I have 2 things to say. 1. there were hackers on ps3 before some virgin cracked the ps3. 2. 12% and fail = sony epic fail.
1st try failed at 9%, 2nd try failed at 11%, 3rd try failed at 8%…
Why can’t you ever release these patches in the morning to spread out the bandwidth. No, you have to always release them in the evening when we’re getting home from work and now we can’t play online because we can’t download due to the servers being overwhelmed.

Thank you for absolutely nothing Sony; the useless endeavors you make to spurn the hacker community and ruin everything for those of us who actually buy everything.
A security patch that fails and locks everyone out of the PSN is an f’ing waste of space, get your crap together or start facing the loss of customers.

As far as the lack of new features in updates, I’m sure something is going to be coming eventually. My PS3 does everything I want it to and more

instead of sitting here complaining about updates that block out modders why dont you guys complain about not haveing in game chat changing up the xmb stuff like that cuz they aint going to give it us until enought ppl complain about not haveing it cuz they have the time and money to do it if there making these stupid “minor” updates

Remember when Sony actually used to release firmware updates with features? I understand trying to stop hackers, but seriously Sony sure does suck lately, with your lame “Community” software update that killed the community, to the crappy trophy website that’s been broken almost a year.

holy friggin cry fest in here. its an update deal with it, these things take time. on the cross game chat issue expect something nice when steam comes to ps3 in the near future
about 15-20 mins so far and only 12% i had to it took me like 10 mins to even get from 1-2% :( this update is pissing me off
Well this is useless, Sony should just give up. They can’t win this battle. They have come and they will conquere all that stand in they’re path.
i cant believe how many people are having problems downloading this update, its working like clockwork for me as usual i hope this patch keeps all the hackers out of our lovely playstation world

I wish they would add something, anything, to these security patches to make it worthwhile for the 95% or so PS3 owners who are honest.
No probs here. Took maybe 10 minutes tops. Now after that breather…back to looking at dirty pics of hot woman and watching Ancient Aliens.

It’s interesting to see how many people think this “security” update is about game hackers. By security, it most likely means people who have found ways to hack the PSN store and download stuff for free, not people who cheat a few extra kills out of call of duty…
