Happy Halloween! Not only do I bring you this week’s new releases on your favorite PlayStation console, but I bring you a collection of last minute Halloween costume ideas. Zeus! Ares! Athena! Oh my. Your favorite mythological Greek God-killer, Kratos, returns on the PSP this week with God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Stayed tuned this week when we debut my latest video feature when I visit the set of “God of War: Game Director’s Live,” where the game directors of God of War reunite and dissect the making of their epic saga. David Jaffe’s and Cory Barlog’s PlayStation 2 classics God of War and God of War II are remastered in high definition and bring the Blades of Chaos to the PlayStation Network this week.

Not big on dressing up with you family’s ashes for Halloween? Maybe dressing up as the adorable EyePet is a good alternative to the blood spilling and vengeance of Kratos. Grab your PSP, PSP Camera and your EyePet and take your virtual critter out to the park this week, when EyePet: Your Virtual Pet comes scratching at your door. The PlayStation horizon is filled with games this week branching from the PlayStation 3, PSone and even the PlayStation 2. Ditch the candy corn and get ready for delicious PlayStation Halloween treats in this week’s The Drop.

Ray, you have a POOR way in communicating to the people on this blog about the release or any information concerning gran turismo 5. I would say close to 85% of the replies on this blog are about the confusion over the supposed release date of GT5 THAT DOESN’T EXIST. This is not a good way to get customers to sony playstation by lying about an announcement for GT5 near the end of october when this post is for november 1st with NO release date. I don’t blame you ray but come on, get the heads of sony to communicate alot more hell better with us on certain games like gran turismo 5.

Hey, who’s picking up GT5 Tuedsay?!?!?!?!?!

Oh wait…you have screwed us over AGAIN, Sony. How ’bout a release date? You said by the end of October.

Well, you have 15 minutes left Eastern Time. Looks like you can’t follow through AGAIN.

Glad I have Superstars V8 Racing, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and other assorted racing PS3 games to keep me occupied.

Just dropping by to say thanks. Really looked forward to November. Now I just want a release date, just like all the 4 million Day 1 Purchases on here. (BUT IT’S NOT LIKE YOU’LL READ ANY OF OUR COMMENTS ABOUT GT5, BECAUSE YOU’LL BEAT AROUND THE SUBJECT UNTIL YOU HAVE TO ADDRESS IT.)

We know PD missed the date by 3 days, so what does that mean, Sony?

I think we can take the truth whether GT5 comes out on December 7th or in March; we just want a truthful answer.

Got to speak up sometime. Why bot today? :)

Wow GT5 fans have to be the most impatient group out there. I’m sorry but spamming the blog is not going to make it come out faster, posting in all caps does not make you sound angry, it makes you sound like a moron.

Threatening to buy it used and or skip it all together is a completely useless point. You’ve been bad at waiting a few extra days, your not going to have the will power to skip purchasing it and or waiting a month for a used copy to come in as we can all tell by your posts.

Is there a possibility of any Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 stuff in PS Home? Cause it would be pretty cool to get Goku’s outfit or Vegeta’s (And make a female version too!) or any of the other characters as well.

Cool it with giving Rey crap. Sony will make announcements when they’re ready, be mad at them if anything. Rey can’t just say whatever he wants about it, he and Jeff are some of many representatives and do what they can with what they are provided.
If they just said whatever they wanted about it, it would cause even worse PR around the release.
Just please be respectful.

Every retailer has a place holder date, but wouldn’t it be nice if Sony would give a real release in the next few days?

If a new date isn’t given out by Friday, then something fell between the cracks.

But as the days slip away so does their credibility. I have faith, though.

It’s a pity most of these GT5 comments are a bit spam,
but we GT5 fans do have a point.
It’s wrong to fill the comment box completely with the word GT5,
but it’s reasonable to ask for more info on GT5.
We are left in the dark.

Worst PR in history…No news means this to me: the game has some serious issue and everyone at Sony and PD regret to admit that it can’t be released this year. Yet. So they’re planning how to tell us the truth bit by bit, not to shock the whole world all of a sudden and risk a total riot under their buildings.
