  • BTW TWII is more then 50% off on PSN compare to retail price + PSN actually managed to beat Steam offerings on this one… Store Ops getting better at this.. I hope I won`t be wrong and this will keep getting better

  • MegaXZeroLegends

    Get Gungnir VIta compatible already!

  • @140, he’s touched on this subject before. Different regions = different sales & releases.

And no, we did get something- the content is different is all.

  • Morgan, if you’re interested in feedback on Plus… as a brand new Plus subscriber I’m extremely disappointed in the new way things are being done. I decided to go Plus because I kept seeing all the free minis and classics and discounts every week. But as soon as I paid my money everything that made me want Plus went away and in its place are just 12 games I don’t care about, because I already own the ones I wanted – just 2 out of 12 – and the others I have zero interest in. My gaming preferences are very picky, I tend to avoid twitch based games because my arthritic hands can’t keep up. The old store had so much variety of small stuff there was something I wanted every week. The new store only offers 12 big games that are worthless to me. You may rotate in 2 new games each month or whatnot, but chances are super low those 2 will interest me either. With so much variety of content every week I always knew next week would have great stuff if this week didn’t. Now, all I have to look forward to are people saying I’m a whiner for not being overjoyed at free games I can’t play without intense pain.

  • Batman 2 is amazing!! So far I think it’s the best LEGO game to date. I am a huge fan of Pirates and Indiana Jones 2 but this is just so FUN! I wish this had crossplay with the Vita because I would have bought both versions. Cannot wait for LOTR!!

  • Any news on when the HD Remake of Final Fantasy X will be coming to the PSN???

Been waiting anxiously since they first announced they were going to do a HD remake awhile back.

  • Seems like a nice little update nothing much especially for me. i plan to get Tomba and maybe the lego game, other than that not so much. Always good to see Morgan replies it great to see someone in the blog actually cares enough of us to reply and talk to us instead of the usual silence.

Still a low week for Vita but nothing was expected to release so i guess thats ok. Good to see a psp sale as well, would be nice to get a little more info on when Ps1 support is coming. Summer is just as vague as soon.

  • The Vita’s store still claims that there is “free-roaming flight” and “explore gotham city by walking, flying or unlocking and controlling a variety of cool vehicles”. Please amend this description so that people don’t make purchases under false pretenses like I almost did. Thanks in advance to Morgan and the whole PS team for correcting this.

  • Buy Tomba people! Any action/platformer fan should not be without it!

  • Man, I hope my PS3 can connect to the internet so i can get tomba! Stupid wifi; it’s such a bandwith-hog. The moment internet in my neighborhood got janky, my PS3 stopped connecting to the internet. It’s been a few months now…
    :(

  • Thanks for Tomba!! My hopes for a 3rd game have been somewhat rekindled. Even a Tomba! remake with HD graphics and the addition of the content that was left out would be really nice. Can we have Tomba! 2 too?

  • Amazon has Lego Batman 2 for the Vita for like $20…for a hard copy which is re-sellable. PSN is $40 for a digital, non re-sellable version…Hmmm

  • With Grace being replaced, does this mean we wont be getting the Tuesday store updates on Wednesday anymore?

  • @154, eh… terrible TT. Why do we have a 3DS port for a Vita game? And now this matter of false advertising. I’ll wait for the LotR title. Unless this crummy porting business continues…

@158, check it again. It was never $20 unless it’s a price mistake.

  • If the PS Plus games are in my DL list, it wont g away correct? As long as I am a Plus subscriber I keep everything in my DL list even if it is not DLed onto my HDD?

  • @160 Must have been a promo or mistake, cause I clearly remember having a WTF moment earlier today lol

  • WHY have you still NOT FIXED the ESCAPE PLAN DEMO in over 1 WEEK! It still reports error C2-12828-1 when trying to load it on latest FW after redownloading 10 times already including today, and hard rebooting the Vita multiple times!!

What is wrong with you guys that you leave a broken demo for a high profile game up for 1 week and its broken for almost everyone if not everyone!?!?

    • A fix to address this issue is tentatively scheduled for release next week. When ti comes, I’ll be sure to make a note of it in that Store Publish post, but my apologies for that demo experiencing issues.

  • Not much of an update for me; about the only thing that I would want that I don’t have is Tomba.

However, if you have PlayStation Plus and haven’t picked up Ass Creed Bro-hood or RDR, then those are a couple HDD space wasters worth your bandwidth.

For regular Sale items, Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Power Stone Collection are nice past-blasts. Worms 2: Armageddon maybe, too, but I’d just recommend Worms Reloaded on PC/Mac.

Kaleidoscope is definitely aesthetically bright, but it seems like it would take a while to get it to showcase everything it has on offer (for each play session, you build up more time to play through it again, allowing you to reach later stages).

Nice to see free DLC for JRPG(-ish?) titles, though I have yet to get into the Atelier games.

Not as big a splash of an update, but I’m sure there are folks still recovering from the beginning of the month.

