LittleBigPlanet PS Vita officially launches today in North America on PS Vita game card and PSN today, and sets our loveable hero on an all-new journey filled with an unprecedented level of exploration and content creation.

Swing by your nearest retailer to pick up a copy, or purchase the digital version through PSN with today’s PlayStation Store update. Don’t dawdle: if you download the game during the first week of release (September 25th through October 1st), you will receive the special BioShock and Knights of Old costume packs bundled with your purchase.

I bought this last week, will i be able to download my dlc from lbp 1 i never bought prt2 but the dlc for 1 works in 2 so eill it work for vita, i know some will eventually but any today?

Also my already made characters, can i transfer thrm

How about the dlc for vita ad a controller?

Been playing LBP Vita for a week now, and my vita could’t be more happier. Right now I’m playing with the create tool, trying to make a sackbot do stuff. Can’t wait to have the costumes DLC from LBP1, and LBP2 on my Vita.

As for the rest of us…whether you are a long time fan or have never played any version…you owe it to yourself to pick this up. And, if you have an ounce of creativity in that noggin of yours, you will get uncountable hours of mad scientist-like joy from create mode.

I bought this game early and IT IS AWESOME. It’s identical to the PS3 version in pretty much every way, with full and enjoyable touch integration. Definitely grab it. It’s worth every penny.

  I wouldn’t say identical in every way! It includes all the great creative gameplay that you’ve seen in previous LBPs, but adds on a whole bunch of new features and tools that will definitely switch up the levels. Also do not forget the dark and perilous setting of Carnivalia!

I got my lbp for vita last week and love it. I was just wonderig if the sticker packs we bought for lbp and lbp2 will also come to vita. I have a ton of sticker packs and would love use them in my vita lbp.

amazing game ! love it ….. really intuitive & gorgeous levels ….. the characters are filled with charm & whimsy as always …. can hardly wait to get my launch suit …. missed out on the Earth Day costume b/c of the blog stating it would arrive the following week, when in fact, it was the current week – so I’ll be grabbing my space suit as soon as the update happens …. wonder what other costumes will be available – exciting it is ! the MP for this is a blast & already thousands of UG levels are available – so for those of you waiting on the digital version, that’s a bonus …. have fun out there ! thanks for another fantastic LBP game ….. now, any word on a LE LBP bundle ? if there was a Vita with Sackboy image I might be lured to the purchase …. could be too cute to pass up ….

I beat the game & am now trying to collect 100% & ace my levels ….. lots of replayability – to say nothing of the 5 arcade levels with 10 in each – offering 50 more levels ….. this is (IMO) the best Vita game to date ….. & that’s saying a lot, b/c many are terriffic …..

@18 – if you didn’t preorder the game, then yes, you will have to buy the costumes, although I think these colors may be exclusive to the preorder / launch ….. if you have the PS3 games, then those purchased costumes will at some point become available free …. remember to snag your launch space suit free this week only ….

So you announced it’s release yesterday with a blog post on this site. Didn’t bother to put the game up though as Chris Norden of SCEA promised day and date releases of physical/digital games.

Now you are announcing it’s release again with another blog post and it is still not on the PSN store.

@23 – PSN has no set time to update – generally by early evening, sometimes you get lucky & might find an earlier update. they should have a standard time, but this allows them more flexilibility …..

While I am bummed to hear the cross-controller capability won’t be available until Karting is out (November), I can live with that. However, I entered the code I got with my pre-order and it was for online capability. Where are the costumes? When I go into my Popit, there are no Biosock or Knights of Old costumes!

@26 you only get the dlc if you pre-ordered from a retailer. The voucher included in the package is the online pass and misprinted on a dlc card. Official answer http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=4682

I need a full game (digital) for free on my Vita. All I have is Plants vs Zombies and a few Zen Pinball 2 tables. I can’t afford much else right now considering I just bought Borderlands 2 and One Piece Japan Import.

I was one of the lucky bunch that got to pick up the title early, and I’ve had a blast with it. I’ve completed the story mode, which, I have to say, is the best LBP campaign I’ve played thus far (LBP1, and PSP: I’m still playing LBP2). Amazing and creative level design in those stages.

Visually, the game is amazing looking on the Vita screen, and already the community has created some really cool stuff for it. I never doubted the game would be fantastic, but man, this game is fantastic. The team did a wonderful job, so thank them all for me!

@36 Costumes will roll out in batches to support LBP2/Vita/Karting starting today, not all at once but they will continually add more and more. Starting TODAY!

One question about the pre-order items…

If we get the pre-order Knights of Old costumes with the limited edition colors… are we entitled to the “regular” colors the same costumes when they come out on the PSN?

Quick question: I live in the US and I’ve been waiting what seems like years for the “official release date” of the game so I can download all of my store costumes, but it seems that even though it’s already September 25th, the costumes aren’t available. Please help! My sackboy keeps tugging at my sleeve pointing at all the other sackboy’s costumes! Thanks! (By the way, I got it 10 days earlier since gamestop screwed up, GO GAMESTOP)

I’d like to add that I love the game with my entire heart. It’s the best thing that’s happened since LBP 2! I won’t go anywhere without the fine and dandy LBP Vita! The store, to class (shhh!!! you didn’t hear anything! ;), the kitchen and even the bathroom! I LOVE THE GAME! The entire game was epic, and I’d like to say I completed story mode on the third day, there I said it. (Third day since I got it 10 days early thanks to the malfunctioning employees at Gamestop, Bless you Malfunctioning Workers!)

It’s the 25th at 5:30, I can download all the costumes from the ps3 store and I get both as a cross buy voucher so that part works on the ps3 but how on earth do I get them to my psv? they dont transfer through content manager, so what’s the deal? Are the stores still down? Been waiting for awhile now and I suppose waiting another day cant hurt.. but I’m starting to get a bit cranky at waiting.

Also I get a msg that says I have cross buy costumes, I click “Go to store” on window that pops up when it detects I have them and it just sits. I dont get brought to the store so I check and it says there isn’t any content in the store and all the options are crossed out. I’ve put in my voucher and redownload the online pass thinking that may be it (even tho I can play online) and nada.

Hopefully you guys can direct me since I’ve searched everything and it’s nothing but news about lbp cross buy store and nothing helped..

@49 …. you need a seperate code for the costumes ….. at least mine was different than my online pass …. I bought retail & the code was not in the case for the costumes, just the online pass …. then I entered the costume code & there they were – all 6 of them – think the dragon is my fav. really looking fwd to getting my other costumes …. some really good community levels are out there already …. think I’ll spend the next few evenings playing some ….
