First off, we have a couple merchandise updates: the bonus offer PlayStation Plus subscribers get when they sign up for the 1 year package is ending on 3/29, so the next few weeks mark the last time you’ll be able to take advantage of this opportunity! Additionally, the previously announced full game trial for MAG is getting switched to a MAG demo for all PSN subscribers. The MAG demo comes down on March 29.

PlayStation Plus subscribers will get SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs Beta, along with the PlayStation Move Heroes full game trial for free in the March 22 publish.
Then on March 29, Plus subscribers will get Comet Crash and Vector TD for free! Take back your comet from the enemy in Comet Crash using build turrets, lasers, and a number of other units to obliterate your foes, or join up with a few friends in Co-op mode to fight together. Players can also go head-to-head in Versus mode and see who is worthy of conquering the massive Comet.

On March 29 you get Ricochet HD, the futuristic brick-breaking title, for a whopping 75% off the regular store price! Ricochet HD offers 150 levels of action, and the 10 unique planetary vistas are certainly easy on the eyes.

I have been a PS+ subscriber since day one and even if some of the free content was already purchased by me, everything in total has paid for my plus service 3 times over, I will be resubscribing before my subscription ends 15 months for the price of twelve…YES SIR!!!

Please, put more full retail PS3 games on PSN to download! I’ve got 320 gig PS3 and not even three percent of it is full. Also PSN full retail games save me from disc changing for every game. I’m a little lazy I guess.
Sony, keep up the great offers! As for repeats, if you have had your account since day one (like myself), you can expect there to be some repeats. After all, its only a repeat is you are a new subscriber.
Personally, I would like to see the ability to have a point system, where being a PS+ subscriber would allow me to have a 50%-75% off reedem code each moth to buy any of the titles I choose. Imagine getting five of those special codes a year, at sign-up of PS+. If I don’t like one of the offers given, I still have an option! That way, the “repeated titles” arguement wouldn’t be an issue.

Multiple plus subscribers complaining about three games that were repeated a few months later have been ignored.
I’d be angry, too, except for the fact that I think the last few months have been pretty solid…..but waiting all month for the March free games and finding out they’re repeats…and finding out that the best thing this month is a beta i should have gotten into first with my Killzone preorder instead is kind of a bummer.
But Sony reps ignoring multiple questions on this just adds insult to injury.
Super excited about the Socom 4 beta. After watching the gameplay videos from PAX East, im counting the days. Other than that im glad they are making the investment in PlayStation Plus worth it. Keep it up Sony.
1 hour game trials need to be at lest 2hr not just one. Most games that u just start playing have stories and learing how to play the game for the first 30min or so. So you may only get to play a game for a good 30min.
Also I would like to see more DLC go on sale And not just Full Games. I have been waiting 2years for Motor Storm PR DLC to go on sale and it NEVER has. Dosnt Sony own the Motor Storm IP why is there not a SALE???
I don’t know. I have PS+ but some of the games we get always seem a little on the cheap side. It’d be nice if you guys hit us with something epic once in a while.
I’m really in it for the early demos and betas so it’s all good with me regardless, but it would be cool anyway.

While I absolutely feel that my Playstation Plus subscription has shown extreme value, I am a little curious as to how often and we’ll see repeats like this. Excepting the SOCOM 4 Beta and Playstation Move Heroes full game trial, the Playstation Plus Highlights for 3/29 are all games I’ve acquired through the service before. I don’t even think it was very long ago, perhaps less than a couple months, if I might be so bold.
I have gotten tons of really great deals from Playstation Plus on top of discovering a few games I wouldn’t have ever tried otherwise. For me it has been a great service, but I do feel a little trepidation when I see that it is starting to rotate. I would certainly be okay with this as long as additional services we receive as a member, mainly things like automatic download and cloud storage for saved games, remain a huge focus. I would like to see MORE of those services, to be quite honest.
I got YLOD and I have PS+. Is there any way to get the free stuff before they come down, some how else?
One thing I would like to see on the store are the Battlefield 3 Videos in HD. Why haven’t they been added to the store?
I love how the Blog is giving us alot of upcoming release news. I usually had to depend on another source to try and guess what’s coming, but it’s nice to get it straight from the official blog.

What, Abe’s Exoddus and Vector TD again!!! This thing is kind of lame since we already got both of them some months ago!!! I know some are new to PS+ but why giving them again??? If they wanted those, they just had to subscribe then. Now, everyone gets those games again even if we already have them!!!