  • is there going to be a GOD OF WAR: ASCENSION 3E Demo, like what they did with GOD OF WAR 3 3E demo?

  • @55, do some research, the VITA has outsold the PSP WW again this week, and is expected to get a massive bump this week in japan as Persona 4 launched.

  • Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes on PSN is the same price as the retail version, I thought it’ll be cheaper on PSN

  • @Morgan

I love all the new DLC. In fact I’m upgrading my hard drive from a 250GB to a 500GB. So I do not have space issues. I wanted to let you know I’m more incline to buying a full PS3 from PSN and then buying a case and a disc. This is one of the reason I’m upgrading to a bigger HD. So please keep tha full PS3 games coming. I can’t wait for Uncharted 1 and 2.

  • I love the new Marvel Pinball tables they are awesome.

  • Morgan, I can’t help but get frustrated when I see these absolutely amazing sales going on in the SCEE region on Vita games and absolutely nothing here. Vita games STILL haven’t been on sale here digitally, and meanwhile games like Reality Fighters, Little Deviants, and Modnation Racers are 10.99 euros. This week there’s over ten retail Vita games with a great discount on the SCEE store (plus there were PSN Vita titles on sale last week), and we get nothing.

I mean, Is there ANYTHING happening in this regard here? Not just in Playstation Plus (which seems weird that Vita is still not included in that program), but sales in general.

  • @150 and other people jumping to strange conclusions

Why are you acting as though the instant game collection aspect added to Plus this month takes away from all the other stuff we’ve come to expect with Plus?

As I understand it, the instant game collection is on top of what we’re already offered with a Plus membership. We’re still getting the PSN games, minis, PS1 classics, avatars, discounts and so on. So I’m not seeing what you’re on about.

EVen though I’m a pretty well informed gamer, I suppose I could be wrong, or maybe missed something in my constant search for video game news. Do you have a link to any kind of press released about Plus being changed this month that suggests the instant game collection is in some way REPLACING what we already get with Plus, instead of just being ON TOP OF what we already get? Because I’m pretty sure the instant game collection is in addition to what we already receive.

But if I’m wrong, I’d love to see the link.

  • This update would be great if the PSN would let me and the hundreds of other people on the internet (and that i know personally) add funds to the wallet so we can buy the content we want. Sony still refuses to even acknowledge there’s a problem though so many of us are reporting it. I haven’t been able to purchase anything from the store for almost a week now (worked fine a month ago and haven’t changed anything since). Most people have been waiting longer. I’ve called/emailed “customer service” multiple times.. which got me nowhere. I’ve re-set, re-stored, re-entered, called, waited, verified and done every possible thing I can on my end with no luck. I’m at the point where I’m honestly going to take my money elsewhere and turn my ps3 off for good due to the complete LACK of customer service on this issue.

I HOPE YOU’RE READING THIS SONY BECAUSE YOU’RE ABOUT TO LOSE A LIFE-LONG CUSTOMER! And I’m speaking for me, my friends and my family who are all experiencing the exact same problem on different ps3’s in different places on different accounts with different credit cards. There is obviously something wrong and we’d all like a solution or atleast and answer or some acknowledgement.

  • @Darth-Krayt I hope you are right. I don’t think anyone knows exactly what is in store for us with the new PS+. That is why now is a good time to give feedback. Obviously we haven’t gotten anything in the last 2 weeks, so that’s 2 weeks precedent at least. People are also obviously going to say that it’s strange to complain about 12 free games (which I’m not doing), but they must not realize that we aren’t getting 12 games next month. 12 games at once is a great way to get new people to sign up and make existing members happy for a month, but if the old system is abandoned entirely and from now on we only get 1 or 2 games rotated in each 4-6 weeks, I don’t know if I would like that as much as before. But, that being said, maybe we aren’t getting anything the rest of the month because we got the initial 12 free games this month. Maybe next month will be more similar to what we are used to, on top of rotating in 1 or 2 games to the collection. Who knows?

  • It’s more than just dissapointing how the video store is being handled so poorly. To top it off more effort is being put into heavily censoring comments pointing that out instead of Fixing it. To be Honest, nothing is being done to fix it. The thing is, its sony’s loss not mine, They could’ve made more sales but instead I can go elsewhere and not face the same dismal restrictive DRM.

  • are they ever gonna add the psp grand theft auto games to the u.s store?? ›:/

  • I was excited when I saw the Vita sale, but then let down pretty hard when I realized it was Europe only. I was planning on picking up a few of those titles. Guess I’ll just have to keep waiting. :(

  • Hey I am curious as to why the NA PSN Store has not gotten the Sonic avatars that Europe have (they have had them for a month.) I have been checking the store on each update to see if they are there, to no luck. SEGA is apparently (or has been) working on it but what is taking so long? For details see:

    http://forums.sega.com/showthread.php?411108-Episode-II-PSN-Avatars
    (Second post)

I know it isn’t a huge thing, but why haven’t they been on the Store yet? I mean I expected them weeks ago, and i would love a Sonic/Tails avatar.

