We warned you that PlayStation Network was getting hot, and now it’s official: Spring Fever has hit PlayStation Network! Spring Fever is one of our biggest annual events celebrating PSN’s exceptional games, including hot PS3 and PSP games at deep discounts and new featured PS3 releases each week, all downloadable on PlayStation Store. And it starts today!

Spring Fever - Gamers' Choice Award winners

This week, we’re kicking off Spring Fever featuring the winners of the first-ever PlayStation Network Gamers’ Choice Awards who battled it out for top honors in four categories – Best PS3 Downloadable Game, Best PSP Downloadable Game, Best PS3/PSP mini and Best PSN Exclusive Game. Each game is on sale at a 30% discount in the PlayStation Store and available for a 50% discount to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Check them out below:

    I will be taking advantage of some sales. First on the block is Castle Crashers (strategic voting success!).

    Eat Them! and LC:GoL are also under consideration.

      Just a note for the Sales after Week #1 (discount on PSN Gamers’ Choice Award Winners), the discount will be 50% off the regular price for ALL users. Also, note that the sale offers change out each week. So be sure to check back often to find out which sale titles are offered next…

    I’m psyched for the Dead Nation Price, def picking that up. Hey, there’s rumor about a PS Store overhaul.. are you guys working on that. Also, is LG’s situation with you guys and the whole hacking fight affecting funding for us? I mean, the last time we saw a reasonable console update was ages ago. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for the exclusives… I was just expecting a little more software work.

    I wish Beyond Good & Evil weren’t an XBLA timed-exclusive for their spring promotional thing. But sales on Dead Nation and Guardian of Light are nice consolations.

    Why do not I see the games at a discount? all games are regular price, and I still say that again tomorrow. It is assumed that the discounts were available from today on March 8.

    Any PSP owner who does not already own Ghost of Sparta is most probably dead.

    ….why not discount great games which may of been overlooked on PSN? Like last year’s Socom Fire Team Bravo 3 (PSP) or MAG (PS3)?

    Another idea to please more people would be to increase the number of games you put on sale from 4 to 8 (more choice = less whining)

    (1)Any Idea when Sega Bass Fishing (Dreamcast)will be coming to PSN?
    It was announced 10/20/10 but I haven’t heard anything since.

    (2) Will you be putting the Uncharted 2 DLC on sale again soon?

    :s not being a Playstation Plus subscriber is a bummer it seems, I spent tons of money on PSN, but I don’t buy Playstation plus because you just get “licences” of the games they give you, not ownership. I bought Ghost of Sparta the first week it was out digitally to get all the extra goodies, but I would still like the other games to be out there for the same price for everyone, it would just make the deals seem less for those who don’t have plus, paying the “chump” price, doesn’t get people to buy. I bet you’ll see Plus subscribers buying a lot of stuff, but the rest of us won’t, because we want the full deal.

    Just my opinion. The only game I want to buy of the PSP ones (that I don’t already own) is Phantasy Star Portable 2, but I won’t buy it at 30% off when there’s a 50% deal, even though I can’t get it.

    @25 yea you don’t own the stuff but when you play them and win all the trophys in the game what else is there to do? Renting anywhere from 10-20 games a year on PSN for $50. and you keep the trophys. sounds like a win to me.

    Discounts on new games. Yeah!

    You really need to work with retailers to get deals on the PSN cards. At least once a month MS Points are on sale, your go on sale maybe 1 time a year. Far too infrequent to get your store in gamers minds.

    A little disappointing to not see Under Siege on those list of upcoming games. Ohh well It’s not that bad really, I’ll be purchasing all those upcoming games anyway (Not sure about Moon Diver though) especially Slam Bolt Scrappers!! :D

    Plus has been well worth the investment, for those of you on the fence.

    Especially since I’m a guy who would have picked up games like Stacking and a lot of the free PSOne classics at full price.

    I mean–it doesn’t repair any of the issues with horrible online party/chat/multiplayer stuff, but since my PS3 is my single player machine, it’s only bolstered by an incredible stream of deals via Plus.

    This week just keeps it going (Dead Nation here I come).

    Would like to see all the games that were in the contest to be discounted….. Let us all experience what others voted on, esp since I don’t have a single one of those.

    Very excited for the Guardian of Light discount, I just downloaded and played the demo the other day and was blow away by the title’s quality. Will for sure pick that one up.

    Now, down to business…

    WHERE’S MIGHT & MAGIC: CLASH OF HEROES HD!?!?!?!? CAPY…!!!!!

    Beyond Good & Evil HD would be nice too…

    The upcoming sales are pretty disappointing. Guess I’ll get tetris. The only other good one is Laura Croft, but I bought that when it first came out. Oh well. Discounts on Castle Crashers and Tetris is better than nothing, I assume if every PS3 owner bought 2 downloadable games during this sale you guys would [DELETED] with delight.

    other than dead nation, which doesn’t have a demo to invite potential buyers into actually buying the game, the other games listed for this promotion are do not peak my interest in any way whatsoever.

    where are the classics ? the current big titles ? the hot games ? considering the countless titles which are available, along with add-ons and media related items, this list is weak imo.

    i was actually looking forward to this event…. what a total let down :(

    none of these interest me. but then i get an error everytime i try to sign in and my internet connection is good. ps3 has a 100%. and im using my laptop right now and not having any problems. so i hope this gets fixed.
