I hope that you and the whole PS+ team and the whole PSN team for that matter, know not to take any of the ridiculous comments personal. I know it would be hard for me to always be criticized on work that I do on a daily basis, it’s bad enough to get it from your boses. I think people forget you guys are working, these are your careers and I’m sure you guys know the majority of the stuff said here is foolish, immature nonsense. But on behalf of those of us that understand what you guys do and the logistics involved, thanks for all your hard work, seriously. Having said that, you guys do need to work on your “Day 1 Digital Download” promotion it should be a midnight launch, I can imagine it being difficult but not impossible I’m sure. I think the majority of people would trade off the discount for having that available. The first half of my comment was not intended to come off as a backhanded compliment it was sincere.
actually there should be some 1 month “30 days sales return policy” for games that go in sale into the same 30 days of your purchase.
same as walmart. if you buy a game at 60$ and go in sale 1 week later at 29.99 if you still have your receipt you can ALWAYS go ask for your 30$ at customer services.
me i learned that ~2 years ago to NEVER buy a game on PSN until it go on sale. NO SALE NO BUY FOR ME!

I’d pick up Once Piece now if Assassin’s Creed III and Okami HD weren’t so close to release.
Believe it or not, Europe is a different country – with different licensing laws and fees. Its not like Sony NA is holding out on us – their hands are tied behind their backs.
You don’t think that they want us to be happy? If we are happy, then we will tell others to join the service, and they will get more subscribers – etc. They are doing all that they can.
I’ve been with the service for a couple of months and I think its great – every Monday I am excited to see what I might get free; its a great format and I hope it continues. As a vita owner, I am thrilled to see what’s in store next month.
How can we possibly complain? I have gotten more than my moneys worth already in the last couple of months. When I compare this service to Microsoft – this is far and away a much better value for the money.

To tell you the truth, I like USA PSN instant game collection better than Europe…And i don’t want USA IGC to copy Europe IGC =)))….And I want moar HD remakes in IGC like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, MGS: Peace Walker, RE4, RE: Code Veronica and setera… Think about this, guys =)))…

I don’t envy Morgan’s job he is being given a pig and asked to put lipstick on it weekly. Customers simply aren’t stupid.
Another disappointing PS+ update doesn’t surprise me. The day 1 digital service is awesome though, and I look forward to seeing what titles get secured for November.
Great Update. Nice seeing the lower price in the Fan Axxess pass for WWE ’13. It’s perks like that, that can really influence the purchase preference for games that are multi-platform. It doesn’t hurt that the PS3 has other great features like 6 player local play in the WWE games. Keep up the great work in providing variety in discounts! It’s no wonder that Sony is getting so much revenue as of late! :)
@smushums It’s not about brown nosing. It’s principle. We got loads of free games. We’re supposed to get 1 game free a month, we’ve been getting 3-4. Now if you don’t like the games, that’s on you. They aren’t giving us bad games, they’re giving us good full titles with some psn games. And huge discounts. If you don’t like king of fighters, borderlands, and star hawk, then you need to check your taste in video games and stop blaming the people who are giving you these games for free. You are spoiled with content every month. And I hate seeing those kids that dont get the iphone for their birthday so they hate their parents. It’s just like that.
Well, you have to put into the math that most of the games offered are worth… NOTHING.

“BEFORE SIGNING FOR PSN+, CHECK THE PSN+ EU GAMES. DON’T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF SIGNING FOR PSN+ US, THEY ONLY RELEASE CRAPPY DISCOUNTS AND USELESS ‘GAMES’. SPREAD THE INFO FOR FELLOW GAMERS.”
And then I’ll have made my part for a better gaming world. =)

I (and we) actually care quite a lot about customer satisfaction. I realize this update isn’t buttering everyone’s toast, but I’m very confident in our direction starting this November, and I think you guys will love it too.

Losing my mind a little bit. I bought One Piece yesterday. Because of the big install I’ve played it a total of ten minutes and now its 20 cheaper?!? The same thing happened last year when Sony announced the free Jurassic Park with Plus two days after I renewed. I am insanely angry over this . I have personally gotten over a dozen friends to sign up for Plus because of my recommendations and now I’m out 20 bucks because Sony can’t give a cn accurate Plus schedule more than a day in advance. I’m writing a letter to customer service to express my dissatisfaction with their policies both that I could not buy this game on disc and now I have no recourse to receive a refund.
Woot, more SEGA platformers! Still gotta go through Monster World IV, which I’ve really liked so far.
Passing on One Piece (too hefty for as little I’m versed in OP) and WWE (not one for realistic sports/”sports” games) but despite not having Super Monkey Ball in any form for myself yet, forty cents is kinda hard to pass up (like the twenty-five-cent Escape Plan DLC).
For updates, I like both. However, while I’m definitely for weekly forecasts, I prefer the monthly to be a rundown of what had been offered during the month, so we can really see just what we got in on in all. Plus (heh), we wouldn’t want something promised for the end of the month to run into a snag.

Not here to complain because there realoy is no point. I have to agree with 227 & 228. As gamers we have to speak with our wallets. The proof is visable for all to see. PS+ EU seems like a better deal to me so by this time next year i wont care about this blog cause ill be a PS+ EU member.
Promises mean nothing to me when it comes to spending my money. Only fool accept less when they dont have to. Im no fool.

