I’m happy to let you know that we’ll offer our biggest PlayStation Plus publish to date coming up in December just in time for the Holidays! We will be giving more than $50 of content over the next two weeks, essentially paying for a full year’s subscription to PlayStation Plus, making December a great month to sign up.
Kicking things off on December 7 is the LittleBigPlanet spin-off PSN title, Sackboy Prehistoric Moves. Earlier this year, European PlayStation Plus subscribers were given a full season download of Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse, regularly priced at $34.99. We heard the feedback that US subscribers would like the same content and are happy to report that all five episodes will be available to US PlayStation Plus subscribers on December 14 as well.
Along with Sam & Max, we are discounting Marvel Super Hero Squad PSP for those PlayStation Plus subcribers that have a PSP. Gamers can take Blue Tongue’s humorous outlook on the Marvel universe for a spin. Marvel Super Hero Squad PSP will be available for 50% off starting December 14. Man! I could’ve waited a few months to get Sam & Max for free (with Plus purchase)! But then, I wouldn’t have had anything to play this past summer! And Crash Racing! One of my favorite PS1 games!

Player one requires Move, the other players don’t.
Who do I have to e-mail about this? The past 3 games that have gone free, I already own. Now Sam and Max is free and guess what, I already own that. This is getting out of hand. Please Sony allow for users to pick their free games.
@Grace: This latest batch of content (SPM, S&M:TDP, MSHS PSP) seems more geared towards kids than adults. Please don’t forget that many adults are PS Plus subscribers too & not all of us care for this juvenile-oriented content.
please allow for “1-hour preview games” (like infamous and red faction) to not be displayed in our trophy lists until we purchase the game.

Why is Fieldrunners on the list again?
i h8 ps+ cuz i want it, but the stuff it is good for, FOR ME, only comes every once in a while. Like now.
@ Everyone who is complaining about Fieldrunners. Stop. Facepalm yourself. Think about it. Not every single person signed up for PlayStation Plus when it started the first month.
Why shouldn’t they be given the opportunity for that game? Use your brains people, they work.
i’ll give max and sam a try… though i was/am still hoping for the free ($50 worth) dlc for fallout 3 that the uk plus subscribers got a couple of months ago.

Yeah man I understand it sucks, but I’m pretty sure they won’t start repeating PSN Games or PSOne Classics anytime during the first year, maybe once or twice the second, but it’s bound to happen.
Minis and other various themes are probably going to be re-used more frequently.
Of course that could just be one huge typo for the minis this December :P

Look If you have not realized it PLAYSTATION PLUS is a GREAT DEAL… IF you like games than do your self a favor and get PLUS already! I have saved at least 50 bucks and I am in more betas than I care to count.
@Gogo I don’t think they will repeat content, there is enough to go around because new games today are prime for Plus next year. You pointed out giving later subs access to previous content and that logic simply doesn’t hold, sorry bro lol

I don’t agree with that logic. They could offer six months worth of content then offer it again incase people “missed it” the first time. Thats not my problem. Don’t offer me the same thing I’ve already been offered and received. If they want to cater to people who missed it, fine, then offer it and another mini for those of us who already got it.
Out of Mini’s? Then declare you are out of mini’s and offer me a dynamic theme in its place, just tell us thats what your doing. There are a lot of ways to fix issues.

I have a colleague on a forum who just renewed his PlayStation Plus subscription after letting it lapse previously. The free games he downloaded during his subscription period did not renew. He checked with support and this is apparently the policy.
Grace, or someone at Sony, can you please clarify. The unofficial PS+ FAQ post here on the blog says games renew when the subscription renews, but evidence appears to be to the contrary.

Besides they are still testing out this service, probably going to have huge changes for it come end of year one.
What about BOOM BLOCKS? We were supposed to get that last week in NA. But EU only got it instead.

@ Gogo_ZvC PSN has weekly games, I don’t see the content drying up. Besides your justification is offering games to people that missed out, not about content shortages and I doubt that is part of the strategy. You moved your goal from one to now two years lol
We need edit, but if anyone wants Wipeout or Shatter or Critter Crunch that bad, it’s available for sale. So it’s not like the content is gone forever.

I said two years in my first post… And I wasn’t talking about content drying up either?? My argument was that people will get the games they missed out in earlier months with Plus if they signed up late. I just don’t know when, but I guessed within two years we will start seeing repeats to accommodate the late subs. Of course this would mean the service would stay the exact same it is now.
OMG and in Europe we get fantastic games as Cuboid or Astrotipper next month!

People who missed out should be left that way. They pushed PS+ for months with a 3 month added bonus incentive. If they didn’t grab it during that period then they should do without. Thats like using a DLC code past the expiration date and it still works. I know, terrible analogy but that is how it is.
If they didn’t feel that PS+ was worth getting during that period then they shouldn’t be entitled to those offers during those months. Its as simple as that. They would still gain the benefits of the new offers posted and the people who did cough up the money for PS+ previously wouldn’t have to deal with the recycling of content. We’re not even 6 months into the service and seeing recycled content. That itself looks like a bad sign.
