And another month passes to which I gotta admit they have done it again, in making me happy I pay for PS Plus. You guys are going to make me buy a bigger hdd.

  • Wait… let me get this straight. We have to wait another entire month for 3 more games? How often do we get a full retail game?

  • Dear gods of Playstation,

Please, please, please bring these to PS+Europe!

Except Renegade Ops – you’ve already given us that one…

  • The rumours before E3 of ps+ getting vita content was the reason i subscribed to plus, but it looks like you’re going in the oppisite direction; no more ps1 classics or minis like there used to be? If that’s the case i definitely wont be re-subbing. I’m already regretting spending my money on it as I’m finding SCEA’s general ignorance toward the vita really offputting, and it’s making me rethink spending money on psn in general. You need to start listening to the people Sony…

  • I bought PS+ last month solely because of the 12 free games. If this was a one-shot deal, then so is my PS+ sub.

  • Plus is great now. Infamous 2 is awesome. 10/10

  • more games that arent really worth signing back up to plus for lol sorry guys

  • Still ZERO push on the VITA! C’mon SONY PS VITA is fresh and new and it needs to be in the lime-light more! PS3 is its counterpart so make them co-exist more, don’t admit to yourself that Vita isn’t pushing as hard as you would’ve expected, especially for the price tag it has… Give me MORE VITA! Games, FLASH support, new firmware regarding new features, etc. Please don’t let me down on this new sexy product you have.

  • YES! ive been wanting to play Gotham City Impostors! thanks guys!

  • Well however you look at it the new format of not knowing what (mainly full PS3 games) are coming to Plus until a few day’s before isn’t gelling well with how I use Plus and the PS Store. Maybe I am in a much smaller and presumably less important demographic than most of you guy’s? I’m surely one of the older gamers out here as I’ve been gaming since the Spectrum 48k. yup that long.

I do agree with you to be honest, I’m sure it would be difficult to choose a full set of games that would in time be available for Plus, but as the chap, Morgan I believe said that at the very least they won’t be offering a game on sale for Plus one week and offering it for free in the near future..

It still leaves me in my original state of not knowing when or even if to buy something of interest in the foreseeable future from the store when it may arrive on Plus in a month or two. Out of interest how would you solve this?

And that’s a serious question as I’ve thought long and hard over a possible solution and have yet to find one other than to stop buying anything your not certain will remain off of the free Plus games (As certain as you can be anyway lol) right now and see how Plus settles over the following months.

  • i was hoping for motorstorm like on the EU PSN+ strore a driving game is the only that i need for my game colection =)

  • My friend posed a question that I’m not entirely certain how to answer. If the PS+ service lapses for someone, but they renew it down the line, are all previously accessible free games made accessible again? His concern was if he were to buy a 3 month subscription but not be able to renew he would lose access to the games he downloaded when he is able to renew.

    • If you lapse, and come back, you’ll be able to access all the games that were originally downloaded on the initial membership.

  • @156, how about Sony giving us a range of titles & we have a deadline to vote what should be in the + program? I know it’s tough because we’re all not rich & want to spend our $ wisely- I mean in the end, the selections may not be stellar but at least us, the consumer, can decide which content should be included in the + promotions & the PSN weekly sales.

  • Not sure about Gotham City Imposters… 2 awesome games added to PS Plus that I didn’t get around to playing or buying before. Would be great to hear more about DLC and PS Vita games for Plus along with hopefully an increase in cloud space and more uses for automatic downloads.

  • 150 MB is just not enough and MS is offering far more and I’ve said it from the day 1 of PS Plus, but it would be great if I could set automatic downloads to download content off the PSN store for me when it updates.

  • @Morgan I fully expected there to be a lot of complainers this month, because I knew it was unavoidable that many kids would not understand that we aren’t getting 12 games a month. Sorry you have to deal with that.

None of these 3 games is a disappointment, but I was secretly hoping for at least 1 old blockbuster like bioshock or anything to really sell me on this new format. So now I’m still feeling a *little* hesitant. If you look at the content very objectively, it is very similar to the quality we were getting on a monthly basis before, so I’m not feeling disappointment. The big difference is that before the content was more spread out through the month and it consisted of classics and minis and maybe 2 PSN games. (For current subscribers, having 12 available at any given time has nothing to do with the equation at all anymore — that is only a benefit for people signing up).

