The most talked about demo on PSN finally arrives in its full glory and with exclusive access to Mount Fuji, when SSX returns and performs a “front-side switch ollie” onto your PS3.

The unique multiplayer experience of Killzone 3, sheds the single-player campaign and arrives solo onto the PlayStation StorePS Vita demos come in fours this week, with Touch My Katamari and Reality Fighters leading the pack. And PlayStation 2 classics brings Primal to PSN.

Enjoy this week’s The Drop.

PlayStation 3

SSX — Redefining the franchise, SSX pits riders against both mountain and man. Players explore the story of a team who seek to be the first to descend the faces of the most treacherous mountain ranges on the planet. The team travels the world to face the worst that Mother Nature can throw at them. From the peaks of the Himalayas, where the air is so thin that riders have to descend through the death zone at breakneck speeds to keep from blacking out, to the solid ice ranges of Antarctica, where a sunlit line is the only survival option when temperatures drop 50 degrees centigrade in the shade. And the mountain isn’t the only danger players will face. In SSX the first goal is to survive. The second, in true SSX fashion, is to look good doing it.

Binary Domain — Binary Domain puts players in the middle of a fast paced and intense battle for humanity in a robot-invaded 2080 Tokyo. Fighting through the derelict lower levels of the city, players control an international peace-keeping squad that soon starts to question their surroundings and the choices they make. Are the robots becoming more human, or are humans becoming more like machines?

Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-II — Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 is a sequel to Hyperdimension Neptunia and contains brand new main characters, as well as returning characters, and the gameplay has been updated so as to remove the random encounter feature. New maps and a brand new world feature as well, and the cut scenes have been upgraded to 3D from the old 2D visual novel style cut scenes.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition — After centuries of Mortal Kombat, Emperor Shao Kahn has finally defeated Raiden and his allies. Faced with extinction, Raiden has one last chance to save Earthrealm. To undo the Emperor’s victory, he must strike Shao Kahn where he is vulnerable…the Past. The pumped-up Komplete Edition of this blockbuster fighter includes a variety of add-on packs, including four additional characters and 15 bonus character skins.

PlayStation Network

Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest (Full PS3 Digital / PS Move Support) — From the same team that brought you Sports Champions, one of the best selling Move titles, Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest is a fantasy, action adventure game that is played with PlayStation Move that uses a unique set of motion control functionality, allowing players to seamlessly transition between throwing projectiles, sword fighting and archery for an intuitive and immersive gameplay experience.

Killzone 3: Multiplayer — In the wake of Visari’s death, Helghan has devolved into a world of political scheming, rapid infighting, and murder. Now, the two most powerful men on Helghan are fighting for complete and utter dominance while Visari’s vision of Helghan is in jeopardy. With limited supplies and no re-enforcements, the ISA must now fight not to win a war, but to survive a lost one.

StormThis is a puzzle game in which players grow seeds into trees by guiding them through nature-themed levels. Players can use wind, lightning, and rain to transport seeds past obstacles while reaching various checkpoints.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Full PS3 Digital) — To save his life, the fundamental choice of whether or not to become augmented with cybernetics has been removed from Adam Jensen’s life. Driven by the conviction of never having a choice taken from him again and using his newfound power, his need for answers will unravel the truth behind a conspiracy rooted in the foundation of the world around him as it incites a new revolution.

PlayStation 2 Classics

Primal — Primal lies in a dark, fantastical realm between the mortal world and the afterlife, where an eternal struggle between order and chaos rages. Abaddon (Chaos) has tired of his personal conflict with Arella (Order) and is breaking the rules. It’s up to you, as half-demon Jennifer Tate, to team up with Scree the Living Gargoyle to bring Abaddon down and set things right again. Boasting state-of-the-art motion captured animation, advanced AI routines, and integrated cutscenes, Primal offers players four diverse realms and four unique demon forms to toy with. The ability to switch between Screen and Jen on the fly should prove invaluable for solving puzzles and the dynamic loading technology keeps disc access to a minimum.

how good is primal? i remember years ago, my older brother playing it, it looked interesting, i bet it will be $10 like the other PS2 Classics, again, how good is it? I think that I will consider this my first PS2 Classic.

One more thing, Euro PSN got Sonic Heroes and Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, any chances those will come to the NA PSN?

Any news on when US versions of the Apps Skype, Facebook, and FourSquare for the PS Vita will be available for download? Or if they are already, I can’t find them in the SEN/PSN on the PS Vita.

P.S. What’s the Official Acronym for it now, SEN, or still PSN? :D

None of your so called “ps2 classics” are really classics for me :| Please release Champions of Norrath 1 and 2 as classics I know that me and my friends would pay big money for those titles and I’m sure there are alot of other people out there that would too :) (aah and no multitap anymore that would be beautiful thing)

I guess a okay update, could be better. Let hope the rest of the updates can be better.

AND most importantly is ………. will the PSN UPDATE be early for once. Instead of late Tuesday night or like last week, when most of us didn’t get it till Wednesday, depends on what time zone you were in.

PRIMAL!? Oh man, its Primal guys! I bet everyone who comments is only here to talk about Primal, because thats the one game that everyone can agree we MUST preserve. I can’t believe I can digitally buy Primal, the one rare PS2 game I never got my hands on.

Seriously though, quit wasting your time and our time by converting games nobody is going to buy. I can’t wait until next week when we get Strawberry Shortcakes Ponytime Adventures: The Book: The Movie: The Game.

Edit: Dead serious, the first joke at the end of my post was about Ty the Tazmanian Tiger….and then I noticed you guys actually released that. That is just insanely depressing.

