Would love to see a specially designed ps3…. or a different color… would sell a lot more… jus sayin ;) But this is obviously perfect for anyone that still needs a ps3… get it with the best game ps3 will have this year.

Should have bundled the collector’s edition and made the console special in some way. Like a golden color with Uncharted on it with the Naughty Dog logo on it. Something cool like the the FF XII-2 PS3.

Or to expand on 41s infamous theme, a good karma and bad karma 2 controller bundle with a pitch at a new multiplayer mode. With a choice of red or blue console.
Look at the GowPSPs, red! Why not a matching system? With kratos’ weapons all over the controller and a special chain themed USB cord.

I don’t understand the logic behind this… wouldn’t someone who’s plans on playing Uncharted 3 have already played the first 2 and therefore have already have a PS3?
Solid offer, although an UNCHARTED-THEME PS3 would be a lot nicer. Think about that for the Starhawk Bundle and make it happen!
I just don’t get why SCEA don’t make those themed PS3s anymore. Don’t you remember that MGS4-themed PS3? I know it sold quite well, and it was a limited edition version. The japanese-exclusive Final Fantasy XIII-themed PS3 was very well received as well. So what’s holding SCEA back from taking advantage of this very marketable iconic themed PS3s?
Looks like I’m not alone in missing the days of special consoles. Remember the Donkey Kong N64? The Halo Xbox? Japan gets all the special PS3s though.
What’s so special about this? Most of us already have a PS3, so you know we already pre-ordered the game. If it had a different color and the Uncharted log I might have thought about buying it.

Wow, a differently designed cardboard box. I can see why the marketing guys get paid the big bucks. Did it occur to Sony marketing to do a LE Uncharted 3 console like MS have done with Gears 3 ie. a different color with a cool motif (not a picture of Drake)? Apparently not! Yet people here are saying they want one. Europe is getting white and silver consoles, same as Japan. Why won’t these be available in NA? You still have 41 days, maybe you can rustle up some properly designed LE console in that time.
sony i love uncharted alot but u really droped the ball on not putting a skin on that ps3 and on the controller!i would have bought it but since its just a black ps3 im not buying.

Seriously I don’t know why this irritates me so much. Microsoft has put out plenty of special edition consoles for it’s big system sellers like Halo and Gears. Why can’t Sony do this just ONCE for NA? This is your one big system seller type game and you constantly refuse to do anything special beyond making a stupid cardboard box.. so cheap.. ok I’m done complaining.

Good bundle BUT, why doesn’t Sony come out with special consoles??? M$ is making a killing on their special consoles…I myself have the new Gears console and I would more than likely buy a Uncharted console if it different look like every other PS3 out there!! Come on Sony..step your game up!!!!!

Sony could at least put some effort into their bundles. For instance look at the Gears 3 bundle from microsoft and how awesome that looks. As far as I am concerned this bundle has nothing special to offer.
The collectors editions of UC3 would have been better, as well as a UC3 ps3 design. You would have been selling those things like hotcakes.
I guess we’ll settle for mediocre.
If this doesn’t persuade a newcomer to purchase a PS3, there will be nothing that could please that person.

You know….these bundles would probably be more effective if they were they same system with a different game. This same bundle happened with LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, inFAMOUS 2 and now Uncharted 3. There might have been one for Socom 4 as well, I’m not sure.
With the special Uncharted 3 controller I was hoping there was going to be a special PS3. Got my hopes up for nothing.

This is great, but this should definitely be a special edition ps3 like Xbox does with their big releases, I mean the Gears of War 3 Xbox (which my brother bought btw) is awesome looking, why isn’t Sony doing this with the ps3? They do it with the psp and I love it and I bought the Metal Gear PW psp, but why not ps3? I know Japan has a few special editions like the FF13 and I hear the FF13-2 will have one too. A bundle is nice, but a special edition ps3 would move more units imo.
Well, it’s a well premium start to those who want to start out with game, plus and a ps3. I say it’s decent thought out premium.
I remember when they had something similar for the Metal Gear Solid 4 package with PS3. Was nice.

Why the frak don’t we get a colored, themed PS3 & controller with this bundle? This is your creme de la creme game & franchise. There is a horde of over the top Uncharted fan boys & girls who would jump at a special bundle. Hell, I already have 2 PS3’s but I would have bought another one that had a U3 theme & I’d be willing to pay more, too!
You missed the mark on this one, Sony marketing. Why do you hate your American fans by only sticking us with boring black?
U.S. PS3 slim models should have official colored art design on them based on the game that comes with it for a bundle. So far, I haven’t seen any of that lately.

@57 there is most likely some people who have Uncharted 1 and 2 had their ps3 die on them and it was older fat PS3 so it’s out of warranty so they want to get a slim PS3 this system Bundle is perfect for them.

a custom ps3 would be nice, any kind, any time…. lol well guess we always have skins and casing’s which make us open the ps3 to have a sleek/custom look..
some actually do like to have a “tricked” out or different color/design/choice w/ consoles..
doesnt happen too often but when it does wow the systems turn in some nice cashola, msg4 80 gig comes to mind.. 300-600 depending on condition.
I have never had a PS3 system before. I have been playing with the one my boyfriend has, but sometimes we both want to play something different. I wanted to wait and buy one later on this year,( and most likely I will buy this package)but like everyone is saying….PLEASE PLAYSTATION do something with the skin of the system….make it for just limited time! i bet your sales will sky rocket!
there is a website whoch has a mod but it clips on the console, would never know by looking at it.. 50-90 bucks each.. saw the battlefield 3 and it was sick, has a c4 w/ red l.e.d.s under it ,resting right on top of the console and says “place toward enemy” it was bad a%^..
a.c revelations would be cool.. just imagine a skyrim/batman/rage/dark souls/twisted metal.. anything,lol..
i had skins but they suck.. some dont stay on and its not as nice as a special edition console..
i would put my 320 gig in the closet and buy and place an exclusive uncharted 3 console or whatever in its place..
as foolish as it may sound, buying another one just for the appearance, well its just my taste, my money and if some dont understand then thats ok, you will neverr. but there are many who would do the same as myself. and want the same in the console design.
The people thats expecting more from the bundle are crazy…i bought the killzone bundle and all i got was a 160gb playstation and the killzone game at the same price as this bundle =/…this deal is way better so stop expecting alot for a price of 300 bucks.
