  • This update sucks

There should be more vita content.
I didnt pay $350 to play pinball and not even a quarter of the psone classics as my pspgo.
Im trying to patiently wait…. But wtf

  • Sony I have to say that there is a lot of legitimate complaints sense vita has come out for a business that has been dwindling for several years now. From what I understand about 25% in the last 3 years.I have been with you from day one with ps1 until now.I own and still have every system you have out.Bought all on or around launch.I have over 200 games in my library now not counting downloadable games.I think I have paid enough money to say do something to show people with your system that you care about the complaints. Not for just you but gaming in general.25% is a lot.I would hate to see 50% in three more years.I enjoy gaming and do not wont to see it die.And I do not wont to see sony gaming die because they could but would not keep up with the rest of the electronic entertainment systems. Please help us as gamers so we can pay you to build gaming back up.

  • Just downloaded my first ps2 classic Persona 3 Fes, and and learned that, from the way it’s emulated, it’s stretched and partially upscaled to 720p. Thanks for the pleasant surprise!

  • @192
Ok, so just because of your anecdotal experience, other consumers should just go “Oh ok, why don’t I ask my friend!” Are you kidding me? That’s like saying “Who cares if your car is not performing to what it should, go get a ride from a friend.” For one, I don’t know anybody with a PS3 around me. I am in my early 30’s, and I really have to find time to game due to family and work obligations, but when I do, it’s a treat. So no, I am not going to waste my time looking for a PS3 from a “friend.” I also used to own a launch PS3, but I just wasn’t using it, so it went a few months ago.

The fact is, PS Vita is a standalone console, and it should function like one. It is not an accessory to the PS3. The fact that PSOne games are downloadable through PS3 and Sony is doing nothing to add them to PSN speaks volume about their marketing strategy and the way they perceive the consumers.

  • @199

glad to hear we have the same opinion about this thing….though i doubt that he/she would understand…

  • Dragon ball z avatars please!

  • So can I get a freaking reply to why Nascar 09 and Nascar 2011 isnt on psn store yet? In the freaking UK our sport of Nascar 2011 has been on sale on their store for months and the sport is here in the usa and yet its not on our psn. I do not and I REPEAT do not buy disc games and Im strictly digital and starting to really get raged. I even messaged the developer on his youtube videos that Dave guy that made Nascar 2011 and I get no reply and then blocked from commenting on his videos after my question on it. What a UK JERK. So Morgan what is their phone # so I call them directly and give that team a American piece of my mind. Try releasing the new next soccer game here in the USA only digital and not in the UK and then watch how World war 3 starts. They would riot. It makes no sense to make our USA sport of NASCAR game available digital in the UK and not here. Screw a disc copy that IS NOT a option for me.

  • If you’re going to offer a free retail game for Plus, please DO NOT make it a game everyone already owns and has finished, like Borderlands!!

  • hey anybody geting borderlands 2 i need people to play with when it comes out 9/18/12. i am lazy as hell at home all the time so can play when ever. if u want to play add me and mes me

  • And what happened to the free PSN games? Honestly I’d rather have free PSN games that free retail games. Call me crazy, but there’s a much greater chance I do not own the PSN game offered, vs the retail game offered, unless you start offering some LESS FAMOUS retail games, which would be a GREAT IDEA.

  • Please add both Final Fantasy I and II (the Anniversary Editions) and make it compatible for the Vita.

  • PEACE WALKER on PSVITA STORE!!!!…damn….not everyone owns a ps3…FFS

  • How good is Assassins Creed3 gonna be right! I JUST CANT WAIT FOR IT TO COME OUT ON THE 30 OF OCTOBER!!!!

  • Not gonna lie, have NEVER played borderlands, so am VERY happy to see this update (unlike alot of other complainers who want magical new releases for free). But I’m gonna have to agree with ALOT of other people that I was hoping for Red Dead Redemption instead, and at least hope its coming in the near future.

  • @ Terra- yes, you are the 1st Internet Sony Hugger! =)

Anyways, there are diff. budgets/priorities per diff. regions. Laziness? Maybe… or more like SCEA has their teams on other projects which would generate more profit.

It’s actually quite smart for Sony to have unique content releases for these diff. regions. It makes creating another region specific Acct. as a serious option & well, many of Sony’s top dev. houses are located in the US which could explain their focus on “new” content & not PS1 to Vita porting.

