That’s your fault for living in a state that has such a high tax rate, let alone internet sales tax. It would be like someone telling you cry a river when Sony does a firmware update and your system crashes because of it. Oh well, cry me a river. No this is very much complete nonsense to be taxed after 4+ years of not being taxed? What’s even more absurd is that a lot of people have issues with their CC no longer working even though in the past they have, but of course smart individuals like yourself are above these trivial matters with your awesome 13% sales tax.

pretty much like you do with rockband and what not (except it would be nice if the rock band songs were indented as well. its just easier to look at that way.
one more thing, the PS Store is starting to look a little cluttered with all the starting categories at the top of the new releases section. maybe you can put those categories to the right of the content in a list that we can navigate through. good organization can really improve your experience with anything really. just a suggestion

Are people really complaining about paid DLC for Joe Danger? Number one, it’s only a buck, and number two (and this is the most important), YOU DON’T HAVE TO PURCHASE IT.
Even if you buy it all and the game, you’re still saving money over how much Joe Danger was yesterday.
hope to see legend of dragoon, vagrant story(which was released on the european store a year ago), digimon world, megaman legend 1 and 2, twisted metal 3 and 4, persona 2, parasite eve 1 and 2, and so many other great psx titles this holiday season…
and hope to see Crisis core,Metal gear acid 1 and 2 for psp in the playstation store… I would buy those games in a heart beat
*sigh* You guys really need to start having demos for all of your downloadable games like 360 does. A lot of these sound promising, but I just don’t have the kind of cash to drop $10+ on what could very well just be a good tagline from a guy with a marketing degree.
That being said, Pac-Man CE DX is awesome.

One question for all, I have plans of buying a PSP Go early in december with the 3 downloadable games. Can I buy games for PSP on the PS3 Store even though I don’t have a PSP yet?
And if I do, will I still be eligible for the 3 downloadable games that comes with the PSP GO?
I don’t want go missed this great offer for MGS: Peace Walker and Dissidia Final Fantasy.

I have contacted support several times about my credit card suddenly not working on the store anymore to no avail. I am told “they are looking into the issue” and “lot’s of people are calling about it” but they can give no further information, and suggest I purchase a PSN card. What gives? I have a perfectly functional credit card from a nation wide (international even) bank, which worked fine as early as 3 weeks ago, and now I am unable to add funds to my wallet. This is incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. There is no issue with my address, there is no issue with my card, and none of my information has changed. I am seeing authorizations post to my account but the transactions on the store do not go through! I am not alone in this issue either. I sincerely hope this is addressed in a more forthcoming manner before the holidays.

Already bought Auditorium and it looks and plays just as awesome as I thought it would. I thought playing with the DualShock 3 would be kind of awkward but it plays perfectly.
I tried the Pac-man DX demo and really liked it. VERY cool game. I’m seriously thinking of getting it when I get some more $ on my PS3. I’ll have to wait and see what else is out by then. :)
@Backbreaker I’m sorry you missed this, but 4 months ago IIRC visa US changed their policy regarding PSN purchases, and made it so that like other PSN zones, it verifies your address before charging.
for that reason, you can no longer purchase with a Visa CC unless you live in the US or Canada and your address matches the one on the card. for all of us international shoppers, we now need to pay the “you live overseas” fine and use PSN cards. I recommend MaximusCards.com, you pay an additional 18-25%, but you get the code E-mailed to you instantly.

I don’t live in the States. Canada doesn’t have its own PS blog. No point really, we get all the same updates the US store does.
You clearly lack an understanding on how taxation works. See, it’s not up to Sony whether or not you get charged tax. That’s your government. And if they up and decide to say charge tax on the Playstation Store, then you get charged tax on the Playstation Store, and there isn’t a damn thing Sony can do about it. So why exactly are you all complaining to them? Common sense people. You want to do something productive about it? Write your senator. Your governor. The guy in the White House. I’m sure they’ll all have all sorts of sympathy for you having to pay sales tax on a purchase like you’re supposed to.
Steam charges tax.
Direct2Drive charges tax.
XBLA/WiiWare cards are taxed (whereas PSN cards are not, because you pay it when you purchase your game, and being taxed twice is very much illegal in both our countries).
Welcome to being a citizen of any country that charges sales tax. Be glad you got four years of not having to. You were lucky. That luck ran out. That’s the way the cookie crumbles.

