Rey Gutierrez's Avatar Posted by Senior Social Media Specialist

Happy Halloween! Not only do I bring you this week’s new releases on your favorite PlayStation console, but I bring you a collection of last minute Halloween costume ideas. Zeus! Ares! Athena! Oh my. Your favorite mythological Greek God-killer, Kratos, returns on the PSP this week with God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Stayed tuned this week when we debut my latest video feature when I visit the set of “God of War: Game Director’s Live,” where the game directors of God of War reunite and dissect the making of their epic saga. David Jaffe’s and Cory Barlog’s PlayStation 2 classics God of War and God of War II are remastered in high definition and bring the Blades of Chaos to the PlayStation Network this week.

The PlayStation horizon is filled with games this week branching from the PlayStation 3, PSone and even the PlayStation 2. Ditch the candy corn and get ready for delicious PlayStation Halloween treats in this week’s The Drop.

Isn’t breakquest already released on PSN? I’m guessing it was just on the PSP PSN and now it’s the PS3 PSN. At least we get a PSone “classic” even though we should be getting some really good ones, at least there’s the STRONG possibility of Parasite EVE 1 AND 2 releasing on the US PSN probably before The 3rd Birthday releases.

When will we know the new release date for GT5? You guys promised a new date at the end of october.

Speaking of Toy Story, will we see Toy Story 2 as a PSone classic since it was rated by the ESRB? Hope so, but I guess we haven’t seen, possibly due to the same reason the current Disney PSone classics were taken off of the US PSN.

I’m hoping to see some price drops on some PSP games on the PSN such as Soul CaliburL Broken Destiny or Street Fighter: Alpha 3 Max, or something on my list of wanted games, it would make a great birthday gift for me. My bday is this Friday so hopefully I’ll get some money and download a new game for my PSP Go.

This is looking like a great week for me. Ghost of Sparta & Blood Stone are definite pick ups.

I preordered Ghost of Sparta off of Amazon and can’t remember if I got release day shipping or not, so I may have to wait for that one.

I eagerly await Blood Stone as well, because I just read this week that MGM is going through with their bankruptcy filing, so the future of the James Bond movies is currently a mystery. Blood Stone is about the closest thing Bond fans, like myself, get to a new Daniel Craig movie.
