November 20th PlayStation Plus Update
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (PS Vita)
Free for Plus Members
Uncover the dark secret behind the 400-year-old massacre of a Spanish expedition and follow the murderous trail of an ancient and secret Spanish sect. Undiscovered temple ruins, vast karst caverns of Central America, legendary lost cities, fantastic action sequences, and of course, Mr. Nathan Drake himself bring this complete Uncharted experience to PS Vita.
Gravity Rush (PS Vita)
Free for Plus Members
Gain a new perspective as you take on the role of Kat, a strong-willed girl seeking the means to protect her future in a world that’s crumbling to pieces. Taking gravity into your own hands to deliver devastating attacks, uncover the secrets to your past and explore a mysterious world. One of my personal favorite PS Vita games is yours to play free with PS Plus.
WipEout 2048 (PS Vita)
Free for Plus Members
With PS Vita’s enhanced controls – including front touch, rear touch, and six-axis motion sensors, this entry into the venerable WipEout series is one of the best. Optimized for 23rd century racing, you can compete with up to 8 other players on 10 new tracks. Don’t forget to stay on top of those online leaderboards too!
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (PS Vita)
Free for Plus Members
One of the most unique and hilarious PS Vita titles also happens to be one of the best. A side-scrolling puzzle-platformer about an ornery mutant blob that, after being held captive in a lab that can only be described as something out of a retro sci-fi movie from the early ’50’s, escapes into the world and sets out on a path to consume everything. Use touch and the motion sensor functions combined with traditional analog stick controls to defeat the pathetic humans. Eat your way to freedom. It’s that fun.
Jet Set Radio (PS Vita)
Free for Plus Members
Tag, grind, and trick to the beat in SEGA’s hit game Jet Set Radio on PS Vita. Free for PS Plus members the same day it releases; fight for control of Tokyo-to, mark your turf with graffiti, tag walls, billboards, and even rival gang members! Perform tricks and flips on magnetically driven in-line skates, but watch out for the local police force. They’re not nice.
Final Fantasy Tactics (PS Vita, PSP)
Free for Plus Members
Originally released in 1998 on the original PlayStation, this first tactical RPG in the legendary Final Fantasy series, enthralled fans around the world with its unique artistic style and intricate storyline, and it’s certainly one of my top favorites of all time. A sublime strategy experience with an ever engrossing job system, tactical battles, tens of hours of gameplay, and remastered from the original, yours free with Plus.

An addictive blend of Tower Defense and cooperative online Action-RPG, Dungeon Defenders gives players 4 distinctive classes to lead through action-packed combat while upgrading their statistics, gathering tons of loot and inventory items, customizing & upgrading equipment, and developing unique class abilities. PlayStation Plus Update 11-19-2012 Frequently Asked Questions
I pay for Music Unlimited using auto-renew every month. How do I go about getting the special offers? With the 11/20 PlayStation Store update, there will be an option to purchase the one-year subscription, so you’ll need to select the one-year subscription package option to get the deal.
What time with the firmware update for PS Vita be live? It will be live at approximately 9:00pm PST on 11/19. The Instant Game Collection for PS Vita will be available after the PlayStation Store updates on 11/20.
I’m kinda wishing I didn’t pay full price for Uncharted on Vita. It really wasn’t good enough to pay that much for it, but as a free PS+ title, it’s awesome.
Morgan I would love to ask you to bring some half priced DLC on the table…
I would love some Deus EX, Dead Space, and the list goes on…
Apart from that… great update…
It may be towards the later part of the afternoon (PST); but the teams will be working as hard as they can to get out the update as quickly as possible.
Woooooo! Finally!!!!! Plus for Vita!! Not to mention dungeon defenders and sonic games! and and great thing giving discounts for sega games, I’m definetlly going to get some. Thanks for this awsome update and keep up the great work!
@4 I download my vita games on the ps3 all the time
Thank you sony! I have always thought that the price of PSN+ pays for itself….but the is even better….if that is possible. I am so glad that I held off on buying any of these games! I checked at my work and even just buying uncharted, gravity rush and wipeout comes to $110! This makes getting PSN+ for vita owners a must!
Oh! Question! My PSP isn’t internet enabled or anything like that but it is linked to my PS3. How will downloading FFTactics work? Just d/l it and transfer it to the psp? Will it be playable infinitely since my psp isn’t internet enabled? If so is there some sort of timestamp on it if my plus sub doesn’t get reupped?
Yeah, just download it on PS3, then transfer. You don’t need to be internet connected or anything to play the game once it’s transferred, but I’ll have to do some digging on the tech side to see how the PSP will know when to limit access.
I have heard good things about Dungeon Defenders hopefully tomorrow the store can update early so I can snatch it up. Also I cant wait to finish the Walking Dead I am sure it will end with a bang.
