The Drop this week brings Dragon Age II, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Final Fantasy VI to PSN.

PlayStation 3

Just Dance 3 (PlayStation Move Support)– Just Dance 3 gives a new twist to the already spontaneous and outrageous dance game. The game kick-starts the party with over 40 tracks that span all kinds of musical genres and include popular artists like “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO, “California Gurls” by Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg, and “Forget You” by Cee Lo Green. Also included are legendary favorites like “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” by Kiss. With a variety of all-new gameplay modes, tracks that allow up to four dancers to uniquely shine, and innovative cardio training options, Just Dance 3 was made to bring the party and keep America dancing!

The Adventures of Tintin — An action-packed adventure that takes gamers on a nonstop journey through the world of Tintin; the hero and intrepid reporter from Herge’s original comic books. Players will rediscover the movie’s enchanting environs including Captain Archibald Haddock’s ship the Karaboudjan, Omar Ben Salaad’s Palace and the exotic city of Bagghar and experience many of Tintin’s exciting adventures.

Dragon Age II — Dragon Age II thrusts players into the role of Hawke, a penniless refugee who rises to power to become the single most important character in the world of Dragon Age. Known to be a survivor of the Blight and the Champion of Kirkwall, the legend around Hawke’s rise to power is shrouded in myth and rumor. Featuring an all-new story spanning 10 years, players will help tell that tale by making tough moral choices, gathering the deadliest of allies, amassing fame and fortune, and sealing their place in history. The way you play will write the story of how the world is changed forever.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit — The game features Need for Speed Autolog where players compare racing stats and automatically get personalized gameplay recommendations from their friends. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit players can also experience the thrill of the chase and the rush of the escape as they play through full careers as both a cop and a racer – solo or connected. The high speed busts and heart-stopping getaways are all connected via Need for Speed Autolog.

Wanted Corp. — Traversing dangerous terrain through four different campaigns, players wield a variety of weapons and kinetic powers – machine guns, grenades, telekinesis, protective shields and lightning – to eliminate or arrest more than 26 various kinds of enemies including fierce bosses, sentry robots and mechanical spiders. Environments also pose challenges as shooters must navigate obstacles while battling opponents in diverse settings such as hostile jungles, murky swamps and a secret, underground base.

Final Fantasy VI — Ages ago, evil beings created powerful creatures called Espers and unleashed them against each other. The resulting battles turned their world into smoldering rubble. Legend has it that the Espers destroyed themselves and most of humanity. Magic disappeared forever.

Centuries have passed, and a rational world now exists with Espers living only in myths. Suddenly, after an ancient frozen Esper is unearthed, there are reports of magic attacks on civilians. Imperial Commandos launch raids using magic-powered MagiTek weapons. Magic is obviously alive, and the world is in danger again. Who or what is behind the rediscovery and redeployment of this legendary power? What chaotic plans will wreak havoc on this orderly world?

  • MW3 all day everyday. And can you send friend request to my friend. Adidas222 He’s very lonely

  • warning consult doctor before going on blog make sure you read manual and make sure you check out our side pop up GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • Really not digging these side pop-ups.

Show some class and stop looking so needy, Sony. Ditch ’em.

  • Well………. I have never played final fantasy

  • A lot of PS3 users are frickin’ adults and we don’t need to be warned at every step of our gaming leisure time.

Option to disable, por favor. It was over the line with the PS Move warnings even if a PS Move wasn’t hooked up – I mean, I realize it was actually advertising time for you, but it was obnoxious and time consuming.

    Option to disable, to reiterate.

  • Beside a Rage demo and a really old Final Fantasy, this looks like a lame week.

  • Final Fantasy is the ONLY set of titles worth their pricing. You are a fool if you pay $10 for a Ps2 game when you were not allowed to play them on disk any longer……..puppets.

  • Sony–enuff with the side pop up about something I’m Looking At Right Now!!! Duh!!

Anyway, lame update to say the least. Why not release something awesome right now and cash in on everybody’s need to spend more than they make, myself included. ‘Tis the season.

    Finally MW3 = Money Wasted for a 3rd time

  • not 2 bad of a release, and @29 I thought mw3 was average at best. a major dissappointment in my eyes, lot of maps but nothing great. the weapons and gear was the best addition in my eyes, and some of the titles and emblems are the same from mw2.

  • ZOMG Tin Tin =0

    Hmm…Final Fantasy VI finally =)

  • Glad there’s finally a Rage demo being released.

  • cool rage demo too bad crap box 360 beat us to it:(

  • Good to hear Final Fantasy VI is coming.

What I really want is for Square-Enix to remaster:

    Final Fantasy III
    Final Fantasy V
    Final Fantasy VI

    for the PSP…

  • Sweet! Final Fantasy VI. Now I can have V through IX in my collection!

  • ya’ll complain alot. i still love my playstation

  • i bet we dont get the 12 gifts of christmas cause sony is tired of hearing everyone in americal cry and complain about every little thing like jack asses

  • Good demos!

  • @ htowndogg

lol yeah Santa told Sony we were bad this year…no freebies

Bring ps1 classic SPIDERMAN: ENTER ELECTRO to the PSN PLZZZ!!!
    Loved that game growing up

  • No longer able to copy PS1 games from PS3 to PSP with the latest PS3 4.0 firmware update. Was this done on purpose? If so, why? Now more time and bandwidth has to be wasted to download them again to the PSP. This is especially a problem when you have such low bandwidth caps from your ISP.

