BioShock — BioShock is a narrative-driven action experience that allows players to do the impossible as they journey through an amazing, immersive and terrifying world. Caught between powerful forces and hunted down by genetically mutated citizens, the player will come to grips with the mysterious and fascinating world of Rapture, a distinct Art Deco underwater utopia gone mad. BioShock not only challenges the players’ capacity to adapt and survive, but brings to question their values and commitment to the inhabitants of Rapture. With smart and adaptive AI, no encounter ever plays out the same, while numerous customization options provide gamers with an experience that adapts to their playing style.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 — Co-developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, Modern Warfare 3 delivers a full assault on gamers’ senses, including an intense single-player campaign that picks up immediately following the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and escalates into World War 3, as well as groundbreaking upgrades to the beloved Special Ops like the all-new Survival Mode. Special Ops serves as the perfect springboard to Modern Warfare 3’s re-imagined multiplayer, featuring the series’ trademark visceral gun-on-gun combat, a revamped pointstreak system with the introduction of “Strike Packages,” devastating new modes like “Kill Confirmed” and other gameplay enhancements, new features and a bevy of new weapons, equipment, and perks.

The House of the Dead: Overkill Extended Cut — It’s survival horror as it’s never been seen before! The House of the Dead: Overkill is a pulp-style take on the classic SEGA light-gun shooter series. The game takes place as Special Agent G — the hero of The House Of The Dead series — is given his first assignment fresh out

of the AMS academy. Teamed up with hard-boiled Detective Washington, they are sent to investigate stories of mysterious disappearances in small-town Louisiana. Little do they know what blood-soaked mutant depravity awaits them in the streets and swamps of Bayou City…

The Extended Cut of The House of the Dead: Overkill presents the game for the first time in full HD with 3D support and PlayStation Move compatibility on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. With all seven stages of the original re-mastered and two brand new scenarios added to this gruesome shooter, the ‘baddest’ just got bigger!

  • what i don’t understand is when they put this up why they don’t list everything thats coming. it’s annoying to not see whats coming for ps plus on sale or free or even if new ps2 or ps1 classics are coming till the day of release. I’m also annoyed they stopped listing when maintenance would happen.

  • Zen Pinball V2 + the Marvel 4 Pack + Plants vs. Zombie table = Pinball armed untill 2013. To anyone on the fence about the Zen series- read some reviews & watch some vids; Zen makes some amazing tables w/ the physics to back it up.

LBP for Vita’s drawing near… missed the beta, very eager to try the level editor!

  • are you serious that late omg i mean seriously why near the end of the freaking day i’m sorry that’s just not fair at all man dont they know some people work i get today off and turns out i shoulda just got the next day off seeing they would take that long to update

  • It is silly yeah but unfortuantely there isn’t much we can do about it . That’s by my time though which is Eastern… it’d be earlier in other time zones.

  • Decent week I have both us n eu accounts so I got borderlands a month ago but having fun playing dead apace 2. Zen pinball 2 great deal.

  • @105 Same.

  • xbox trollers here funny you’d think they’d have something better to do with there xbox guess not..

  • Can’t wait to play Zen Pinball on Vita!!! Thanks!

  • Y does its feel like im having deja vu? …it’s like having deja vu. these new releases seem kinda … “old”

  • Hoping for a blog post about Machinarium. Really hope it’s not exclusive for Europe :/

  • I am wondering if anyone knows as to why Need For Speed Most Wanted (ps2 classic) was taken off the psn store. I remember seeing it on there and now it isn’t. I am curious cause I wanted to buy it.

  • pretty disappointing update. I already have MW3 and i have NO interest in bioshock. I hope this is compensated with some really awesome discounts and sales today on the store.

  • @121 where can i find a psn card for the european store? It seems like they have a better Plus service than us.

  • Does anyone know if Pulse is still available and on what day?!

  • Been waiting for Modern Warfare 3 and Bioshock to make it to the store. Pretty excited. Also House of The Dead, epic. I’m hoping some more games come out soon from Sega.

  • I have to say though. I’m kind of disappointed with the PS2 Classics selection.

  • @133 yeah. So many great PS2 rpgs that haven’t been brought to psn yet.

  • Alot of crying from Grown Folks….Be grateful we get updates and free games…Thanks Sony for another week of anything….

  • @135 its not free when we are paying for Plus. We have the right to express displeasure in the games they choose to compensate our membership of their Plus service with.

