thats it i don’t care i need to send it back and hopefully i’ll last atleast 2 months without it i just can’t understand why we got to put up with this virus all of my online friends can play all of there games without any worry so i’m just really P.O because now we got to PAY for the virus in the update THEY CAUSED

at 801 at Naruto7519849: i agree with you and to me sense there cause it, there should pay for are PS3 Slim’s or fat models being affected by it to be fix or just being out new update to fix ether way by them. If its send it to them then there should just handle all the pay and shipping too, or just give way new PS3 system to the one’s who have there PS3 system freezing up or brick up or any problems it haves to get replace by new one with same amount of GB’s we have in are PS3 right now and make up for lost time to these people who are suffering from this problem.

I am one of them too, i am never on the blog alot unless i see something i like and cool on them. For me to be on this blog each day hoping that Sony will reply back to say sorry we cause it and we are working around the clock to fix this problem as fast as possible. And we never plan to hurt are dear Sony Fans by giving them download with virus to cause there PS3 system to break down, freeze up, brick up, or anything of the liking, so to are fans we hope you please understand we are sorry to you all who are suffering from now playing there video games.

WTF SONY!!!!!!! No 3.66 update yet… It’s still a 178MB download. Wake the F up Sony!!!!! don’t make a mandatory update, and then not post the correct one. I am not downloading it with My PS3 again, so it can error 1/2 way thru, and get stuck in an endless loop. like My old 80gig-phatboy did {I have a 60gig Phatboy now }

If Sony spent as much time and money fixing the real issues with PS3, as they do trying to ‘brick’ all the

people people,i have an idea.everyone go onto the playstation.blog and send am email to the customer service.if we have enough people complaining and demanding the things we want, then eventually we will get them. i sent a message to sony the other day about why we haven’t got any of the top requested features, plus why sony continually chooses to ignore us. this was the reply i got ‘we appreciate your enthusiasm and continued support for our playstation family line of products. as you may have guessed, sony computer entertainment america,llc (scea) receives great suggestions from our consumers, as well as from our own employees, and employees of our affiliates, on a daily basis,’ are they trying to insult my intelligence?if they regularly receive great ideas then why hasn’t none of those so called ‘great ideas’ been implemented?

Even I find it astonishing after all this time that not 1 of the greedy corporate buffoons at SONY can beg borrow or buy themselves a clue. They still believe cutting corners & releasing shoddy substandard product year after year after year is sumhow a win. they still seem to think that instead of fixing their problems they can send in their marketing drones to belittle their paying customers will somehow make them “well respected. Lately I’ve been watching the series AMERICAN GREED on CNBC and one thing I observe about SONY is that as a company it exhibits all the traits of the failed criminal enterprises featured in that series. It’s not like nobody has told them their lurching from one debacle to another and are heading for Chapter 11 full speed ahead. SONY as a whole you need to wise up NOW, yes RIGHT NOW. The more people with problems the better i can get this out to the gaming meda and report sony as there causing the problem. Video making does help alot too, if you want to take your time to make one. And i made one myself and i am working on my next video.

Here’s a constructive idea that isn’t about features people have been asking for 5 years. But since this story is already 800+ comments, forgive me if I ask a few times to get it noticed. :)
Before a system update it prompts if you’d like to turn off the system…
I do system updates after an online game tells me I’m not logged in to PSN. So I don’t want to turn the system off, I want to load the game again. But by then my controller has gone to sleep, and it’s just a whole lot of annoying steps to get back to playing.
There must be a flag for what game or disc was launched before quitting to the XMB. It would be fantastic if that was another choice. Launch Disc… Launch Last Played…. that kind of thing.
It would really improve my PS3 experience!

I thought these updates would be beneficial to the user… you know, by fixing glitches, or is it just a major inconvenience when all I want to do is turn on my system and shoot some fools, but all I get now is choppy gameplay with every map I play on Black Ops. It shows my signal level to be good but just to make sure everything was OK on my end, I’ve replaced my modem, wireless router and cables, all at my own expense, I’ve even hooked my PS3 up to my wireless router WITH A WIRE to see if that makes any difference… NOPE! What’s up Sony?!?!?!?!?!?

