  • smoothboarder540:

I’m right and you know it. Your only comeback to me is that you THINK that I wasn’t here when Payday was released. But I was. So, now what? Nothing? That’s what I thought. You can’t debate ANY of the points I made. You’re just the average hater, plain and simple.

  • @dustinsedlock,
I have emailed cust support on the enter the code question once I hear about anything i will post their answer.

  • How do i access the playstation allstars battle royale beta and how come i cant see payday the heist yet?

  • @posthero01,
you have to do a search for them through the search function they will then show up Payday is half way down the screen and ASBR should be at the bottom of the search screen

  • @Tsupi_Az
    Thanks!
    Looking forward to their response!

  • I actually just checked PLUS in the store and it is now updated with Payday and the ASBR is located in the exclusive folder of the plus section

  • @ primero

I know this comment is sort of late.

But you just assume ever person who is dissatisfied with the service has complained on this or other websites. I can’t be 100 percent for sure, but I willing to bet there are more users. No service, (at least that comes to my mind) has that kind of satisfaction rate.

That is not to say that this isn’t a great service imo, but most companies will always have a certain percentage (much higher than 1 percent) of costumers who are dissatisfied. I really don’t know about Plus stats, and neither do you. That is all I’m saying.

BTW, you remember every single user’s name that complains, c’mon. Your method of arriving at this stat is very flawed. Stats are a very tricky thing.

    Thanks for the debate!

  • @dustinsedlock
Here is what Sony had to say about the ticker,

    (( Response Via Email (Colton K.) 10/16/2012 06:11 PM
    Hello TsuPi_Az,

Thank you for contacting PlayStation®Technical Support. My name is Colton and I will be assisting you today.

We are aware of the “Enter the Code” message that you are seeing, and working on getting it removed. You do not need to worry about the message, as there is nothing wrong with your system.))

So it means nothing to any of us on PS3 just a glitch of somesort.

  • @poolmav45

Good lord, I can’t believe I have to straighten you out again…

    1. I never said I remembered everyone’s name. You flat-out made that up.

    2. Notice how I attempted to account for everyone I may have been missing by rounding up the 200 or so complainers I have witnessed up to 1,000. Notice how I also tried to balance out the percentage (in your favor!) by NOT raising the 100,000 Plus subscribers from 2011 to whatever higher number they are now.

    3. I also said “estimating” in parenthesis regarding the 200 or so complainers I saw. I never said it was concrete.

    4. I also put “at least online” in parenthesis in regard to how many subscribers had been publicly complaining. I’m aware others may not be satisfied with the service, but they have obviously not been voicing their dissatisfaction online.

  • 5. Continuing from #4, you should have taken note that I also did not say that these numbers represent ALL customers dissatisfied with the service. I specifically used the term “whiny little brats”, and “ungrateful brats”. There may be more people dissatisfied with the service, but they must not be dissatisfied enough if they’re not making a big deal about it. I’m only referring to the brats on this blog who rant and rave over the smallest things. There really are a very small percentage of those people. Most likely less than 1% of all subscribers, and note how I used the term “most likely”. Which I also used when I stated that the number of whiny brats is “most likely” less than 1%, even after adjusting the estimated numbers in your favor.

    6. I even asked Morgan if he could disclose the most current count of Plus subscribers. So, obviously, I intended to make my side of the argument as accurate as possible, but unfortunately, he was unable to share that information. Still, the adjustments I made obviously help make up for any currently unknown imbalances, even if not all of them, but enough of them that we can get a ball-park figure, which is exactly what “less than 1%” is.

  • 7. Common sense tells you that most people who are dissatisfied with a service will just discontinue support of it. I was only measuring the amount of whiners on the blog who naively think they’re going to affect Sony’s policies by throwing temper tantrums and threatening to take their business elsewhere.

    8. You implied that I was just throwing numbers out there to bolster my argument, but you failed to take into account how every adjustment I made was to enable your argument to stand a chance. And it didn’t stand a chance. And you know it.

    9. For the hell of it, shall we round it up again? Let’s go ahead and say there are 10,000 dissatisfied Plus subscribers. Even if the membership count was still around 100,000, there would still only be 10% dissatisfied. But we KNOW FOR SURE the member count is higher than that, thus the percentage of dissatisfied customers is VERY LIKELY in single digits, right? But as I stated, even most of them won’t whine like spoiled brats. The whiny brats REALLY DO represent less than 1% of all Plussers, and that’s who I was talking about here.