  • @209, Lightning- I think by now, you should know it isn’t feasible to digitize Nascar for the US market. Blocking your comments is a telltale sign. Run an online petition- I can’t think of any other method.

  • Can you guys please not bring back the IGC? It just discourages people who actively spend money on the store, from buying games they feel will be free later on. I own most of the games being given out. Well the ones worth owning. If there was a way to refund Plus that’d be great too since there was no notice of a change of program pre E3. Or at the least the instant game collection shouldnt be a whole year event.

  • Are they not doing the payment plan like they did last year for the NFL Sunday Ticket?

  • Yeah boarderlands is a great game and I bought when it was on sale as a major bundle for plus members AGES AGO and so once again out of many times over I get ripped off for being a plus member on my MAIN ACCOUNT that I am blocked from commenting on here from as always. But yeah I platinum that game to ages ago like many others in this blog. My kids LOVE playing coop with me and we still play it a lot and I help them buy new mods and weapons and throw them down and let them pick them up since money on their is maxed and I’m level 51 so I help them level up super fast beating the hard bosses for them with my character lol. Its a fun game that is a cool rpg shooter and major gun collector game and always fun trying to always tressure hunt for better weapons and mods. I’m mad I payed for it and its free now but I’m glad so many will get to try it out for free now. Its fun and once you spend time playing it you get addicted to it like skyrim is addicting but boarderlands is a shooter unlike skyrim.

  • @ morgan hero since your takeing down 2 more full psn games for ps plus this month dose that meen we will be seeing more free games I think most likely and i dont even know why i coment on this thing u never answer me and also thanks for puting up with everyone els B/s and complants it really takes alot to deal with people on here thanks alot man

  • When will we get our cash back (rebate) for any pre-orders made during the summer PSN PLAY 2012 promotion?
I pre-ordered Sound Shapes and Papa-yo and could really use my 3$ PS Wallet credit to buy more stuff =).

  • @77 TooLVolta – Leon fan i see! ;)

  • @zackabc17. I think Double Dragon Neon is likely to replace one of those full games. Choplifter I suppose. Hopefully a big PS3 game will be added to replace Saint’s Row 2. (like Red Dead…)

Nothing for me this time. Played Borderland but didn’t really care for it. I will probably download Double Dragon when its added. Well maybe. It depends on what else is added.

I have been considering downloading Infamous 2 but not sure yet. Maybe I should just wait & see what else is added this month. I am pretty busy playing the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection right now. :)

  • People complaining about the ps1—– classics http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Vita/PS-Vita-Gets-26-More-PS-one-Titles-More-Coming-Soon/td-p/38126993 Considering this, I don”t think there’s going to be a blog post every time a batch of ps1 classics get released, so just chill.

  • Laugh Factory app is not working on its launch date. How did this pass cert? I was really looking forward to this app.

  • Definitely buying Aliens Vs. Predator Bughunt Map Pack and Aliens Vs. Predator Multiplayer Swarm Map Pack DLC

  • Do u think they will put the full game of Black ops2 in the PSN store?

  • Is Grand Theft Auto 2 ever going to be a PS one classic? I look every week hoping to see it on the store. I know the ps version was the worst of the three, the others being pc and dreamcast, but think of how awesome of a title that would be on vita. To quote Bender Bending Rodriguez It would be “fun on the bun”

  • oh and the discworld series, and ape escape (never played them and would love to. ) Oh and while I’m complaining trophy support would be nice on ps one classics (pipe dream)

  • OMG! thank you for including prices, now if you only did that for the drop weekly post that would be awesome.. thank you again.

    • These normally need to be confirmed with as much time as possible, so The Drop posts may not be the best post to communicate them on.

  • Why doesn’t the Sunday ticket have 4 payments this year?

    • Last year, there were issues with people not having a credit card on file to continue their payments. it got messy to manage, and thus we moved towards a single payment requirement.

  • SMH on $59.99 MW3 they know good and well that game is in its 30s now.

