  • I bought Gungir for the Vita and lo and behold, it can’t be played/ transferred/ whatever. Fix this sort of stuff already.

  • @LlamaD
ah sorry i saw a bunch in the big box where they put all 20$ games at walmart
but hey! if you go in ps store “search” for Borderland extravasplosion and its 19.99$ for everyones
i just found it on the store, and really worth it, cuz that game is a GEM!
sad i already buy everything at full price last years ;)

  • I can not enter the PS store. I can sign in and play online, but can not enter the STORE!!!

    PLEASE HEELLLLP!!!!

  • Hey guys i played the Gravity Rush demo, and i really liked it but, it was too short; can anyone here asure me that this game is so good as it was the short demo??

  • I rarely post messages online so take heed to my words of wisdom.

In 2008 it was fine for Sony to give mediocre updates like this because the disc based games more than made for it, however, we’re halfway through year 2012 and this is embarrassing!

WHERE ARE THE PS1 AND PS2 GAMES I USED TO PLAY HOURS ON END? All caps in this case does not mean yelling but grabbing the attention of importance of how vital these games were and still are! The ones local game stores don’t sell because they’re obsolete?

The Playstation Store needs a complete makeover. It’s a nightmare trying to navigate through the clutter.

The web browser has gotten worse somehow since I used it in 2009. Something is wrong when google crashes on PS3 consoles.

Playstation Home was better when it was more simplistic. Please go back to the older style with only a few places to navigate for the main plateau. Why not offer coupons/discounts/promotions to people who use Playstation Home? Are our email addresses too hard to acquire?

  • @morgan

“Trust me, we’re all about people spending money on the Store =) We don’t take late updates lightly.”

Yet you still haven’t managed to figure out how to update the store early and consistently after almost 6 years? Every other online merchant(including SCEE and SCEJ) have figured it out. Stop making excuses and fix the problem.

I can never understand companies knowingly making decisions that cost themselves money and refusing to do anything about it. This is just as perplexing as WWE always opening the doors to their shows 15 minutes late. They flush crap loads or merch sales down the toilet weekly and should know better and do it anyway.

Sony flushes PSN sales down the toilet weekly and should know better.

  • I can’t believe how worked up people are about the late update. Sure it’s a minor (at best) inconvenience for anyone looking for the next new content they want to buy, but this certainly hurts Sony more than any one customer. If Sony can’t fix it … their loss.

Coming from a marketing/sales perspective, I certainly understand the “problems beyond our control” factor. Either you drop the third-party product and its potential sales to be on time, or you are late with the release and risk losing some customers who move on. I don’t know if that is in fact the issue with the store update, but I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s a decision every manager is faced with.

If it’s too much of a problem for you to deal with, find another video game console/content provider.

  • @149

So you haven’t noticed the instant game collection with tons of games like

    Infamous 2
    Little big planet 2
    Saints row 2
    Etc…

  • Can we get an ETA on when Gungnir will be compatible with the Vita?

  • Morgan:
you are the most patient man on the planet. I do not envy your job of responding to the faceless (and therefore vicious) hoi polloi that are screaming for blood when an update runs a bit late. Good work on answering pertinent questions, addressing valid complaints and not breaking down into a crying mass of goo under the pressure. Thanks, man, it matters and is impressive.
    -clever

  • On the video side of the store in the TV section the Infinite Stratos series is missing the HD option in episode 7 yet all the other episodes released before and after have the HD file. I’ll keep buying the rest of the episodes if this is corrected. Unless Sony doesn’t feel they need the money.

  • Looking at the video side of the store I see one of my fave series Infinite Stratos is missing the HD version of Episode 7, the other episodes have it but not this 1. Theres no good reason why not unless you would rather lose sales. This has been going on for weeks and should be fixed already. It’s sloppiness.

  • @Morgan
Does PSN have plans for releasing Jean D arc compatibility for Vita, or Brave Story New Traveler or RESISTANSE Retribution??

  • I CAN NOT ENTER THE PS STORE FROM MY PS3/PSVITA!!!!

I CAN SIGN IN AND PLAY ONLINE, BUT CAN NOT ENTER THE PS STORE FROM MY PS3!!!!

I CAN CONNECT ONLINE WITH MY PSVITA, BUT CAN NOT SIGN IN TO THE PSN!!!!

“CAN NOT CONNECT WITH THE SERVER”!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING HELP!!!

  • This update was pretty late but i can take a day, anyways the update is good because batman looks really cheap but if you can tell sony, can u tell sony to make a new update where you can delete trophys, and whatever u want to fix, i want to clean out my trophy collection.