  • In conclusion, you can’t take the complainers on this blog seriously. Anyone with a speck of experience in the world outside their parents’ nest will tell you that these kinds of things are not worth repeatedly ranting over. Maybe one rant, but not every single day logging in to make more empty threats, incessantly insulting Sony employees and all who happen to be satisfied with Sony, and just generally causing disruption. It’s a video game service, not an ever-dwindling food supply. It’s $4.17 per month, not some $100,000 medical bill. You know? It’s really nothing.

ALSO…and you know this is true… the dissatisfaction these whiners display has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with poor service on Sony’s end. It comes directly from their entitled attitudes. It comes from that fact that whatever they get is never enough. It comes from the immature desire to “troll” about anything and everything because they think it’s funny or they like being a thorn in peoples’ sides. That is nothing you can pin on Sony, the blog team, the Plus team, or whoever is responsible for the service. Some people just have no class. No respect. No tact. No consideration or compassion for others. That’s who these ungrateful brats are. Screw them.

  • So Morgan, what are we going to be pleasantly surprised about next week?

    P.S You have a girl name :)

  • ! feel @264 W-8oRd3rPaTr0l-J’s pain.

  • @PrimeroIncognito If there was a way to get a prorated refund, many of us would drop the service, but since we can’t get any type of monetary compensation, we hope to get some games that are more in line with what was shown at E3. The service was made out to be something that it’s not in the US but is in EU. Since we can’t get any sort of refund, this is our only outlet to tell Sony how we feel and for some reason some people are taking it very personally that some people aren’t happy with the service. I’m not prone to throw $50 out the window, but since I’ve only downloaded 3 games since June, I feel like I have. What I really don’t understand is why you fight so avidly for a company that just wants your money?

  • this really awesome i like the heist pretty good

  • @RampageDeluxe

For Christ’s sake… yet another person who doesn’t understand. You will be the last person I respond to in this thread, as this is getting really tiring.

First of all, what’s this “we” stuff? Speak for yourself. Out of the 100,000+ members, how many are whining here? Check the percentages. Why are you acting like your part of some united front?

You didn’t throw $50 out the window. You got a lot for it.

I’m not fighting for Sony. I’M. TRYING. TO. GET. THROUGH. YOUR. HEADS. That’s all. They don’t need me to fight for them. They have billions of dollars. They could just hire some assassins to kill us all if they wanted to.

  • Morgan said: “since E3′s unveiling of the new instant game collection philosophy with Plus, membership has skyrocketed”

I am not surprised. I signed up in June because the IGC at that time was worth it.

The question is will it still be worth it next June to renew? The initial boost of the “IGC startup” certainly was worth it. But the monthly updates since then have mostly been disappointing and the appeal of the games been rotated in has been poor, with one or two exceptions like Borderlands, pretty much all of the games I’ve really spent some ‘quality time’ on where from the initial june boost.

I don’t feel cheated, because I already got my money’s worth in June, but when time comes around to renew I’ll have to re-evaluate whether the monthly updates are still going to be worth it. That decision will be based on the updates throughout the year.

So I hope for you the numbers don’t fall off a cliff depending on how many of those june subsrcribers don’t renew next june.

As it stands now, the monthly updates don’t seem worth it to me.

  • And finally, you claim, “I’ve only downloaded 3 games since June”.

No you haven’t. You’ve downloaded 11. Why lie? Now you really have no credibility. You didn’t know I could check your trophy list, huh?

    You’ve downloaded:

    1. Just Cause 2
    2. LittleBIGPlanet 2
    3. inFAMOUS 2
    4. Choplifter HD
    5. Renegade Ops
    6. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX
    7.Gotham City Imposters
    8. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown
    9. Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone
    10. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
    11. Outland

Don’t even try to tell me it’s a coincidence that you happened to buy the exact same games that were part of the IGC.

  • Awesome! Last week I asked for something I the vein of Costume Quest and now I actually got Costume Quest plus lots of other great games. I can see why some people have been agitated this month, none of the free games have been my genre, but I don’t see how anyone can hate PS+. I would have paid way more than $50 for all the games I’ve downloaded. Next month will have plenty more games and I can hardly wait for Christmas! Anyway, I though since I got exactly what I was asking for, I’d give it another go… :-)

Darksiders 1 (need to catch up)
The Prince of Persia (started this a long time ago, but my Xbox red ringed. Best thing that happened since I live my Playstation)
    Resistance 1 & 2 (3 was amazing)
    Journey (beautiful)
Valkryia Chonicles (always wanted to give it a try)
Disney Universe (trial was a blast to play with my 4 year old)
De Blob 2 (1 was decent)
    Spider-Man Shattered Dimension (looked good)
Transformers War for Cybertron (finally something with transformers that is actually cool)
Red Dead Redemption (hopefully with Undead Nightmare)

I’ll be satisfied with anything though. Thanks for the update!

