Hot Chelle Rae– “Whatever
Nashville is considered one of the most significant music hubs in the world, largely concentrated into Country & Folk. However, the “Music City,” also offers other genres of music, propelled by the resources available to a place like Nashville. Hot Chelle Rae is one such case, with its members children of musicians in some of Nashville’s quintessential genres – Country and Christian, respectively. They formed a rock-based, infectious pop sound that skyrocketed them into success over the summer with the song, “Tonight, Tonight.” On their 2nd major label full-length, they are hoping to harness the success of that single and invite fans into everything they have to offer, including the 2nd single, “I Like it Like That.”

Gorillaz – “The Singles Collection
British superstar, Damon Albarn, celebrates his one true success in America with a ten year anniversary package. Gorillaz had massive U.S. hits in “Clint Eastwood” and “Feel Good Inc.”, which each anchored multi-million selling albums. The band’s latest full length, 2010’s Plastic Beach, lacked a standout single, but carried the same boundary breaking fusion of Hip-Hop, Electro and Rock that made critics drool. The Singles Collection is exactly that, a culmination of the best songs from one of the more interesting bands of the last decade.