I’m trying to be very constructive. I can get used to only getting games once a month, that’s only a psychological issue. It may even be better that way because it’s nice to get a few at once in case you already own 1 or 2 or aren’t as interested in them. This is how I see it: previous months we would get 2 PSN games 2-3 classics, and several minis. Depending on how you look at it, this is very similar to the new program of getting 3 PSN games or 2 PSN games and 1 Full PS3 game, except now we just get it all at the beginning of the month. Months with a full PS3 game will probably be great, and months without one will be no better or worse than before. I think you have a very good variety of games going (except for leaving out RPG), and I think you’re doing a great job. My only request is that you include the Vita in some way.

  • I was honestly hoping for one or two more games, but really, this is a good month for me. I had wanted Pac-Man CE DX and Gotham City Imposters for a long time, just never really got around to buying them. Too many games in my backlog. Hadn’t heard of Renegade Ops until now, but it seems really interesting as well.

So yeah, good choices. I was hoping for one PS3 game or PS1 classic, but oh well.

  • Ah, how I enjoy the pages & pages of self-entitled whiners. And read luvtoseek’s (& usually Elvick’s) attempts to reason with them. Do you also attempt to reason with those kids crying & thrashing about @ Walmart when they don’t get something mommy “promised”? I appreciate your doomed attempts, anyway.

My favorite squeal so far is from the person who bought Plus based on pre-E3 rumors. Welcome to the Internet. Hope you didn’t send too much money to the Nigerian prince.

  • hey is it possible if you guys can like bring back old ps2 rachet & clank games like R&C up your arsenal that was the best game to me back in 2004 ;D

  • current game collection??? 8/10 we need a driving game!!!! please!!

  • This is great, even though I already have Imposters. I’m gonna try even harder to get my friends to buy Plus cause I want more people to play Imposters with.

  • @162, well that is a constructive post. I think for anyone unclear how + now operates, your post explains it. In terms of the Vita content, my opinion is that “new content” may not be included at all- since the Vita is still a relatively new platform. However, as soon as PS1/PSP/Mini support comes on- this is likely where the Vita + support surfaces.

  • The ONLY negative I can objectively see is that people that love classics may be left out, but I don’t see any reason that a really high quality classic can’t be a part of the IGC.

  • I am completely amazed at the quality of games that are being offered as PS+ for Free. Super happy with the selection of games they are offering. Great job!! :)

  • Here’s my feedback. I prefer content to be spread out throughout the month rather than all at the beginning of the month. Having 12 games available in total at all times is a great idea, but please make sure that each available game is in a different genre. If someone doesn’t care for shooters, and you put up a bunch of shooters, then that person is going to feel like there’s nothing for them. While you most likely would not be able to cover all genres at all times, you can at lease make sure that each available game is in a different genre.

  • Thank you SONY for this great service am definitely going to renew my Plus subscription every year.

  • This update is not for my personal taste. Only “Mini” like games in my opinion.
On the other hand we should all be grateful about what you guys are doing for us, appreciate it a ton.

I have a few realistic additions for next months’ update for the Instant Game Collection:
    – Bioshock (2?) for sure!
    – Resident Evil 5 (Operatipn Racoon City, perhaps?)
    – Dead Space (2?)
    – Red Dead Redemption
    – Borderlands

    Hope you guys read this!

  • Hey Morgan, i really hope you can clarify this to me

” Morgan Haro on June 12th, 2012 at 3:34 pm said:
just download them all (or start the download) and they’re yours as long as you have a plus sub. if you haven’t redeemd the download by the time the game rotates off, then you will not be able to access it.”

Does that mean i have to start the actual download or is it ok to just add the games to my downloads list and download them later even after they’re rotated out?

    • you can download them later, even if they’ve rotated out. as long as they’re in your download list.

  • Lmao, MOST of you guys give playstation owners a bad name.. the amount of savings you get in 1 or 2 months basically pays for your subscription, hundreds of dollars worth of FREE content each year, I don’t see the OTHER systems doing anything that compares..

  • xXPaNDa_BUDDYXx

So r all of those games free with PS plus or just the three shown above?¿

  • OH HELL NO.

