  • Deal Breaker::: lifetime subscription.Since there is not one PSN or PS Plus has came up with,I am selling this game.I even bougjht the collectors edition with such high hopes…Oh well.

  • Still not sure this would make me want to bite. I don’t mind the subscription fees, at all. Hell, I paid for WoW for 6 years. Sub fees don’t bother me.

However, I have several friends who are playing it on both platforms and I’ve gotten the same “reviews” from all of them: You can reach max cap in a matter of days and then there’s little to do short of creating a new character. The common consensus is that the game gets stale, very fast.

From the way it’s been described, although they’ve all praised the gameplay and customization, the amount of content in the game currently is barely worth the original retail price.

Secondarily, I’m disappointed there’s ZERO trial for the game. As a working adult who has to be selective about entertainment expenses, it’s a tough sell for me to drop $60 on a title just to get an initial 30 days. If it turns out it’s not my cup of tea, I’m out $60 for a glorified Blu-ray coaster.

  • please tell me psn+ people get something. if not, one of them has to go!

  • As, a plus member It’s sould be additional cuts in this plan …. I’ll take the discount … but, still a lifetime offer would be great.

  • I would be excited about this offer, which comes down to $120/ year, if I hadn’t just shelled out $134 for the one year subscription just 2 days before this was announced.

    Less than impressed, Sony.

  • And what about those of us who have already paid the $41 for the three month membership? I am a PS Plus member and Im on DCU online eveyday for at least 4 to 5 hours, got get my moneies worth! The game is totatlly worth the money to buy. I will be playing this game for a long time to come, or at least untill Marvel Universe Online comes out or Shadow of the Colossus which evers first !

  • In other words “We didn’t get enough people to buy our crap, Lets screw a few more before we are yesterdays news” Ummmm no thank you, YOUR GAME SUCKS!!!

  • @56
    1. As someone who played Diablo 1&2 those games are not MMOs the those are single player games with an online feature that sucked. Make sure next time you know what your talking about as a Fan of
Blizzard nothing you said holds water even Blizzard has said there online game play for those two games suck

    2. As an avid wow player they dont release expansions that you have to buy every 4 to 5 months, the expansions come out every 2 years, your thinking of the free content patches that every mmo does.

    3. People leaving really the number of players goes up every year their at around 12million now, yes people take breaks from the game to play others but come back. Iv played wow since its release and taken time of for about 6months at a time but always come back.
    4. MMOs that are free to play can be good but they dont have the quality and amount of features that one that has a subscription does.
    5. Wishing that DCUO fails so u can play it for free is sad go play something else we DCUO fans dont wont you

  • @100 It costs money to maintain and run servers for online play for MMOs, just because a mmo is free to play doesn’t mean that developers don’t get there money thru lets say paid content, gear, char slots etc.

Can you show me a staff member who says they don’t maintain servers? I think not.

  • Time to call Sony, seeing as I already took a leap of faith and paid the $41.99 3-month fee on the 29th.

I’ll pay to play but I refuse to pay $12 more every 3 months than someone who takes advantage of the deal tomorrow.
That’s a customer service PR nightmare just waiting to happen.

  • I will get it but i have a question. What if i get the deal then at some point i cant renew my subscription for a certain amount of time (due to money issues) would i lose my deal and have to pay 15 bucks a month again.

  • Great Deal… i’m Sold

  • I would love to try out this game but I really don’t like the idea of paying a monthly rate to be able to play my game as many other have said. We spend enough many on games and systems as it is

  • If I just bought the game, how do I buy the 3 month package to avoid it charging me for 1 month after the free month expires? I try on the site, but it keeps taking me to a page to buy the game at 49.99.

  • To all the whinners, complaining about ” I paid $400 for the machine, $60 for the game, $30 for the internet, not paying to play the game…… why don’t you try it, monthly updates adding new content is awesome. Or you can buy a game like Force Unleashed for $60.00 (oh yeah add-on content is like $10.00) , beat it in 20 hours and sell it for $12 at gamestop…. welcome to the real world.

  • I’m having the same issue McyDs. If someone could shed some light on the subject I’d be much appreciated. And yes subscription games are completely worth it especially if you buy a new game every 4 months or so. I can play the same subscription game indefinitely for 15 bucks a month (hopefully ten if I can figure out how to lock in the legendary rate). When you’re spending $60 every 4 months or less for new games. So it really comes out even if you ask me.

  • Awesome videos and everything, love the package and the batman statue, got it in my hand for like 10 minutes deciding but then i remembered i dont own a xbox cause i hate having to pay for playing a game that i already spend so much money and spending $99.99 on a game that to really get anywere ill have to keep paying monthly fees make me put it back on the shelve i love DC and was really hard for me to put it down , but i do have a life and a family to take care of ,so NO THANKS, but i do wish you guys good luck and hope your game gets to be #1 but ill stck to free online gameplay! and if a lot of games for PS3 keep coming out this way i guess ill have to get rid of my PS3 Just like i did with XBOX!!!Since i wont have more games to play on it loli already own blueray players at home dont need another to sit there!!

  • I bought the game and I don’t like it at all. I can’t believe you have to pay a monthly fee to play it after forking out $60+ for it. They created a game to suck money out of you. I am a DC fan and I am ashame to say that this game is not worth it. The monthly fees are too much and after a certain level the game is boring. Not a good way to keep customers I’d say. So now I have a game disc that is worth less than a coffee coaster since you can’t trade it in at all. Very bad business!!

  • It was updated saying offer available until march 15, now my free subscription is about to run out and the offer has disappeared. what gives???