To all of those complaining about repeat content, I would like to point out that in March we will have received the following:
PSN GAME – Sonic the Hedgehog, Comet Crash
Mini – Enigmo, Pix’n Love Rush, Vector TD, A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks!
PSOne – Spyro Year of the Dragon, Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus
This means that NO ONE has been shorted on their monthly PS+ games. Thus far, any repeat in offerings came in the form of additional games for that month. In other words, these repeat games do not hurt old members and they are simply a bonus to newer members.
Wow, a new game as a trial game. PS+ has already proven itself, but if you guys continue making newer games “Trial” games, you have a homerun on your hands.
Question: if I play the Move Heroes trial, but get the disc version instead, will my save recognize a disc version?
SOCOM 4 Beta looks interesting. Hope it’s good as I already have the Full Deployment pack on pre-order (although, to be honest, I’m much more interested in that for the move gear. The game itself just feels like a bonus!)

i do enjoy my playstation plus for many reason, save clouds, demo’s, discounts and beta.. but i got 15 months and juss purchase my subscribtion in DEC 2010.. how is it that i am gettn soo many repeats already.. :( i defend ps+ vs xbl many times.. … but i cant with this !!

That’s not how it works. Every four weeks we get a new PSN game, two new minis, and a PS1 game.
Sonic, Enigmo, Pix’n Love Rush, and Spyro were the content for one month. We got these over two weeks ago. In two weeks, we get the next batch, and the first batch is taken off the store.
Comet Crash, Vector TD, A Space Shotter, and Oddworld are the games for the next month. The only new game we get for the month is Comet Crash. We might also get Sonic 2, but a Genesis game doesn’t make up for the fact that those of us who have subscribed for more than three months or so aren’t getting two minis and a PS1 game.
Ok, so three questions.
1) Is it possible to buy more time with PS+ while you still have an active subscription? My PS+ membership ends on December 24th but I’d like to take advantage of the bonus three months offer that’s currently in effect.
2) Will there be some other bonus offer added to users who choose to purchase the year subscription? I realize that buying a year gives you a discounted price per month, but having that extra three months really set the deal over the top and made it 110% worth it.
3) Might there ever be a Plus program that extends to the PSP? As is themes, avatars, and titles outside of PSOne games/Minis can’t be used with the PSP. I like the fact that the PSOne titles and Minis can be used on the PSP, but creating a Plus program that gives PSP titles, PSOne titles, Minis, and PSP themes would be pretty sweet for PSP owners, particularly the Go users.

You know, there are a lot of awesome games I missed out on getting from PS+ as I’ve only been subscribed for the past 5 months. I’m very disappointed that when you guys have chosen to repeat releases (***Vector TD, A Space Shooter For 2 Bucks, and Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus***) Not to mention I believe you just recently offered Comet Crash for $2.50 on PS+, now you’re offering it for free only weeks later.
I’ve been very pleased with every update there has been for Playstation Plus since I first bought my subscription. However this update, with its repeat offers, is extremely disappointing. I shouldn’t ever have to feel like my subscription time is being wasted with repeat offer.

I was under the impression that the offerings were based upon each month and that the updates were to be offered every other week. This might create some confusion due to the fact that some months (such as March) have 5 Tuesdays in the month. The most recent FAQ that I found (Blog post titled “playstation-plus-faq” posted on Sept 10th 2010) states the following:
Q: What do I currently get with PlayStation Plus?
A: PlayStation Plus offers a variety of discounts, games and exclusive content. In general, you will have access to at least the following, which rotate monthly:
1 PSN game or PSone Classic game
2 minis
A monthly Qore single episode
So based upon the most recent answer from Sony that I could find, no you are not getting ripped off this month. You might not be happy with what you are getting, as I wish we would get something other than the old SEGA game for 5 months straight, but you are still getting the new content that was promised.
to me PS + is a great value. one way to make PS + more enticing to gamers is adding cross game chat =)

The 3/29 update is our April content. The first Plus update ever was at the very end of June. We didn’t get a second game in the beginning of July. They don’t stick rigidly to the calendar month. I don’t know how they will adjust for the extra Tuesday in March, but I highly doubt Sony would have an update with a new PSN game, minis, and PS1 game on 4/5.
Even if we do get Sonic 2, it’s just a Genesis game, and isn’t two new minis or a PS1 game, which is what I signed up for PS Plus for. Sony have done this before. They recycled Fieldrunners a couple months ago too. We never got a second new mini for the month then, and I doubt they will do anything different now.
I’m just very surprised they’re using the same content for another update, content that wasn’t very exciting the first time around.
Like I said before, I’ve been extremely happy with PS+ ever since I signed up. I haven’t always liked the free games (I don’t think I’ll ever play Crash Team Racing or Digger HD) but I’m just as happy to have gotten them because its something I didn’t own, and I’m not the only one that plays on my PS3, and someone else may enjoy them.
I agree with the last two people that commented, I really don’t want to get an old genesis game as my free downloadable game for the next five months. I can think of a couple old genesis games I’d love to get, but they’re not in the genesis pack thats being trickled down to us, so I know battletoads double dragon isn’t coming my way any time soon.
Oh well, here’s to hoping that the update after the repeat makes up for it.
PS. THANK YOU for finally releasing Hard Corps: Uprising. That was literally my deadline update day, where if you didn’t release it that day, I was not going to buy another thing off PSN until you did. So good job
