It’s been a busy 2011 already for us here at Sony Computer Entertainment! We’ve seen the launch of LittleBigPlanet 2, MLB 11 The Show, Killzone 3, PlayStation Move Heroes, and many more—and we’re just getting started. Tomorrow sees the release of Patapon 3 and April 19th marks the North American launch of SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs. We have more heavy hitters coming throughout the year and I’m excited to announce that this week you’ll be seeing new information popping up on the PlayStation.Blog and through the gaming media offering sneak peeks at some of our biggest titles launching in 2011.
As a preview to our biggest industry conference—E3—we’re conducting a media tour this week featuring early looks at some of this year’s most-anticipated PlayStation 3 titles: inFAMOUS 2, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Resistance 3, Twisted Metal, and UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception. We’re inviting several of our media partners to get a firsthand look at new content and information from each of the titles, and we’ll be sharing what we show them on the PlayStation.Blog starting tonight and throughout the next week.
In fiscal year 2011 alone, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios brought you 50 full game releases across three PlayStation platforms. Our close-knit community of development studios and partners is one of our most valuable assets in developing innovative gameplay that pushes the industry forward.
For example, both Guerilla Games, the team behind the Killzone franchise, and Zipper Interactive, the creators of SOCOM, worked closely together to develop the new PlayStation Move sharp shooter attachment. And with PlayStation 3 being the only gaming console readily capable for high-definition stereoscopic 3D, we’re continuing to see our developers advancing 3D gameplay. This week on the tour, Insomniac Games North Carolina studio will showcase a 3D CG-animated gameplay experience with the first hands-on of Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One in 3D. Insomniac Games also recently announced 3D and PlayStation Move support for Resistance 3, and Naughty Dog has blown people away with the fire effects they’ve shown off in their first single-player 3D reveal. And there’s much more to come!
As we head into this week of activity, we just want to thank you for your support throughout the first part of this year and we look forward to giving you many more great games throughout 2011. I am picking up all these games day 1 except Twisted Metal. Its gonna be a great year for the ps3. :D

LoL we got 3-D and it’s 2011(3 years and counting) and I still can’t play PS2 games on my PS3. And all these Remakes I dought we will ever see it. And Sony listens to us LOL:)

Hopefully they’ll have some nice surprise PSN games to announce soon. What have Idol Minds and Team Ramrod been up to lately? Something new from The Last Guy and echo series devs would also be nice…
i cant wait to play Motorstorm Apocalypse , Sorcery , Resistance 3 , inFAMOUS 2 , Uncharted 3 but i really want to know more , i mean a lot more about NGP , besides the first party games you guys already announced coming to the system are there any more first party games part of the launch line up ? i would love to see a Motorstorm NGP game being part of the launch line up

Too many mainstream titles. My avatar should tell you what camp I’m in. Not happy with these titles Sony. Thankfully I can import on the PS3 with ease, so even though you’re ignoring the niche market (like visual novels) I don’t have any concerns.
Will be getting all of them best dam year to be a Gamer and a PlayStation Fan Boy :)

My most anticipating game of the year is… well that’s the thing I love them all.

Insomniac, Sucker Punch and Jaffe’s studio are not 1st party.
Sony should buy out Sucker Punch, Jaffe’s studio, Quantic Dream, Clap Hanz, From Software and Level 5.
Speaking of which, there’s no RPG teams within SCEWWS, that’s a little weird.

Cross game chat? That’s what I’m waiting for (oh and a few of these titles) but XCC would make this all the more fab. Especially since in games like Free Realms, the chat is made of fail.
@1 agreed, love the PS3, by far the best system, BUT, it really is lacking in any RPG’s other then multi-plats, why is sony only doing action games/shooters this gen? Need a good first party Sony RPG.

Not many games out there are as unique as inFamous, Twisted Metal, and Uncharted. And plus we got LBP2 in January…can’t ask for much variety than that.

What happened to THE LAST GUARDIAN? and when is the Team ICO Collection coming out???????? And whatever happened to the SCE teams that used to produce RPGs like Legend of Legaia? At the very least PAY SEGA to develop another exclusive Valkyria Chronicles title for the PS3? Heck! You should team up with Square-Enix and create a new action RPG in the vein of Kingdom Hearts (which they refuse to make for PS3!), but instead make it in PLAYSTATION UNIVERSE (instead of Disney characters!)! Sony, listen to me!

I”m so sad about this list, yeah I wont deny that I”ll buy Infamous 2, Twisted Metal, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (maybe) and of course Uncharted 3, but what about Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection and The Last Guardian!!! I”ll be honest, I really don’t want them to delay it, but man some info on this games will be more than enough for me. The Last Guardian is my most anticipating game of this year, and it makes me sad that it isn’t on this list. Hopefully we”ll know something about it in the coming months. *fingers crossed* lol

inFamous 2 is my most anticipated game this year, across any system! I’m also looking forward to seeing the follow up to Warhawk… that game was an underrated gem! Til this day, probably the most fun I’ve had with an online game.
And PLEEEASE let the rumors of a Heavenly Sword 2 game be true!!!

@71, umm, it’s a fact the PS3 has virtually no RPG’s, all those u listed are ACTIOn games, it’s all sont does now it seems. Remember the PS2, the biggest console of all time? Lots of RPG’s, not one person said anything about a lack of variety, sont has that more then anyone, EXCEPT, RPG’s.
I understand that Sony must seek market trends and White Knight underperformed (maybe because it is an average game) but, there are like a bit of a flood of first party shooters already Warhawk, Killzone, Resistance, SOCOM, MAG… there isn’t any capable RPG developer left? Losing From Software’s exclusivity sure was stupid.
Man, such a killer line up for Sony in 2011! Then you factor in the big 3rd party games, like Crysis 2 and the upcoming Portal 2, and it is just one crazy year.

Haha! Suckers! I already have MotorStorm Apocalypse and it is awesome! Only bad thing about it is some of the music, not all, but some of the music is reaallly bad. Can’t wait till Uncharted 3 and well…. Every other game this year! What a fantastic year for gaming indeed!! Now, off i go, back to finding all the treasures so i can platinum Uncharted 2
You keep talking about the Move yet where are the games that are designed SPECIFICALLY for the Move itself? Release more 1 to 1 ratio sports games for the Move like found on the Sports Champions game disk. I want to bowl, swing a bat, swing a golf club, play some tennis without buying a game designed for a dual shock with a small portion of Move sprinkled on last minute to get that Move logo on the box. Why can the Wii do more with less raw power than the PS3? Make it happen Sony.
I would like to see some classic games from the PSone days comes back, namely the Psygnosis games. THose were the games that cemented me as a fan of the PlayStation brand. They don’t have to be a full fledged Reboot like Twisted Metal. They could be a simple remastering with trophies and HD like The Sly Collection or an HD revival like Bionic Commando Rearmed.

the big guns are coming out, for E3 i like to see NGP or PSP touch, and Zone of the Enders 3 or 1&2 combo on Blu ray, games coming out on playstation store after the E3.
A nice variety of games. Ratchet and Clank All 4 One will be a nice breath of fresh air from all the shooters this year.