  • i kinda expected no reply thats how sony works they got caught in a lie and they cant back it up

  • Nothing new for me this week.

That gives me the chance to chip away at my backlog, which is filled with PS+ awesomeness. =D

  • so the sale on the sonic games, is there suppose to be an added discount for plus members on those games?

  • Why are the Pinball Arcade two new tables available only for Vita and not PS3? I love playing the tables on both platforms!!!!!

  • Thanks for working on the Gungnir/Vita issue, I’d really like to play this. I hope that Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time won’t have a similar problem when it’s released next month.

  • @+ luvtoseek

I wish I could ld drink but no for 24 hours Gravity Rush worth every penny I spend on it! Had blast at the Hospital today! playing it infacyt was surprised that even post operation team and prep had vita too it was the bigest amount of people with me playing Gravity Rush I ever seen 45 Vitas 30 of them already had Gravity RUSH and 15 bought it because seen me playing me it… I never was thinking that doctors are huge gamers too it good to see them put trust into you.. SONY On other hand doctors are players at hear they play not only with Vita ps3 or psp but witt our life too the reason I told yesterday I could die because I have VSD from day 1 (for those who dont know simple a hole in a heart and my pulse minimum is 97 beats per minute (rabbit heart syndrome) tjhe higesrt I ever had 130 now in September I will have ultrasound of a heart to see if it’s steal present or not Ive seen people dayinfg from it at of 18 I guess I a the lucky one to survive it

  • It’s good to have Batman AC in PS Store, but I’m planning to buy the previous game first. Why didn’t you guys made them both available? A Bundle with all DLC would be great!!!

  • Any word on when will MGS: Peace Walker and Portable Ops (PSP versions) be available on PS Vita’s online store?

Also, I wish Konami reckoned that it’s about time we get a price cut on PW. $ 30 when the HD Collection is $ 35 doesn’t sound right at all…

  • PLEASE PLEASE GET KINGDOM HEARTS BIRTH BY SLEEP FOR STORE PURCHASE AND I WILL BUY A VITA RIGHT NOW I SWEAR THAT’S THE ONLY THING PREVENTING ME FROM GETTING IT.

  • Hmmmm weak week … Nothing free to PSN+ … maybe could be a special discount to Batman: Arkham City ($20.00) … anyway … i will wait for the news PlayStation+ Perks … ^.^

  • Mother of god, what’s wrong with some of you? Am I the only person in the world who just buy/download stuff on wednesday if the update isn’t up before I go to bed? I consider myself a huge gamer, since I play games as much as possible and always have tons of game to play and if the update isn’t up I just play something else.

Yeah, it’s frustrating when you’re waiting on a big game and your favorite store accidently didn’t get it on time, but some of you have no idea what’s going to be on the Playstation store and apparently spend the whole day going on the store and cursing the whole world since it’s not updated…. and then you come online and whine that this is the worst update of all time and Sony sucks because there’s nothing for you on it….

Do you guys think the world revolves around you? If you’re not happy and Microsoft are so great and only release AAA games of the genre oyu like every week at the exact time you want them, then get an Xbox?!? No one’s forcing you to stick around…..

  • no one cares about u or ur stupid opinions or comments massimodo!! Just go away!!!!

  • @ CyberGreyFox

Because we are only allowed one console right? Personally i own all 3 gaming consoles (plus the new handhelds) and Sony is still the only one who doesnt update in a timely fashion. if other companies can have their updates around 6am i see no problem why Sony cant do the same, or better.
There is a bigger picture here, the ones speaking out (like myself) want Sony to improve on this, why people like you want to stop that is beyond. The world may not revolve on one of us, but as a whole we are the sole reason as to why Sony updates the PSN. If they continue to give out late update and that doesnt bother some of you, whats stopping them from going forward and say only release 1 title every week? or 1 title a month? surely if these late update isnt a bother to you, having only 1 game updated per month shouldnt be right?

  • All in all though i honesty would like to Thank Morgan in all seriousness while i really dont want to be harsh and i know my comments on these blog seem somewhat negative i just hope you realize that im only doing it for Sony’s own good. Morgan at least acknowledge us and actually replies to us, while i understand he cant give out too much information. the info he does have/give us is really helpful. Its nice to see that at least someone on the Blog loves us enough to reply to us no matter how harsh, or calm our comments are.

Again i want to Thank Morgan for his hard work, im glad you are on the team and if i could meet you it would be awesome to shake your hand, or hug you!

  • Is it true that oddworld strangers wrath comes out on ps3 AND vita?

