PlayStation and Taco Bell Give You a Chance to Win PS Vita Before it’s Available in Stores

PlayStation and Taco Bell just dished out some exciting news live at CES! While the US launch of PlayStation Vita is still more than a month away, PlayStation and Taco Bell have teamed up to give you the chance to win yours before they go on sale in stores. Starting January 26th through March 11th, one winner will be selected EVERY 15 MINUTES!

The folks at Taco Bell are eager to give you three ways to win your very own PS Vita: Unlock, Battle or Boast. Here’s a quick breakdown:

UNLOCK THE BOX: Beginning January 26th, Taco Bell’s specially marked $5 Buck Box – which includes a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Crunchy Taco, Burrito Supreme and medium fountain drink – will also provide a code that can be entered online for an instant chance to “unlock” and win a PS Vita.

BATTLE: Download Taco Bell’s new mobile app to check out the exclusively designed Reality Fighters Dojo game where you can “battle” your friends to win a PS Vita.

BOAST: Taco Bell’s online contest will encourage you to submit a photo or video “boasting” about what you’re willing to do for a PS Vita. Submissions will then go into an online gallery where you and your peers can vote for the winners – it could be you!

Regardless of whether you win with an Unlock, Battle or a Boast, your prize pack will include one PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi system, one copy of the PS Vita exclusive Little Deviants, one 4GB PS Vita Memory Card and your choice of one of the following: ModNation Racers: Road Trip, MLB 12 The Show or LittleBigPlanet.

Mark your calendars for January 26th. In the meantime, start sharpening those battle and boasting skills — we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  • dang i was planning on loosing some weight before summer lol

  • Nice job

  • do us folks in Canada get to enjoy this contest as well

  • Yeah, think I’ll just stick to my pre-order. Not eating that crap for a month, only to not win!

  • At least the Uncharted + Subway promotion was quasi-healthy. Sony could be doing a bit more to encourage Americans to eat something that isn’t going to increase the national obesity rate. The US already spends more on health care than any country in the world, because of crap like Taco Bell.

  • Well looks like I’ll be getting a couple of the $5 boxes on February 3rd.

To those complaining about the “unhealthy” factor of Taco Bell, it can be healthy if you use moderation.

  • I’m supposing this is USA only. GOD I HATE EUROPE!

  • Cool, but wasn’t there a more healthy alternative?

  • Damn i wish i woulda known this i saved up my money for this thing and pre-ordered it. well i think ill value it alot more since i earned it

  • I can probably assume this promotion is US only and not available in Canada. McDonalds Monopoly Contest is open to both US and Canadian residents, Tim Hortons Roll Up The Rim contest is open to both US and Canadian residents. It’s not impossible to include Canada, yet that’s what always happens.

Quit making excuses and start including Canada in your promotions Sony.

  • Yeah, this is cool and all, but I’m trying to lower my cholesterol, not raise it to infinite proportions.

I guess I’ll have to buy a Vita instead of risking a heart attack. :p

  • @Hooligantuan That was probably the funniest thing i have ever read..i applaud your humor sir

  • looks like I will be spending a lot of time at Taco Bell good thing there is one just 2 blocks from my house :P

  • Is this available to Canadians too or is the contest U.S. only?

  • Thanks for info jill

  • Thanks for the info Jill ;-)

  • ill be trying Both Of them & also BOAST,
But i don’t understand it like what do we have to be doing in the Picture/Video.
it say what are you willing to do ?

  • @12 that is nothing but BS. a beef tube? really?? the meat at taco bell is in a bag and it gets boiled. then it gets rationed out with a scoop.

  • 20 bucks saved up.. Taco Bell for five days straight? Sounds good to me :D

  • I hope the Taco Bell’s in my area actually have all of the promotional materials. During the UC3 promotions at Subway none of the restaurants in my area had them until a week after the promotion started. I hope Sony will demand that every Taco Bell has the materials before the 26th.

