@megamixer thanks for the reply — but that blows!!! I got one of the free packs as a pre-order bonus and now that’s preventing me from taking part in the sale item that I’ve been waiting for.

Look like EA is also nickel-and-diming Dead Space 2 the same way they did the original! I will pass I got enough of developers making cuts to game to sell them separately at launch.

Times were better when I could buy a $20 psn card and buy 2 games.. but now i cant

Sorry dev’s that made tumble i guess i cant purchase your game while it’s on sale because of greedy tax people.. i can only get dead space: extraction atm because now its $20.99 instead of $19.98 for a 15 dollar game and a $5 one..

idk that just doesnt seem right to me for some reason .. I pay $20 even for a card at the store but i turn around and get the tax reach around in the PS store..

so technically a psn card at blockbuster is like 23 bucks

Thanks megamixer, for keeping it real and saying what needs to be said. You sad sycophants who keep mocking him with all the wit of a second grade bully need to grow the hell up, Sony doesn’t know you exist and doesn’t appreciate you defending their honor. The update lacks all the fundamentals that make good updates.

Speaking purely as a PSP owner (sold my PS3 due to frustration with Sony as a whole)this update just sucks. No classic games, (why sit on so many wanted PSone games that are rated and ready to go?) and the only PSP game uploaded is grossly overpriced.

I really want to buy Shatter at this price so I can have it permanently, but because I already downloaded it through PlayStation Plus, I don’t have the option to buy it anymore. Please, please change this! It is so frustrating.

bought deathspank and swords and soldiers xD nice update.

to all the moaners and whiners, sell your ps3 and join msft instead. people are so ungrateful. just gotta be patient.

Still nothing about “Under Siege”? What’s taking so long?

KongWen said:

People are “ungrateful”… to a multimillion-dollar transnational corporation? Gimme a break. If people are unsatisfied with the product, they’re perfectly allowed to be unsatisfied. It’s not anyone’s “duty” to sit patiently and blindly and willingly buy up whatever Sony releases without complaint. The whole “sell your PS3 then!” argument is also tired and nonsensical.

That said, the other side does seem to have a totally ignorant sense of entitlement. Hey, why doesn’t Sony just release every single PS1 classic on PSN next week. Oh, and make the PSP games all $9.99, even new releases!

Get real. There’s no vibrant artistic hippie video game “culture”/community any more than there is a fast food community or a rugby shirt culture. Like them, we’re simply consumers of products. Buy what you like/want, don’t buy what you don’t like/want. Some products will appeal to you immediately and some won’t.

BTW, @ #3 – what did you win?

Game Trial 60min for PS+ members. most of which are over 6gigs and take me 4-6 hours to download on 20mps. some thing don’t add up. waiting 4-6 hours to play for 60min. They should give more time say 2hours. just saying. update was good but I didn’t buy nothing. $95 for dead space 2 was my highlight of the day:)

Xbox live has major discounts on major DLC like GTA IV, RDR, and three times as many discounts on offer, and sony wonders why PSn is so far behind.

The only thing I conclusively understand from the blog comments this week:

Megamixer is signing in with multiple accounts…and posting comments in support of himself using different usernames.

Well said. I’m sure they space the PS1 titles out to make sure to not grab attention out from a main stream BR title. I think that all they ask for in the most part is “They are coming in the spring” response. All they ask for is communication, something that doesn’t seem to be forth coming.

I believe the work around is buying the game from Amazon and getting a code. That would allow the repurchase. But I’m not 100% sure as of yet.

Consult your local tax authority. Sony only collect on their behalf, they are the ones asking Sony to do so.

TwinDad said:

Give it a rest. There is no need for personal attacks.

If you don’t care for what he’s posting, just don’t read it. AS Kong said you don’t need to buy what he is selling.

When I saw Motorstorm 3D Rift I thought about buying it, so, I discover that: no split-screen, no online gaming. Very sad.

Didn’t know there was a pre-order bonus with SSFIV! I guess pre-order/new copy bonuses aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. I’ll keep that in mind for the future!

It sucks but could be worse. You could be charged tax on the card itself and on PSN!

Are you saying there’s no way to purchase games you got through PS+? That’s just… what the heck was Sony thinking? This is proof positive they hate money :o

It would be amazing if every classic title hit on one day but I’m not advocating it. Though Sony did manage to get around 100 PSP legacy games up on one day for the Go launch. Think of it this way. The first PSOne classics landed on 12/03/06. If they released even 1 a week since then the total would be up to about 215. Instead, 4+ years later there are only 119 on the store… :(

I picked up Hoard. I have been meaning to get it for a little while now but new disc-based releases have been taking all of my gaming budget. I could not pass it up at $7.49 though.

@172 “Does anyone know if Dead Space Extraction requires the Move or can it be played with the Dualshock.”

It can definitely be played with the Dualshock. I downloaded the demo and played it a little bit last night (with the dualshock, i don’t have Move). That being said, really didn’t feel like a lot of fun with the dualshock.

Hey PSN need to stop slow poking around & bring Sonic Adventures 2, Sonic Shuffle, Skies of Arcadia, Power Stone 1 & 2, Jet Grind Radio, n Jet Set Radio Future or let us know what games are they going 2 pull from SEGA n what games are they not going 2 pull because the suspense is killing me.

Wow, $15 of extra DLC for Dead Space 2 released on the game’s release day. Sad, all they want is more money on top of the $65 I paid for the game. Multiplayer is also a DLC for this game. I’m going to play through the single player and re-sell this game on Ebay. I do not put up with this crap.

DLC = holding parts of the game back to attempt to steal extra money from customers.

TwoIncheS said:

Xamindar – Pretty sure multiplayer was free with the game….yup ok now im 100% sure it was free.

Xamindar said:

January 27th, 5:47 pm

TwoIncheS – I never said it wasn’t free (for me). It is still a DLC as it requires a code to enable. No worries, I didn’t expect to do much multiplayer with it anyway, mainly bought it for the single player story. I will just resell it with the unused code so the next person can enjoy it.
