It Begins: 3 Ways to Win a PS Vita Early Only From Taco Bell

PS Vita: Taco Bell $5 Buck BoxPS Vita: Taco Bell $5 Buck Box

A few weeks back I shared the big news that you would soon have the chance to win your PlayStation Vita only at Taco Bell before it hits retail this February 22nd. Well, it’s official! Starting now through March 11th, PlayStation and Taco Bell are giving you three ways to win your PS Vita: Unlock the Box, Battle, and Boast. On average, one winner will be selected every 15 minutes through March, so there are a lot of chances to win! Here’s how:

Unlock the Box: Head to your local Taco Bell today to pick up a specially marked $5 Big Box – which includes a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Crunchy Taco, Burrito Supreme and medium fountain drink. You’ll see a code printed on the top of the box; enter that code at unlock.tacobell.com for a chance to win your PS Vita!

PS Vita and Taco Bell: Reality Fighters Dojo

Battle: We worked with Taco Bell to develop an exclusive Augmented Reality game based on the upcoming PS Vita game Reality Fighters. You can play Reality Fighters Dojo by downloading Taco Bell’s new mobile app for your Android or iOS device. Then pick up your specially marked Taco Bell $5 Buck Box, start Reality Fighters Dojo, point your device’s camera at the top of the box and get ready to battle. Here’s a quick look at what you can expect as you battle for a chance to win a PS Vita:

PS Vita and Taco Bell: Reality Fighters DojoPS Vita and Taco Bell: Reality Fighters Dojo

Boast: This one’s easy! Create a photo or video boasting about what you’d do to nab a PS Vita and submit it here. Submissions are already pouring in, so head to unlock.tacobell.com and click on “Boast” for more details on what you need to do to participate and how to vote for your favorite boast.

Prize Packs will include one PS Vita 3G/Wi-Fi system, one copy of the PS Vita-exclusive Little Deviants, one 4GB PS Vita Memory Card and your choice of one of the following: ModNation Racers: Road Trip, MLB 12 The Show or LittleBigPlanet. PS Vita winners will begin receiving their devices after February 8th and your selected game choice will be shipped on its respective launch date.

For additional details, information, and rules head to unlock.tacobell.com.

Good luck! If you won a PS Vita before it hit stores, what game would you most want to play? Let us know in the comments!

I can’t make up my mind 3ds or PS Vita. But I’m gonna get both one way or another!

I have a perfect plan for avoiding the stomach churning that Taco Bell gives me. Buy a ton of these boxes, copy down the codes, then give the food to homeless people. Clear conscience and new Vita!

@jill My friend and I have both had have this occurred in separate stores me in Miami and my friend in New York have had the code are already used and what we figured out is it’s the people that are working at the Taco Bell are redeeming the code it should’ve been a peel off

This is bull. After 2 days hackers have already found a way to ruin this contest. Now I need to pray that my code hasn’t already been typed in.

Woot Woot, Just went to Taco Bell today for lunch and entered my code online and it said I won. I cannot wait to receive my new PS Vita. :D

Xoonaka said:

January 30th, 4:10 pm

Alright, so I won… but it said I need to be “verified”. I input my e-mail address, my mailing address, etc… should I have gotten any kind of confirmation e-mail??

Please let me know. I just don’t want to lose out, especially after being lucky enough to win!!

foxyroxie69 said:

January 30th, 4:15 pm

So the same thing happened to me and I submitted my information at 12:00 PM and did not receive a confirmation email yet (it’s now 4:13pm). I was reading the official rules carefully and it says “Notification letter will be sent via First Class Mail to the potential prize winners.” If this is true then we should be receiving a letter within a couple of days.

orthopetra said:

January 30th, 4:30 pm

I was literally the 3rd winner (or at least by my best guess judging from the time from as well as the win counter), at any rate I didnt actually receive an email until around 5pm today. Im not sure what the whole letter is going to be about, because in the email you have to reply back with your choice of game etc. So dont worry, and just be patient. Apparently it takes like 4.5 days to get back around to contact you.

Xoonaka said:

January 30th, 4:38 pm

@foxyroxie69

Yeah, I saw that too, it just seemed weird to me it wouldn’t confirm with me at all.

@orthopetra

Awesome news! Thanks for the reply. I’ll keep the faith.

Good luck to everyone else!!!

orthopetra said:

@Xoonaka

No problem, I know how stressful it was waiting around, not hearing back from them. Also just a heads up, the email will actually be from Ventura Associates LLC, not Taco Bell. Just something to be looking for!

Lohdown said:

This is great, but it has one major flaw. You gotta eat at Taco Bell. It must be the future.

Sly: “I like mexican food but, come on.”
Bullock: “Your tone is quasi-facetious, but you do not realize that Taco Bell was the only restaurant to survive the franchise wars”.
Sly,: “So?”
Bulock: “So. Now all restaurants are Taco Bell.”
Sly: “No way.”

And yeah, I threw in a gratuitous Demolition Man reference for absolutely no other reason than Taco Bell is disgusting.

