  • @49 what is Dokuro about?

  • If anyone could help out in getting wake up club app to the ps store somehow, please do it.

  • I played doom 3 back in the day and loved it, but missed out on resurrection of evil and another thing co-op online for doom 3 was so much fun..Doom 1 and Doom 2 awsome deal for 40 bucks…always will be a doom fan..kinda mad i had no idea silent hill was coming out this week for vita oh well will be it in 2 weeks..

  • buy”

  • @47 It was last month.

  • You should put “Star Wars Battlefront II” as a PlayStation 2 Classic game. I’m sure there are lots of Star Wars fans on playstation that will definetly buy this game it is an awesome game i will be so happy if you do!!!! :)

  • I wish DOOM 3 BFG had Final DOOM as well. If it did, the entire released series would have been accounted for (aside from DOOM64) would have been in one collection. It seems odd to me to leave out that one. Those were the craziest, most difficult levels, they would have been great co-op. But I’m still buying it. Great collection.

This will actually be the first time I’ve ever been able to play the original DOOMs online, and I’ve played these games since their release. A great new aspect to nostalgia.

  • Will the doom games in Doom 3 BFG sell separate on PSN?

  • How much will Book of Memories cost?

  • Is medal of honor going to be on the ps store next week?

  • @60 That’s what I’m wondering. Doom 1 & 2 are already available separately on XBLA.

    @59 Hmm.

  • @40 The reason we don’t have Suikoden II seems to be that it’s broken on the PS1 release. Apparently, there are some bits with garbled text, things not working overall. As for the other games I’m not really sure what the hold up is on them. I hope this is some sort of help…

  • When are we ever going to get the orignal Ape Escape on the Psn. Is there some problem with the game? Also why don’t you try putting the Dark Cloud Series as ps2 classics. Some of those game are a bit hard to find if you aren’t buying it online.

  • Totally bust week oh well. I gotta wait a week till that Guilty Gear releases its killing me hurry up and release it already.

  • Bahahahahaha…. Narnia!

    YOU MAD?!

  • @52, Shakatak- no clue. They’re def. putting this app on hold; it’s taking longer than I expected.

@53, Ryumaou- it’s a platformer in which you lead a princess through levels full of enemies & traps. The graphics are unique- the world is in a charcoal, b & w scheme. I think Famitsu (sp) rated it 8/8/7/8 or something in that range. I’ve read that the price will be $20.

  • @67, I gotta say, taken out of context, this comment is really funny! :)

  • pretty weak drop :P

  • I’m normally not the one to complain, but I’m getting tired of certain games being called PSone Classics and PS2 Classics. The Chronicles of Narnia a classic? Really? Last time I checked, movie-games are amongst the bottom of the barrel, and the Chronicles of Narnia is right there amongst the rest of them, maybe even just barely creeping over.

Don’t stain a word like “Classic” with mediocrity. It’s no different than calling the Chronicles of Narnia movie a classic. Not that it’s a terrible movie, by any means, but to place it on the same level as something like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Schindler’s List, or Shawshank Redemption is just absurd.

Let’s respect the actual classic-nature of our videogames and leave the word “Classic” for games that truly deserve the title, even if it is only for a shop-promotion on the PS Store.

  • @71: It is a buzzword. Deal with it.

  • @Complainers: if the release isn’t your thing, good for you. Please keep your sorrowful and/or rageful words to yourself. If you hate Sony’s effort to bring us more dl game more frequently than other systems then please write it down on paper, not on the forums.:Noone likes a buzzkill.Or buzzards ether…Main noob killer of bl2 I tell ya.
This drop seems fair to the fans whom this interest,I hope the next drop is my type of drop :D
P.S. Should you really talk down to Sony when your a offical PS+ subscriber?Kinda makes you look bad.

  • @73 We had some that acted like that and yet they were XBL Gold subscribers.

  • Dis drop is crap

  • Narnia is crap gane

  • @71 YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH YOU TELL THEM!!!

  • WAKE UP CLUB VITA APP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is Jet Set Radio for Vita being released this Tuesday? I read a few articles saying it will come out on the 16th of October…so if anyone knows, I’ll greatly appreciate a response on this matter :)

  • @72 “Hot” is a buzz word. “Fantastic!” is a buzz word. “Stellar” is a buzz word. “Amazing” is a buzz word.

