Great news, I haven’t purchased The Walking Dead episodes yet and this is superb news.

I had been PS+ member since it was first introduced and while I haven’t taken all the advantages it offers, I can safely say my money had been well spent.

By the looks of things, I will continue subscribing. Job well done. If I had one complaint, it would be regarding the announcements. It would be good to know in a more simpler way what PS+ offers in week and month to come.

Right now, PSN is convoluted with too many things and little more similer organization would go a long way.

As an example, European PSN is not perfect but I never had issues looking for latest Videos, Demos vs old one. It’s more structured and organized. Other then that continue the great job on delivering great PS+ content. ;)

This is totally unfair to those who purchased the Walking Dead season pass,I want a refund,at least a partial refund for 2 episodes I paid for.
First you gave away all the Back to the Future episodes to those who were PSPlus members after many paid for them,now this..well I for one will never buy another Telltale game seeing you wind up giving them away.

I have a slight suggestion for next years PS PLAY Summer Sale, if there is one. I think the big guys in charge should have a separate PS PLAY VITA sale. I like the idea of Sound Shapes, cause it is on both, but it is only one of four. And having four games on both does sound nice, but it may limit your final selection to those requirements. So I believe you guys/gals should consider a nice savings sale for each come Next Summer. Love ya guys! Keep at it!

I must admit it is quite disappoint that the free game is a game that sold over 1,000,000 copies in the first two weeks of its release. You make me wonder if your paying royalties for every Playstation Plus game that is downloaded, so you intentionally grab great titles that have a low download chance since so many people already own it.

Or maybe even just the game and then give a massive discount for all the dlc for plus users, that might give the publisher a little incentive to work with you on it by giving them some extra dlc sales :)

If anyone is disappointed they have not gotten into the LBP Karting Beta, get yourselves a UK alt acct, and simply download it from the UK Store. It’s available to everyone, not just Plus members.
Just go to the Playstation Plus section. It’s there under ‘Exclusives’.

Walking Dead, ep. 1-2, WOW! Thanks so much for giving us a game that was high on my interest list!

Can’t believe all the complaints I’m reading. I personally don’t expect every free game to be something I’m really interested in, but when it hits so perfectly like this — AWESOMESAUCE! I just hope there’s no problem buying a WD bundle down the road if the others aren’t offered for free and we already have the first two episodes, as some have expressed.

i dont like the walking dead game, ill just download them for the trophies but i hate telltale games and these wont stay a lot time in my ps3, disapointed with these games but we’ll see what comes the 13th, i want FULL PS3 games, not psn games especially since this month rotates the ps3 full games for ps plus

@GRIDLOC: My bad I miss understood what you were talking about. You meant for when you sign up or renew Plus. They did give away the Jurrasic Park game, to keep, for renewing like a year ago. It would be nice to see more deals like this to get new people signed up or for us members to renew.

Ok, let’s be honest here. For those of us who already paid for the whole season as PS+ members should be reimbursed for those 2 episodes. The game is only 2 months old obviously. To make this free now just seems like a cop out for the members who have’nt purchased the game. Those of us that have just get screwed in the wallet. Sorry, but in these tough times, $10 bucks is $10 bucks. Thanks for nothing.

Im sure if it was a game you didnt have it would be a great update.So sick of people crying about what there getting free because they already have it.Dont buy anything then if your worried about it going free or on sale in a few months or just dont buy the game right away.I paid 600 bucks for my original console so sony should send me 350 bucks because of the price drop even though my system is superior to a new one.By the way what happened to Retro City Rampage?

You can see EXACTLY when your PS+ subscription is going to expire by going into your account services on your PS3. It is right in front of your face.

So instead of acting like a complete idiot and complaining about something that just makes you look like an utter fool, why dont you bother to check that stuff yourself and use the brain you were hopefully born with.

And as for the rest, Sony cannot read your minds as to what games you want or dont want, or like or dont like. Some will be happy, some will not. Those that have already paid for the Walking Dead season pass…Sony likely did not know that this game was going to be offered on PS+ at the time, or could not announce it due to license or legal issues. And if they had announced it, then NO ONE would have bought it and instead waited on the PS+ availability, and while PS+ is cool and all, it isnt meant to replace people actually PURCHASING GAMES!

The sooner some of you people figure that out, the better off we will all be.

Its not surprising that PS Plus would do this to us, and from what I learned about this program is to NEVER buy anything “Seasoned” or “Packaged” related cause it will be on PS Plus shortly.

Or as from my point of view I learned not to buy a single thing from the PS Store anymore cause of PS Plus.

There is plenty of good choices to pick for the monthly game, but we got this instead. Oh well I don’t think Morgan will have anything surprising to announce anymore for this month anyways.

Guess I’ll see you guys in September.

@168 – If you’re hard up and care so much about $10 then you probably shouldn’t be making impulsive Day 1 (or near) purchases knowing that all releases go on sale a few months after launch. WD’s had delays so it makes sense they’d do this sooner and have PS+ keep people interested. It’ll also boost sales of future WD releases, since people like me, who’ve never bought an episode, are more likely to once they get hooked on 1 + 2.

