  • Will Sony be doing any Black Friday deals on PSN this year?

  • we want a deal on vita memory cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is there any?

  • Why oh why :D isn’t there a 12GB PS3 for sale in the US for??? It could have been a massive seller for SONY this Xmas(i.e it would have cost under $199 i guess at normal price) I don’t get why not give people the choice in the US? Oh well. Cool PSVita bundles tho;)

  • You know what bundle I want for Vita?

The Vita and a 32GB memory card. And that’s it. No game. The base price of the system and a decent memory card is still absurdly high. Had Sony went with something like an SD card instead of their own proprietary memory, it would eliminate half the reason why a lot of people are still on the fence, just waiting for the prices to fall. I really want a Vita, but I am NOT paying upwards of $80 (Amazon) or more, when I should be using that money to buy games.

  • also is the cross buy deal only for preorder on playstation all?

  • Playstation Vita should be $200 normally. Its just too expensive at $250.

  • That Crystal White Vita is sexy.

  • You guys should bring out BLACK FRIDAY DEALS ON PSN! Like 50% off on everything for ps plus members! And PS plus for a cheaper price on black friday weekend!

  • Planing to pick up a Vita on Black Friday, just not sure what bundle to go for though.

At Toys R Us the CoD Vita bundle also comes with the 10 in 1 essentials pack, so might have to go that route for the extra freebie.

Although I’m sure AC: Liberation is probably the better game.

    oh decisions, decisions.

  • Wish you had listed some PS3 black friday deals instead. Already have a Vita. I also agree with another poster that there should be a huge sale on psn store to mark black friday.

  • And why aren’t the memory cards on sale yet?

  • I have been hoping for a deal on the white vita, now I can grab it next week. Hopefully amazon is going to be one of the retailers to have it at that price.

  • Sony. The Vita is failing. If you want it to be successful, lower the freakin price already. The game quality is piss poor. Hire someone GOOD to make vita games. The guys doing Resistance and Call of Duty Declassified SUCK! They are TERRIBLE developers.

Stop with the cheap gimicks, and start SELLING this system.

Lower the price of the freakin memory cards so I’ll actually WANT to use the Vita’s Store. Nobody is going to buy content when they don’t have enough space to play it all. I have an 8gb card and can’t even use all my features like music ingame because it takes up too much space.

Make BIGGER memory cards and lower the price!!! This is a marketing joke!

  • So far the only guys who did a good job were the guys who made LittleBigPlanet Vita. THAT game uses the vita to its true potential.

    Assassin’s Creed is also good.

I have not played Uncharted or Gravity rush yet and look forward to them next week.

  • I really was waiting/hoping for a Killzone bundle but this deal is way too good to pass up.

    @10 Ryumoau
There is some PS3 Black Friday deals listed below at the bottom of the post

  • I want a 32gb memory card black friday deal.

  • I don’t think the price of the Vita is high at all for the tech inside the system.

The memory card prices on the other hand are stupidly overpriced.

  • I too would prefer a $199 Vita+higher capacity memory card deal, but these are pretty nice. It’s a little odd that the Batman bundle doesn’t come with a memory card, though, as that’s the one I’d probably go for. Honestly, I love Sony and Playstation, a ton! But I probably won’t get a Vita until I can get a bundle with a decent memory card for under $200. 4GB is too small. Great deals though! If you’re on the fence about getting a PS3, this one’s a no-brainer.

  • oh and inFAMOUS, Heavenly Sword, MediEvil, Syphon Filter, Fat Princess and Dead Nation on the vita, thank you.

  • Vita owner with a 32GB card here: I agree with what the others are saying.

When the Vita pricing was announced, people went wild because it was inline with what the (then) price of a 3DS was for superior hardware. Then Nintendo dropped the price of the 3DS, gave away free games to early adopters, and, to make matters worse, Sony announced you couldn’t save to game carts, memory cards were required, they were going to be proprietary, and SUPER expensive.

I mean, to even take advantage of the instant game collection coming to plus, people are going to need at least at 16GB card, so that’s the cost of plus ($50/year) and a card ($50-60). That’s a lot for “free” games. You guys are my favorite company. Stop shooting yourself in the foot—please!