THIS IS NOT FAIR. I AM NOT RENEWING PLUS. Half of those games are FROM LAST MONTH and this is not going to fly. Sony lost my respect for suckering me.

  • I already own Pacman and Renegade Ops. Both are incredibly awesome games worth every penny of their regular prices, and I enjoyed the hell out of them, so it’s kinda mind-blowing for me to see them both free at the same time. Everyone should get them =D

I’m not interested in the other game, so it doesn’t seem that I will get a lot from PS+ in July, but oh well, there’s the possibility of some interesting discounts halfway through the month, and then there’s August after that. And there’s the summer sale, of course.

For me, PS+ is worth the $50 a year, even if I don’t get the uber-awesome deals/free games every single month.

  • softballplayer14

I bought the three month subscription last month because I wanted to try out Plus and I was so excited about the big game releases like infamous 2 and little big planet. However, I was disappointed with Lara Croft and Warhammer; they just weren’t my thing I guess. Anyways, I’ll give this months games a try and check out August’s but it seems to be going downhill. I’d love more blockbusters like maybe a GTA game or something really big. I’m sure it’s hard to get onto the store for free but if the games are all small or old I probably won’t bother to renew my subscription.

  • @181 xXPaNDa_BUDDYXx
All 12 games are free, the three games above are replacing three from last month.

  • I would rather have more of a steady feed of content arriving throughout the month. There’s nothing more disappointing than when Tuesday comes around and there isn’t anything in PSPlus. I know that the content is coming, but I’d like to enjoy something while I wait. But thanks, I’m not complaining, I’m just giving feedback to your question. God Bless.

  • Those that feel ripped off somehow because the games are still available, keep in mind you’ve been able to play the games for a month. The stuff people think of to gripe about is unreal sometimes.

  • Certainly can’t complain about the current or upcoming slot of games. I have only played 2 of the ones posted a month ago.
Would definitely give a ‘9’, the only thing I haven’t seen in a while is a demo for an upcoming game. I haven’t played a demo in ages! I understand the value of multiplayer ones, but the singleplayer demos are always a great hook to buy the whole game.

  • Makes me want to try ps+

  • @Astro

hit the download button to confirm that it’s in your Download list. From there it’ll always be in your Download list forever. If you plus runs out it won’t be there. but it will re-appear once you renew.

  • I just want make a suggestion, I am still Play station Plus as you see, and I am a PS3 and PS VITA owner, but recently my ps3 quit working, was somewhat old, so no warranty or anything left on it, but anyway what I am getting at is that it may be a bit before I get a new ps3, now I can’t access to view the ps plus content on my vita to add to my cart for later download when I get my console so I can play these games when I get my new PS3, so I guess I would like to suggest that the free games get automatically added to the download list every person is is a PS Plus member at the time that they are available on the store since you can play them as long as your are a plus member even if they are not listed as free no more on there they are always able to be redownloaded and play as long as you are subscribed, and I love PS Plus and I will always be subscribed to it, and I am not complaining but I think that it is a good suggestion to do for unfortunate happenings that prevent you from getting those free games why you are a PS Plus member, I am not angry or anything, but does anyone else like this idea?

  • Any plans to add strangers wrath next month or so?

  • I am hoping soon we will get Shatter free through plus I have been wanting to play this game forever.

  • The Summer Sale page on the main site says Gotham City Imposters will only be free for one week. Is that a typo?

I rate this update a 7 out of 10. Some months before June had more to offer than this month. All 3 games are great games though.

I prefer the free games all come at once. Lots of games at once gets more publicity than 1 or 2 games every few weeks.

  • Thanks ReptileHand, i do that already with everything on the store.

Its just what Morgan said in the quote about starting the download because in another reply he said “simply start the download and cancel it. as long as the Store recognizes that you’ve started the download” thats whats confusing me a little bit.

  • Shame, anything I’d want I already have.

Instant game collection is cool for people that don’t already have this stuff, but for me, this month is completely worthless, and makes PSN+ feel like a waste of money.

I really miss the old PSN+

  • @192 its on the european store for PS+ already.

  • can we have Motorstorm Apocalypse for plus

  • Nothing for me this month. I thought PS+ was a way to reward loyal Playstation owners. If you got your ps3 early you already played/owned these games.

  • I really hope the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow DLC will be going on sale soon. The European store got them on sale last month!
