  • You should give back the 5 downloads quantity amount for each bought title… 2 is a joke.

  • Since you like putting all these old games that most people either own or have played before on PS Plus for free… If I may make a suggestion, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune please.

Thanks for the update, looking forward to The Walking Dead Episode 3.

  • @ dodgedoors

I think you misunderstand what PAX is about. Sony in the 7 years I have gone to PAX Prime has never announced anything. It’s not a media event it is a people’s event.

  • @248
    I’m with you there!!

  • Do you guys know if Legend of Legaia will ever come to PSN? It was the very first RPG I ever played (hated the idea of them up until that point). I don’t know how difficult it would be to arrange it, but if you guys could at least look into it, I would appreciate it. Thanks

  • Why aren’t we getting the other Walking Dead episodes for free as well? If you factor in the price of having to pay for the other three episodes (at $4.99 each, then the total cost for PSN+ members to own the series is about $15). Regular users can buy the set for $20, which gives them all five episodes, thus saving plus members only $5. Seems like kind of a bum deal if you ask me….

  • Any word on an Uncharted collection? I’m interested in the series but can’t see myself buying them seperately.

  • Ape Escape for PS1 classics would be amazing too. Both would be day one purchases for me.

  • @254

Unfortunately, it doesn’t even work that way. If you buy episodes 3-5 and you let your sub to PS+ expire you WILL be locked out of the whole game!

+ Kristine Steimer on August 28th, 2012 at 4:44 pm said:

    Hey there,

Because of the way Walking Dead episodes are structured, it’s true that if your subscription runs out you won’t be able to access later episodes of the game, even if you paid for them. Wanted you to be aware before you purchased them.

When I signed up for PS+ I had the understanding that if you paid something for a game featured for + users you got to keep it. Didn’t anyone see this coming with TWD ep 1 & 2 deal? I know that each episode is looked upon as DLC (and you don’t get to keep a + game if you buy DLC and your sub expires) but in reality it is all part of the same game.

I love my PS3, but I can’t stand the way they keep dropping the ball on so many things like TWD for PS+, the US+ vs EU+, MGS pricing, Ratchet and Clank collection just to name a few its impossible to defend them and say they are trying to do their best.

  • For over a year, I had my PS3 on custom firmware and swore I was done with PSN. Then I bought a Vita last month (not to mention a 16GB and 8GB memory card and three games for it as well). I also formatted my PS3 and decided to play it straight. Then I signed up for PSN+, which looked like a good deal, but like what’s happened with the Walking Dead series kinda stinks. They essentially enticed PSN+ members to play the first two episodes to get them hooked so they’d fork out more money for the other three episodes. Every time I start bringing money to Sony, they make me regret it a little. I understand Borderlands is a good title, as Infamous 2 was, but these extras like the Walking Dead should be a given. Don’t tease members who have already paid for a premium service just to get them to pay some more.

  • I paid a Premium price for 32 GB ($99) Vita card because Downloads were supposed to be discounted. Madden comes out and It is full price @ $39.99 what gives! I can buy the physical copy from amazon for less than PSN! Bought the FEB @ $350 so i have close to $500 tied up in this system that still doesn’t live up to launch promises. Another broken Vita promise here. The rose colored glasses have been of and are seriously tarnished.

  • Can u guys please upload more PSone games
This same week none of the games Psvita store
Has i like. Upload Castlevania: SOTN today please
i have no PS3 so i cant transfer anything.

  • SORRY TO ASK BUT WILL THE FRIEND LIST CAPATICY INCREASE ANYTIME SOON

  • Psychonauts! Awesome!!! Love them PS2 classics

  • Not to sound like neuro punk but you want to know would help to sort titles? I’ll admit the sort by system helps quite a bit but I would like the functionality to sub-folder the systems as well. For instance, by demo, ps +full game trial and full game. Though writuing writing this made some quite clear that needs to be done: filtering for PSN titles would resolve a lot of those issues!!

  • im just curious would it be possible to one day get a Mortal Kombat type theme for PS3? if so that would so cool

  • Just got in from work, and I was hoping that someone could clarify or take responsibility for the total blunder that the ps1 games release was in North America. Guess not! For all of you expecting great things to come from Sony at Pax: “Not going to happen”. The most I’ve heard all day is people wanting to know how they can get both ps3 and vita’s modded so that they can have all the benefits that goes along with it. Is there any chance we can trade SCEA for SCEE or SCEJ, or maybe just have one single Sony entertainment division, that way everyone gets treated equally.

  • This is a shame with vita support for ps1 classics vita is half baked hardware that is not ready sony should be
ashamed were is your scea management doing i will not be buying a vita anytime soon.