  • @ whatisdelicious

The high cost of thier custom memory cards is how Sony offset seling the Vita unit at a loss.

  • Yay black friday, my favorite (unofficial) holiday of the year!
While these do look like decent deals, I agree with some of the other posters that there should be a black friday sale on the PS store (both the ps3 and vita stores) and that vita memory cards should be on sale too.

  • I´m getting the Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Bundle!!!!! Finally i´m gonna buy a Vita ;)

  • @ 19
Medieval is on the Vita.. i’m playing it now on the Vita. I would love to see Dead Nation and Fat Princess on the vita. But I’m not paying extra for it like i did for super stardust.

  • PS+ has me wanting a Vita badly. May jump on this.

  • Nice deals for people who don’t have a Vita or PS3 yet.

I love my Vita, and I don’t think it needs a price cut, but the memory cards kind of do. I would love to get a bigger one, but the price is keeping me from doing so.

  • Ehhh hello?!!! Which retailers will be holding these deals, I want a Vita and I think this is the time to get it soooo???? Wal-Mart, Amazon, Best Buy, what?!!

    • Hi Nithorias – most major retailers will have these deals, although they will get to choose which bundle they will put on offer. Check with your local retailer before you go to make sure they have the bundle you want.

  • Will Canada get these deals as well? If not, I’ll wait until Christmas to pick one up.

    Thanks,

    Gogo

  • What about PS3 and Vita combo bundle…!

  • @27 CAG has a thread about it…
    http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=331277
    It’s easy to follow.

  • Again with the retailer specific holiday bundles in limited quantities? There should be a standard holiday bundle available in large enough quantitles for everyone who wants one to be able to get one.

  • IM SORRY BUT FOR A PS3 THIS IS NOT A DEAL WHAT SO EVER AND IM A SONY FAN AND HAVE 2 OF EVERY SYSTEM BUT HOLIDAY BUNDLES SUPPOSE TO MAKE PEOPLE WANT TO JUMP ON BOARD AND WHEN WHEN YOU PUT OUT THE SAME BUNDLE FROM LAST YEAR JUST ADDING INFAMOUS AND 30 DAYS OF PLUS IS NOT A DEAL GRABBER THE GAMES THAT ARE OFFER ARE 2 AND 3 YEARS OLD ……….. I HATE XBOX BUT YOU NEED TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THERE DEAL REALLY !!!!! (XBOX360 250 BUNDLE SKYRIM, CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 2, AND FORZA 4 FOR $199) NOW THATS A DEAL UP TO DATE GAMES I WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLD ON BUYING ANOTHER PS3 IF YOU MAKE A BUNDLE WITH AC3 AND UNCHARTED3 THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER

  • I HOPE YOU GUYS READ MY COMMENT PUT THE UNCHARTED3 AND AC3 TOGETHER AND MAYBE A DLC COPY OF NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED

  • COME OUT WITH A 64GB MEMORY CARD FOR THE VITA

  • @31- Head20, last year they release a 160 GB PS3 with a month of Plus, Ratchet & Clank and LittleBigPlanet 2 Special Edition. I know because I got that one from Gamestop for my nephews. This one is a lot better because you get physical games and 12 downloadable ones for a month. 17 games in total for a month, more if you stay a member and have a Vita.

I would like a 64GB memory card as well, if the price is right.

  • I remember there was this one time when PS3 controllers were all $15 each, i was only able to buy 2 though, a silver and a deep blue, really want a white one though.

  • @Godchild1020 yea that was one of the bundles i work at gamestop i there was more then one ps3 bundle out there sorry to inform you

  • This really should be the standard deal for the PS Vita… $200 for a PS Vita with perhaps an 8GB memory card instead of a game.

