  • As I said, a lot of vita owners don’t have a ps3, nor should they be expected to buy one to dl psp games that have been verified to work on the vita. End of story, no excuses, no more bs, no more coming soon crapola. Priority one. I want my ps3less brethren who own a vita to be able to enjoy the same psp games that I’m enjoying. It pisses them off and it doesn’t make me happy, either. It leaves a bitter taste in the mouth all the way around.

And yeah, if you’re not going to make PJM deluxe work on my vita, then I want a refund as well.

  • Disapointing list is disapointing…

  • The thing that gets me is, Sony who just posted a major loss of $5.7 billion, doesn’t seem interested in making easy money. Not only is a large part of the PSP catalog non-working on the Vita, inaccessible to users of certain regions, and not available for purchase via the Vita, Sony also doesn’t make it possible to buy content from other regions on the PS3. The system is region-free (which is awesome by the way), so why can’t I buy Japanese games on the PSN? It would be easy to do the Yen/Dollar conversion on the fly. I don’t care if the games are not translated. Post a user-beware statement, but let us buy the games. I know they work on my system, because I’ve imported before. It’s just a long, inflated process that completely defeats the point of PSN digital delivery and ends up pushing money into the pockets of middle men.

  • Sony has a plethora of salable product that they cordon off. It doesn’t make sense. I’m sorry it is getting slightly off-topic, but I have never understood why a company that needs money this badly continues to separate marketable content from users who are desperately trying to throw their money at Sony. We all want Sony to do well, because it makes the products we love. Why are they so stupid sometimes?

  • I bought PixelJunk Monster Deluxe because I read here that it would work in Vita today. I want a refund, it is not working. I do not even own a PSP to play it.

  • @36; Some of Halfbrick’s games were given free to PS+ members early on… Age of Zombies was recycled at least once too. So it’s been up twice.

  • PS1 Support…hurry up. I bought a Vita with the intention of playing FF7 and 8 on it (as I sold my PSP), but I have yet any information. Hurry up!

  • @133: GET OVER IT. Crisis Core and Birth By Sleep will never grace digital services, because they don’t have the licenses required to release them digitally. Whether that be a certain voice actor, composer, or something else only Square Enix (and Disney for BBS) would know. They would if they could, but they can’t, so get over it and stop whining about those games.

There’s a reason not every song every created is on iTunes. There’s a reason not every music video is on a service like Vevo.

Maybe you should just take a step back and actually THINK about it for awhile. Then realize that it’s not as simple as, “Oh hey, let’s release this digitally. *sends to Sony/Apple/Amazon/whatever* There we go!”

  • There we go this is what i like to see. Granted i still dont see some big name games like Crisis Core, or Kingdom Hearts. i still see games i want to buy/play so im happy. hope this continues.

  • coded arms, medal of honor heroes, socom fireteam bravo 3, and infected

  • No Monster Hunter or Dissidia? That’s a bummer.
Well, ill be waiting for more titles to come.

  • Awesome! I just bought The Impossible Game (it;s on SALE for $.99) and confirmed for VITA. The only other must have MINI title I want is WHERE IS MY HEART, please bring this game to us VITA players! Thank you

  • @156 um..both of those games are on the Store already.

  • I see my Vita soon becoming the place for a dozen or more quality mini games. I know a lot of people have asked about folders for the Vita’s interface. Instead of folders, could you do the following:

    – Create a way for a user to go a level deeper into a screen, where additional games/apps are contained. Say I have eight minis in a screen. I could then tap the lower right corner, and go a level lower and access additional games/apps.

  • I was playing Star Ocean: The First Departure before selling my PSP to Buy my PSVITA and i’d love to continue playing it on my PSVITA.

  • cant wait for Gods Eater Burst

  • I see the edit they made about the Deluxe version working on Vita. It didn’t say that when it was first posted. My mistake. Sorry.

  • No LittleBigPlanet?

I find it strange that the psp games are all third party titles.

I bet Sony is going to polish them up and charge us to play them again and call the HD collection or something.

  • Would love to see Phantasy Star Portable 2 eventually. Seen a YouTube video of the EU version running on the Vita.

  • I suggest you use E3 to make a “mini” announcement:
*** ALL mini games now $2.99 or less, with many discounted to .99! ***
This, along with the additional mini and PSP games released soon, would be a great boost to the Vita’s expanding library. It would definitely boost sales of mini games, as there are plenty of us that would gladly spend a few bucks on a fun, smaller game – especially for our Vita.

  • I bought pixel junk monster deluxe for psp because it was advertised as being able to play on the vita today. This is false advertisement, you can’t lie to your customers like that it’s illegal. Definitely want my money back or some type of compensation this isn’t right.

  • I was told there would be PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe. I don’t even see it on the coming soon list.

  • Thanks for awesome work Sony. Please add to the PS Vita list.

    Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

  • @massimodo As I said earlier, I am aware the Vita PSN is much limited compared to the PS3 and PSP PlayStation Store. I know the PSP’s selection on the Vita itself is limited, without or with a PS3. However owning a PS3 will allow chemerie to download some of the titles and transfer them over. I AGREE that Sony should allow Vita owners to access download the full catalog of available titles much like the PS3, but I am sure Sony is working on that. It will be there soon enough, so until then you’ll have to wait.

