  • @196 what he is saying he can do it himself. you can sort the folder yourself. it does auto maticly you have set it like that. The same way you do pictures

  • Ok so, folder 1 is labeled 1-10, then folder 2 is labeled Aa-Am, then folder 3 is labeled An-Az. Yeah you will have a lot of folders but 55 folders is less than 1000 or however many games you have and play regularly somehow. And I just checked and all the folders I made are in order. Classics, Demo, Fighters, Minis, PS1, PS2. Any of that out of order? Yeah I agree its a pain, but I don’t pay the programmers either.

  • I have no doubt that most of the people at SCEA are very hard working but what is up with the constant mistakes? Every other major company I deal with everyday runs like a well oiled machine and everything just works as it should. They make mistakes maybe a few times per year. These blunders seem like a weekly occurrence at SCEA.

  • Well idk what to tell you then. Seems like every time a blog post member says they pass on feedback, they seem to completely miss the sorting posts. I agree they have officially dropped the ball on sorting. It has been a year though, how long will you cry for food before you realize nobody is going to give you any?

  • @Skrawney,

As long as I am allowed to comment and notice ways to make my (and others’) experience better, I will say what should be done.

Just because a fix hasn’t been made yet doesn’t mean that it will never happen, and the fact that at least one other person agrees with me (years after the problem has been addressed and unresolved) shows that it’s a problem that will not rest.

Until I get official word from PlayStation’s support telling me that they hate the alphabet and want me to stop leaving suggestions, I’m going to continue asking for it.

  • Ok then, every tues lets come in here and just bomb the weekly update with posts about sorting. Sound good?

  • It’s a date. I’ll meet you same time next week?

Unless there’s a patch, though. I’m going to comment on patches, too.

  • So, i read of a Guitar hero DLC sale that is suppose to start this week. What happens?! I sign on to my PS3 and no sale. Sony where is the scheduled sale content for this week?

  • Ben is correct. We are as Sony’s customer’s &
    them what is what.

    We want/need custom file sorting!!

It is a feature that most of us actually ask for to
make our gaming activities much smoother/enjoying.

  • @Saintaqua Maybe Morgan wasnt lying but to me it seems like more of a tease then a slip up, if thats the case then good tease guys I look forward to buying some of those games next week and yes ever since the new store every week has had slip ups and mistakes. Perhaps they are just getting used to the new store. The only slip up that I actually feel was serious was the Plus discount for the Alice ultimate bundle, was going to get it but the Plus price never showed up only to read later that it finally showed up the last day. That being said Plus is still a heck of a deal and Sony is still #1 in my book.

  • Typo* We as Sony’s customer’s need to tell them how to enhance the PS3 and our gaming experience.

I used my cel for this…should have used my Brand New White Vita…
Which I am loving by the way…!!

  • I agree, I just don’t like digital. This is where we differ, I can just put in whatever game I want. You guys have to look for a specific game, but I am willing to hit them with tons of “How come there is no sorting in the ps3 xmb” posts with you guys. Just make sure they are sony posts, not game devs posts.

  • why “only ps3” on PSone classics??? where is the ps vita support we need more classics titles for vita? and about DJMax Technika Tune, thanks sony :D

  • There needs to be an “understanding” with publishers about PS Plus. Not to mention there also needs to be demo’s for every game, just like how Microsoft does for their online service. What is my motivation for buying DJMax Technika Tune right now for my Vita? Is it the absurd $44.99 price point when there isn’t a physical copy to sink into production costs? Is it the lack of PS Plus discount? Is it also the lack of a demo? No thank you.

  • A few suggestions if I may:

    1. Can you please work with Konami to get Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops on the PS Vita store? We are the only region that can’t play it on our Vitas.

    2. Can you PLEASE give us ways to organize our download lists? ANY WAY TO ORGANIZE THEM!!! We’ve been demanding this for years and no one has mentioned a word about it.

    3. Can you give us back the option to buy the protection plan in the store? It was removed when the new store was introduced and I’m a little surprised at that. I paid for it over the phone but still…

Please at least consider my suggestions. Thanks.

  • Just FYI, if Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days ever goes on sale, I’ll snatch it up immediately.

  • I have a question to anyone kind enough to answer. If I download a free ps plus game then delete it later after it has been removed from the Instant Game Collection can I download the game again from my download history free of charge or will it be removed from my history?

    Thanks in Advance

  • @jsaid1189,

Yes, when I upgraded my HDD, I downloaded WipEout (one of the first PS+ games) without a problem. I’d say, if you’re HDD is full, still “purchase” the game, so it will always be in your download history.

However, if you end your Plus subscription, you lose the rights to the game, and you won’t be able to play them, even if you’ve downloaded it.

  • hey cant wait for this update look very good !
also do you what we are getting next week ?

  • Those discount Plus games that were on the blog when the update first posted, I hope that weren’t a mistake. Soooo many games that wanted. Next week maybe?

  • @ Bcrazyman
    Well than Good news!
You don’t have to wait for this update… the store updated many hours ago. Enjoy! :)

  • OMG I didn’t know the Dragon’s Dogma Hard Mode was coming TODAY!! Yay!!

That and Zanac X Zanac for me!