  • Just wanna say thanks for the updates, and hopin the next full ps3 game isn’t one I already own again like Infamous 2.

  • @PrimeroIncognito Wow I didn’t know you were such a troll. I guess it is unfathomable that people can buy games to you huh? Considering how old most of those games are, why is it implausible that people own them? Have you also never heard of renting? I downloaded LBP2, Gotham City and Renegade Ops. I think You’re coming across as a narcissistic control freak. I just feel sorry for you now.

  • Morgan,
I’ve never posted before but I thought I’d add my opinion to the tracking done on how PS+ subscribers are feeling. I bought + a few weeks ago because of Borderlands being in the instant game collection. Since then we’ve gotten games that are…lower quality, to put it mildly. I was willing to try them (and I’ve downloaded every one available) but they just aren’t up to retail game quality or length. I had high hopes that this week’s update would get back on track, but I have to say, I continue to be incredibly under impressed. Chalk me down in the group who probably won’t renew my subscription unless the games offered in the instant game collection become full retail games, and not niche fighting PSN games.

  • Unbelievable. I’m a troll because I caught you in a lie? And rather than own up to it, you instead choose to engage in this embarrassingly transparent damage control?

All those games are right next to each other on your list. You downloaded them all around the same time. They were all part of the IGC at the same time.

Pac-Man, Renegade Ops, and Gotham City Imposters were all added to the IGC at the same time, and they’re right next to each other on your list. But you say you only downloaded Gotham City and Renegade Ops? So what you’re saying is you actually paid for Pac-Man at the exact same time you downloaded the others for free? You saw that Pac-Man was free too but said, “Nah, I’ll actually give you guys money for that one”? Even though I’m sure that’s technically impossible with a Plus account activated. You CAN’T purchase it. The only option available would be to download it.

This only means that YOU are the troll. You posted a bunch of lies for no other reason to be an antagonist. The definition of trolling.

  • And who knows, maybe you’ve downloaded even more than 11. You might have downloaded every game the IGC has offered and you just haven’t played them yet. Since they won’t show up on your list until you boot the game for the first time.

Sheesh… why did you even try to get away with that crap? Well, we all know we can’t trust RampageDeluxe now. Shameful.

  • ♥_♥ I’m glad I subscribed. Too bad that I don’t live in the US. If I did I would have obtained my PSN card and my PS+ subscription a few months ago. I missed some goodies but it’s not that bad because I know that PS+ won’t disappoint with its future content.

Hehehe KOF XIII made my day and NFL blitz is a big change because in my region (Mauritius – Google it) we call soccer football. Payday is fun to play and Scott Pilgrim reminds me of the good old Gameboy console days. Double Dragon is hot. I’m surprised with the quality of that game. I can’t wait for Infamous 2 to complete.

I wonder if that 320 gb console will be enough to hold all the goodies that will come for the next 365 days.

    X_X

  • I’ve been wanting to check out Payday since it came out, it just came out at a bad time. I’m also really enjoying PS All Stars beta which is great!! Discounts are good as well, but I have all of the games I would be interested in. The Early access to the Unfinished Swan are great perks, but not usually ones I would take advantage of. Would love to see more 1 hour game trials. Looking forward to what comes to Vita next month for PS Plus

  • Kind of bummed at no discount on the Unfinished Swan. Really happy about the discount on Monster World!

  • Atlast i’ve been waiting for PLANTS VS ZOMBIE ps3 version i cant find it in search only ps vita version, im gonna download that PVZ nxt week even its not free :))

  • First time to post on here and relatively new to the Plus membership. While I have been disappointed in the game releases the past few week, I feel I have gotten my money’s worth out of the IGC and that anything that is coming now is just bonus. I am eagerly waiting and hoping for an awesome Halloween game on Tuesday. I did pick up Festival of Blood and Costume Quest, for those prices I couldn’t argue :P

Everyone has their own tastes in games and while mine leans more towards action/adventures amid RPGs and less towards sports, fighting, and FPS, doesn’t mean that I don’t give these games a chance to impress me. Some have surprised me and have gone on to enjoy the game, while others sit on my trophy list at a stagnant 1-5%. The point is that the game is free and you never know until you give it a chance and I am thankful to Sony for giving me a fairly inexpensive service that offers me the opportunity to try new games and play games I enjoy for cheap.

  • After seeing the list of games EU has gotten…I’m absolutely speechless. Don’t get me wrong, PS+ is a good service but man, people in that region have to be laughing at us. Very few EU members would trade places. Pay the same price for a service and get an inferior product? Never had qualms with PS+ until now. It’s like finding out a sibling gets ice cream for dinner while your parents shove dog food down your throat.

  • I picked up Dead Nation. Thanks for this awesome sale!