Also, I keep everything on my PS3, and either use it on my PS3 or copy to my PSP as needed. And is the 32 installers max true, too? That also severely limits my spending potential on the Playstation Store. As a result, you won’t be making as much money from me (and I’m sure) many other people by putting some ridiculous artificial limits.

  • FFVI! Awesome. How about Burnout Revenge next week?

  • FFVI!!!!!!!!! And this is why I love my PS3, PSP, and soon my PSVita ;-)
Thanks, guys. People may say a lot about how much better “other” consoles can be, but Sony has once again given me no regrets about sticking with their products.

  • Just Goldeneye 007: Reloaded and Rage demos for me. I hope we know what our PS+ will be soon, and I also hope we will get some sort of christmas bonus like europe gets.

  • No Ps2 classics? They need to put the Kingdom Hearts games on there already.

  • BATTLEFRONT 2 needs to be added to PS2 classics on PSN :(

  • LAME nothing fascinating this week

  • For the life of god can they remake the Dot Hack series for the PS3!!!!

  • Why is FF VI just now coming out for the NA PSN, when it’s been out since April in JP and June in EU…
It’s not like anything needed translated… They are just ripping the PS1 remake of it…

  • @37

What scenes are you talking about? I know the scene were Celes gets punched got removed in the portable version, but it’s intact in this one.

    @46

No one cares about your friend, quite frankly. And for the record, FFVI is one of the absolute best games ever made, not to mention one of the best stories ever told imho. Deal with it.

  • Nice !

  • still waiting for some GTA for the PS2 classics, come on Sony,,, I’m sure people would jump on it like fat kid on cake

  • Weak drop.

Anyway, it seems there are too many + newcomers. We’ll know about the + stuff tomorrow.

  • Crappy update this week, guys. This will be a money saver for me. I’m not buying FF VI since I still have it on disc from when it was first released on PS1.

  • @77 yea alot of people finally jumped on due to a mis print in targets sale papers that had a year sub for $14.60

  • Any idea when the Coming to Plus for December is going to show up? And any word on a similar program to the 12 deals of Christmas that EU has? Specifically the Plus portion. I missed the Plus offerings during theSummer as my PS3 was broken (and you can only access the PS3 part of the Store via the PS3). Having the opportunity to get old Plus offerings for new subs is a great idea, especially any who just signed up during the Jurassic Park promotion. While I’m at it, any word on a web interface for the PS3 portion of the PS Store? Even via an app like Media Go would be helpful. No download, just purchase would be swell.

  • Final Fantasy VI! Yesss, something to do once I finish arkham city.

  • Looking forward to FF6.

  • FFVI! Epicccc, we already have this for some time on the UK store (strange to even type this as the USA normally gets things before us). Such an awesome game, sadly still yet to finished it! Got very close to finishing it though. Will be playing this gain soon :)

  • Goldeneye 007: Reloaded + Rage demos cool:P

+ Just bring back PS2 playback to a PS3 SONY;) It looks like it will take until the year 2050 to get all PS2 games on PSN LoL

  • If you have no other way to play Final Fantasy VI, go on ahead and buy the PSone Classic. It’s fine, people exaggerate so much these days. Best game ever made in my opinion. <3 I'll buy it every time it's released until I die.

  • Will we ever get ff type-0 in the us?
I’ve been dying to play this games ever since it changed it’s name and showcased more of the game’s details.

I sure hope it makes it way to the ps vita.

I suggest that SE releases it on PSP as a download only game. it would severly reduse the risk of over-production of umds especially since they are using 2 discs.

Alot of psp rpg games are making their way to the vita.

A vita version would be better.

  • Final Fantasy VI, at last…

  • هاذا شي حلو نتمنه منكم ان تضيفو اللعتة العربية لي تكثر أرباح البلاي ستيشن وشكراً

  • 2 things I’m waiting for.

    1. Waiting for what’s new for us PS+ members for this month. Hopefully it’s awesome since my birthday is coming up.

    2. Who is going to be the new hot host of Qore?

  • @71 Yeah you’ll be loving your Vita more when you realize you can’t put your shiny new FFVI on it.

  • ZOMGOSH make these side pop ups stop popping up SO FREAKING ANNOYING!!! o_O

  • wow there really isnt anything this week. granted ff6 is coming and thats about the only good thing on this update. Again nothing for the psp.

  • @92

Yes Type-O will be released in US it was officially announced about a week ago but no news if it will be released on Vita,PSN or UMD.

  • I just want to chime in here and let everyone know that although Final Fantasy 6 is by far the best Final Fantasy ever and one of the best, if not the best, RPG ever made; this version is of course the PS1 version and alike the other PS1 Square ports (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 5) from the Super Nintendo it is not optimized well. The game is also not the best version of the game as the Gameboy Advanced version is, unless mistaken, is the best version of the game.

I will of course maybe/probably pick this game up on PSN as its my favourite game of all time but not at first – I suggest everyone YouTube a PS1 version of FF6 to see if it meets your standards of play.