Anyway, if PS+ US is good for you then stick with it but dont put down others because they demand better for their hard earned money. All consumers have the right to quality.
There are some things I think that really hurt Plus from a marketing standpoint.
1. Different games in different regions. Some of this is probably inevitable, but it’s also frustrating. When you see that gamers in a different region get a game you really want for free, and you don’t, it leads to dissatisfaction. If there’s any way to make the free games all-or-nothing (free worldwide or not at all), that might help. Having similiar quality titles between the regions would also help (not a free A-list in one region and a free C-list in another region).
2. Temporary discounts that come out after the initial sale. Just in this thread there are people complaining that they just purchased a game that’s going on sale tomorrow. Plus membership quickly teaches you — don’t buy ANYTHING unless it’s on sale. Isn’t that detrimental to everyone, Sony and publishers included? May I suggest a standard policy that if you bought it from PSN within 30 days prior to the sale, you get a refund for the different automatically? It would make people happy, and encourage them to go ahead with the impulse buy. As a related policy, no Plus discounts within the first 90 days of a game’s life unless it was available day 1.
Wow really!?!? I souldnt buy One Piece on Day 1, Im a huge fan of this. It’s a great game BUT WHY YOU PUT IT ALMOST HALF PRICE AFTER 1 MONTH AND A FEW DAYS!?!? kind of pissing me off… I love this game but this is really ridiculous for thos who buy the game at $50 like me. I hope Im not the only one whos is mad at this.
I thought I saw on page 2-3 you posting several times that message. If you didn’t they it was others just supporting your cause and reposting. Sorry if I made a mistake, and I should not have called you out as an example to the others. So a sincere sorry, if you didn’t.
While he may not comment on page 4-5 I’m sure he reads them, he has gone back and commented on the store updates 3-4 days after the initial post. That “dedication” shows he reads the comments and gets the feedback to PS+. Whether they can act on requests aside, they do hear them.
3. Plus is so many DIFFERENT things. This might make things worse, instead of better, but…what if there were tiers of membership? If you just wanted online backups, pay a smaller fee than the person who wants everything else? I’m not thrilled with this idea, but SOMETHING to help point out all the benefits (nightly unattended software updates, online backups) and keep them in front of people.
I let my Plus membership lapse. It was a tough call, but…money is tight, I can’t afford everything I want, and I’d played out most of the content I really, REALLY wanted from Plus. Looking forward to see what changes you’re implementing…maybe I’ll be back.

The free games with plus are ok for the most part some of what I’ve gotten I really didn’t want but hey they were free. My problem is with weeks like this I love discounts with my plus membership but expand that to more games lots more games and I’d spend my money like crazy. Just look at how the Halloween sale is going.
While I’m not really interested in any of the content this week, I think the sale on One Piece is awesome. This sort of deal is really under appreciated. Not because it’s a fairly new game, or because 40% off is a pretty good discount, but because as a digital only title, sales like this are about as good as it gets. Look at Siren: Blood Curse, that game is very old, but it still sitting at a rather high price point.
I only wish this sale were for Warriors Orochi 3, because I just can’t bring myself to pay full price for that one.
Let me tell you guys why it’s beter tto have Plus updates montly!
1. You know what’s coming to Plus for the entire month, How many of you been ripped off because you purchased something, only to find out it’s free/on sale next week on Plus!
2. You’ll get your disappointment out early, you don’t have to express your disappointment every week and have false hope by having Morgan lie to you saying “I think you’ll be pleased with next week’s announcement” only for it to be the same crappy year old PSN game.
EU just keeps on giving, after all the full PS3 games they gave away, they’re giving out Crysis 2 this week and that’s only 1/3 of the month! But what a fantastic month we had! NFL Blitz, King of Fighters, and Payday! Pathetic, SCEA, just pathetic!

Agree 247, what sucks the most are the fake promises. You cant say ‘next week will be better’ because you cant please everyone in one week.
It’s just makes me not trust you. This problem can only be fixed by delivering quality similar to its sister service. Promises are for weak minded people. All you have to do is compare the list and see the history or results. Promises vs delivery.
Yeah, I dont envy Morgan, his job sux on days like this. Its not his fault. Imagine the praise his PS+ EU counterpart is recieving right now.
Hey, he already told us this week wouldnt be that hot as well, but starting next week it’ll get better. Be patient. Assassin’s Creed 3 comes out tomorrow anyway, that’s what I’ll be playing instead of downloading other games.
@67 actually I wish they would have never dropped the PS1 games …. if they hadnt we’d probably have Xenogears Chrono Trigger Final Fantasy 6 free by now but nooooo they changed to this ps3 full games thing :( …. please bring AT LEAST discounted PS1 games to the ps store every 2 weeks would be good :)

Normally I don’t really care when Games I buy drop in price. I’m usually happy because it means more people will get to enjoy the game and I don’t care if I pay more because I like to support the game developers.
If this would have happened another month later I would not have cared, but It’s like I just bought this game.
It really seems like Sony is trying to rip me off. They wait until After a bunch of big games are released when they know everyone is going to want to buy them and then announce the $20 back sale a week later. Then they wait until there is DLC to buy for One Piece before they discount it.