  • Get your act together scea gamers are not stupid we know when you are not doing a good job with vita excecution.
how can you release a hanheld this half baked peeu.

  • Not buying vita until sony gets its stuff together all u can buy it and be bots for sony.

  • Man, I love plus. I always get so much more than my $4.17/month back.

That being said, I think it’s ridiculous that there are so few PsOne classics officially supported for Vita. Are these kind of regional inconsistencies caused by publishers? Trade or IP legislation? I don’t know, but whatever it is, is making SCEA look really bad.

I’m still going to buy a Vita eventually. I only need to se more games available for it! Give me moar!

  • @ 271. Dont know where your getting your info from, but I myself own about 20 Ps1 titles and about 12 of those work so far. I saw a list of someone else that states that there are more than 70 Ps1 titles that are playable on the Vita. I think you need to do more research.

  • ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS ADD APE ESCAPE TO PSONE CLASSICS
ITS A FIRST PARTY GAME AND REALLY POPULAR AND YOU KEEP PUTTING IT OFF! JAPAN ALREADY HAD IT IN THERE PSONE CLASSICS, SO SHOULD WE!!

  • onslaughtree,

You sir are an idiot. My cousin right now has these working on his vita:

    Simcity 2000
    Spyro
    Spyro 2
    Spyro 3
    Crash
    Crash 2
    Crash 3
    Crash racing
    medievil
    Resident evil
    resident evil 2
    resident evil 3
    Silent Hill
    Tomb Raider
    Parasites Eve

and a few others. You obviously dont know the trick to add all psone classics to vita then. poor you.

  • It amazes me how many people complain after an update, and whine about not getting as much free stuff.

Seriously, Sony thanks for the wonderful update, keep up the good work. I don’t know how you guys manage to keep putting stuff out when all people do is whine and complain about wanting more and not being satisfied with what you give them.

Shame to see how many people don’t have simple manners to say, “Hey, thanks! Appreciate the hard work!” rather than “Y U NO DO THIS I ALREADY HAVE THIS GAME GIVE ME THIS ONE INSTEAD I WANT MOAR!!!11!”

Always been a fan of Sony products, and I’ll continue to be. Thanks much for these updates. :)

  • @Vocosol: Because SCEA seriously do the bare minimum and you aren’t going to gain customer loyalty and respect that way. You are going to lose customers and make them not want to buy any future products. SCEE and SCEJ have gone above and beyond to satisfy their customers while SCEA has left us with the scraps. Most people complaining actually want and HOPE that SCEA can turn it around because they don’t want to give up on Sony. However, every passing month they give us more reasons to. Give us a reason to be proud of supporting your business.

  • @274…I have a USA PSN account and I currently own Crash 1,2,3 & Crash Team Racing. After reading your post I wen back on my Vita, went to the psn store and those games are not on the download list of games, so I could not download them there. • Never knew Spelunker HD had DLC. i had that game goes knows how long, i guess i should pick it up although i havent played it in awhile, it should be fun to play it again.
As far as this Ps1 thing is going im going to have to agree with most people here, when you put in account 2 things. one they have been working on this since before the Vita was publicly announced (or at least i hope so) even then they have had too much time to work on this (even delaying it how many times) and the best they can do is only give us 9 titles, and two, that all other regions are getting most if not all titles readily available. it just shows how incompetent the US is, i mean if other regions can do a better job at it surely we can do just as good if not better.
Heck if anything the smart thing to do would at least to compensate for the long wait to give out a sale, or something to hit off that the Vita can finally play ps1 titles, and you did nothing of the sort, It just goes to show Sony has and probably never will take their portables seriously. Look at how badly they treat psp users and continue to do so with Vita users. In all honesty i dont know why i bother since i know for a fact my opinion on the matter just goes through empty ears.

I responded to your answer on post #184 yesterday….not sure if you read it. But yes, I have checked and re-checked my XMB messages and nothing. What are my options? Can someone send me a code? I still have the receipt as proof from when I bought it. Or if not, can I get a refund on the game and have it taken off my account? I know I’m being a pain, but when I purchase something I expect to get what’s advertised…

  • PSN Store Keeps Getting Better And Better And It Will Forever And Ever.

  • I’ve got a game ending bug issue with Walking Dead Ep 3. To avoid spoilers I will be as vague as I can.

On the train, in the cab, after talking to Kenny who is upset, when I leave the cab to go back to the other part of the train, the camera suddenly drops below the ground looking up ,and all I see are trees and shrubs passing by. Can’t see the train, can’t see any of the characters. I can through blind luck make my way back to the cab and randomly moving the right thumbstick manage to go back into the cab, but that’s it. No matter what I do every time I try to go the back of the train, it happens.