  • Still no news on the rumored release of GTA 3 and Vice City on the PSN?

  • Where is Resistance Retribution?

Hey wanted to ask if this title is ever coming back on the psn store I really want to own this game digitly.

  • No Lego Batman for actual PS3? Man, I’m bored, I was gonna buy that.

  • Day one of summer over. I’m patiently waiting on that firmware update allowing psOne classics to be played on the Vita. Don’t let me down Sony! And uh, maybe help out poster #175 ok? He seems to be having a pretty legitimate beef.

I can’t buy any of the newly updated content I’m afraid, being jobless, but I will continue to enjoy my Ape Escape, Metal Gear HD, and hope to be beating Sephiroth senseless by Sept. 21!

  • Is Resistance Retribution going to come back to the PSN store soon? I’d really like to have that on my Vita.

  • Not really sure who I’m talking to on this blog but, can we see some new god of war ascension videos? There are all kinds of videos on the internet about this game, but so far all we have is the trailer and the 1 hour special. At least having the gameplay posted on this wesite would be great!

Looking forward to seeing new GoW: A videos.

  • What the heck happened to the walking dead ep.2? Its going on two months now.

  • @174, different regions = different content sales & releases. For example, how MGS HD for the Vita will be out in late June for Europe or the R&C Collection having different release dates. Will we have Vita sales here? Sure, but chances are it won’t be identical.

@176, have you tried using the Pre-paid PSN cards sold at Best Buy, Gamestop, Walmart, etc.? Additionally, if your credit card has issues, you can purchase a PSN card at Best Buy’s website & they’ll e-mail you the code.

@178, the only problem I have w/ the Video store is the lack of trailers (so I can judge the video & sound quality) for the titles. What is it you believe needs fixing?

@182, do you recall when the GTA V trailer was on the web? Rockstar then released GTA III for mobile systems. I don’t know why they avoided the PSN & Live platforms but it seems they like to tie in they’re older games following big annoucements.

  • Yup, I and many others having this problem have tried buying psn cards and that doesn’t work either. We still get the “cannot add funds to the wallet” or an error code that doesn’t make sense. It’s not a problem with my credit card i’ve already checked that and tried using it elsewhere with no problem. You can google “PS3 cannot add funds to the wallet” and you’ll see all the people having this same exact problem and that SONY is completely ignoring us. If they don’t fix this or atleast acknowledge a problem by the end of the weekend I’m turning to the dark side ( xbox :( ). Goodbye Playstation.. I’d say it was fun but that would be a lie.

PS. Sony customer service is the biggest joke on the planet. Their employees know less about the PS3 than my mother.. and that’s just sad.

  • @ Luv

“different regions = different content sales & releases” thats not entirely true, just because we all are in different regions doesnt mean the sales and releases are different, and again with your MGS collection i would think the only reason that is different is because in Europe they need to translate into like 3-4 different languages. You cant say that because some sales/release are far between that it is always like that. i mean the sales we get in our store usually go off in different regions. Granted they may not happen all at the same time, they way you put it seems like just because we get X games on sales/release means that Europe (or any other region) must have to get Y & Z games (basically anything but the same game we got)

  • WOW! At what point did “Game of the Year” become a meaningless marketing ploy? Ohhh, can’t wait till SEGA releases Thor: God of Thunder “Game of The Year Edition”…

  • Nice but I am not able to enter PSN Store I get server timed out error all over the place. I am in Chicago USA I barely was able to log in and post this. The PS3 signs me in now but cant enter the store. I cant even get in to account management. It has been over 4 hours now.

  • im having problems getting into ps store and account managment cause i get the error 80023017 any help?

  • Yeah, the store is down for some reason. I still like PS3 more than Xbox, but Sony is really getting annoying because they can’t keep anything up for more than 3 days without some problem.

  • what a shame sony, i payd 35 dollars for the metal gear solid hd collection for psvita and i can’t transfer it to my psvita because the store isnt working, stop wasting my time! i want to play the game!!

  • I have a little problem when i am trying to access Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Solider Game Trial. I waited a day and a half to download, and install, and when it finally was done i went and tried to start it up. It waited a few minutes and then came up with a message “An error occurred during the start operation (80029538)” I looked that up, and it has something to do with the Blu-ray disc reader. The thing is, all of my other discs/downloaded games work, and start up properly. I also restored the driver for the Blu-ray disc using the restore option in the back-up utility. This is the first time i have downloaded a game trial before, and i do not know if that is the reason, or i am missing something.

I’d definitely appreciate it if you guys could help with the problem, and get me shooting in the battlefield soon enough!

    Sincerely,
    Sniperboy12110

  • Is maintenance the reason I can’t currently add funds or purchase a plus subscription?

  • Morgan, I get paid bi-monthly and won’t be getting paid until the 1st… Please tell me Two Worlds II Velvet edition will still be $24.49 at that time.

  • Do you know if the Metal Gear solid Psp games will be available to buy on the Vita store, especially peace walker since its not part of mgs hd colleCtiOn for vIta?
