  • @ Jin_Kasunagi, did it say you were being charged when you checked out at the very last step before you order it?

Just curious, maybe I should hold off on downloading stuff too early next time before they get the kinks out. Or did you just download away without seeing if you were getting accidentally charged?

  • There’s currently no PS+ discount showing up on the PS3 version of Puddle.

  • No PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale avatars?!!

  • @Elvick_ You shouldn’t have had to sift through themes or DLC to find the Ni No Kuni demo. I just went to New PS3 Demos and it was right there.

  • Never mind– the PS3 PS+ discount shows up when the item is in the cart, it’s just missing from the game page.

  • Nope– the PS3 PS+ Puddle discount is listed on the item in the shopping cart, but the full-price, undiscounted total is being applied to the cart total– so yes, there’s still a problem.

  • I just played through the Rotastic demo. Twice. It was pretty fun. Seems good for those times when you don’t want a big blockbuster action game and want something simple to pass the time. It’s pretty satisfying when you get the hang of timing your swings just right. Nice, casual game. :)

  • After the last few weeks of PS Plus updates, I feel compelled to send you guys more money out of guilt.

  • @105 It was saying Free in yellow letters.
    But was charged anyway =/
I bought it with other stuff so I just realized when the e-mail arrived -_-

@108 It’s the first time this happens =0

    • If you haven’t already, please contact customer service. I’m just curious though — it may have had the Free Plus banner, but when you went to your cart to checkout was there a price or did it say $0.00?

  • And never mind again– it works fine if you go through the PS+ page, which was still down earlier.

  • Why can’t I see the discounted prices for PS + members on my Vita? For example, Field Commander for the PSP is still showing up as $9.99 when this post says it is on sale for $2.50.

  • I can’t find need for speed most wanted (ps2 version) in the PS2 classics section. Can someone explain me why it disappeared?
Please help me, I want to play this game sooo bad.

  • Elvick_: “I shouldn’t have to shift through a bajillion *** themes just to find a new game”

    Somehow I don’t see that as a problem…

I’ve never felt compelled to complain about ***** showing up in my face, but that’s just me. :)

  • why are the PSN games that are on sale NOTTT showing up on psn ? come on sony im ready to toss some money your way, please solve this.

  • I can’t find the Pluss Disscount of Acceleration of Suguri =(

  • I know Sony worked very hard on the new store, but I’d like to voice my opinion. I don’t like it. It feels much slower. It has to login like an app. Its clunky. It’s cumbersome. Its plain out awful to navigate. I couldn’t dislike it more.

  • @117 I’d be careful in the future when purchasing stuff right after the store updates. I was having some problems with the PS3 version of Puddle not showing the correct, discounted price, and then showing it but not applying it, and I’ve seen this kind of problem a lot on PSN in hours immediately following the store updates. It’s almost as if the data on the store lags and can take an hour or two or three to correctly update with all of the new information, even after the changes in the store have supposedly gone live. Just something to keep an eye on in the future so that you don’t have to try to chase down customer service for refunds. Either a) wait a couple of hours after the store update to purchase your games, or b) really look at those prices and totals before you submit payment on them.

  • Thanks for the meaty update! Very much looking forward to seeing what next week brings :)

  • B00bs is censored? Why?

  • @Alessandrorpm They took the ps2 version off the store because of license issues, morgan said so on last weeks post. Which is why I asked the question, “What happens when you buy this game and it gets taken off the psn? Do you have access to it via your download list while everyone else does not? Or are you out the money you payed for the game and if you hdd ever fails, is it gone forever?” This is why I refuse to believe that digital is better than a physical copy. Oh no a license issue, that has nothing to do with the game I actually own. Oh and the whole, they can’t even get discounts right for you people who pay for plus. You pay for a service that is supposed to give you free stuff, yet a majority of you have to hit up customer support when you are charged for that “free” item. At least 3 weeks now where people have to get a refund on a plus game or bundle that is missing dlc.

  • bioshock 2 is trying to charge me 19.99$ when i put the game in my cart instead of free. Just thought you guys should be aware of the issue if you aren’t already.

    Thanks

  • @124 I totally agree with you. Not only does it feel slower, all of the big icons and spreads feel set up to appeal to someone who is taken in by big, bright, shiny objects and who has ADD. But when you’re actually trying to scroll around and look through lists of things, you can only view a substantially fewer number of items on the screen at one time, so much that it feels awkward, and it takes a long, long time to scroll through lists and databases of games.

The store is obviously now set up like the candy rack at a supermarket– to appeal to the impluse buyer. And the most recent stuff is front and center. But the site is extremely inefficient and unfriendly for those wanting to browse through libraries and look for older games and take a look around, and the way the libraries themselves have been organized and segregated are again, extremely customer-unfriendly. It feels punishing to try to browse around the store right now.

  • I was excited about Bioshock 2 but when I went to check it out, it charged me $19.99 even though I am a Plus member. What’s the deal with that?

    • Try removing it from your cart; exiting the Store, and trying again. Do not proceed with the transaction unless it’s showing $0.00. Apologies for the inconvenience there, but it should resolve itself soon.

  • Is there a discount for the Magic Gathering 2013 game?

  • Please bring the NBA LEAGUE PASS BROADBAND for PS3 and….
NBA LEAGUE PASS MOBILE for PSVITA!!

  • O.o Do my eyes deceive me? After many loooong weeks of waiting, there’s actually some new PSOne classics!!!??? And Mass Effect 1 for $15? I’ve been wanting to play that game for ages!!!!! Thanks a bunch Sony.

