  • Oh god…If Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 happens to be a FGT this week, then….it’ll be my Record of Agarest War 2 FGT experience all over again. And we all know how well THAT went…

  • Oh, and haven’t you guys (as in, you whiners) ever heard of these things called “surprises”? No? Well, we might just see some, that aren’t mentioned here in this post, this Tuesday.

And also, JRPGs being posted on PSN = nice! Making them free for PS+ = awesome!

But I know that’s not going to be happening anytime soon…

  • Still no GTA3? =(

  • Just want to report that CaptainJames99 is a hacker, POSSIBLE alt. account of massimodo and a couple others. The hater crew who commonly attack people who like Sony and call them members of the “Sony Defense Force”. So, I guess these guys are the Bitter And Angry At The Whole World Force… little brats who exact revenge on people who pose no threat to them through anonymous security breaches, like only cowards would.

I know for sure because Captain Lames screwed up by mentioning a little too much in a blog post. He inadvertently mentioned some of my internet activity I had logged through the PS3’s browser. Obviously, the only way to see that would be if he gained access to my console. Not to mention, ever since I told him off, my PS3 has been acting strange during gameplay, and glitches are occurring in games that have never occurred before (based on glitch databases of specific games). Therefore, they are not glitches, and in fact are deliberate alterations of data to corrupt game saves.

  • Wow i expected better who is in charge of releasing these games geez always some stuff people don’t want.

  • Sony still my number one tho

  • Lol… Is SONY dying? This is been long months of no good content. where are the 3 delayed classics? Killzone PS2, GTA 3 PS2 and Mickey Mania PSone are delayed, and killzone was delayed long ago, MM was delayed 2 months ago and GTA 3 was delayed last week. So um… Hello?

  • Id like to report user: Vivi5151 for sending me a chain message saying: “You have one $100 playstation credit. To claim your gift you must send this to 25 users.”

Can you do something? i replied back and he kept sending messages AGAIN. I blocked him. Can you please ban him?

  • Btw newsflash: NOBODY wants minis anymore.

And please have GOOD content for PSplus, or im NOT renewing in september.

  • I’ve been waiting for Sound Shapes since before Vita came out. I’m definitely picking that up this week!

  • I’m still bummed over GTA III :(
good drop though, not sure why everybody is complaining, I mean this isn’t the largest selection i’ve seen in life.. but there are a few anticipated titles here. also, I agree with @ccrogers, I think it’s safe to say nobody wants minis anymore, lol

  • Rainbow Moon demo?

  • So is Sound Shapes digital-only?

  • I like minis sometimes. ccrogers does NOT speak for everyone. They just have to be quality titles, like The Impossible Game for example. A lot of minis are crappy, but there’s a lot of gems too.

And how quickly you have forgotten all of the Plus users who have complained that they HAVEN’T GOTTEN any free minis lately… ever since the Instant Game Collection began…

  • @ccrogers15

    “Good” content, like…?

  • @TJoeb123

Good QUALITY titles. EU got Dead Space 2 and a few other AAA games this week for Plus. We get Walking dead. Ugh…

  • Ummmm. That actually scared me. That video looked like something you find on Nickoloden ha ha ha. They can’t be serious. I bought a $250 vita for games like this? I knew I shouldn’t have trusted Sony.

  • #15
yeah, and it was really good. i still cant beat that game, the cpu cheats alot.

  • So with this we also finally be getting MGS4 avatars?, SAY YES.

  • There are a lot more comments here than this week’s “The Drop” deserves. Is it just me or has the content drops decreased since adding the Vita to the list of droppable platforms? There should be more stuff to announce than this.

  • Now dont get me wrong seeing Persona Area, Sound Shape, Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2, and heck even King Of fighters is nice, but where is the portable content? I understand Sound Shape is for Vita as well, but i mean real portable content, like only on Vita, or psp titles that we still dont have, or heck even when Ps1 support is coming. I just dont see why Sony cant support this system as they do with the Ps3, is it that hard?

  • OMG! Show some respect PS Vita’s owners dropping 1 awesome game a week at least. You know, I’ve been waiting for PS one Classics in the beginning of this summer and what have I got? Nothing. Summer is time when everyone has more free time and every person who reads it is waiting for anything playable. I understand not everything depends on you, but you could make a business-plan and every Vita’s owner would appreciate it.

  • So much hype for Sound Shapes, I’ve heard awful reviews from those who have tried it, and imo it just looks like a flash game I’d normally find for free. Tony Hawk Proskater HD would’ve been cool, since xbox already has it as well. lame update………..

  • Sound Shapes seems cool I guess…but the VITA needs more LOVE! I wish they can ask some developers to port some PSN games over to the VITA (Castle Crashers, Scot Pilgrim, DeathSpank, Shank, etc. to name a few…) One thing for sure the VITA needs a Re-VITAlization…be it the PSone FW Update, to keep people at bay, or start pumping out more quality software, fast.

  • Also what about a Ragnorok Odyssey DEMO???

  • Geez. what a bunch of whiners. GIMME, GIMME, GIMME!!!! That’s all I hear from you guys. Sure the selection of games hasn’t been that great, but lighten up. Sony can’t please everyone.

  • @ Remmy8199

it has nothing to do with pleasing everyone its actually showing support for their own system. Of course people want more are you telling me when you buy a system you only get 1-3 games and call it a day? im sorry but at least for me when i buy a game system i want a lot of games.

