  • This continues to be an awesome January! Picked up NBA Jam and Crysis last week. Looking at Dungeon Defenders, Rochard and Sidescroller this week!

    Morgan, if you are able to pass on community desires, I want to voice my request for a way to browse and buy away from my PS3. It would be awesome if I could check out the sales and purchase from a web site. It would be even more awesome if my PS3 could download the new content while I’m away, just like it syncs trophies and downloads updates for PS+ members.

  • @96 Dungeon Defenders: Quest for the Lost Enternia Shards is still listed at 1.00 for PS + users on the store

  • Thanks PSN team! Looks like I’ll be ‘Street Fighting’, and ‘Side Scrolling’ tonight!

    QUESTIONS:

    1. Any word on MGS HD Collection being broken up and going digital?

    2. SNK minis; description says 2player gameplay/ Ad-Hoc not available. Is that when played on PSP only, or on PS3 too? I’d like to play 2player P.O.W. on my PS3.

    Anyway, thanks for the info, and thanks for the sale!

  • Whats with the hatred for Megamixer? All i see him doing in these blog post is posting his opinion which he has every right to. I dont understand why its bad for him to complain, but perfectly fine for everyone to complain about him. Plus if people actually see his post they would know he doesnt complain in every single one. there have been times when he stated an update was good. People only see the bad things he post and thats pretty sad.

    All in all people need to realize all he is doing is expressing his opinion. He doesnt praise every update like almost everyone in here. He doesnt like an update he has every right to state why. i personally find most of these update bad because we are barely getting any support for the psp. which at least according to Sony they are still support, but these updates state otherwise.

  • @iTofuMan

    the psp is 7 years old. it’s also a failure. No news here. Move on.

  • @101 my problem with him is he never likes any update ever and complains about everything I can’t remember him liking any update or actually being positive

  • Any word on DCUO getting the respec tokens?

  • Seriously?? This update kinda sucks

  • @101 I rarely ever complain on the update blog myself and if I have something to complain about sometimes I will just message playstation directly

  • In my eyes it wasnt. and i can bet other people believe that as well. I could list numerous great games on the Psp. Sadly most of those said games arent on the Psn, which is my biggest complaint. especially since the vita is drawing near one would assume sony would be putting up a ton of content just for people who may have missed out on the psp.

    Also by your logic we shouldnt be getting ps1/ps2 games on the psn because those are old.

  • Excellent update, very excited to see Warhawk in Space. You guys are A-OK, Playstation.

  • @ Gearhead. i remember either last year or the year before when there was a bunch of psp games on sale (i believe monster hunter was one of them) i could have sworn mega did his typically list that he use to do and stated that the sale for various psp games was done nicely.

    If anything people should see him mainly as a psp user (unless anyone has proof he owns/use a ps3) That too people dont seem to realize these updates arent only for ps3, its for ps3/psp and soon to be Vita.

  • @109 I don’t own a psp but, I am strongly considering getting the Vita from what I have looked at online it’s looking great and it will have some strong launch titles

  • can u make a deal for split second?

  • @Cyb3rfr34k-iso
    Cars 2 came out a month after MS: Apocalypse. Be thankful it isn’t $60 with content removed from it.

    @TomHoang
    8 games actually. #9 coming soon-ish. I only synch after I platinum. ;)
    (Anyone that has “You Don’t Know Jack” want to help me get the play a 4-player game online trophy?)

    @PrimeroIncognito
    Do you complain when someone calls an update you think sucks an awesome one? If you’d like another “back and forth” with me, head over to the official PS forums. Maybe make a thread in the Playstation Lounge and I’ll be happy to address any misgivings and misinformation.

    @DarkSeraphim666
    Beening wondering about that Worms 2 DLC myself, along with the final single-player MS:A DLC. Both are missing in action. :(

    @Pariah_Dark
    I’m so sorry! I simply can’t afford that PS+ (positive) App which automatically regurgitates nothing but glowing reviews for all things Playstation. Maybe if they put it on sale…

    @WilburMonkey
    Seconding the request for a PC PS3 store.

    @MarinoBrea
    If 70 million sold with hundreds of great games available is a failure, what does that make the PS3?…

  • Oh of course. i already paid off my First Edition bundle for the Vita. I cannot wait for the Vita, but it would be nice for people who never owned a psp who may get a Vita to be able to play some classic games. Sadly since we barely see any psp update we cant play some the classic psp games like Crisis Core, or Kingdom Hearts BBS. Granted there are some great psp games on the Psn like Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy 4 complete. its just i believe it should be having a lot more titles available.