Well, I´m probably going to get a PS3 in July, but I´m getting it used, since you guys (Sony) won´t give your consmers a couple of features we have been asking for for years and that have even been said by you (Sony) that are coming (check Sony FW 2.40 video that is on this site which said universal music playback will come with update) or even an official statement with the truth to this situation (detailed of course). And with the money I will save I could even get an Xbox 360. You have done this to yourself. And you know there are a lot of people that feel the same way and have already done this.
Version 4.00 will do the following…
1. Send a crew of robots to completely rebuild your PS3 and give you everything ever posted that people asked for including- Cross-Game Chat, MKV. Support, Updated Browser, Ps2 Emulation, PC Emulation, Xbox Emulation, and Free Hot Dogs Creation Engine (FHDCE v.5.23! =D)
2. Optimize your menus with YMBs. Sure you’ll lose all your data, but look, ITS A RIP OFF OF THE “better” XBOX 360 DASHBOARD!! Even get fugly avatars that shop at the Gap!!!
3. After this update you will never have to worry about your PS3 crashing again… IT WILL CRASH FOR YOU!! Black Ops? CRASH!! PS Home? CRASH!! Just now turning on your PS3 after 31 months absence??… Which brings us to 4…
4. Permanent Update Engine!! While your not crashing you can play games! Sometimes! With the PUE you will never have to worry about the problems of updating again! With PUE unscheduled updates that can’t be postponed and are randomly sent to you keep you on the edge of your seat!!

My PS3 is working again after i format it 7 times in row.
the last format took 7 hours and 50 mins. Sony You need more powerful CPU, GPU, more memory up to 8GB’s at most for video watching and gaming. I am not sure on PS3 system but on PC the more memory u have on your GPU the better the GPU work and the gaming is alot better on PC thanks to that.
Sony make Qua-Core CPU each running @ 4GHz, with 4 PPE’s and 18 SPE’s.
I am guess on how it works but u need to redesign your whole Playstation with funs on top of the motherboard and at the side. That way it will keep it more cooler down and make power brick how notebook and laptops have. Just like u did with PS2 Slim model. = No more over hearting. oh and use something more better to keep the heat off the motherboard and GPU and CPU.
Everything is all well and good, but, when will I be able to manage my account online?
@826- That´s also a much needed feature, Also, an automatically install feature that let´s us decide wether we want to content we download to auto install or not and being able to finish downloading anything even if the PS3 is off and if auto install feature is on to auto install.

I have a suggestion on how to improve PS+ now, me and my friends have argued and debated that currently ps+ is not worth the money.
sure we might get discounts and betas, but in reality those are minor perks.
I think that with playstation plus you should give the player online server access to each of the most popular games. call of duty for example, any molti-plat that is high in demand and not just that…..
but all playstation or Sony exclusives as well :)
those that are not subscribed can still play online,
but p2p only :)
and lastly give the user the ability to change there psn I’d I would gladly pay a small fee to change my username and still keep my trophies :)

Group has been form to take this to the news and media about your PS3 version 3.66 update cause alot of people systems to freezer up. And sense you cause and it was ur fault you need to pay for repairs or update to fix this problem before it go’s to the news and hurt you down the road. And alot of PS Fan left over to xbox 360 now and some are fighting to get there system fix which you cause. part 2: That what you are during now and you are the bad guys, i am shame to called you my favorite company any more. You fail me sony and not just me but ur fans u hurt really bad. 256MB in the PS3 was joke, xbox 360 had 512MB higher in there system then u. If you had 512MB to 2GB your PS3 problems would be over look and who knows it may have stop the PS3 from freezing up to. ALot of games that need alot of ram to play slow’s down really bad during gameplay and u can notice it too.
U need to recalled all PS3 in for upgrade to 512MB’s or 2GB’s or 4GB’s of ram so the PS3 can run more better with ram. IF not then step up ur game on the new PS system that you are keeping hidden right now. PS4 or whatever u called it, it better have more then 256MB’s in it or else no one will buy it. 512MB is good but u should to 2GB ram at most for the New PS system u have. And the PS Vita should have 512MB’s at most or no one will buy it too, no one wants 256MB in there system. All PC have 1GB normally in then or 2GB at most. You need to have at most from 1GB to 2GB of ram in all your new PS system come.
All I want is cross game chat cuz I like to play infamous and fallout but still wanna talk 2 my friends
