Leo Tolstoy once said, “The two most powerful warriors are patience and time.” Ask any PlayStation gamer who missed out on the Call of Duty: Black Ops double XP weekend a few weeks ago, and they’ll tell you: Leo knew what he was talking about. While other platforms soaked up the extra experience points, PS3 gamers had to hang in there while PlayStation put everything in order behind the scenes. In cases like that, patience isn’t a virtue — patience is a pain in the butt.
As the double-XP date loomed nearer, more and more PlayStation gamers wondered if they’d be able to take part in the festivities, and Treyarch – developer of Black Ops – swore to fans that they would not be forgotten. This weekend, they’re quickly making good on that promise, with a double-XP period that lasts from this Friday, May 20th at 10am all the way through the weekend and beyond – the good stuff keeps coming until 10am on Tuesday the 24th. What’s more, that’s going to be even sweeter thanks to a Nuketown 24/7 playlist that’s being added just for the event. Nuketown is my favorite map because it’s small and chaotic – and the close confines often result in high kill counts, which can really push you to the next level of Prestige in a hurry during a bonus XP weekend. It’s a fast, intense map – but don’t let that stop you from uncovering some of Nuketown’s hidden secrets.
So if the two most powerful warriors are patience and time…well, you’ve been patient, and it took some time. This weekend, enjoy being the warrior.

i have blk ops and bbc2 and bbc2 is way better in almost every aspect except not as many game modes why didnt blk ops make the trees or grass move with the wind or buildings be destructed ?

Microsoft shelled out millions of dollars to get the map packs before PC and PS3. That’s another reason Xbox is [DELETED]. If they didn’t need to have DLC exclusives their members may have have free online as well.

I’m sure if this COD’s online play is acting anything like COD MW2, good luck. How can the PSN go down for a month and come back online with more problems than it went down on. How many people think its wrong that our create a emblem option can be banned due to adult content on an “M” rated game…pretty sure that means its a game intended for adults…but thats not the case because for all u that dont beleive that reporting some one really doesnt do anything i will be the first to tell u your dead wrong…i saw that my emblem and background were gone and received a message saying that i am banned from using the feature for two weeks and then once i got it back was stripped of all emblems, backgrounds and layers…talk about [DELETED] seems to me they r promoting this for kids so better change ur emblems to big bird and elmo before your a victim too…lmao

@the xbox guys in here. I think its funny you go out of your way in here just to talk smack, about how the xbox is supposedly better than the ps3. Yeah, the psn got hacked, big deal. I have a life, and could actually wait for it to come back up. I wonder how many of you “hardcore” gamers would freak out if that happened to the xbox. I’m guessing a lot. And yeah, xbox gets the cod map packs before psn, only because microsoft paid them to do it. Talking about xbox being better… LOL. What games do you guys have that we don’t? Halo? haha big deal. We got Uncharted, Infamous, God of War, and Killzone i believe. Just to name a few. I know there’s more for xbox that isn’t on ps3, but those games don’t even match up to Halo, so who cares. We also have Twisted Metal on the way, while you guys have some Sesame Street game on the way. Have fun with that :) Bottom line, PS3 is free to play online, and has better games. And if you really think you’re that good on ANY COD game, i’ll get a 360 just to show you whats up.

yeah xbox can play games, ps3 can play games. and its true you get what you pay for, bioptickiller7 you must have not of had an xbox when there service was down for 2 weeks as well. I know the ps3 was down for a month, but how was xbox live taken down?? oh i guess you forgot. So yeah you pay $60 for a good game, then you pay 60 a year to play online (which i don’t see how anyone could pay to play a game they own, but hey if you like throwing money away then thats cool, throw some here) and if you want netflix you have to one subscribe and pay for netflix and still pay 60 a year for live so you can use netflix. yeah the xbox just eats and eats money. You might as well go ahead and take the total number of xbox units sold and divide that number by 3 then you will get the amount of people that actually had an xbox. I used to have one it broke, i got another one it broke, so then i was like i am done with microsoft. So if you love xbox so much why don’t you go type on there blog.. or did you live subscription run out, i wouldn’t be surprised if the charged you to use there blog

Hey Dan, quick question. I have been waiting for a long time and I think it’s about time that the WAW zombie maps become available for black ops when the store opens back up. Will I ever be able to get those maps or am I just screwed because I didn’t know to pre-order the hardened edition?
I keep asking about this and I do not have a definite answer yet. I am hoping they will release them independently but so far I have not heard any plans one way or the other. When I ask, they just don’t give me a straight answer, so I don’t know if they have a plan and they don’t want to spoil it or they don’t have a plan and they don’t want to talk about it. :)