  • Sony, you guys are sitting on a ps2 goldmine, so many awesome games, i don’t have exact numbers but around 2,000 games, you guys should be releasing like 20 of them a week seriously you would make so much money. I heard Xbox Durango has 16-core processor, but we don’t need ps4 just yet. Just release more games, more games and with some luck you may become the next wii ( in sales i mean). Also wii-U might start at $250 so the ps3 might have to go down in price bros

  • This week is all about Armored Kill (BF3) and free* Borderlands. No money spent this week!

  • That’s it?!?!

PSN really needs to step it up on the PS1 & PS2 releases.

  • Where’s Machinarium? :(

  • When will you update today you need consistent times on when you’ll update I really want BF3 Armored kill all other countries have it Sony step up your game

  • Ok, i usually dont open my mouth to comments
Given here but theres one that i totally have too,
Who ever the moron that said that Psvita store
Psone was updated yesterday,Psone games were
Update last week and they were a total of 26 titles
Hear me LAST WEEK not this week and if u enter
Yesterday and just notice, u dont go in the Psvita
store very much do u? we need Sony to start releasing
the good titles on the Psvita Psone section cause some
of us dont have a PS3 to transfer the titles. SO SONY PLEASE
DONT FALL SLEEP WITH THE PSONE TITLES AND KEEP RELEASING
    THEM.

  • @ Jvhellraiser14: Thanks for calling me a “moron” without even knowing me. I didn’t say the Vita store was updated yesterday. But last week when I updated to Vita 1.80, Grandia didn’t work. At some point between last week’s update and Monday 9/3, it started working. And when I originally checked the store, there were only the 9 titles available that they listed on the Blog. That is now increased. If they changed it later in the day on Tuesday, I didn’t know. I check it when it updates, not constantly. Try not to be a jerk, as it says just to the right of the comment box, okay? Thanks.

  • Digitize sleeping dogs and final fantasy XIII-2 and you’ll be my hero.

  • @145 i agree with having Sleeping Dogs on psn. But only if its reduced to $40. I’m done with final fantasy games, so i would rather they not waste their server storage space on that game.

  • @146 To each their own. Final Fantasy is an epic game/series to me and I would definitely buy it just in case something happens to my disc; its the same for me with all my games. They do need to digitize Sleeping Dogs soon though, that game was too nice. As plus members it should be $40 if not 45 but full price for non-subscribers.

  • @AizawaYuuichi
Lol overreact much? Okay I forgot to say what time zone i was in, Im sorry… and if they have started posting it earlier Im sorry for not realizing it. I was just unaware of that cuz last there was something on it i really cared about they were still waiting til late in the evening to do it.

  • Flip the switch, guys. Japan’s been updated since late last night. I know it’s a different time zone and everything but geez. They’re always pretty spot on with it.

  • i like Pinball Arcade better, given the real tables they re-create.. and the physics is spot on… the other pinball games don’t feel as accurate… cool tables though, i’ll give them credit for that…

  • Can’t wait for the Pinball Arcade update (Trophies + 2 new tables) AND ZEN Pinball 2 + Plants Vs Zombies table. It’s a great time for PINBALL!

  • See a lot of comments regarding “Why isn’t X game released as a Classic?”

Sony only has a portion of the distribution rights of any of the games released on this and older systems. While Sony will be the one to ultimately decide to put a game on the PSN, the first person to decide is the owner of the company that originally released it. Square-Enix controls the Final Fantasy releases, for example, and has refused to allow FFX as a PS2 Classic because of the impending release of FFX-HD for the PS3 and Vita.

Disney on the other hand, has thrown tons of money at Sony to get them to put games that no-one has ever played, like The Little Mermaid and Toy Story 2, as Classics.

If you want a certain game to come out, talk to the owners of the property.

(Feel free to send me angry rants if you want, you know I’m right)

  • Sorry if i offended anyone with my last comment,
Iam pretty stress out on the way Psone titles are being
Release so slow on the Psvita Store,i dont want Sony
To forget on the Psone releases one thing Sony should
Have in mind that things always come out right if u do one
Thing at a time instead of 2 at a time,u cant take other
releases if u haven’t finish the first release u start. cause
You’ll forget about it,by this time Sony should have already
Release around 60 titles on the Psvita Store. AND NO I DONT
HAVE A PS3 to transfer games like eveyone that has one is doing.
