Sony hasn’t screwed me out of anything. I don’t use OtherOS because I, like most people, didn’t buy a PS3 to use as a computer. We bought it to play videogames. OtherOS is useless to me. Every update did nothing negative to my system, and I’m using a SLIM version. There is nothing silly about what Sony does. All they are doing is providing stuff to their users, and users like you ALWAYS DEMAND, DEMAND, DEMAND. You think you can do their job better? I think not.
Also, if any of you complain about Cross Game Chat for the billionth time, don’t you think Sony is actually looking into it, and that they won’t announce anything until they actually have something??? I don’t see what the point is for CGC when I can do the same thing w/ my phone on speaker. Also, I don’t wanna chat w/ a friend who is not playing the same game as me. Waste of time, and useless feature, imo.

Appreciate the hard work. Really excited for the 3d blu-ray/photo update. I used to be an xbox 360 gamer only and my ps3 would collect dust, but here in the last few months Sony has really turned up the heat and turned things around. After the 3d gaming updates and all the great psn titles the 360 is the system collecting dust and it just feels inferior to the ps3, great job Sony. 3D gaming Rocks!!!

Hey nice update except for one thing. How is track and field one of the mainstay games that defined the ps1 and deserved to be mentioned in the playstation’s 15th anniversary? By no means is it a bad game, but is it a classic? No. The first to weeks we were treated to classic games such as sudiken and 2 castlevania games, both of witch were main titles in the ps1 library and great games.
This week I thought we were going to get something like crash bandicoot or spyro or even resident evil, all of those games helped define the system as the best of its time. I really hope that next week there will be some truly classic games up for sale. I mean I had my money ready for some good discounted games but I will have to wait until later. Anyway, happy 15th sony!

It was a really great update, but because it came early, I am sad. I was going to buy the Monkey Island Special Edition bundle tonight before the usual update tomorrow, and I find out that it is not on sale anymore… I hope you guys do a sale on it again, because they are great games, and it was a great deal. A great update, though, so I’m both happy and sad.
I do not like facebook and don’t want more facebook junk on the PS3. What I have been wanting is a better web browser though. Please Sony. Make the facebook stuff a paid option from the store and keep me out of it.

any one knows if i need the turntables to try the dj hero 2 demo, i mean can i play with dualshock only?, and for those asking the sonic adventure demos, it’s excatly the same of dreamcast but a little sharper, the rest it’s exactly the same, obiusly this does not count for those that never tried a dreamcast…and at this time should stay away from sonic adventure, it’s just good ol’ memories

Amazing update Grace! Glad it’s a bit earlier that usual too! I’m loving the PS Plus content and all the free trailers of Medal Of Honor and the free themes! Can PS Plus start getting some dynamic themes as first promised? :)

I mean, only 1 theme? Where is the dynamic themes? More avatars? better free games? WOW, its terrible. Sony’s online service is a joke. I love PS3, but who ever is working on plus, and the online service needs to be fired.
Im a PS+ subscriber. I downloaded the demo for Savage Moon since it is being offered to us at a 50% discount this week, however when i tried going back into the store to buy the full game, only the demo was available. Did anyone else have that problem? How are we supposed to buy the full game with our 50% PS+ discounts?
PSOne Imports is cool and everything and I accept that the games aren’t being localized, but…
Couldn’t the titles of the games at least appear in alpha characters on the XMB? Also, since Monkey Paw has menu translations up on their website, could they maybe attach a page of text to the beginning or end of the software manual so that it’s accessible from within the games?
BTW, for anyone wondering how they’ll manage to play, Gaiaseed is pretty much localized already, having English menus and on-screen display and even the option to choose between English and Japanese voices. Cho Aniki, on the other hand, is probably incomprehensible even if you’re fluent in Japanese! (Just remember: Circle to “accept”, X to “cancel”.)
Well not over excited for this update but I was planning to get Savage Moon and seeing it on plus for only $5 :] it will be worth it. besides that I look forward to the next update!

if you plan on taking advantage of the 50% discount on Savage Moon, dont download the demo first. I did and now it wont let me buy the actual game (at full price or PS+ dicount). im waiting for a response from SONY to help me figure this out.

Both of the Japanese imports are amazing. 2 Cho Aniki games on the american psn store is something I thought would never happen. I Scooped up both Aniki & Gaia Seed for the PSN Plus Price. Love them both. Cho Aniki should be played amongst a group of friends for the laughs to be had. Hilarious Series.
I gotta agree nice update but one thing is missing AVATARS,can we please get some new ones.