Also, just because another Vita owner on the fourm says he doesn’t have a PS3…it is false to claim that most Vita owners lack a PS3. Vise versa, it doesn’t mean most Vita owners also have PS3 or most PS3 owners have a Vita. My point is that unless there was a poll or some statistic from a credible source proving your point, don’t just say most of Vita owners don’t have a PS3 as a fact. It’s opinion, much like me disagree with said opinion. I think otherwise, but that is not a fact unless I can prove it with some evidence.

  • Can you also play multiplayer psp games on vita?

  • Ok, i would just like to say to the people in charge of VITA, you are honestly beginning to dissapoint…

You do realize i literally have a small fourtune waiting to buy good vita games like for instance…

A pixle junk game made for touch
    Gravity Rush
    GrandTheftAuto
    Resistance
    LBP
    ANY rpg
    ANY freeroam
    Lair or wtfever its called
    A G’D resource managment RTS ala C&C

I bought a vita at LAUNCH, fought for the last 3g model in my area, and Im glas I did…have had a LOT of fun. the Vita becomes entertaining in ways you couldnt imagine or read about in text, you just have to give it a try to really get it.

BUT who is goona give it a try with so little to intice them? So early on…and dropping the ball for PS1 support alienating the old fan base.

Its like a recipe for suicide if you ask me…A GAMER.

.im begging you to get rid of whoever is in charge of VITA production/release, i dont care if its the great Kaz himself!

  • i have the following psp games on my ps3:

    fight night round 3
    PES 2011
    ufc undisputed 2010
    gladiator begins
    silent hill origins
    the sims 2 pets
    wwe smackdown vs raw 2009
    gradius collection
    midnight club LA remix
    need for speed carbon
    gran turismo
    tekken 6
    GTA Vice city stories
    syphon filter: logans shadow
    UNO

these all work on my vita and some are not on the vuta store but if you have a ps3 download them on your ps3 then copy them on to your vita :)

  • chrisfreitas, I said a lot of vita owners don’t own a ps3, now, you’re falsely claiming that I said most vita owners lack a ps3. Your argument blows, anyway, it doesn’t matter whether its a few or many. You don’t discriminate among your customers. What’s available to one should be available to all.

  • @Elvick I wouldn’t be too sure that. There is a chance that Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII could be released on PSN. There has not been any claim that they whether or not these games will appear on the PlayStation Store eventually. Granted, BBS and CC were intially UMD only releases, but there has not been any denial that these games will ever come to digital form. This doesn’t mean that they will show up, but it is possible so let fans dream about it. After all, Dissidia, The Third Birthday, Tactics Ogre, and FF4 and Tactics did get digital releases (as well as UMD). These are all Square-Enix games (much like BBS and CC) so it’s possible. However people shouldn’t expect it will come out anytime soon.

  • X_FaDde2BLaCk_X

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Valkyrie Profile Lenneth and the Star Oceans and i’m happy! Then i’ll finally be able to get rid of my psp :) Please Square-Enix release these games on the store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sony’s credibility has sunk to an all time low along with their stock price. Rayman Origins for $15, that PJM deluxe you bought for your vita will work come May 15th, and oh, yeah, in three months time, we brought you 6 psp games and 7 minis to the vita store and we’re very excited about that. Here’s a coming soon list of psp and mini games nobody gives a rat’s ass about and we’ll ignore the psp and mini games fans have been clamoring for on the vita store. Odds of psone classics on the vita have gone from pretty good to a pipe dream.

Better get your resumes ready, boyz, because, before the end of the year, you could be out of a job. A distant third place in the NA market for the ps3, and the vita is so far behind the 3ds in sales, nintendo can’t even see the vita in their rear-view mirror.

The vita’s window of opportunity is closing rapidly. Great hardware can’t overcome a crap software services department with people who need a serious reality check.

  • BadboyStudiosInc

More Ace Combat titles or any flight combat games.

  • i really wish the Metal Gear Solid games would become available for download too.

  • I’m more than disgusted. It was supposed to read PSOne Classics and PSP games. I bought it with only one game, but I wanted it mostly to play PSOne games with two sticks. Also, the settings are so limited on the PSVita compared to PSP. Seriously, I’ve had only Sony consoles since I’m 6 years old, but I’m thinking about selling all of it because of all this bad hardware and communication. I keep buying it cause of the good games, not the good console.

  • @massimodo Thanks for pointing that out. I wasn’t trying to falsely claim and now understand what you’re saying by “a lot” meaning a portion of people. For that I am sorry for misunderstanding. I wasn’t trying to make anyone upset.

However, I disagree with your rebuttal about Sony discriminating its customers by limiting the Vita store. While I agree that every game should be available, I don’t think Sony is intent in screwing its Vita customers over. I am sure within time all will be available for those who just own only a Vita. It doesn’t do them any justice to limit their selection, so it would be available in due time. Why it is limited is odd, but I am not saying Sony is screwing me. Besides, not every PSP game downloaded on PS3 is compatible with the Vita such as MGS: Portable Ops but Sony said they are working on it. While most of my downloaded PSP games work, there are some I wish that worked but I am patient. I am mostly playing Vita games right now so I can wait.