  • as always PR left behind…. i wish PSblog/Sony cared for us a bit for once…

thanks for the answer anyways…… :(

  • Wait a minute… LittleBigPlanet? You guys don’t have this down as even a launch window title… Anything you’d like to announce? ;)

  • This is pretty nice but can you guys please tell us when little big planet will launch in the U.S?

  • @67

Yeah, boiled beef bag sounds a lot better.

Get it with some of those Rocky Mountain oysters.

“Wait, where do they get oysters in the mountains?”

  • i love taco bell, good reason to start going more often since they add one more game then i would get with my first edition bundle, does it ship the day you win or do you have to wait until the 15th? if i have to wait i will still try but not as hard

  • Is this contest available in Canada too?

  • I hope I win so I can save more money to by more games

  • Hi Jill, sounds like a great contest but im wondering a couple things; first is it available in Canada, the contest? Second, why cant you put the android app out for blackberry playbook because im going to have to download the apk android file then convert it t a playbook bar and then try to get it all to work. Please help me and others out here.

Really y’all should give me one for free considering i been battling anonymous for the last 9 months. keeping them in line to not attack sony again. ( i know their real names and home addresses and threatened them to reveal if they didnt back of, which they have.)

so in sumary, Contest for Canadians? App for playbok?
    Thanks in advance.

yes we have taco bell North of the border…. and where im from its all borders…

  • @78

Wouldn’t it be a little wiser to not say anything like that about Anonymous on these public forums?

  • Why isn’t this promotion in Puerto Rico?

  • What would I do for a Vita?……… Eat Taco Bell

  • As much as I hate doing it, I am going to be cancelling my Vita First Edition pre-order soon. I have had an unexpected expense come along (a new vehicle) which stacked on top of my mortgage, utilities, paying my way through college, gas to and from work and school, groceries, etc., has caused my budget for video games and new systems to plummet to essentially $0 for at leat 6 years, since I am now living paycheck to paycheck. I will try this contest to win a Vita, otherwise I think the day of me actually holding my very own one will be far, far away in the future. That is unless Sony wants to throw me a bone, because I would shed blood, sweat, and tears for a Vita, seeing as how I no longer have the money to shed for in its place.

  • I’m crossing my fingers! I hope it turns out the same way it did when i put $5 in the slots! CHACHING! I’m in the money, na da da na na, loo di do dee do dee do li da di da di HA! :D

  • @phaetill i guess your epic weight gain and chronic diarrhea should cancel each other out. win win

  • This sounds like a good promotion for the Vita.

  • is the ps vita 3g or Wi-Fi

  • psyched! i love taco bell & PS vita. Win/Win for me. i just wished they had Uncharted:Golden Abyss as a choice

  • I would jump at the opportunity to win a Playstation Vita, but I have to ask, is this open to Canadians as well?

  • I would love to win.

  • *sigh* I really wish that the Taco Bell in our town hadn’t closed down. I would be able to participate in this promotion THAT MUCH easier. But alas, that’s not the way it is anymore. Oh well. I’ll just have to save up for one instead.

  • So I hit the jack pot and won a Vita… but now what? I submitted my info and all that but the rules don’t indicate when I will receive a letter in the mail.

Anybody have any ideas on this? BTW, i won it on the second try, HUSSAH!

  • So i won on monday Jan. 30…..i think its time to give them a call right?

  • so i won and its been a week now haunt heard anything from them I’ve called left messeges and i get no reply i don’t no what the deal am i the only one

  • I have been waiting since the 30th only answer I got was an extra 2-3 business days. Its been 1 week and 4 days and nothing it seems there are MANY people who have not receive either email or letter. People have been complaining all week on the Taco Bell Facebook and still no answers. I am getting piss and annoyed at the lack of response.

  • I won one on Jan. 30 as well and I’ve still not been contacted. I left a message and emailed them and eventually got an email back that basically just said to keep waiting and they had no clue when I would be contacted. This is really starting to worry me, especially since I’ve heard that other winners aren’t having these issues. SONY, TACO BELL WHY ARE WE (winners on 1/30 and 1/31 specifically) GETTING IGNORED AND NOT GETTING CONFIRMATION EMAILS?