  • @itufuman.. Psn has the largest libray of psn games on the planet. ALot of legioniarees here dis agree with mega mixer saying they’re are no psp games to play the Psn store has 150-200 of them to buy.

    Also mini can be played on psp they are like 1- 3 $ the most some might be 5$ . It still a great deal ANd if you synce the psp to the ps3 u can play these same exact mini’s or psn psp games right on your ps3 system. So i think mega mixer complaining on every update of that psp support is not there is kinda far fectched.

    But agn he is entitled to think that becuase he is own man.If wasnt for a few here onthe blog and playstaion main forums there would be no sales for anything. what you see today is the hard work of everyone that comes here. I truly beilieve sony psn staff back the poor gamer or on a budget gamer100%. as well as those who have the money which is how gaming should be. But hing could be better and they will get better, because this what the psn legioniarre gorup is about supporting sony to do better inthe effort of the gamer.

  • After reading Morgan’s reply to #55, I just found an ICO/SotC Hd Collection on disc (mint) for $18 on craigslist.
    If Sony would have offered the bundle (the way it was released) for even $30 I would have happily spent the money as soon as the Store updated. As it stands, I get it cheaper than buying only one of them thru PSN, and save 8GB on my HDD to boot.

    Sony, I want to give you money, but you gotta play ball…

  • @113 I have a feeling it will change with the Vita Sony seems a lot more excited about it then psp and they have said something about being able to download digital versions of psp games.The new games for vita like the uncharted game are looking great and I like the idea of a choice between touch screen and dual stick

  • @megamixer

    Dude, please, what you can/ can’t afford is none of my business and I could care less about it. It doesn’t make you any less of a CONSTANT whiner. If you can’t afford Plus, nobody is faulting you for that. But don’t moan and whine because people that have plus get certain rewards that they people that don’t aren’t accessible to.

    After all, that was what actually buying into plus was about in the first place. Either suck it up or get yourself a job bro.

  • Average update. the only good thing for me is Shadow of the Colossus since I wasn’t really feeling Ico (deflecting bullets)
    @ megamixer
    I agree with you that the Psp isn’t being supported enough. If they put more UMD games on the store like Lumines 1&2 for example they would do well. and you have a right to state your opinion and it’;s not fair for anyone to bash just because the first words out of your mouth aren’t “Yay Sony !!!!”

  • Maybe the games he wants arent on the Psn? Again its all about his opinion. I could list a ton of games i would love to play on my psp/vita that i cant play because it isnt on the Psn. But like i said i know there are a ton of great psp games on the psn, but is it wrong to say it couldnt be better?

    About Mini’s i dont know im really bias towards it. i could probably only list less than a handful i would consider owning/worth playing, and in all honestly i dont consider them psp content since you can play them on the ps3 as well. granted though thats just me.

  • i cant figure out how to playon the UC3 dlc maps because on uncharted 2 there was a switch to change inbetween them but i cant find it

  • I’m thinking of getting the year psn plus BUT it seems as the only useful things are once a month. I’m looking for more dynamic themes. Well design avatars. For my games: I want some Fallout new vegas dlc hence there was no game of the year edition like Fallout 3. An option that will enable to transfer from Marvel vs capcom 3 onto the ultimate version. Maybe and option where psn plus users decide what they are looking for or target the more popular games. Thank you if you took the time to read this.

  • @trufu man ps vita will be able to disc legacy games. Are they going to be in the psn store.? :) why wouldnt they be :).

    I think everyone is like over re acting to the fact alot games are not digital . most of those games cant be done over night and some come from over seas or company are not afloat any more or they’re merged with someone else. So it alot of issues beside the normal ones.

    @mega mixer.. i feel if going to ditch complaints then your going to have take a few in as well towards you from others. Every week you complain or show displeasure with psn or psp. Your entitled to do that ok, but when you lash at others be ready to get lashed back at. Becuase alot of folks have grown tired of it, alot psn legionairres here have grown real tired of it, when its very far fetched from the truth of the success the ps has made or had. . the psp is the leading rpg maker console or held held on the market of any console including the ps3.. sayingtheyre is no support is highly false.. look back at last month alone when 25 new fresh ip psp title dropped.9-10 being rpg

  • @gearhead32
    When the Vitas inevitable post-launch drought hits, do look into the PSP game archive on PSN! There’s a lot of gems in there. Not as many as there could or should be… but I’ve got nearly 30 from there. Should be a few PSP classics up your alley!

