@ angelspawn77 ROW #86 I purchased the GOW SAGA Today and it comes with 2 disc. GOW 1&2 are on one disc and GOW 3 is on the disc. Plus the voucher for Origins. Go figure?

I am confused, on the PSN it says that the R and C collection is 10% off and available for download. However, the psn store on the PS3 has the three titles separate for $15 a piece. What gives? Shouldnt they be all together?

I own all but the Ratchet & Clank games already. I never played those. This looks an awesome way to enjoy these titles for the first time. Great collections ! I am definitely a fan of them. Improved graphics and trophy support help make already good games even better. Keep them coming and I’ll keep buying.

SWEEEEEET!!!!! I’m getting the Ratchet & Clank Collection. I have all 3 of the R&C PS2 games and beat them all, once I get that collection I’ll beat them again and gett all the trophies (just like the Sly collection). Heheheheheheeee ;)

Also, I am someone who loves the addition of 3D. Gaming on my 3D TV is one of my favorite uses for it and one of the reasons PS3 is my platform of choice.

I am incredibly disappointed by the digital delay. You’re telling me I have to wait a month for these awesome collections just because I need the downloadable versions?

Once again, my gaming cash is forced to go unspent for no apparent reason. Do you have something against my money, Sony? I swear, it’s worth the same as everyone else’s.

I really like that you released these bundles but the only reason I got the GOW Saga was cause I thought that Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus came in a disc too, not a download voucher like it is. I’m not as excited as I was before. But, I already got it, so let’s not dwell in the past.

Anyone know.. If it’s possible to redeem the God of War Origins Voucher on the PS Vita, since both Chain of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta are on the Vita Store as PSP downloads. Thank you!

Well I normally wouldn’t even buy GOD of War SAGA here. It does seem like a good offer. So that is a little tempting alone.

But theres one small problem here. OK these games are SONY games. OK i bought last year the Tomb Raider Trilogy set. It was put out by other company and it included two Playstation Home Avatars! From the game disc itself and these are not even a SONY Product and it had Home Rewards. And thats the only reason I even bought it.

Well saying that since God of War Saga is a SONY product they could or should of added some Playstation Home avatar costumes on the game disc like Tomb Raider did. But this is SAD Day when even SONY Games like God Of War Saga don’t Support Playstation Home at all. It’s Like even SONY these days aren’t Supporting Home.

If this God of War SAGA came with HOME Rewards i be all over this game for those Rewards alone. But seeing that even SONY didn’t give this HOME Rewards just shows they don’t support Home themselves!

A Sad Day it is.

Nuff Said!

So glad we were told by James Stevenson in an earlier blog post that RnC Collection would be available via both retail *and* digital distribution today, and now that the day has come, things have of course quite conveniently changed without so much as a peep of a warning. So glad that I’ve waited impatiently for today for months, rushed home after work, leaped on the couch and fired up PSN to spend the money I’ve saved… only to find that I’ve been essentially lied to. Way to really rain on a guy’s parade, Sony/Insomniac. I mean, seriously, do your execs even give half of a d that we are constantly being told one thing and then offered another? And to add insult to injury, I have to dig around the web to finally find and read through this post to learn the truth, where the matter is summarized and dismissed with an ‘unfortunately, that’s no longer the case.’

PhantomS2K said:

I mean, for crying out loud, Sony… I get timlier and more honest information out of my teenage son. I miss the Sony of 10 years ago, which was way less apt to pull this kind of crap. Thank you kindly for the deceptive cover-up on what was supposed to be the best day to come along in some time. Guess I’ll keep that money. Sure hope you guys aren’t planning on offering multiple skus for PS4 with bigger hard drives, because after being treated like a second rate gamer for wanting to buy my stuff digitally, I’m surely not going to be spending out for higher storage capacity systems in the future.

At $30 for all three games is a good deal, But having to get them off of the psn store for $14.99 EACH is total BS. The users who enjoy buying the digital content, as well as working late and missing the closing time of retail stores, you would have thought that buying online would be comparable in price. Nope think again, online does get them bundled but on september 25th. GEE thanks alot $45 for three games and no art work or $30 for three games plus the art work as well as a demo for the new Sly cooper game. Hmm am I an idiot or what, guess this is a no brainer. By the way north america had to wait a couple extra months for this and not anything 10th anniversary for R&C?

elchorno said:

@121 The Ratchet & Clank Collection includes a digital manual that installs to your HDD. Under the game bubble when the disc is in on the XMB you’ll see an install bubble for the manual.

Some of the games in the GOW Saga are offered by a PSN voucher. Will those PSN versions be playable on the VITA?

August 28th, 10:01 pm

i see none of the collections available… my guess is with the ratchet and clank its just to bleed some more money outa the consumer.. there $15 each or you could go to the store and get all 3 for $30… that makes alot of sense rip off the people who download stuff.. main reason im against this crap… well hope when it is released theres a discount that better be big

Surprised Sony didn’t do big advertisement as well for the Journey Collector’s Edition since it also came out on the 28th with GOW, R&C, and Infamous. Poor Journey gets no big advertisement love with this post. :(

But anyways, everyone should pick it up. Don’t miss it.

Per Amazon site:

Product Features
Includes three full games: Journey, Flower, and flOw
Bonus content includes the original soundtrack for all three games, three exclusive mini-games from thatgamecompany, a 30-minute documentary about Journey, Creator Commentary play-throughs of all three games, exclusive Journey PSN avatars and much more
Also includes a 1-month subscription to PlayStation Plus

GMFCO311 said:

Hey Sony just FYI: You might want to clarify on you Collection game post’s, which games include the vouchers. LOTS of people on the video game forums on Amazon kinda upset about it as it’s not stated on the Amazon site either. Some people prefer to have all games on discs physical form rather than a DLC voucher code.

Ryumoau said:

Guys, can you please tell us what the Exclusive Bonus Content in GoW Saga is? I own GoW Collection, Origins and III all in blu-ray, I need to know if the Bonus Content is worth my money…

Appreciate your earlier reply Cristian.

Would Idol Minds or Sony be responsible for a potential patch?

Logical_Dolphin said:

It is quite unfortunate that the GOW Saga, states on the back of the box that GOW 3 has 3D support, which apparently is not true.

This is only going to result in confused and disappointed customers, that may think that this collection has a new version of GOW 3…

Hi, anyone can helps me? I bought GoW Saga on 28 August. The Gow Origin collection (Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta) need to be download to ps3 and play by using promotional codes that have been given inside GoW Saga. When i entered the promotional codes, it says : ” the codes you entered may be not correct or valid. ”
As I know my GoW Saga is R1 but i am an asian should be R3. How get a R3 promotional codes or other ways to download Gow Origin collection (Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta)
*It is a big loss that i can’t download Gow Origin collection (Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta)*

Love the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection. Playing the first R&C lately and its a blast. Plus the graphics look better than ever. Can’t wait to see how the other two look.

Also, really enjoyed the Sly Cooper demo. It was very short, but wow. The graphics were amazing & the gameplay was fun. Gotta keep my eye on that game!

And of course I really like the free avatar. :)

August 31st, 1:34 pm

Having great fun with the R&C collection, noticed some missing textures though in Going Commando. Is there going to be a patch?

Also, does Insomniac still own the rights to the original spyro games? If so, is there any possibility of ever seeing an HD version of the original Spyro games. They were terrific, and it would be a great way to introduce the classic character to the newer generation of gamers, since the only other way they have most likely seen him is (ick) Skylanders.