I understand that people get somewhat frustrated about a sale going live right after they paid full price for something. But, to be honest, it seems to be exactly the same with any other thing you can buy. Prices drop, sales are made, and most of the time you don’t even know when or how those sales are going to be.

There seems to be a sweet spot where you must be to get the most out of PS+, and fortunately I think that I’m close to it. Nowadays I don’t buy games day one unless I am going to play them right away. I bought Dyad the day it came out, even though I’m pretty sure that it can be half-off or even free in the near future. But I spent the money because I was really interested to play it ASAP, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot.

But for me to buy a game to put it on my backlog, it must have a big discount (50%, at least), and even then I would analyze if I’m certain that I am going to play that game, or if I would prefer to buy it later, event at full price, when I have the time to play it.

It all depends on the savings I can get, vs the interest that I have in a particular game.

i would like to see sony get it together, i mean seriously i don’t expect miracles over night but its been march april may june and now july thats half a friggin year and still no psone for the vita, i seriously am losing steam in the gaming industry these days, and a good ps plus deal would have been to get dawnguard early but noooooooooooo.

Ugh last month for Plus was extremely weak, I thought this month would be better but only 2 episodes to an unfinished season of a not so good game. I’m starting to think Plus didn’t upgrade at all, you guys had that big show at e3, and it’s like you were just tricking people into subsciptions, what happend to the blu-ray games?

And what happend to the beta we’re supposed to be getting?

Greetings Mr. Haro:

As usual this month’s update is great, I can’t wait to play both episodes of The Walking Dead, however I see a problem that hopefully you will deliver it to the higher ups for them to consider, why don’t the digital version of full PS3 games come with a manual? I mean digital games based on retail versions, games like inFAMOUS 2, Sly, Warhammer 40k , and others. I suggest that you include the full games with the same manual that comes with the retail version so that gamers who buy full games through PSN won’t be feeling left out.

I really do hope that you read this message and you will be looking into this matter.

Once again just like Infamous 2 a week before E3 I buy the bundle and it ends up free for us that are plus members on our main psn accounts. Then I buy both of the games of walking dead already ages ago and now they both are free on plus? Like I have said before to people. If you are a plus member do not and I repeat do NOT ever buy another psn game again. It always screws up over and they know exactly what they are doing. Its done on purpose. Those of us stiffed the bill pays for you that wait and then we payed for you all to get it free. Its always the trick to sucker us in a few weeks to buy the games they will end up offering for free and they are well aware of that. So as of this moment I will no longer buy anything on psn cause this is the 4th time I have been screwed out of money I could’ve saved. I will always keep plus cause of the cloud storage on locked save data I’m forced to keep plus for to back those saves up. So saying I get to keep the game I bought means nothing if I’m going to keep plus always.

@Erlaxis most retail stores will let you return it for the reduced price within 30 days of purchase. I you find it cheaper elsewhere or the store you bought it from has a sale within 30 days of you buying it they’ll give you some of your money back. Look up a stores ToS. I know Staples, Best Buy and Future Shop all have this policy.

At ebgames if you don’t enjoy your used game within 1 week you can return it no questions asked as long as you keep the receipt of course

You guys really have to change this system around to be fair across the board for all plus members. I mean if we are to wait months on in for the next release list of free games offered to a membership that we are paying for to get free games and then say we bought all the free games before the list updates and then what? We are paying for free games we already bought and their was no reason to have a membership while the lucky ones that never bought the games get the deal and us others that payed for the games get shafted with NOTHING for our membership. I have said it before. You guys need to set a system in place for plus members that the psn system can tell what games we have and don’t have and give us a option of multiple choice of free games to pick from that is NOT in our download list that is the same value than the free games on the original free list I mean its only fair otherwise we are getting ripped off for being loyal plus members and buying early. We are paying extra money for the game and a membership on top of the game we should’ve got for free anyways. See what I’m saying!

I mean sony has me backed into the wall. I could say screw plus and stop paying for it and never have to worry about getting shafted out of money by buying the games offered for free weeks later. But if I do that then I’m in another backed corner cause of locked to console save data that only can be backed up with a plus membership otherwise if my ps3 blows up lol, I lose my save data. I mean I’m forced to keep getting ripped off or keep plus and never buy a single game on psn again and hope in the lucky stars the games become free. What a great service huh sony. Thanks for backing me in the wall on my choices.

How about this sony. How about making cloud storage available by itself for 8 bucks for 3 months and 25 bucks for a year and that way I am not screwed out of free games as in I can just buy them and I’m not screwed out of my locked save data by just being a cloud storage member. If cloud storage was offered by itself I would never need the plus membership.

This is really stupid really, I paid for them already. They could have waited a bit longer before doing this, at least then feel less screwed. I may not renew PS+ next time.