  • iTofuMan how touching… i can feel the love in the Air.

  • So any word on a fix for the Escape Plan demo?

  • The Metal Gear collection for the Ps Vita is very interesting beacuse it offers what’s not on the Ps vita version .And i’m curious as too why they decided to offer diiffferent games on the 2 systems.

  • Another week of bad PS+ content for those of us that don’t own a PS3.

As for the timing of this update, if you are constantly needing to push the update to 9PM+ eastern, maybe you should just make the update a Wednesday update at 6am eastern. That way, all the hiccups on Tuesday will get ironed out beforehand and we get a consistent release time.

  • Why in the world would people complain about PS+ when you got 12 mostly AAA games last week? They are well worth over $200. Pay $50, get $200 worth of content then still complain? Playstation users are the biggest group of complainers and crybabies I have ever seen and that takes the cake. I can see why you would be upset if you didn’t own a PS3 because there’s literally nothing other than an occasional PS1 Classic and Mini but that’s your own fault.

  • Crimanitly, what a bunch of whiners.

  • @ dilbig5

You still just RENTING the games, NOTHING is YOURS. And you have to pay for your internet bandwidth overload.

so 50$ for renting games you dont really want or already have, it’s kind of… mehhh…

i was a day first annual PS+ subscriber, and i never subscribed again. cuz everytime a real good game goes in sale it goes in sale for EVERYONES!

Renting Marketing plans system is a joke!

  • @ JRDeBo

if i remember correctly thats the whole reason as to why the PSN update got put on Tuesday instead of the the usual Thursday. it was because even on Thursday update it was late, actually quite more frequently since it would usually go up on Friday. Plus it help since most releases for games are on Tuesday.

    @ Cyb3rfr34k-iso

Ill agree with you to some extent. Even as a PS+ subscriber we are basically paying for this service to rent games, granted dont get me wrong these 12 free games we got recently was great. i bought into this membership/service because i thought it would all around. If anything this service is only catered towards ps3 user instead of psp/ps1/ps2/vita games. while ill admit its still a bit early for Vita titles and ps2 classic, whats the excuse for not having psp/ps1 titles with PS+?
And yes i know they stated at E3 we’d be seeing some content, but its obviously not starting anytime soon or we would have information by now.

  • Just a quick question. If I choose to “purchase” download one of the games included with Playstation Plus, but I cancel the download before it is finished can I download the game the following month?

  • @ kevn_88

Yes, as long as your PS+ sub is valid

  • when is remote play going to support games like infamous 2 cuz i want this on remote play so bad i would pay extra money play it and more people want remote play to work more than u think also is sucker punch going to create a 3rd infamous game since of how the 2nd one ended with the lighting shock on the boat

  • I like the way the system works it has its flaws… they seem to update pretty successfully most of the times. Ive spend hundreds of dollars in the psn store and i choose to because its efficient. I do wish the prices were a little closer to fair market value however, i also understand there is overhead. One thing i ask for is more digital ps3 games I really want Metal Gear Solid Hd Collection for ps3 released…

  • I’m personally fine with this update. I’m sorry to all of you who waited late for the update, but now I’ve got my Gravity Rush, and I’m incredibly happy with it so far. This combined with getting into the LBP Vita Beta has really made me pick the device back up again. If this trend continues, I can see it becoming a much bigger part of my gaming lifestyle, and I’m happy with that. Anyway, I won’t necessarily say great job team, but my faith in PlayStation certainly isn’t shaken.

Honestly, I’m just glad updates like these aren’t anywhere near as common as they used to be. The thing to remember, though, is that we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes to get these updates coordinated. It seems like, based off #15, Morgan, Grace, and the PS Blog team aren’t even the ones responsible for actually publishing the updates. It seems like all they do is write the posts, and yet they’re the ones that have to deal with the backlash from the community (Well, Grace might do more since he’s titled the “Director” of the PS Store).

  • I purchased Gungnir for the VIta as well, and it won’t transfer over. Is there anywhere we can register to be notified of when new PSP games become available for the Vita? I don’t want to forget about it and find out that it became available for the Vita months ago…

  • ESCAPE PLAN DEMO IS STILL NOT WORKING…. 4 days later!!! For God’s sake Sony, at least pull the blasted demo down! I’ve downloaded several times over the past few days and it just crashes with an error! And yes, I’m not the latest FW!

  • I Really Think That Their Should Be Minecraft For PS!! :D

  • Doesn’t the Marvel Pinball DLC come out this week too! I’m pretty excited to play the new tables!