  • yay a new tabvle pack for Pinball arcade… and they patched in trophies for the last two packs… I’m very pleased… also those of you who haven’t picked up Rock Band Blitz or Tony Hawk HD… get em.. they’re a blast

  • Whoever is in charge of what content gets pushed out when should seriously get pushed out of a window.. I’d like to ask something; are the lack of ps1 games available on the vita due to quality concerns? I understand that some games that aren’t available on the vita own store but can be installed via transfer from ps3 have some issues (only one I’ve run into so far is slow down in vagrant story when going into first person view) but if the customer wants the game now, release it now and patch your emulator at a later date. The system does have the ability to update via wifi. I can understand certain licensing issues that can hold it back, but then why has both Japan and Europe have access to more than 50% of their library?

Business 101; a happy customer makes a rich company. You guys have a lot of problems to fix, better get to it.

  • It’s not just the Vita that’s lacking in PSOne Classics. The PS3 has had the same games in that section for as long as I can remember. There are plenty of great PSOne games they could add that aren’t on there. Think it’s time to update the list.

  • amazing update, already downloaded borderlands & treasure park & zen pinball 2….. but i have to say that $60 for mw3 when its pretty much a year old is bs. but thats not sonys fault its activision’s. i remember going to the store when black ops came out and they STILL wanted like $40 bucks for Call Of Duty 4 D: please stop ripping us off activision.

  • The Plants vs Zombies table might be the most addictive Zen table yet. Great use of the license.

  • hi Im from Isreal.
when is the update coming for the Isreali PSN store?
also will PS+ members get the PSASBR public beta early at some point?
    plz answer thank you :)

  • Has the NHL 13 demo pulled back?

  • Not too bad. Good thing I didn’t spend $10 on Borderlands a few weeks ago, now I can use that money saved to renew my Plus subscription for another year.

  • I’ve never played Borderlands before, so I’m happy for it’s + availability. If it was RDR I wouldn’t be so happy cause I already have that and just finished replaying it about 2 months ago.
So, as with all updates, you win some you lose some. They can’t make everybody happy every update, but I can guarantee the majority of subscribers will be made more than happy during their subscription time. (as long as you watch what you buy and dont get buyers remorse when it appears free on +)

  • Nice update and I am happy for Sonic’s price drop as well. I wish my Gotham City Imposters didnt become FTP messing up the game for me. Oh well. Feels a bit like I lost one of my games. Its still the best deal in gaming by far. Sega with these cheap $2.99 deals will soon have all my money. Now sonic is $2.99. Awsome. Make crazy taxi and im 100% hooked for life. I dont know why the DC still has such a fond place in my heart and its great having updated HD versions to play.

When will we get a native Crackle app in the US?

  • PS Ive spent the past decade as another system as my online system but PS+ has changed all that. Ive now since sold the other system and only use PS as my only current gen system. What I need is a good set of new friends to play with. I have some overlap with my live account but need newer ones to fill in the gaps. Add me if you are not a screaming little kid. I try my best to avoid those. : )

  • I havent gotten the update for my country yet so I don’t know what games and stuff there will be but I want or hope PS+ members get someday a beta for GOW Ascension Multiplayer stuff :) and also I want as a free game for PS+ members: Prototype 2 and Bioshock 1 or 2 and also maybe in some point: Rayman Origins and AC Revelations for free for PS+ :)

    P.S. I want a GOW Dynamic Thme for PS+ lol :P

  • So when is the LAUGH FACTORY APP actually going to work????????????????

  • Where’s GTA III?

  • Other than Zen Pinball 2 I don’t see anything else worthwhile. Hopefully we will find out soon enough what is replacing choplifter and Saint rows. Hopefully something that is interesting this time around.

  • Oh yeah and I am disappointed that the store updated so late. I think the store team should be putting everything together on Mondays so that it is ready first thing Tuesday. Its not right that every time something comes out that I want the store updates late.

  • cool, gonna get borderlands & linkin park for rock band…and the free stuff for the vita.

  • Morgan quit responding to comments last night. I think he is getting tired of all the negative comments as are we all. If Sony NA would just get a clue that they are offering a below average store to it’s American customers all this negativeness would stop or be reduced by 95%. Sony NA should hire Sherlock Holmes to find the clue…..oops I forgot he is from Europe too, god forbid you take any clues or hints from Europe… :/

    • i respond to comments at my earliest opportunity, but sometimes the days are packed and I can’t get to them. But I usually review and respond to all comments I can within 24 hours of the post being live.
