Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (PS Vita)

Free for Plus Members

One of the most unique and hilarious PS Vita titles also happens to be one of the best. A side-scrolling puzzle-platformer about an ornery mutant blob that, after being held captive in a lab that can only be described as something out of a retro sci-fi movie from the early ’50’s, escapes into the world and sets out on a path to consume everything. Use touch and the motion sensor functions combined with traditional analog stick controls to defeat the pathetic humans. Eat your way to freedom. It’s that fun.
Jet Set Radio (PS Vita)

Free for Plus Members

Tag, grind, and trick to the beat in SEGA’s hit game Jet Set Radio on PS Vita. Free for PS Plus members the same day it releases; fight for control of Tokyo-to, mark your turf with graffiti, tag walls, billboards, and even rival gang members! Perform tricks and flips on magnetically driven in-line skates, but watch out for the local police force. They’re not nice.

  • please can someone help me i need to know if you have to besigned in to the playstation network to play he free playstation plus games when you are on the go

  • the ps vita ps+ has updated not the ps3 yet

  • It’s updated here.

  • #399 from what I remember Morgan saying, no you do not have to be signed into playstation network to play them

  • You guys know if we’ll need to check for updates (PS Store screen) or if it’ll just pop-up as any other alert. Or even if we’ll need to start the PS Store app to update it?

I’m going crazy here! Considering the download time, I’ll probably play the games tomorrow night, PSN is really slow today. I get that it’s being crazily accessed today, but I believe that those so-much-discussed-by-the-media update fees Sony’s charging the developers/studios should pay for better servers and connection speed for PSN. Right?

  • hard day for a small mem card

I don’t see that here, I’m actually copying my stuff to online storage, but no subscribe option, it’s actually like I’m subscribed already (and I was, I subscribed through the PS3 a few days ago).

  • PS+ is up.

Took me 10 minutes to download Gravity Rush, and now 17 minutes estimated for Uncharted.. guess if your internet speed is fine, you shouldn’t run into issues about downloads being slow.

How fast is your internet? So I can have a estimate here.

10mbit here, but I’m not getting the regular 1MB/s. But when I download from the PC or test my speed connection on my phones, it’s all up and good. It’s only me=>PSN that’s not that good ;(

  • Tried that on Uncharted and gravity rush, and it asks em to buy it.. :S

  • not ready yet comming soon

    Try this:
    – Close the PS Stora App
    – Start the “Content Manager” app and see if “Online Storage” is available.
    – If not, sorry.
    – If so, try transferring your saves to the cloud
    – Start the PS Store ans see if PS Plus stuff are now available.

  • Playstation Plus is an unbelievable package! 7 free games, Music Unlimited for a year for 12 bucks, and numerous discounts. This program has truly converted me and I will never buy another type of subscription again (if you know what I mean)

    Done! Still the same :S

  • EU Ps+ isn’t up yet to my belief, and you’re getting different games from what is posted here.. well 4 games with Chronovolt instead of Wipeout.

  • + EZaxess, guess there is no other option but to wait :) thanks to all

  • Yes it’s out there now! At least in the US Store, just go to the PSN Store inside the PS Vita, and touch the tab called New Releases; there will be a new option called “Playstation Plus”, enter in that option. You will now see a list of the new free games of PS+ for PS Vita.

  • I am getting an error when I try to download the sonic 1 and 2 bundle. It tells me I can not download it because I already own 2. Is this an error or can I not own Sonic 1 because I already Sonic 2?

  • Well, I’m getting lame 50kb/s here. And that’s on the PS3, wired to the router. My internet is pretty normal for everything else. 654 min to download Gravity Rush (1453 MB). 10mbit internet here…

Is there anything I can do? I actually noticed PSn slow a few days ago. Change DNS? Something like that would make it work faster?

  • @425
I had the same problem with Sonic 1 and Sonic 2.
What I did was exit the store and went into my account management and went into Download list and it downloaded them right away that way.
Now I am just waiting on Dungeon Defender to finish downloading and then for Walking dead Ep.5 to show up.

  • The new PS3 store on the PS3 is really awesome. They should have used that layout on the PS Vita as well.

