Today marks a special day for us here at SuperBot Entertainment, as we finally get to share our game with the world! PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale existed as an idea in the hearts of gamers way before SuperBot got around to making it, and the expectations of the fans are really what drive us. This game is a labor of love, and we’re excited to be able to finally show it — learn more in our new video interview above.
So what is PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale? First and foremost, it’s a celebration of a storied history of great characters and rich worlds brought together in one game. And for us, there’s no better way to celebrate than by creating an experience that players can sit around one screen and enjoy together. There are probably a few types of games that can be enjoyed by four players simultaneously, but for us at SuperBot, a brawler was the obvious choice for one really good reason: the developers here at SuperBot really like fighting games. We love playing them and we love making them. With PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, we set out to make an experience accessible enough for all PlayStation fans to enjoy while also creating something deep enough for the serious fighting game aficionado. We think this “accessible yet deep” strategy is the perfect way to bring PlayStation fans of all stripes together.
The game features a number of cool game modes for both single and multiplayer, with a focus on online play which features a robust tournament mode. Players will be able to compete against each other as well as play cooperatively. We can’t wait for you all to try it for yourself.
Until then, please stay tuned; there are plenty more features, characters, and levels we want to show. And you definitely don’t want to miss what we’ve got in store for E3!
Will Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon be in it? I know Sony doesn’t own them anymore, but it would be really cool to have them playable for old time’s sake. If it’s a celebration of Playstation history, Crash and Spyro definitely deserve an invitation, and in their classic designs (not their modern ones).
If you want to REALLY REALLY sell this game in JAPAN, you better include Crash Bandicoot, he’s a must. Oh, and Japanese characters would help a big way too. Also, try to include more female characters, remember Nariko from Heavenly Sword, Elena from Uncharted, maybe Sack Girl as alternate costume for Sackboy, and some third-party ones of course like Aerith, C;aire Redfield/Jill Valentine. Get those copyrights moving!
Please include ring outs!! As it currently stands, you can only beat an opponent by using a special power? That is all fine and dandy as parts of the settings that you can switch for a custom match, but regular matches should have ring outs.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get the main character from 3D Dot Game Heroes in there! He needs Tuna Sword ability! Super move that unleashes the screen filling sword attack! He is made of blocks so you have him change into something else, like a TANK! Please make it happen!
I hear Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.is a major share holder for Silicon Studios too, so talk talk talk to them and get it done!!! This game will be complete for me with this blocky, customizable guy.
Will this game have Ps3 trophy support and will this game feature the ability to play my music that is stored on my Ps3’s hard-drive during actual gameplay (custom soundtrack)? I do appreciate and love music created by the game developers but I just like to have that option you know what I mean? I know this game’s music is going to be cool.
This looks like a blast. I’ve wanted something like this for a while. The comparisons to Smash Bros is inevitable, but it looks like you guys have iterated upon the formula and having Playstation characters make this a must for me!
Please have Solid Snake in the game. He is one of the great third party characters that has defined the Playstation since its inception. It doesn’t matter if he was in Brawl, I’m sure you guys could think of a way for him to be in it that would be different. Old Snake perhaps.
Ezio would be sweet as well.
Spyro’s return to glory if possible would be amazing.

Though I hold no real intentions of buying/playing this I hope to see more 1st generation characters such as Blasto and the protagonist from Intelligent Qube.
Looks very well done. Only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the lack out KO’s by ring out. Part of the excitement from playing Smash Bros. is watching yourself launch your friends across the screen. Still I’m really excited for this game and will probably buy it right away. Oh and thanks SuperBot for finally making this game, you guys rock!
I heard about the announcement of this game on Thursdays early Friday, and I pre-ordered this game today (Saturday). Game looks promising, and with the many characters the PlayStation Family has to offer starting with PS1, PS2, PSP, Ps3, and PSVita, there should be well over 50 characters to pick. This is not including 3rd party characters. Also there can be crazy add on characters down the road, and a plethora of backgrounds with DLC.
Don’t forget to add Crash Bandicoot and some of his characters, like Tiny, Coco, etc.
Sora is my #1, 3rd party pick. The Journey guy is #1 for me 1st party pick.. and am I the only who keeps thinking Sackboy will be like Kirby? You know taking other characters powers, since you can buy so much skins for LBP 1 & 2, I think it’ll only make sense where he haves a move like that
Game looks awesome, great job Superbot, and I love how each level is a mix of 2 different games and interacts with the players in a way. I personaly would like to see as characters:
Tomba since I believe he was a well known character in the PSone generation and would go great with the type of he attacks he could use.
Also would be awesome if you guys could add caracters from the legaia series (Legend of Legaia from PSone and Legaia 2: Duel Saga from PS2) even thoug the games weren’t really well known they had quite a bit of “secret” fans and the arts or techniques of each character would work perfectly for the game such as Vahn could have summersault, pyro pummel, tornado flame,etc and make use of the seru and origins for the super moves.

lol anyhow i do really expect to fight on the back of a car going around the Nuremberg ring while getting pick ups tossed at the car from wipeout vehicles or crash tag team racing karts or maybe racing along ridge racers :P the environmental aspect would be the things getting tossed going at the players but i would prefer it causing the cars to spin out of control causing players to fly around the stage or onto another car

We say bring Kadaj in as a character and have his level 3 super transform him to Sephiroth for a limited time.
Cuz I mean we want Sephiroth but realize you guys would have major balance issues with him. ;)

From what I’ve seen, you guys are doing a tremendous job on this game! The characters so far look nice and move fluidly, and the backgrounds look interesting and deadly! Some great work has been put into this project, so keep it up, because now I’m expecting a lot from your team =P

How about adding nathane hale or capelli from resistance since that is also A playstation exclusive or maybe not just playstation exclusive persay but what about both versions of commander shepard from mass effect if your able to get permission from bioware
Cole McGrath: He is also highly unique, so I’d be extremely disappointed if he wasn’t in.
Nathan Drake: He’s a highly famous character, and like Cole, I’d be surprised if he wasn’t in.
Jak (& Daxter): Never played this game, but they’re supposed to be famous. Would be nice to have them in.
Ratchet (& Clank): Running around with those alien guns would be fun and a great addition. Plus, he really is a PlayStation All-Star.
Sackboy: Like with Fat Princess, a skill set would need to be made up for him.
Crash Bandicoot: A return of what should’ve been Sony’s mascot would be nice. Spinning/Bellyflopping would also be awesome.
Spyro the Dragon: A dragon would make a nice addition to the roster.
Assassin’s Creed Protagonist: Sorry, never played this game, and all I know is his general theme/appearance.
Sora: Kingdom Hearts rocks, and Sora would be just as amazing in this game with his keyblade/magic. Plus, there could be a stage based on Castle Oblivion!
Cloud: He’d be a nice addition in my opinion.
Sephiroth: I know that he’s an insane boss in Kingdom Hearts II. However, I think that if he is toned down a bit, he could be a nice character (Did you see how long his sword is?).

I would love to see Aya Brea in this game. Also, seeing as there should be more female fighters in this game, I would like to nominate Ooh La La from Space Channel 5 as a possible fighter. Her dance moves would provide an interesting fighting set.
