Q&A #2 for PlayStation Network and Qriocity Services

Yesterday, we addressed a number of your questions relating to the malicious intrusion into our network. You can find that FAQ here. As we get closer to restoration of service, here are more answers to your questions, many of which are more gaming related:

Q: Will our download history/friends list/settings be affected by the PSN downtime?
A: No, they will not.

Q: Will trophies that were earned in single-player offline games during the outage be intact when the service resumes?
A: These trophies are intact and will be re-synched when the network is once again operational.

Q: Will my PS+ cloud saves be retrievable?
A: Yes, once PSN is restored.

Q: What if we have a subscription to PS3 MMOs DC Universe Online or Free Realms? Will we get compensation for that?
A: From Sony Online Entertainment: “We apologize for any inconvenience players may have experienced as a result of the recent service interruption. As a global leader in online gaming, SOE is committed to delivering stable and entertaining games for players of all ages. To thank players for their patience, we will be hosting special events across our game portfolio. We are also working on a “make good” plan for players of the PS3 versions of DC Universe Online and Free Realms. Details will be available soon on the individual game websites and forums.”

Q: Will there be a goodwill gesture for the time we haven’t been able to utilize PSN/Qriocity?
A: We are currently evaluating ways to show appreciation for your extraordinary patience as we work to get these services back online.

My advice in this time is to take a step back, think Long nad hard befor we psot out of anger. We can not decide who is rite nor wrong. People have the right to recover and do what they feel they need to do. We can not say and individual does not have the right to do what they feel they need to do. For some it is simply protecting there families, For Some they are angry and for others they may have there own agenda.
The truth is that what has been done has been done . We can not nor should we control or try to control the actions of others. Instead we should for better of for worse be human to one another. And remember Everyone This Goes Way Beyond the PSN Network . It effects Not jsut the PSN but many major companies.

We can’t just view this as a PSN issue as it far exceeds the PSN Network.

So with that being said I wish you well. and take this time to be with family and friends or go for a walk or go play with your dog or cat or go work in a garden :)

Hey, I’m just glad to hear that everything will be up and going. An Uncharted 2 Multiplayer event would be awesome though! I can’t believe Sony’s being pressured into giving things away for something like this. WASN’T THEIR FAULT! But Sony, we would like a super sweet Fortune Hunter Edition Uncharted 3 that we can all buy though. You did it with God of War, with LittleBIGPlanet 2, with Killzone 3 and with InFamous 2, lets see some Uncharted 3 lovin so I can get to Pre-Ordering the game. I’ve been holding out the announcement of Collectors and Ultimate or Fortune Hunter Editions.

I live in Mexico and currently am trying to access DC universe online but I am not able to redeem the code that came with my game, is there a time frame for this issue to be fix in my country??