Primal is a pretty fun game, but it was a little ruff around the edges. Definitely worth the $10 though.

Hey anybody! ONE QUESTION!!!!!!!! Whats the best $10 game on PSN? I heard Joe Danger was cool.

supvic said:

February 26th, 3:40 pm

Killzone3 isn’t just a demo, it’s the full MP game but with a level cap, just like the MAG demo which is also the full game with a level 8 cap. I heard it’ll be $15 to unlock.

I hope we get a sequel to Primal soon.

February 26th, 4:12 pm

That’s it? Ridiculous! When is SKYRIM, Dead island, Nascar 2011 the game, Dirt, Dirt 2, GT5 and for crying out loud Dirt 3 hitting the US psn store? Almost half of the most popular games out right now are on the psn store in OTHER COUNTRIES but were left to wait till when? 2020! Sony you are beginning to wear my patience thin with the digital games on the American psn you choose. It raged me that Just cause 2 was on Xbox live for well over a YEAR before you brought to psn. Speed up I mean come on. PS4 will be out before you add the dam* things. Speed it up cause not all of us like having to buy Blueray games. I prefer digital only.

MP_is_for_Chumps said:

February 26th, 4:13 pm

Deus Ex ful digital release will be mine if its got a sensible price for an older game. $20 maybe? I see a lot of other EA games going for that price on PSN these days.

Not bad but wish there was a street fighter X tekken demo

February 26th, 4:20 pm

Cause as it stands their is tons of games I have money on my main psn plus account I’d buy on psn but you won’t put them on psn. So it means no sale from me till you get these popular games on psn. You could have all the uncharted on psn to. Don’t feed me its too huge a download. Nothing is too huge to downlaod its just the CAPPING you do to your servers is the issue with that. Stop putting a cap on the download server of psn and a 50 gb game download would only take me like 1 and half hours to download with my speed. But it takes me almost a whole day to download a 19 gb game off psn. Black ops was proof of that. Take the stupid PSN CAP off.

MP_is_for_Chumps said:

February 26th, 4:21 pm

@ Yohmaru_EX

Sony left out Killzone 3’s story mode because its only 4.5 hours long. I heard they told Guerrilla to just focus on the multiplayer, 3D and move compatibility when it was being made.

That’s why i’m not surprised that the Founder and Co-creator of the Killzone franchise is leaving Sony and joining EA’s Dead Space studio.

February 26th, 4:23 pm

Hey guys what game should i get SSX or Binary Domain? played both demos and liked them alot.

Oh and please try the KILLZONE 3 MP TRIAL its my favorite FPS of 2011 over BF3 and let all your friends know its free on the PS store tuesday and 15 to unlock all the unlocks plus it comes with all the DLC , i play that game alot and would love to see more players on KZ. If your new to Killzone expect to die alot in your first matches cause it has a small learning curve. If you like Battlefield then youll probably like Killzone 3.

February 26th, 4:26 pm

Oh and before a Sony FANBOY rants back saying they don’t cap psn well you’re wrong. I’ve had Sony itself tell me over the phone they cap the psn download speeds. So It never matters how fast your internet is its always the same download speed for everyone almost all day of everyday unless the servers are overloaded on Tuesday’s.

JH-FallenReaper said:

February 26th, 4:34 pm

MY friend that plays COD all the time came to my house and since i dont like or own any COD he decided to play Killzone 3. On his 1st match he went 5-45.LOL he sucked so bad and never played it again. its not hard but he was playing like if it was COD, running around like an idiot.

Alright seriously Sony, where is Legend of Dragoon? We have been waiting far too long for this magnificent game on psOne classics. On top of that, being able to play ps2 classics on the Vita shouldn’t even require any amount of consideration on your part. It makes no sense to not be able to play ps2 classics on the Vita!

gameman15 said:

Wouldnt these demos been better off to come out last week since that is when the games came out? Seriously never understood letting demos come out after the game has been released. The people who were iffy about it wont be buying it until after, and its just doesnt make sense in my eyes.

Anyway seems like a dull week. granted this isnt everything thats coming out, but i assume no psp titles? really sad. people bought a Vita, most probably never owning a psp and Sony refuses to get some great psp titles out. Hopefully there will be a way to play great games like Phantasy Star, Crisis Core, and Kingdom Hearts on the Vita. Just wasted potential.

Primal isn’t a bad choice for a PS2 Classic, good game. BUT its ONE game, when SCEE has 38 PS2 Classics available as of right now and who knows how many more in the works. SO what gives SCEA? Sid, Jeff, Rey, Morgan, Charlie Brown, Mr Robinson, Capn. Crunch? I get the “rare and not so popular approach” to these PS2 releases nobody may have gotten to but SCEA hold publishing rights to some TRUE classics. ( google, esrb, PS2, Sony Computer Entertainment) for some truly worthwhile 1st party PS2 games that deserve the port.

(1,250 character limit?) Geez.. (cont)

Richlando said:

Not an exact, full on, rant that I usually get into but week after week seeing others post about PS2 games just shows that your “consumers” are VERY intrested in some quality titles and quantity as well. *Insert the usual “its the publishers call” or the expected non reply here but touching base with your “PS Nation”, thats for you Mr. Jack-y, on this and what SCEA feels about PS2 Classics would be beyond appreciated, not just for myself, but for the weekly post-ers here who really buy into the hope that PS2 Classics will get better and that SCEA is commited to them and will continue to release them and step up their game with some REAL PS2 Classics..and not just the “heres a PS2 Classics” that coincides with a retail PS3 release. Yeah that was for you Twisted Metal.

Rant over, heres hoping someone else cares to reply.
