Hi again! It’s me, Jeff from PopCap. You might remember me from such blog posts as the one I wrote on January 28th in this very space, announcing that Plants Vs Zombies was coming to the PlayStation Network! If you missed that announcement, don’t worry, since I just said it again in that last sentence. So now you’re totally caught up with everyone else and don’t have to feel all left out and ornery! Yay!
So now that we’re all caught up, I have even better news for you today: Plants Vs. Zombies is available NOW (read: soon!) on PSN for a measly $14.99. In a short time, you can close this window this second and start pummeling those infernal, annoying, and dentally-challenged zombies with your loyal, brave army of peashooters and cabbage-pults and gloom shrooms right from the comfort of your very own PlayStation!
I know you want details, rather than more of my dribble, so here’s what I can tell you. Plants Vs Zombies has:
- 50 Adventure levels. The complete, original game.
- Five modes. Adventure, Puzzle, Mini-Games, Survival, and everyone’s favorite, the bliss-inducing Zen Garden.
- Co-op and Versus Play. Team up with a friend or challenge them by each choosing a side—plants or zombies.
- 21 mini-games. Fight the fun-dead in minigames like Zombatany, Wall-nut Bowling and Heavy Weapon.
- Interactive leaderboard. Upgrade to bigger & better houses as you progress and stroll through the leaderboard neighborhood to see your friends’ digs.
- 12 Trophies. Earn awesome ornaments to decorate your lawn.
And that’s really all I know. I’ll be happy to stick around to answer questions. Just try to keep it relatively civil because my therapist says I need to avoid hostile situations ever since I punched that stupid old lady next to me on the plane because she wouldn’t give me the armrest.
Oh yeah, and enjoy the game!
Okay, forget that. Killzone demo is up!
Well, I would be wishing I had the money in my account to buy this right now and getting my free copy of stacking, sony finally blocked the firmware update dns bypass again; so instead I’ll be updating. :(
the demo for kz3 is there I’m downloading it now and it is about 1.5gigs 2d version don’t know how big the 3d version since I don’t have a 3d I’m not going to bother downloading it
Qore for Feb is out download list :D. Store is slowie updating now. PLUS updated out now too.
the 3d demo of kz3 is about 1.5gigs as well
Hmmm…that’s abit too expensive for me…I think it’s cheaper by a lot on BigFish.
I was hoping for a $10 price.
I would have asked you to loan me the five bucks I need, but I already read the Goon comment…..I’d rather not have them show up at my house.
I’ll wait and see if + members get a discount!
from the looks of it they are almost done updating it so they should be posting it very soon
I blame the zombies for this slow updating.. as they are slowly eating the entire update teams brains.
zekececil14, no the guy from that post you showed me is a slight bit better lol
@OniJsan
HEY! I already said that.
The pricce is the price… get over it. The game is worth $15 as long as you have a job.
Im waiting on the Blog post for the update. I MUST warn Grace about the massive onslaught of complaining gamers comming.
Hi there, Kevin Butler here, some of you are probably wondering why Sony has been so late to update the PlayStation Blog tonight. Well the answer is simple… we here at PlayStation were so excited over the release of Plants vs. Zombies that we had an all night kegger party last night. There was all the booze you could drink, all the babes you could mmmmmm, and all the crack you could snort. yes it was a good night for us at PlayStation… I even got me a nice souvenir *holds up red lacy pant— aloons…*
normally, that’s an average Monday night for us anyways, hence why our store updates are always so late… that and to be honest… we really don’t give a crap anyways… we love sitting back and watching you fools dribble over your keyboards in anticipation and post witty comments like this one all over the blog. I’m hoping to reach 5,000 comments before tonight’s update. new record maybe?
Anyways, last night wasn’t like other Monday’s though, no sir. We were waaayyyy overjoyed this time. So we apologize (half-heartedly) in advance (for things that are our fault but we will surely deny, gotta save face somehow) for this delay.
rest assured you can expect the store update some time next week.
Enjoy! :D
zeke we have a right to complain with service like this.
@zekececil14:
Zombies must be eating my brain also.
I Love Itttttttttt……..
Quote from the reply to jgrizzle358 earlier
“Notice that “jgrizzle” is suspiciously close to “Jeff Green.”I should probably choose my aliases better!”
JEFF! That is impersonation of Sony personel! You sir, are violating the User Agreement! D=< lol =D
The store has updated. Quit complaining.
@210 you dont snort crack!
Excuse me, Mr. Jeff Green, do you know if a disc release could happen down the road? I dislike buying games digitally and much prefer a physical copy. The reason I ask is because that “other system” had a physical release as well as a digital release. Thank you!
That is a good question! I’d think that the precedent set by THAT OTHER SYSTEM probably does mean there’s a strong chance. I know that PopCap does a lot of business at retail, so I’m sure there are folks in our office actively campaigning for a boxed version. :)