  • @skrawney, #128 Obviously that’s also going to be a huge issue when people purchase a game but don’t have the room on their HD to download it. I currently have a bunch of games waiting to be downloaded until I can finish others and clear the HD space (and I have a 320GB HD, so it’s not tiny). If those games are removed and unavailable by the time I’m able to download them, I’m going to be extremely upset. If Sony can’t implement a way to protect against this, and it becomes an ongoing problem, it’s going to be a huge wall against digital really finding its legs.

  • Morgan,

First off, thanks for your reply on the PS Plus Update to my question about free games and downloading them when away from home. I noticed that someone posted a reply about maybe creating an app that would allow us to make purchases while not at our PS3, which is a great idea. The guy was a little rude in how he addressed his suggestion, but I hope Sony considers creating one. I’d use it a lot.

Secondly, I noticed that Christmas is on Tuesday this year. Will there still be a PSN update that day? Just curious.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply!

  • @64 Morgan u guys had it listed and now its gone u guys really need to stay on top of things according to the law the prices u listed mean they only need to be charged that

  • While I agree with everyone that the new store is highly flawed, I still find it funny how many folks are mentioning that it’s all shiny graphics now and no functionality. I’m thinking to myself, “That’s exactly what the problem is with most video games these days.” All shiny graphics, crappy gameplay. Yet everyone wants drop-dead gorgeous graphics and doesn’t seem to mind the shallow gameplay.

Hopefully this experiment with the store has shown everyone that graphics don’t matter. With the store, functionality is what’s most important, and when it comes to games, graphics just need to be sharp and clean enough so that they don’t hurt your eyes. That’s all. They don’t need to be complex. Innovative gameplay, responsive controls, and immersive environments are a lot more important.

  • NI no Kuni!!

  • Will there be Christmas discounts on DLC and add-ons for older games like Asura’s Wrath, Castlevania LoS, Prince of Persia etc? I’ve got my fingers crossed.

  • so they probably posted next week sale in this post… so imcompetent.
funny how theres NO customer law applies on psn store. they can just edit and act like nothing happen,
    despicable.

    • I hadn’t been following any of the information on this one, but sounds like this info wasn’t ready for prime time. If there is ever any sort of advertising at the actual point of commerce (the PS Store), and you click through and it doesn’t fulfill the advertised price; then we will ensure you get taken care of. But in a space like this where there are a ton of different products to account for, there may be errors that get through for a small timeframe, but it’s never anyone’s intention to mislead. Very sorry for the mistake.

  • @138 If ‘everyone’ wanted that, Final Fantasy VII wouldn’t still be so popular.

  • what does
    this update do?

  • Suikoden 3 on the PSN please.

  • @devilmosh

You took the word “everyone” just a little to literally. You know what I meant. And you know it’s true too. OK let me fix it for you. Almost everyone. Most people. Especially the younger gamers. There. Better?

Obviously not everyone, because I’m part of “everyone” and I don’t care about graphics. Some of the older gamers (my peers) also don’t place much importance on it.

RPG’s are different anyway. Especially FF fans, whom are diehards.

  • Morgan,

The PSN Store is incredibly slow, takes forever to load up and it’s not smooth going from one section of the store to the next. There’s also some issues with the UX design, such as having to click multiple times unnecessarily just to download a demo. I hope you guys are aware of it and working on improving it. I do like the new look, but improvements in performance and some of the UX design are needed in order to reach that next level.

Also, I would like you to comment on why we haven’t seen crackle and hulu + apps on vita? They were promised at E3 but are nowhere to be found. I think the vita would benefit a lot from non game apps, but a las, we get a new one once every 2 months or so….

  • By the way, the 2.01 PS Vita update freezes when I try to watch a 1024 x 576 video. It used to be able to play those types of videos just fine. We got screwed.

  • #1-Yes Morgan, you do know what he is talking about.
There were a couple handful of games heavily discounted,
and now they’re deleted from the update.
Why not say, yes North America, you are absolutely correct, I
Morgan Haro have made a mistake and added next Tuesday’s
Sales onto today’s post. Instead of doing that, you flat out lied. Yes, Lied
    To him/all of us.
#2-Prices are wrong compared to the Plus post yesterday (PUDDLE).
#3-Why on earth would these “classic gem imports” even be considered if
We can’t play them on our Vitas & PSPs?? That makes no sense whatsoever!!
#4-People getting charged yet again for “free” plus games….smh Morgan…smh.

    • #1 nope really didn’t know. I came in late to this store update and hadn’t been following it. working on other stuff.
#2 – had the team fix the plus post that had the wrong info
#4 – minor store hiccup; but if anyone is accidentally charged for these games, we’ll ensure they get an automated refund. although it will take a few weeks to secure.

the above is nothing to cheer about; but we’ll be reviewing the processes on our end to ensure that these hiccups happen less frequently. thanks for the feedback!

i would really like some of my UMD’s to become digital so i can play them with my vita, star ocean remakes, FF 1,2 yu-gi-oh 1,2,3,4,5,6

plus there are over 2000 ps1 and ps2 games each, why do we have such slim pickings on ps1 and ps2 games?

i am sorry if i am coming across as b*tching/moaning, i dont mean to.

also can are downloaded list be sorted or filtered or something as looking for something to re-download is a pain.
thanks for the update downloading a bunch of things :) so excited