Are you basically telling me you are ok with these these low update, zero content support? must suck if 2-3 years down the line and this is still happening to the Vita all because of people like you who are basically telling Sony its ok to disrespect not only the consumers that buy your product, but the product/system itself.

  • Wen will you please start posting the prices for content?

I would like to know when i am reading about items i would like how much they are going to be.

  • Wow pretty short list, but I’m good with Sounds Shapes, already pre-ordered!

  • I looked forward to seeing which games from this rich, full-bodied list will be delayed indefinitely come the Store Update.

  • PSBlog’s & Rey’s “The Drop” is the best interwebs read I look forward too on Sundays! Woot! Woot! :P

  • You guys always have something to complain about. I don’t get why people are saying nobody will like this stuff. I already own Mk2 on disc or I would probably pick that up. The main reason I came to check the blog is because I am awaiting my Sound Shapes pre-order! The game looks amazing, and the ability to play it on both my Sony systems sounds great. Looking forward to this innovative title, I don’t think Tuesday can come any faster.

  • let the CRYING CHILDREN BEGIN!

  • @82 your really late for the crying children.

@66 Sound Shapes is amazing dont compare it to Nick channel. because the game isnt some corny live action show -_-

  • Hell yeah! Can’t wait for Persona 4: Arena! There needs to be avatars of the Persona 4 cast!

  • I’m a new Plus member…came in for July, but the past few weeks and this month seem very lackluster. Europe gets Darksiders, Deus Ex, AND Dead Space 2? Please at least give us Darksiders! If we get that, it’ll give me more of an incentive to buy Darksiders II!

  • Obligatory post asking for a JRPG that nobody in North America has ever heard of to come over here, ps1 classics to import for ps vita, and a complaint about ps plus content in the wrong thread.

  • @SeanStrange: Totally agree! I need a Chie avatar already!

  • Can’t wait for Sound Shapes!

  • Here’s hoping Persona 4 Arena will get as much, if not more love as when it was released in Japan~

  • And Backlog it is.

I don’t blame R3y nor Sony for this. But publishers really need to see that there are other months then November and March to release games.

  • Remmy8199,

Shut your mouth. Were ticked off because were sick and tired of sony cheating and lying to us.

    LIES:

    1. PSvita PSone classic support
    2. Full PSplus games, 10 NEW per week starting may. (Same content since, with very little new, and the new is underrated bullcrap games by noob devs)

My bro got rid of his vita last week because there was NOTHING to play. It embarasses me that IM the one who recommended sony products to him. He bought a Sony Vaio last year and it always was slow and crashes, he had a sony walkman a few years ago and it was bad, and now a vita that had nothing to play. COME ON!

  • I would like,Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2 to be added to psn too. Would be nice to celebrate Metal Gear with.

  • New games will be introduced all the time, so you’ll never run out of awesome titles to play! this is directly from a post from sony, so whats the hold up? went from getting 4-5 games a month to like nothing.

  • I won’t really complain much about the lack of new releases because it’s nothing new to summer. Summer is always like this. Not sure why it is, but I’ll just leave it at that and not even question it.

However that does make it a good time to at the very least try a little harder to push out games that already exist from previous generations (PSOne and PS2 classics) and get them out in higher quantity. There are still a TON of PS2 classics to dig into and even a good chunk of PSOne games that can be tapped into. I do understand that for some games it’s not a simple task due to expired pub licenses and music rights amongst other variables, but I do seriously doubt that out of thousands of games that they are incapable of getting something worthwhile out that isn’t flippin’ Spongebob Squarepants the game. I don’t even want to know how they decided that game was a classic to begin with.

Anyway, my point is that during times where new releases are very few, I think efforts should be a little more focused elsewhere.

  • @86 (Bigcalv2002)

Oh boy. So many things wrong with that.

    1. Just because a JRPG that “nobody has ever heard of” comes out on PSN, doesn’t mean you can assume that nobody likes it or even has heard of it. I, for one, LOVE JRPGs (and not just for the chicks, either) because they have that special charm (to me, anyway) that Western games don’t have.

And yes, depending on the price, and whether it’ll be free on PS+ (as well as both Records of Agarest War), I’ll be picking it up.

    2. While I agree that Sony is taking way too long to develop the emulator, Sony needs to at least give an update on its progress, so the whiners can cool off. (And I admit I’m one of them on this matter.)

    3. We deserve to know at least SOME of the little PS+ content that comes out this week. Like, will Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 be a Full Game Trial? How about any major Game Add-Ons?

  • Seriously sony whats going on with your america branch? Why does EU get better games, and better PS+ stuff ? How does 2 just ok games (which technically makes up one game after its completed) like the walking dead compare to games like dead space 2? Or Deus EX- sigh, so is anyone but me thinking there should be a one month PS+ membership ? Maybe that would push sony to consecutively push out GOOD content every month, ive always been a bit of a sony fanboy but suddenly i feel like warming up my xbox to play the new xpansion for skyrim – wheres THAT ANYWAY?

  • Really looking forward to Sound Shapes tomorrow! Already got it preordered! I’m hoping PSN updates at 12 again this week, so I can maybe squeeze some Sound Shapes in on my Vita during lunch!

  • and as far as GTA3 goes u can thank the music companies for that delay, due to rockstar forgetting to license music.

  • @moonlance
i agree, i wonder if we will ever see persona 4 on PSN?
hmm wonder how long till persona 5?
