Happy UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception Day! It’s not an official holiday (maybe someday), but as many PlayStation 3 fans know, today is the day that one of the biggest releases in gaming hits stores; and you get can even more out of it on PlayStation Network.
Some of you may have already gotten the jump on the Fortune Hunters’ Club (downloadable from the PlayStation Store) which entitles you to the first four multiplayer map packs, as well as the first three multiplayer skin packs. To celebrate the release of Uncharted 3, those 3 multiplayer skins are now available to download! Fortune Hunters’ Club folks are able to grab these skins now for free! If you haven’t purchased Fortune Hunters’ Club, you can still purchase access to it to save over 45% on Uncharted 3 DLC; or if you prefer, you always have the option to purchase the multiplayer skins individually, or in packs.
In PSN Game releases; make sure you check out Hydrophobia Prophecy. This new version of the action-adventure game (with the world’s first fluid dynamics engine for games) offers incredible combat and puzzles. It’s on sale now, but if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you’re able to download the full game free, for this month only.
New PlayStation 2 Classics are hitting the Store today as well. Previously housed in the now concluded Only On PSN promotion, from here on, they will be placed in their own category under the Games section of the PlayStation Store. Bloodrayne, Raiden III, and Harvest Moon: Save The Homeland are all available download and experience in their classic form.
Lastly, we kick off November’s PlayStation Plus content with access to a ton of free content including Hydrophobia Prophecy and 4 PSOne Classics from the Crash Bandicoot family. You can also download the latest Qore free and early. Don’t forget, if you’re not a Plus subscriber, purchase a 1 year subscription and you’ll be able to download Jurassic Park: The Game – Full Series (Episodes 1-4) when it releases on 11/15. DCUO is 122mb? If I recall correctly from the beta, once you’ve downloaded and installed the program, you have the charming surprise of another 15gb download, right?

Looks like a decent update. You list Hydrophobia Prophecy as rated T by ESRB. ESRB’s website disagrees and calls it an M.
I’m ecstatic if it’s a T — that means I’ll actually download it and try it out. Or is that an error?
I always favor T or E10 games — my family won’t play M. But where the last two months’ Plus PSN offerings were good family titles (Plants vs. Zombies and Costume Quest), I won’t complain too much.
I’d be really glad to hear it if Hydrophobia Prophecy were somehow a T, though.

I think it would be nice to have some new psp sales. I know there’s been one on the store every week, but they usually stay the same for about 2 or three weeks then change.
So whens the spend $60 get $10 back thing go into effect? Also can I assume that we are looking at anywhere between 2 to 5 PS2 games being added to the store each month?

@56 Yea, the 122mb is a bit misleading, once you get into the game, you have to download like 15GB before you can do anything.
i probably missed it, but if there is a ps2 icon in the store, that is good news. maximo was listed for a sale a few weeks ago and i could not find it at all.
Nice update. Few things though: I think Phantasy Star Portable 2 was supposed to be listed as a psp game, but it is listed here for ps3. Also, I know that many people were complaining about the Halloween-themed discounts/freebees a couple weeks ago because they were mostly recycled content. I’m sure that between now and next year, there will be plenty more games released that fit the theme to be discounted, an in addition to those, why not add the Hysteria project 1 and 2 minis as well. I’m sure that if those 2 minis were included in this year’s Halloween-themed discount/freebies, there would have been a lot less complaining. Anyway, I know that the time has passed, but if anyone’s still looking for cheap thrills and has an opened mind towards gaming, definitely check those 2 out.

Speaking of price changes, how about finally slashing the cost of Siren? The game is almost 3 1/2 years old now and trying to sell it for the same price as the day it was released on PSN is ridiculous.
Ummm no offense but the $10 should have been given back today. The fact that I have to wait for it isn’t making me happy as a game was just released today that I wouldn’t mind getting and would be quite angry if the price raised on it when i get the $10 rebate.

DCUO is more like 14.5GB than 122 MB plus the file 122 MB that you download initially from the store get immediately replaced by another 125 MB download. Seriously Sony Online need to learn about compression!
Hey, I purchased the Fortune Club pass and I got almost all my content except the Doughnut Lazarevic skin. Was just wondering is this a glitch in the store or do I need to buy that skin alone because I thought the pass promised me all content.

it’s about time PS2 games exist again, and now in the PS Store, i hope this explodes and its a weekly thing, are all PS3 models BC now or what’s going on with this? i’m excited as no other but i wanna know more about it.
Really lame that the skins for Uncharted 3 are already on the disc, but have to be purchased. Things like this are what is wrong with DLC, something that would have been free or unlocked during gameplay is now a micro transaction. Even more annoying is the fact that they removed the single player unlocks because ‘they were causing bugs’. Sucks that priority has been moved from singleplayer aspects to things like paid, on disc DLC skins, and other MP stuff. I’m also contemplating selling my online pass as that is not what I come to Uncharted for.
I’m disapointed that I have so much to complain about Uncharted3, when this has become my favorite series.

Nice update, forgot to get the qore episode, but I’ll pick it up tomorrow. Started Uncharted 3 today and it’s pretty amazing so far! Don’t like how you guys are nickel and dimming us for multi-player skins though.

Got my copy of Uncharted 3 this afternoon. Haven’t played it yet, been to busy. Also got Hydrophobia Prophecy from my other account that has plus on it. I want to get Harvest Moon since everyone is saying good things about it but I never played any and I don’t wanna waste any money on something I might not like.
Also in the middle of downloading DC Universe Online (loved the beta). Would of bought it but too many good games, not enough money. But now that it’s free to play, I’m probably gonna get the Fight for the Light DLC.

Phantasy Star Portable for $15?? Hmmm…. I’ll bite. Happy memories of the Dreamcast original on a 33k modem (I lived in England back then, and Sega decided a whopping 56k modem was too much power for us Brits.)

Nice surprise update w/ the all the Crash games – couldn’t believe they were all free along with Hydrophobia Prophecy – and glad to see a demo for Dedmund’s Quest – those types of games can be so hit and miss. Sports Champions was as advertised but Move Heroes was such a let down (3 of the greatest platforming legends in gaming history and no jump button is just wrong).
1 more month until all the PS+’ers have to decide whether or not to renew so keep it coming ;-)
