Today, we can tell you the remaster of three original PS2 Ratchet & Clank games will be available at retailers and via PlayStation Network on August 28th for $29.99!
The Collection features 1080p HD remasters of three PS2 Ratchet & Clank classics: Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. In addition, these three games have Trophy and 3D support (in 720p), and the fine folks over at Idol Minds have restored online play to Up Your Arsenal. At last, those who missed out on competitive R&C gameplay during the PS2 Network Adapter era can finally check it out!

This is very nice news, my two favorites ratchet games are “up your arsenal” and ” deadlocked”. It has so much replay value and now remastered in HD plus trophies and online mode makes it even better to get this HD collections, but too bad deadlocked isn’t in the package. Hope it gets available soon :-).
Love that its coming, but the suprize is a bit disappointing, 2 months for an avatar and a demo that will prob be on PSN a few weeks later…really? Also you kinda picked a sketchy date to release, Guild Wars 2 releases same day so my copy of R&C is probably going to sit on standby for a while.
Oh and just to counter those claiming that our generation is entitled, we didn’t demand compensation for a belated release, it was offered. $30 is a steal for this collection but that isnt the special suprise we have to wait 2 months for, the demo and avatar are, and thats what I, and others like me, are basing our complaints on.
Maybe I should buy this to see how Ratchet and Clank came to be, and looking forward to Sly 4!

Yesssssssssssss!!!!!! I was so happy when I first heard they were going remaster the first three games in HD. Then a week later I heard there was the Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time demo in it I almost exploded. SCORE!!!

You’re entitled to your opinion, but you seem to be the minority. I’ve played every ratchet & clank game in order of release (excluding Secret Agent Clank, and All 4 One), and Deadlocked is among the best, in my opinion.
How do you play the Sly 4 demo when you purchase it online?
i am glad that the collection is making its way to the us, but where is deadlocked? please put that on the store since it isnt in the collection. or release that with another r&c collection in the future. any word if these will be crossplay/remote playable on the vita?
I have already finished the entire 5 GOW Games (can’t wait for Ascension) and the 3 inFamous games, i think i will pick up the Ratchet series.