    @iTofuMan
    I definitely own a PS3. I’m on my 5th one and have shelled out a total of $750 for the original and subsequent refurbs. At the current going price I guess you could say I’ve bought 3 PS3’s! Praying this one lasts through the generation (or dies within warranty again lol).

    @mcbuttz78
    I don’t say there are no games available. I say they aren’t released frequently enough. Its now been a month since a PSP game has been added and that isn’t even the longest period of time between releases!

    @Pariah_Dark
    Looks like my post went over your head. :(

    @Venom1976
    I don’t mind the bashing. After being called out by David Jaffe any other bashing is minute in comparison lol. What I don’t like is all of the off-topic posting happening because of me. Which is why I suggest people “take me on” over at the PS forums.

  • Yes DW7 & DW7XL DLC!!!! I don’t care what people say I still looove DW!!!! :D

  • 1- Love Megamixer. Been reading and looking forward to his comments for a year now. Keep it up. Freedom of speech.

    2- We need more then 150 MB, really… for the past 3 months, every other day i have to delete stuff from the cloud… getting annoying… already comprimised to settle with 1 save per game… and still not enough room.. LBP 1 and 2 deleted all my levels on my moon, just for room… Deleted all my Dead spacce MB, and Skyrim, I buy alot of games, with more to come…. please update the cloud storage.

    3- Bloodrayne is epic, but hard. Megamixers type of game. get it if u didn’t.

    4- You can’t get Ico/ SoTC at a bargin price.. been waiting and searching… best sale yet was Kmart 1 day sale.. 19.99 and i missed it. I check everyday… One day I will get lucky, was hoping PS+ had a deal, woulda bought it.

    5- Get more cloud space plz….

    Actually, it didn’t I just wanted to answer it what seemed to be a civilized manner without getting snarky

  • Oh man… so many things to purchase.

    I was hoping to get SoTC, but, the price is kinda high. Guess I’ll wait.

  • 1 more thing…

    Someone plz sort capcom out and sell the SuperSF DLC seperately next time they go on sale.. the bundle glitch is killing me..

    1 more.. XD

    more then 150 MB.

  • Morgan Haro, I hope you guys put the Jak HD games on PSN and as individual titles, I just want Jak 2 so I won’t be buying all 3 on the retail disc.

  • i also !00% disagree you cannt afford psn plus. I find that highly unlikley. It only 1718$ usd( in some states 16$).. I dont if you can afford 18$ usd.But its worth more than 3 psn cards in games and content you can get. 3 mnth opf psn plus is about $30-50 in games or more, 50-100$ in saving on dlc (if not free) and games, exclusive content that mostly free.

    I really find the hard to phathom you cannt afford 3 mths of psn plus at 18$.. highly unlikely. My nephew has a psp and he has over 25 games becuase of psn plus and he didnt pay a dime for them. Btw the way is is 9yrs old. but i dont know your finicail situation , but i do beg to differ with you cannt afford it, becuase my nephew dont have a job and he saved up allowence and bought it..

    i understand it takes time for games to be in digital format, but when you look at it the psp has been out for 7 years. i think thats more than enough time to at least get a majority of your games on the Psn. granted i know some publishers may be hesitant on putting games on the Psn. the thing is though is that there are companies that have put a ton of games on the psn, but for some reason refuses to put some.

    take Square Enix for example. they have not only most of their psp games on psn, but their ps1 games as well. But for some reason refuses to put up Final Fantasy 1+2, Crisis Core, and Kingdom Hearts. I have personally emailed both Square and Sony and all i basically got Sony stating “Square hasnt said anything about releasing it”, and Square saying the same thing except blaming Sony. it got me nowhere.

  • @mcbuttz78
    I can easily afford PS+. I choose not to buy it because if offers nothing of value to me. The “free” games are always ones I already own or did not want in the first place. Everything else is fluff save for the “cloud storage”. That would actually be useful considering how often my system dies. You have no idea how many copy prohibited game saves I’ve lost over the years. :( Sadly even that isn’t worth it because afaik you can only upload PS3 game saves. So while those would be spared, my PS1/PS2/PSP saves would still bite the dust. :(

    @iTofuMan
    What I wouldn’t do to have Crisis Core on my PSP Go… Oh wait a minute. I do have it on there! (my old save file that is!) >_>

  • IS THERE AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY GT5 XL EDITION DID NOT MAKE IT TO STORES TODAY???

