I hope you PlayStation Plus members and Qore subscribers are enjoying the SOCOM 4 beta. One of the more creative multiplayer modes found in the beta (and the final game, of course) is Bomb Squad. With only one player able to defuse the mode’s eponymous explosives, things can get hectic – especially when that player is a heavily armored (and heavily armed) badass.

In the video below, Zipper Interactive’s Seth Luisi shares some of the nuances of the new Bomb Squad mode, and how the multiplayer beta will help make the finished product that much better:

    nice.. I love to hear they are willing to listen to fans through feedback.. last night I was testing the beta and just found that menus are just too simple in appearance..

    It’s nice that they listen to feedback. It will be nicer if they take some action based on feedback.

    How come it took me 3.5 hrs to receive updates to the beta after the install. When I test my network speed on the PS3 it says I get 7 mb/s. The update was 1561 mb. Which should have taken like 4 minutes to download.

    I am very interested in this mode. I really don’t last long when playing with not reason other then kill the other team.

    And at 1:37 in the video you can see one issue with the game. The butt Stock is covered by the uniform and looks like it goes inside the body/shoulder. I saw it at 1:26 also… so there is some feedback from a beta tester. I am trying to find and exclusive beta forum to log reports into like MAG had a special bug report page to file reports with…

    But this is a little different I guess.

    Hey bro..Hows it going Jeff?…I would love me some Socom Avatars also..Dynamic theme also if possible. Socom…Nothing quite like it.

    Think I saw a pic of you and jack and Glasswalls.You remind me of this famous actor that I cant seem to think of his name right now..

    @ speeedracer…go to the Socom forums. Sign in with your existing PSN ID and password..You will see a thread called Socom 4..Look right above it and theres the private thread…There is where the testers can leave their feedback…
    Please support this game…

    Downloaded it yesterday and sad to know you have to download 1.5GB in-game :( Background downloads FTW!
    Why cant it be like a 2GB client w/o any in-game download with the exception of
    little game patches, oh well at least its not as huge as MAG or DCUO beta and i
    may leave it downloading while i play some Ghost of Sparta on PSP

    Mann I understand COD sold 13.8 million copies and Zipper wants to get into that money but they put us hardcore Socom fans on backburner really bad..how does respawn make it into standard mode and classic is for Socom fans..y isn’t classic the standard mode and respawn secondary?? Your selling us out because of money and its not right..we’ve stuck by Zipper for 7 years now and they treat their community like pawns..I hate fps and Socom is for me but its wrong how us fans who have stuck by you for so long and u hand us the real Socom experience on the backburner..and respawn is Standard lol what a joke

    As a PS+ subscriber, I jumped on the chance to test SOCOM 4 … I have never played a SOCOM game before. I heard they were different and interesting tactically…… however, SOCOM 4 feels more like COD… even with the “different game modes” … I was hoping to get a break from that FPS style.

    The game looks amazing, but the movement seems sluggish at times, especially when the game doesn’t rely on tactical fighting play. I think true SOCOM fans won’t enjoy the new direction that the iconic series is heading.

    Loving this Beta test! Was invited by e-mail, so I got in a week earlier than PS Plus. I am very good at this game and it still has a SOCOM feel to it.