I have to say that I never win anything from any contest I ever enter (except one Bingo game when I was 10). I just got the Taco Bell box today and won the Vita. Thankyou Sony, as I have always been a PS Plus member and have spent hundreds on Sony products. Ty Sony, Karma does work.

@megafire555

From what I have read here and other locations they will mail you a letter to confirm you are who you are. I had the same experience. It said I won but there was no real confirmation yet, or at least nothing other than the screen that asks for your email, name etc. Someone else said it takes about 4-5 days for him to get the confirmation email. The email is just to pick the game you wanted and that was it. I am still waiting for my letter and email and I just won yesterday.

So today my mom and I both ordered the 5 buck box but neither of us actually got a box so neither of us got a code to use. What can I do to enter now? I never win anything anyways but hey, you never know.. Plus my brother stepped on and broke my psp and sold my ps2 and ps3 for gas money so winning a vita would be really cool…

We used to have a Taco Bell in this small town I live in, but it’s no longer here. The closest one is about 15 minutes away. I don’t even know if it’s worth it to drive all the way there and back just to have a CHANCE to win. I guess if it ever comes across my path during the promotion, I’ll go buy a Box. For now, I’ll just save up money and wait a few months until there’s a price cut, which seems to be inevitable when it comes to new systems.

Rock4Stones said:

Went to our local Taco Bell tonight, all of the contest information is on the menu; guess what are not, the codes. I looked at the contest info on the wall, says the contest started yesterday. The employees say “no we don’t have the codes”, just these boxes without any codes, “we sorry”. I have a lot of observations about the location Taco Bell; the customer service line did not or could not help. For us the whole thing is a hoax. Corporate either does not care or has hired employees that don’t care or both.

jakub12 said:

Bought a box today, and like many others, I got “This code was used before”. Called the number provided, got the email. Confirmed the email several times with the person on the phone and sent my email. Two minutes later, I got a email back stating that my email could not be delivered. Awesome promotion.

I won Monday the 30th and still have not received an email. I did contact Taco bell and Ventura and was told to give it another 2 to 3 business days. I shall wait and if nothing I will contact them again.

Ooze33 said:

February 5th, 12:50 pm

This sucks. I’ve bought 2 boxes and played the Reality Fighters Dojo thing everyday and haven’t won ever. WHY MUST I HAVE TERRIBLE LUCK?

Ooze33 said:

February 5th, 12:54 pm

Speaking of which, as anyone here won through the mobile game?

Luvz2spamU said:

February 5th, 5:54 pm

@Lara-Croft

I won on the 31st and I have yet to receive an email from them as well. I emailed them about it and what they told me is that “they were looking into it and get back to me as soon as possible” but I still haven’t gotten a response. How did you win? I won by sending in a text message and was wondering if it takes longer for them to contact you if you do it this way.

@VivaLaFred88

Was your email in your spam folder? I have been checking everyday since I won(including my spam folder) and have still yet to receive the email.

@petethepanda

Who was the email from so I may know what to look for. Did you win by texting in the code or by entering it in on the website?

bilesmaiden said:

February 5th, 5:54 pm

I actually won on 01/27/2012 using the mobile entry. I have not received any emails about recieving my vitsa. Whats up with that tacobell? this is messed up! I won and yet I still get nothing? You guys really screwed everyone on this. First with the bad codes and now this?

VivaLaFred88 said:

Luvz2spamU said:

@ VivaLaFred88

I use Gmail, thanks for the heads up. I sadly still have yet to receive anything and Ventura has not replied back to any of my emails since the original one I sent in.

Lara-Croft said:

February 7th, 4:35 pm

@ Luvz2spamU

I won by going on the computer and putting my code in, I still have the box with the code that I won with. I will wait till Thursday. Ventura did say their system was on overload but it still not a good excuse. The thing that also gets me the bundle they are giving away if the one that is release a week early and I wonder if we will receive it as all next week. :-/

Xoonaka said:

February 7th, 5:29 pm

Yeah, I STILL haven’t received any e-mails. How are you guys getting in touch with Ventura? I tried an e-mail I found on the internet… “sweepspros” or something like that. They didn’t even reply to that e-mail.

Ugh. I guess the next thing I can do is try that phone number they’re spamming in these comments. Unless there’s a more official way to get in touch…? I’m not impatient, really… I just want confirmation and a time table.

VivaLaFred88 said:

February 7th, 7:42 pm

@ Luvz2spamU

Your welcome. Keep checking and hope they send u something.

To the people who sent in their information to Tacobell recently. Did you receive any confirmation email or any email back ever since ? After the 8th we should be hearing about something….Hopefully! They supposedly will be shipping .

Has anybody else noticed that your selected game choice will be shipped on its respective launch date? So for example, LBP doesn’t even have a stable release date. I wonder what will happen if the launch date is not on the March 31st ? Unless they give us special/early copies.

Luvz2spamU said:

February 8th, 2:12 am

@Xoonaka

You can email them at tb@sweepspros.com but I doubt you will get a reply back from them. I have been waiting one week since they told me they were looking into it. Now they are just ignoring my emails.

@VivaLaFred88

Thank you but at this point I don’t think I will even get a psvita from them even though I won. Especially with the way they are ignoring my emails.