Joe Danger- Good luck getting me to pay for costumes for a game I don’t play anymore! I’d honestly buy these and go back and complete the rest of the title IF YOU HAD *REALLY* LISTENED TO YOUR FANS AND ADDED CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS! Really!? A DLC update and still no patch for this essential feature? There are not enough games with CS support, and downloadable games like this with throwaway, unlicensed music like this are the worst offenders. Unacceptable.
Rock Band Network- My favorite artist released a song on RBN over a month ago. I went to download it, only to find it unavailable on PSN- though it was available for purchase 10/15 on XboxLIVE. Harmonix says the approval process on PS3 is slower and it will be there eventually, but for chrissakes, it’s been over a month! These are just RB songs, how much approval is really needed? Pick it up on the approval process, this is absolutely ridiculous and makes Sony look less committed to delivering content than their competition- and on a multiplat game, that’s only going to mean constantly driving more potential customers to the other guy.

I buy content on a weekly basis from the store and last week I was unable to use my discover credit card, which has been tagged to my psn account for the last 3 years. After calling both the credit card company and sony CC weren’t able to figure out the problem. Sony advised me to purchase psn cards to add money to my account b/c they coundn’t figure out why my credit cards were not working. I live in the USA and my credit card and plastation accounts are to the same address that I’ve been living in for the past 10 years. This is very frustrating, all these great sales going on and I have to wait until I acquire a stupid psn card. Please help and fix whatever problem is going on with your store. Thanks.

I shouldn’t be paying taxes for digital goods in the first place. They’re digital, I don’t physically own them. Furthermore, it’s absurd to be taxed after 4+ years using the PSN just like it be absurd one day if you woke up to find your CC magically doesn’t work on the store anymore. This is just nonsense. All this does is reinforce my original sentiment, if Sony wants my money then act like it otherwise I’ll be buying less from now on and either waiting for Amazon to get their store in order or just get them same stuff on Xbox Live Arcade.
Easily one of the best updates in a very long time. Dragon’s Lair, Magic the Gathering, Destruction Derby were instant purchases. I’d buy more, but GT5 is out today. Very nice update Sony.

I just was curious why all of a sudden I have been getting charged tax on my purchases. I still live in the same state and haven’t changed any other info.
It only had started in the last month or so.
Tax has always been charged on PS Store items. That’s why when you buy a PS card from a retailer their is no tax on it. The tax is on the store, NOT from the retailer. It’s always been that way and it will not change :)
pretty sweet for all the sale games for the psp. nice to see some love, but the selection is pretty weak as the only game im most likely going to get is prinny. hopefully more games will be put on sale like tekken 6, or maybe some old classic psp games be put on the psn like Crisis core?

thats not true i dont get taxed on both psn and at stores, but there are some stores that do tax on those cards. its mainly 7-11 which is why i never buy cards from there anymore, but places like walmart never charges tax on the card itself, and psn here in hawaii doesnt tax.
Final Fantasy is now 10 dollars?! I couldve saved my money and bought my self another game! Sucks for those people who bought it for $40…
Finally Sony got it right. The psn plus is finally good and VUDU is better than zune. You can watch any movies first 2 minutes free. The interface beats netflix by far, Any movie released to dvd is there to rent or buy. And lastly you only pay as you go. Its free and they will give you the first hd movie free. We are watching GROWN UPS free tomarrow on psn
You can watch trailers also. WHat next Sony, I think you finally gert it but we will see?

Instead, signed on to my girlfriend’s account and entered the credit card info there and had to buy the game through her account.
That info prolly wont help you, if you want the game bought on your account then just wait 24 hours and try again i suppose.
#147, #31 and others with the credit card problem where you go to buy or checkout and it says funds could not be added to your card, I had the same problem as well last night trying to buy 30$ in games. I hadn’t used my card in more than a month on PSN. It worked fine for the last few years though before hand.
Anyways, the only way I could buy anything on the US PSN store was to go into my account settings and enter a completely different credit card’s information. Trying to update my old credit card that I did in anyway didn’t seem to help the problem, so if you have a 2nd credit card you can try to use that instead, otherwise maybe the only alternative is the PSN cards until they fix this. At least they should fix this, otherwise next time it happens I doubt myself and others will try to fix the issue on our own or buy PSN cards to workaround it the next time this happens.
And the European Store got… a bag of poop with a ribbon. Sad for them…
