Check out the PlayStation facebook for photos! Stay tuned, we’ll be opening more Social Clubs in more cities soon. Listen to the PlayStation.Blogcast for a hint!

The Drop this week brings Dragon Age II, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Final Fantasy VI to PSN.

PlayStation 3

Just Dance 3 (PlayStation Move Support)– Just Dance 3 gives a new twist to the already spontaneous and outrageous dance game. The game kick-starts the party with over 40 tracks that span all kinds of musical genres and include popular artists like “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO, “California Gurls” by Katy Perry featuring Snoop Dogg, and “Forget You” by Cee Lo Green. Also included are legendary favorites like “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” by Kiss. With a variety of all-new gameplay modes, tracks that allow up to four dancers to uniquely shine, and innovative cardio training options, Just Dance 3 was made to bring the party and keep America dancing!

The Adventures of Tintin — An action-packed adventure that takes gamers on a nonstop journey through the world of Tintin; the hero and intrepid reporter from Herge’s original comic books. Players will rediscover the movie’s enchanting environs including Captain Archibald Haddock’s ship the Karaboudjan, Omar Ben Salaad’s Palace and the exotic city of Bagghar and experience many of Tintin’s exciting adventures.

Dragon Age II — Dragon Age II thrusts players into the role of Hawke, a penniless refugee who rises to power to become the single most important character in the world of Dragon Age. Known to be a survivor of the Blight and the Champion of Kirkwall, the legend around Hawke’s rise to power is shrouded in myth and rumor. Featuring an all-new story spanning 10 years, players will help tell that tale by making tough moral choices, gathering the deadliest of allies, amassing fame and fortune, and sealing their place in history. The way you play will write the story of how the world is changed forever.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit — The game features Need for Speed Autolog where players compare racing stats and automatically get personalized gameplay recommendations from their friends. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit players can also experience the thrill of the chase and the rush of the escape as they play through full careers as both a cop and a racer – solo or connected. The high speed busts and heart-stopping getaways are all connected via Need for Speed Autolog.

Wanted Corp. — Traversing dangerous terrain through four different campaigns, players wield a variety of weapons and kinetic powers – machine guns, grenades, telekinesis, protective shields and lightning – to eliminate or arrest more than 26 various kinds of enemies including fierce bosses, sentry robots and mechanical spiders. Environments also pose challenges as shooters must navigate obstacles while battling opponents in diverse settings such as hostile jungles, murky swamps and a secret, underground base.

Final Fantasy VI — Ages ago, evil beings created powerful creatures called Espers and unleashed them against each other. The resulting battles turned their world into smoldering rubble. Legend has it that the Espers destroyed themselves and most of humanity. Magic disappeared forever.

Centuries have passed, and a rational world now exists with Espers living only in myths. Suddenly, after an ancient frozen Esper is unearthed, there are reports of magic attacks on civilians. Imperial Commandos launch raids using magic-powered MagiTek weapons. Magic is obviously alive, and the world is in danger again. Who or what is behind the rediscovery and redeployment of this legendary power? What chaotic plans will wreak havoc on this orderly world?

  • Pop ups are annoying. Anyways, I use a MAC, which means I don’t use Media Go, so fix the PSP issues…Please. Thanks.

  • The fungus is coming!

  • Hey can someone tell me when ROCK OF AGES is coming to the PSN? Its been like two months or so since its release on the 360 and pc.

    I want this game.

    Thanks,

    Mike

  • Final Fantasy 4, when?
    Please :)
And I want a Kingdom Hearts Collection with both games ^^

  • At least we’ll get to see if this Goldeneye Reloaded handles better than that abomination they released for the Wii.

    Awful game, holy dang.

Excuse me while I cross my eyes and reload my gun. Click, auto-target, click, boom headshot.

    So stupid.

  • Thanks for droppin the Mercury Hg DLC last week, very much appreciated. : )

  • I purchased Need for Speed: The Run, but everyone tells me I should’ve gotten Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Guess I won’t have to drive to the store since now that its on PSN. Looking forward to playing another Need for Speed.

  • Wow, not one single reply from the blog staff. You guys are doing a great job!

  • Still waiting BATTELFIELD 3, CRYSIS 2 and DEAD ISLAND for the PSN Store (US).

  • looks pretty thin

  • Damn Sony, you could have at least put something about Back To Karkand up, since its coming out tommorow.

  • Due to the PSP issue the new firmware introduced, I’m not buying a single digital item from the PSN. No one at Sony seems to care as not a single comment or statement has been released to address the situation. My Vita pre order has been cancelled. And I just might skip Sony in the next system cycle until they get their act together. I’ve grown tired of features being removed with each new update.

  • Any LBP2 DLC coming out today?

  • Where’s Final Fantasy VI? Today is Dec. 6, 2011. And is not on PSN.

SONY, please with me know when Final Fantasy VI will be up.

    Thanks,

  • Yeah, I’ve been checking often today, still no sign of FFVI. I heard it was announced that it’s available… But it’s not.

  • What happened to the arkham skins? I thought they were dropping this week to.

  • Seriously PSN, where is FFVI… I’ve been waiting for it forever :(!!!

  • Still no FFVI???!!! ARGH!!!!!

  • well the 4.0 update really kicked me in the balls, along with my 14 psp games, 12 dissidia dlc packs and some other stuff saved in my ps3, way to go sony!! FFVI barely makes me happy with that kind of stuff, but since it is FFVI aka “the best rpg of all time” ill buy it anyway!!!…….. but plz dont do that again sony, plz!!!

  • Loony popups on the blog, draconian firmware downgrades attempting to force psp owners to junk their machines in favour of a new system that won’t be here for another 3 months. No real replies from SCEA other than canned responses and trolls. Poor selection of games once again. Its time this entry was rechristened as the DROOP. It’s been a horrible year for PS3 and PSP owners and so many of us are questioning whether to continue on or join those who’ve left and rightly so.

  • I bit the bullet and bought FFVI without checking, but I wonder if it has the load time issues still that were present on PSOne. When you hit Triangle to go into the menu, it’s absurd how long it would take to load. I never made it through FFVI on the PSOne for that reason alone. I played through it on SNES and GBA both, but never PSOne… Maybe this time it will work well and I’ll play it on the go on my PSP (Though I just got a 3DS and that’s been my usual carry-around fun these days.)

  • Update here from my previous comment, FFVI is exactly as it was on PSOne. Slight control lag and some slowdown in combat. It takes about 3 seconds of load time from when you hit the triangle button to when the menu screen comes up, and then another 4 seconds when you exit for the scene to load again. It also takes around 4 seconds to enter combat, and another 4 seconds to leave combat. Compared to the royal treatment this game got on GBA even, this version is shovelware. PSN/Square, you could have fixed these problems. I wish I could get a refund on digital items.

  • So TR Underground takes like 2 years to download. I mean dam…is it that good?

  • O and for you FF Fans, and I quote “[Editor’s Note: The following dates are subject to change. Game details are gathered from Press Releases from their individual publishers and/or ESRB rating descriptions.]” So calm down people…

  • Final Fantasy VI is a poor man’s Pokemon Gold Silver and Crystal.

  • Screw Final Fantasy VI

  • That game sucked. Made for people who suck at RPGs. I went back to the amazing Pokemon Gold Silver and Crystal. Game Freak is better.

Pokemon Gold Silver and Crystal > Final Fantasy VI = Game Freak FTW!