AWESOME! I can’t wait to install Gravity Rush. I got Uncharted with my Vita for my birthday a few weeks ago, so it was already free for me. :-) I picked a great time to finally get a Vita.
Dungeon Defenders.. a game that always interested me that looks fun but never found it interesting enough to pay for.. now I get it free!! I dont have a Vita (but my cousin does) Ill just be using his to play Gravity rush and Uncharted heh) finally since Double Dragon launched in Sept do I get a free game(s) I actually WANT/care about… woot!!! looks like Ill have to wait til the first week of Feb before it finally happens again :(
Morgan, I need you to find something out for me. WIth the automatic updates for Vita with Plus, will we still be able to read the patch release notes for the updates that were downloaded? That’s one of the huge perks of Vita over PS3; being able to see what the patch actually does.
Also, why does Sega keep offering discounts on the games i don’t care about. They need to discount Sonic Generations. Its still $30 on psn, when the disk is $15 at some retail places.
now i remember seeing something when i was going to preorder playstaion all stars that the game will be available 12:01 am est on nov 20th and u get all the preorder bonus costumes as well. now is that true
Wow, that’s a HUGE update for Vita!! Too bad I don’t own one… Can’t complain, Dungeon Defenders looks interesting and the Sonic bundle sounds WAY to good.
This is a great ps+ update, but I hope vita users are aware – it also has an ulterior motive. Look at all those free vita games, they take up a good amount of space, now I need to buy a bigger proprietary sony memory card! $99 there’s your free games.
everyone the black ops bug issiue sould be fixed bye tommorew ownly if you guys can stop calling actavstion none stop i can have this resolved in 20min but not if actavsion close the phone line so please stop calling i already fixed this problem with xbox 360 i have to tell actavsion what to do so they can call sony after for the pacth they need to fix it
This is a great week. Everyone gets their Vita stuff, I will get one on Black Friday, hopefully, and I will without a doubt get Music Unlimited for such an insane discount. Great work this week Sony. Hope to hear of some PSN ‘Black Friday’ sales sometime today, or tomorrow.
I’m excited to see Plus coming to Vita though. Any idea when the Vita update will occur today?
Also, Dungeon Defenders is a really fun game. Bought it when it first came out. Only stopped playing because people keep kicking you out of their game whenever you try to join, which is a pain. Hopefully now that more people are getting to play it, the community will be alittle less obnoxious.
Will PS+ for Vita be a weekly update like the PS3 or monthly? How many games can we expect each month? Very excited about plus for the Vita. Just bought my girlfriend the Assassins creed Vita bundle and got her plus, She is supper stoked for Uncharted. Thank you Playstation!
Wow! This has been the best month ever. First RE5. Then Quantum Conundrum, which is simply wonderful. Its the only game thats even come close to making me feel the way Portal 2 did. I love how they incorporated all the dimensions into the later puzzles. I felt so accomplised every time I solved one. Now we’re getting Dungeon Defenders and Sonic 1 + 2. Sonic 2 was my favorite game growing up. I played a demo for DD a few weeks back and it was really fun. Its like a mix of tower defense and a dungeon crawler/rpg with all the looting and leveling up. Definetly meant to be played with multiple people. Looking forward to digging deep into this one tomorrow. Thanks Plus!!!
I don’t have a Vita/PSP, and already have Sonic 1 & 2 from the last time they were offered free to PS Plus, but Dungeon Defenders is a welcome addition.
Very impressive update. Definitely gave this one a 5. I am very surprised and happy with the Music Unlimited discount. It’s pretty awesome to listen to anything I want while playing Vita games. The Vita Plus games are also impressive. You are giving us some of your best games here. Thanks for your hard work, guys.
Awesome stuff. Now I NEED to upgrade my Vita’s memory card lol. Sorry to be off topic but if I pre-order PSASBR on PSN (59.99 for PS3) do I get the Vita version? Please some1 awnser :)
If my PS+ account is on my master account/PS3 & my sub account (which is what I normally use since I made it before I was 18) that’s tied to the master account is on my Vita, can I still take advantage of PS+ content on the Vita the same way I’ve been able to get PS+ games/discounts on my PS3?
You should be able to take advantage of the offer while that 30 Day Plus Trial is active; though I certainly hope you’ll choose to stick around longer than 30 days!
I’m kinda wishing I didn’t pay full price for Uncharted on Vita. It really wasn’t good enough to pay that much for it, but as a free PS+ title, it’s awesome.
Thats some awesome games Free for Vita….great start Sony.
Glad to see plus for Vita finally up and running. Hope to see more PSP game support with the 2.0 firmware update
Will we be able to download the Vita games through our PS3 and then transfer them to our Vitas?
Yep.