“Classic” should not be stained for the use of buzz. We don’t call Classical Music classical because it’s a means of trying to sell more. Classical Music is called classical because it has stood the test of time and is still amazing. Classic Rock, Classic R&B, and Classic Jazz are all in the same boat (As well as others).

When I think Classic Games, I have a pretty broad list in my head from from 7 different generations of console and PC games. The PS2, in particular, has a TON of classic-natured games that deserve to be called “classic”. My problem is in calling these mediocre (And some times downright terrible) games “Classic” as a means of trying to get a sale out of a poor sap who doesn’t know that the game isn’t a classic by any means. What Sony should be doing is putting their actual classics (Of which there are a ton) on the PS Store for new generations to check out, not mediocrity to try and make a quick buck.

Sony isn’t the only company doing this. Nintendo and Microsoft have also lazily labeled crappy games as “Classic” all too often. It’s just seriously getting annoying.

  • @80 Name these crappy games.

  • Much needed PSN releases:
Ps2 or HD remake – Gauntlet Dark Legacy with 4 player support please!
    Psp – Final Fantasy 1
    Ps2 – Capcom vs Snk 2
Vita – support for Ps1 Final Fantasy V
    Ps3 – Street Fighter X Tekken
    Ps3 – Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Ps1 – Strider (with Vita support)

    Any info would be appreciated!

  • Two words, Rival Schools.

  • HEY! What about Jet Set Radio for Vita? It’s supposed to come out on the 16th!

  • @14 – I also wonder how Sony demographs for these ps1/ps2 re-releases. So many good ps2 games and Chronicles of Narnia is what they come up with. I wonder if the people at Sony are secretly laughing at us.

  • Hey, everyone, there will be yet another all day network maintenance. Tweeted by PS an house ago. Online play not affected.

  • @71 No one is even calling Narnia a Classic. “PS2 Classics” is just a label used to indicate a PS2 game released on the PSN. I repeat: They are not calling Narnia a classic. I’m as big of fan of the PS2 and classic games as a whole as anyone else is, but you are overreacting on an unbelievable scale.

  • @87, Crimson, I have only been a gamer for 4 years so I don’t know most of the games that so many demand be brought to PSN & Vita. I’m excited about the upcoming PS2 remake, Okami, because I played a few minutes of it on the wii. I try to research games before I invest, but maybe some would be fooled by the word “classic”. Of course we all know it’s just a marketing ploy. They’re not going to call them PS2 Retreads.

I think Ultimate is just someone who respects words, the proper use of our language. He’s fighting a war that’s long been lost, but I respect his intention.

  • Jet set radio vita tomorrow righ?
    RIGHT!?

  • Please talk to the developers about
getting these fantastic games on the PSN:

    Legacy of Kain-
    Blood Omen 2
    Soul Reaver 2
    Defiance

    Thanks!

  • Waiting patitently for Rival Schools to be added to Ps1 classics. Also, Fighting Vipers would be a steller re-release sony.

  • @90, They already have Legacy of Kain on PSN. you can play it on your Ps3/pspGo/psp3000, but not on your Vita.

  • Finally games for Ps Vita owners, it’s a good start but there needs to be more of a constant stream of incoming games for the Ps Vita.Going into the holidays and all competition between 3Ds XL & Ps Vita is going to be stiff get it in gaer Sony with the third party support ASAP.

  • @shakatak12 Wake up club is on hong kong psn and you should have no trouble dl it as the store is in English.

  • The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe as a PS2 Classic? Are you kidding me?

  • @ 95 I’m in canada. It hasn’t come out yet. I’M SO MAD! They’re always messing up with us canadians. I need an alarm in BAD way.

  • This drop really doesn’t have anything that i want. I pre-ordered assassins creed 3 liberation and can’ wait. Does anybody know when the demo is coming out because i have no other games on the vita so im looking 4 something to do. What i want them to release first is an alarm on the stupid canadian ps store. Im sick of waiting!
    PS. Thanks

  • @81: You must not listen to stations that play “Classic Rock”. They just play anything from a certain era. Same with the others.

    Classical Music isn’t relevant.

Classics is a buzzword whether you want it to be or not, and it’s one of the few good marketing choices Sony has done. Only people mad are people who don’t grasp what it means or like you, who don’t want to accept what it means.

You don’t have to accept it. It won’t change.

  • I may check out dokuro, looks pretty fun. I played the book of memories demo and coming from a silent hill fan, it’s not even remotely interesting.