  • chrisfreitas,
why they’re doing what they’re doing is not my concern. I’m not affected, but others are, and this platform needs their support if it is to have any chance of surviving let alone thriving.

The honeymoon’s over. Its put or shut up time, time to deliver or pack up and go home. You think third parties aren’t looking at this FUBAR situation here. Why would I want to publish a title on a system that doesn’t have its act together. A store that opens whenever the people running it have finished having their coffees and had their smoke break.

3 months, man, and they all have to show is 6 psp games and 7 minis for the vita. Absolutely unacceptable, by anybody’s standard. This a big blow for their street cred. It just hit bottom. We’re working hard on it, wink, wink. The whiners, trolls and critics will have a field day, and hey, sony’s only got themselves to blame.

I can’t defend them, won’t even try. Be patient, eff that. Doesn’t look like they’re making any effort whatsoever.

  • Instead of Playstaion: Vita…Maybe you should call it Playstation: Se Vita Privare.

Hopefully if you dont know latin you atleast versed in the langauge of copy/cut/paste…

  • omg-z cant come soon enough to my vita…i love that game

  • Resistance Retribution!!

  • Ya, where is PixelJunk Monsters? What the heck?

  • A great decision. But what I really wanna play is fate unlimited code. Why cant I play what I have purchased?

  • If I wanted to play PSP games I’d turn on my PSP. I have hardly used my Vita since launch. All I have to say is Burning Skies better be awesome otherwise I might chalk the Vita up to a bust and a waste of money. At least it’s turning into a very expensive PSP device.

  • NinjeticSkittle

Any chance of SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2?

  • While Sony doesn’t benefit for limiting the Vita store, it doesn’t certainly hurt them. The people most likely to download PSP titles are probably those who have owned or already own a PSP. This audience might compare to newcomers to Sony’s products. These people may or may not be compelled to buy an older game, but a newer, better looking Vita game. Also, there are some Vita owners who may not want to repurchase a PSP game, especially if they still own a PSP and the UMDs. I wouldn’t want to do that either. I am not defending Sony, but I am also not totally blaming them for being timely in releasing them on PSN, especially on Vita. Their primary focus is on new games that take advantage of the system. I would like classic games to be available to all, and I have confidence they will. The fact that this list of upcoming PSP games for PSN exists solidifies my confidence that Sony is at least working on it.

  • PS one classics! Crisis core and the new castlevania!

  • i was able to get Age of Zombies and Monstar Hear Me Roar for free because of PS+ and i was able to get them into my Vita via the downloads list on the Playstation Vita Store.

i also have Silent Hill 0rigins which i got using the PS3 as a download station.

i think Burnout Legends & Dominator can be loaded into the Vita via the PS3 as well.

just waiting for the PS1 classics to work hehe! :)

  • #181,, the ps vita has dropped 10 games per month digital and a it debuted with 22 games at lauch or so.. Thats alot of game it has over 60psp titles that can to ps vita, so it has over 100 or close to that it can dl on ps vita.. there over 400 something odd psp tiltles.. What your tlking is krazy no company can put all that plus new games out and over 4000 ps1& ps2 titles in 3 mths of something..You tlking impossible my friend

Ps vita is right on track. yes some own vita as a stand alone vita , this is why they are missing out becuase ps vita is not really a stand alone device its a multi multi device. Meaning get a ps3 to reap the benifits of ps vita. Now you can play it as stand alone yes. But to reap the true power of it you need to have ps3 and a psn ..That was what was advertised

    Mcbuttz78

  • i ment a diverse multi media device of playstaions software.*

  • Just add patapon 3 please T.T I want to let my poor psp die, but I can’t while I cannot enjoy patapon 3 on my vita.

    Let it rest Sony….
    Give it peace.

  • I myself do not own a PS3 as well. Do I enjoy the Vita? Yes, but I am beginning to regret buying the darn thing. Most of the titles that would be amazing on the Vita are going to PS3 PSN. Alien Spidy for one, where the Devs only used the platform to get their game known. I don’t want to play PSP games on a darn Vita, I would have just bought a PSP. I spent $360 the day I bought my Vita, knowing I should have just bought a PS3 but I was caught up in the Vita’s hype. Yes it is a fairly new system but the lack of content or even information to consumers as to what is going on is egregious. If Sony wants to compete with the 3ds, IOS they are doing a poor job of it.
Waiting to announce titles at E3 isn’t going to make me say “Oh my god that’s why we were waiting” frankly I’m completely tired of shooting at other human beings and playing smash and grab. Most of the games for the Vita that are announced I already have paid off and were expecting them to be released within the coming months LBP, Silent hill etc. If you don’t like my whining you know what you can do. I have spent over a $1000 when it comes to the Vita and that money I earned serving my country so I have every right to be a disgruntled customer. Good day.