When I do a Internet Connection Test, the Vita says

    TEST 1
    – – – – – – – – –
    NAT: Type 2
    Connection Speed (Download): 1.2 Mbps
    Connection Speed (Upload): 214 Kbps

    TEST 2
    – – – – – – – – –
    NAT: Type 2
    Connection Speed (Download): 144.5 Kbps
    Connection Speed (Upload): 221 Kbps

I guess it’s really inconsistent here. But again, it’s just PSN ;(

  • LOL! Just got a “Gravity Rush could not download” alert.

You guys are the master, what ports should I open on my router so PSN should work properly. I never set it, to be honest. Just found out checking my router.

  • Internet connection test is nothing but BS on the PS systems, I get numbers like that all the time, but my Dinosaur of a CPU is running 54 mbs on downloads and Netflix and such. Pretty much its just saying it is functioning

  • Yeah this fantastic. Sometimes I feel remorse about my Xbox Live subscription. I haven’t once felt that way with Plus. In fact every month I feel even more satisfied in my choice to have a plus subscription. Even one month there is a free or discounted game I don’t want – I know there is someone out there who is probably pumped on it – and that is a cool thing.

  • I just spoke with someone at Playstation Support and they told me that since I already owned 2 from the last time Plus offered it I would not be able to download this pack and would not be able to get Sonic 1 without paying full price for it. Why is PSN set up like that? It is pretty much a screw you to early adopters of plus and to people that have previously downloaded 1 of the games.

  • @432
When I went into the download list in account management they were not just one download I had to download 1 at a time, I recommend checking in there just to be sure I dont trust anything customer service says on the phone

  • Awesome, thank you Sony ^^

  • this update is amazing! but i have a small problem: can’t download the sonic bundle, maybe because i already own Sonic 2? is there a way to fix it?

  • Hey guys, any plus members who recieved Sonic 2 during last year’s PSN outage can’t download the Sonic Classic Bundle. It denies me, saying that because I already own Sonic 2 I can’t get the bundle, and Sonic 1 can’t be recieved on the plus offer alone. Any help for this?

  • I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO so very disappointed. WOW.. dungeon defenders is HORRIBLE.. next week better be good… morgan c’mon we need something good. I couldn’t even get to play the first mission on dungeon defenders it says 6 enemies. but I pressed EVERY button and it wouldnt let me through to do it -_- I got fustrated and deleted it… that game was horrible… just unbelievably HORRIBLE.. the sonic games took me back to Sega days but im just curious, how does an old Sega game have trophies but I don’t believe Syphon filter or Spyro has them????…. whats with that?

I hear you. Same problem here.

Someone told here that you have to pay for it if you’re really into it.

So much for free games, hum? Hope they fix it somehow.

  • Alright Morgoloid I d/l FFTactics onto my psp. My plus sub runs out on Dec 26th.( I will be re-upping btw you magnificent bastards! :P) and am curious as to what happens if I let the sub die. There is a timestamp under the info panel for the game through dec 26th. Will I have to redownload from my PS3 for it to register as my account being active again? Did any of that make sense? Thanks!

  • They should fix it. I don’t think it’s fair to be penalized for no reason at all. All they need to do is set Sonic 1 and 2 to be free for plus members individually instead of just as a bundle. Problem solved.

  • Oh. I don’t have a Vita yet(not sure if I will get one but dammit I want P4!) but I added all the Vita games so if I do one day decide to grab one I will not have missed out on the titles that rotated out. Recommend others do the same! :D

  • Well this week sucked. I already have whats on offer for PS3 and I dont have a vita…

I can only hope you guys make it up by giving us a massive amount of stuff come december.

  • how can i download these game?! it wasn’t anything changed in PSN !

  • I got Sonic 2 way back when, but never got Sonic 1. Apparently, having Sonic 2 makes me ineligible for the Sonic Classic bundle. Can something be done about that?

  • I’m using my 30 days trial plus which I got through liking the Facebook page, will i be able to got this free games ?or i have to switch to paid plus account to got it ?
    Thanks

  • ok im not being mean about it, But yeah #446 you will be able to download and play the content… When the month is done the games will be expired, However if you delete them no worries it will be saved in your game collection, so you can re download and play on if you decide to continue your plus.

  • also on another note 446, when have you see and full trial not be able to use it for its main purposes ya know? like Nextflix 30 day trial but you can’t watch movies or shows.. get what i mean? sorry if thats rude..