  • Any chance of being able to transfer PS One games from PC to Vita? I can buy them in Media Go, but the Content Manager Assistant doesn’t recognize those.

While we’re at it, how about full PSN Store access from PC? I’d like to be able to take advantage of deals on the Store even when I don’t have access to my PS3. Maybe combine Media Go and Content Manager Assistant into one app with full Store access? That would be awesome.

  • I am very pleased and excited that I bought the Ratchet and Clank Collection and thank the Playstation store for releasing it. The only problem Im having trouble trying to figure out. Since u guys said that this won’t be out in digital download until September 25th, why would u guys put the collection out early?

  • So there are videos for Vita games and they can’t be downloaded to the Vita directly? Makes me wonder if Sony ever really understands what the hell they are doing…

  • @281 i never encountered that problem. You may have to restart the entire episode. Its not that bad since its only about 2 hours.

  • Any word on the PSP hits, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank in PS Store yet? I didn’t play these games, but I would like to play these in PS Vita.

  • @onslaughtree 272

I think you should read the comments a little more carefully. I was talking about officially supported PSOne Classics for the Vita, which are very few. Nobody needs more research to know this simple fact, because it was clearly specified right here on this blog. So this very blog is where I’m getting my info from.

Now, it’s true that many more games work with the Vita, but only if you have a PS3 to transfer them, because, again, they are not officially supported.

Please, don’t ask people to do better research if you:

    1. Didn’t read the comment properly, and
    2. Didn’t do your own research in the first place.

  • With PS1 classics now on the Vita, please, please, PLEASE put Wipeout 3 on the PSN store! It’s the best game in the series.

  • @Eriaxis
Well If the games are available to be transfered from your ps3 to your Vita, then how can you not call that ” Officially Supported ” As I stated before, I think most of you guys just want to complain because you just feel like it. Fact is, many Vita gamers are very happy that they can finnaly play their ps1 titles on our Vita, sad that all games are not “Officially Supported” but this is a great start.

    (1) There are over 163 ps1 titles (Officially Supported) on psn and over 100 of them can be and are being played by gamers on their Vitas right now.

    (2) This is your quote…(Now, it’s true that many more games work with the Vita, but only if you have a PS3 to transfer them, because, again, they are not officially supported.)…Again what does that have to do with you ? It seems that you have PS+, so that means that YOU own a ps3. ..Again like I said before, your Complaining for no reason.

    (3) I did do my researcr. I OWN A VITA.

  • While I do love many of the upgrades and additions provived by the firmware update I can’t help but have one complaint.

It’s been reported by EVERYONE that Alundra would be one of the titles available for download but it wasn’t. Is there any reliable date in the future when it will be available for those of us who do not own a ps3?

For that matter is there a set schedule for psn store updates or is it at random?

  • @281 I encountered the same bug. Restarting the game seemed to fix the issue.

  • The Neo-Geo Station games for $4.49 is a good deal. I own all 16, but if they (M2/Playmore) could add trophies
and an AES/MVS switch you would see sales go way up on these.

It may not matter to some, but I know people who are not buying these until trophies are supported.
M2 recently worked Sega’s Classics series and they all support trophies so I don’t see why the Neo-Geo didn’t get the same attention being they were $8.99 each!

  • Thank-you SCEA for releasing more ps one classics. You do care. I apologize if I offended anyone.

  • Has anyone switched from US PS+ to EU PS+? Considering the weak offers of the US PS+, i’m seriously considering not renewing my soon to expire membership and subscribe to the EU PS+. Anyone knows if i’ll still be able to play the games previously downloaded via the US PS+ account?

    Cheers!

  • If I buy the 3 games of R&C now; Am I going to lose $15, or Am I going to get a refund and the Sly cooper demo on 9/25?

  • How come there hasn’t been any PSOne Classics added to the store lately? They’ve had the same selection forever. I buy more of those than I do PS3 games.

  • Edit for my last post. Not really into Metal Gear Solid, so I wasn’t counting that one.

  • Does anyone know who I can get in touch with at Sony that will actually listen to me and fix my PSN purchase that they screwed up on twice? 3 and a half weeks of waiting for something I was promised (as were others), and nobody seems to care. If this is how they treat their customers (and a plus member), then I’ll have to think twice about making PSN purchases in the future.

  • Wow, 6 months after launch and yet we dont get a decent level of games for the Vita at least give me 3 a month.

  • Hey Guys I bought the new PSN Move game Lights, Camera, Party! to play alonside my daughter but although we already got 3 trophies I can’t get them to be synched with my PSN account. Any clues?

    Thanks.