  • @Godchild1020 we had a limited addition bundle for early customers that came wit uncharted 1 and 2 and little big planet 2 and a extra controller for those who came in at 8 each store had 5 to sell

  • plss drop price for memory card vita 32GB

  • you guys should drop the vita price on a permanent basis and you’ll see that sales will be up because of it.the other company did just that when nobody was buying their product and as soon as they dropped the price they began to sell much better….i had that money for the 199 vita earlier but now i dont so i hope you guys go permanent with this pricing cuz if so i will get it by next month haha

  • I’m tempted by the Vita, mainly because I want to take advantage of PS+.

I wish the memory card was bigger. The 32GB adds $100 to this.

That, to me, is Vita’s biggest problem. The serious gamers are going to be the first to buy, but when so many of us are looking at a bare minimum of $300 for the most storage, it’s a tough sell.

  • Hey SONY, tell Evolution Studios to make a MotorStorm game on Vita.

  • @41
I am sure Sony knows what they are doing. Three generations in a row with over 70,000,000 console and the psp isn’t too shabby either being the only portable to hang with Nintendo.

There will be plenty of time later to drop the price and get the casuals on board. This is a marathon not a sprint. At the moment their primary concern is to provide content, build the library and get existing ps3 owners to buy, evidence by the newly unveiled ps plus instant game collection for the vita.

Since you are already a member of plus that means if you get one of these bundles with the large memory card that you can get on amazon for 80 that will set you back 280 but you instantly have 6 games worth over 80 to play. that would mean you get the vita and 32 gb card for the equivalent of 200 plus taxes. I would say anyone who has some semblance of common sense would see the value in this.

  • I JUST bought a Vita bundle yesterday at Best Buy. They said they won’t be price matching even if they dropped the price :(

  • Dear Mr. Koller:

I’m happy to see that you’re offering several PS Vita bundles at reduced prices for Black Friday. I hope that this will encourage more people to buy the PS Vita – which is capable of providing a vastly superior handheld gaming experience compared to its competitors.

However, I’m deeply concerned (and upset) that very few major 3rd party publishers have produced AAA games for the PS Vita. This is especially true for AAA non-Japanese RPGs and sci-fi shooters for the PS Vita.

Please make every effort to remedy this situation.

    Thank you.

    • Hi JKar275- appreciate your post and we agree that there’s nothing like PS Vita on the market, particularly due to its ability to play console quality games. Regarding game development, we always say platform launches are a marathon, not a sprint – and this isn’t just fluff – we mean it. Great publishing partners launched games this past year for the platform, and Vita owners are going to enjoy the games launching in 2013 – including titles from the largest publishers in the industry as well as great 1st party titles as well. Hope you enjoy the Black Friday deals this year and rest assured that the future promise of this platform remains very bright.

  • I bought my AC bundled Vita 10/31 because of hurricane Sandy, but i knew Ps+ was coming in November. So i thought it was worth it but if knew Ps+ would come a week before black friday I would have waited. All in all im happy with my purchase other then this 1 dead pixel in the center of the screen.

  • Man i really want a vita i even have the money for it but there are things that hold me back…
-No integrated memory (at least 4GB) -At&t only 3G service -expensive memory cards -prices on digital games (i want to go digital)
-most of all the fear of a better bundle appearing…
My dream vita bundle: Vita with Wifi / 3G (4G), 32GB & UP memory card, a game, and limited time to use the 3G feature. that’s when i’ll purchase my vita but in the mean time i’ll purchase psp/vita games that are going on sale to prepare :)

    ^OLD POST FROM PS+ vita…

looks like i have to wait for next year or christmas hopefully… :(

  • I worked 2 black Fridays at Gamestop and I have never seen that bundle other than the one I mentioned. Assistant Store Manager in the one in NY and I processed the shipment last year. Unless another store had that bundle you are talking about is another story, but mine and the 5 other stores that I have worked at didn’t have that bundle.

Also the weekly ad for Gamestop didn’t have that bundle either. I know Gamestop had us make bundles with the systems for the holiday to sell as much product at once.

  • Also, that black ops declassified game really should have been given away free to ps3 owners who bought Black Ops 2. Judging from reviews, Declassified isn’t a game good enough to buy at full price on its on.
Had i gotten it free with BO2, i might have played it every now and then on Vita. Won’t touch it now though.