    I checked 4 stores today and they knew very little about it. 2 of the stores didn’t even have it in their system.
    The stores aren’t even expecting it at all!
    What happened?

  • @mega mixer.. ALot are tired of your attitude of complaints and the way you present them. It has nothing to do with you personally( i dont think.).. ALot of legioniarees here are trying to do something big for our selves(sony brand /psn brand). Money is hard to come by in these times, this is why alot begged for some type of sales here. Alot of legioniarees dispise gamestop with a passion this why we want games here digitally with our own type of deals..I know alot of psn /ps3 games dont come here but it wont happen over night .. but alot of do want them to come if personally wished for it or not… Becuase at one point psn wasn’t even getting 2 games a month here.

    No one hate you persoanlly or privatly ,.but you need to re- address on how you present your statements, becuase you made yourself public enemy #1. Once you get that target on your back. Its hard to wash it off on this side of the gaming world(sony/ps3/psn). They will eat me alive too if I blasphemied the psn brand..

    • Although megamixer’s comments are frequently critical, they’re usually fair. If anything it shows he/she super cares about what comes on PSN, and as along as the comments are stated respectfully (open to everyone, don’t be a jerk) then we have to respect his stance. The big picture is we’re all hard at work to get great content in the Store to turn those critical opinions around, but if anything, folks like mega and tofuman keep us honest and striving.

  • @ tufu man final fantasy 1 and 2 are coming before march ( the rumor i heard any way). Also psn has only been around 3-4yrs( might be very close to 4-5 yrs)and this program of digital remaster of games has not been around more than 2-3 yrs if that.. here on psn/ps3 . Its not up sony/psn to remaster the games its up the dev of those games. I agre more psp games should be there but it alot other stuff to respect before it happens

    As sad as it sound it not like the 1980’s where evry one was just enjoying the games and gaming was pure for the fans/gamers.. Its more about financial sense and some games cost more than they were made the 1st time to remake & etc. “If It dont make dollars it dont make sense so to speak”, but the forums are here and if enough ask or beg for it ” like ico remaster and gow remaster” it can happen, which open the door for alot things for everyone.

    Im personally looking for a kya-dark linage game(ps2) remake or remaster to ps3. But i doubt it will happen, becuase that dev team is not around any more.

  • Saints Row DLC FTW!

  • @Delta-64-
    maybe they re-planning and finally add pack 3 of DLC on XL edition i really wish…

  • @Megamixer…Ok well you may not like the update and maybe we don’t like your lame @$$ complaining. Grow up already I mean Sony doesn’t exist to soley please you. Just in case you missed the demo.

    @New_Day_Mark…You have a PS3 and no HDTV? That doesn’t even make sense I mean damn dude you can buy an HDTV for the same amount you can buy a PS3! Get your priorities str8 and stop demanding. Do you really think a company that makes a 1080p console care about your 15 year old SD television! LMFAO!

    I just had too…sorry.

  • @Cyb3rfr34k-iso
    That seems unlikely. I’ll just wait for the Ultimate GT5: XL: Hyper Turbo: 3D Edition: HD Remix release.

  • @OlympusMons666
    Sony does care about SD owners. Hence why the PS Stores are formatted in such a way that space is wasted when viewed in HD. Also on the video store they’re doing weekly $5 movie deals… for SD content only. The HD versions don’t even get a slight discount. And lastly proving that Sony likes SD are Sony’s own Vita games, launching at sub-Vita resolution… LMFAO!

  • @megamixer
    i bought GT5 19.99$ at boxing week to play on Playstation 3D display, its not like i care for 6 “new” cars when there is 1000+ already on the game…

  • Hey can I get some help, I bought Uncharted 3 back in november and got the Starhawk beta code but now that I’m trying to redeem it the thinbg says it’s either typed wrong or expired. WTH man!

  • HOLY cow, Oddworld Strangers Wrath is on sale with Plus! You hit my biting point :)

  • @ZombieMan4270 The starhawk beta will be reedeem in Jan 31st

  • I’m glad that Plus members are getting a discount on Stranger’s Wrath. And I’ve been wanting to checkout Sideway New York… and now seems like the perfect time to grab it.

  • I’m quite pleased with the update, although I’m still unsure about getting two of the 12 for 12 games I was planning on buying when I first saw the games listed.

  • @142. it might be case sensitiveif not you need to call them or sony customer care, let them know what up.. You also email them and let them know..