  • I have been thinking of getting Jak and Daxter for quite a while now, I guess with the new price, I can just get it from PS Store now. Not to mention Mass Effect Triology, BioShock 2 and probably Guardians of Middle-Earth, lots of games to get this month.

BTW Nice update, I have seen lots of people complaining about PS+ content (and maybe they are right), but for someone who got PS3 just a while back, all the games I am getting are the ones that are present on my wish list but I haven’t gotten around to buying them yet, so loving all the updates.

P.S: I also agree with everyone requesting alphabetical ordering. I only have a dozen or so games installed at the moment, and I can notice the issue, this would make organizing games much easier.

  • Mass Effect rules!

  • @200 Seems to be fixed by now, but yeah. Try redownloading as it may have gotten corrupted and did you add/remove any storage devices at the time of installing?

  • @223 I think there might be a Jak & Daxter collection out, but not sure. Also, get BioShock 1. I already own both BioShock 1 & 2 on disc.

  • Six ps1 games & not one is even good, I will replace them with better games & ill even add games that NEED to be added to the US store.

Art Camion Sugorokuden = Suikoden II
LUP Salad = Dragon Warrior 7
    Vehicle Cavalier = Saga Frontier 1 & 2
    Zanac X Zanac = Mega man legends 1 & 2
Makeruna Makendo 2 = Brave Fencer Musashi
    Finger Flashing = Bushido Blade 1 & 2

    Einhänder
    Tobal No. 1
    Legend of Legaia
    Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
    Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete
Alundra 2: A New Legend Begins
    Armored Core
    Armored Core: Project Phantasma
    Armored Core: Master of Arena
    Breath of Fire III
    Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring
    King’s Field (JP import)
    King’s Field II
    King’s Field III
    Mega Man 8
    Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
    PaRappa the Rapper
    Star Ocean: The Second Story
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

  • My guess is there is some technical reason they had to make the store like an app. There is a reason they had to do it. I doubt they will ever admit that a vast majority of PSN users do not like the new store. Does anyone acctually like the new store, or do you just tolerate it? I honestly couldn’t dislike the store more. It’s like they found out how I would not like it, and made it exactly like that.

  • Okay never mind. Not getting Zanac anymore if I can’t play it on my PSP or Vita. Bah.

  • @ Skrawney: thanks for the answer

  • Suggestions: (post 1 of 2)

    1. Waaaaay too many pricing mistakes in posts!
You’re misleading all of us here. I expected Puddle for Vita to be $2.80 and the Uncharted expansion packs to be $1.99.

    2. If you make a mistake, ACKNOWLEDGE it in the blog post. Don’t just delete the info, or change it as if nothing had happened.
You posed a long list of games today with awesome sales that I got excited about at work, only to see them completely removed from the post!

  • Suggestions: (post 2 of 2)

    For your higher up bosses:

    1. Store is painfully slow, and a chore to browse through.
Look at my PSN history. I’ve been a customer since launch. I’ve stopped going into the store to browse unless I know exactly what I want. And I wish I could reply on this Blog post to just tell me, but as you can see there are mistakes there too.

    2. Allow for sorting in the download history list.
As I said above, I’ve been using the PSN store since 2006 so I have a TON of items in that list. Do you realize how slow it is to go through that in my Vita and PS3 to find something I downloaded years ago? I’ve bought so much I’ve forgotten some of it. Help me out!

    3. Allow for A-Z sorting within custom folders on PS3
With a few hundred PSN, PS1, PSP, Vita, minis, etc etc games on PS3. This is a must for the FW.

    4. Folders for Vita
My Vita can’t fit more games and I’ve only used half of my 32GB mem card.
    Something is wrong there.

  • Bonus suggestion post:

-Every PSP, mini, and PS1 title needs to be available directly on Vita from Day 1.
At this point, there’s no excuse not to.

The six new PS1 Classics out up today say PS3 only. Why?
They work on Vita when you transfer them via PS3.
They even show up as downloadable on the Vita download history only after you buy them on PS3.

The only problem is they’re not for sale directly on the Vita. What is the reason for that when they clearly do work?!

And now that I’ve mentioned this, please don’t take that feature away like you did with FInal Fantasy III for a few weeks.

Seems to be a goof, but not sure. LBP 2 doesn’t have these DLCs. But there is no mention of DLC for LBP Karting on the blog post. Fix this.

    • Yeah, it should say “LBP” (note, the original game, not LBP2) not “LBP Vita”, I’ll have that changed. If you’re having trouble finding these add-ons for LBP PS3, try going to the LBP product page and looking through the add-ons there.

  • @231 We get #2 suggestion over on xbox many times. We can already do that on the website, just not on the console.

  • Will they be adding DLC (more songs?) in the future with DJ Max Technika? I know they are doing it on the Japan PSN.

  • @Morgan Haro (in response to @64 saintaqua) – Oh, you did NOT do just that.

…Was my initial response, but seeing your reply to @141 Cyb3rfr34k-iso made it clear that you just weren’t “there” for its presence. However, a response like THAT could lead me to think you firmly among those the likes of Jim Sterling rails against. Sony and customer service (not just THE Customer Service, but anything dealing with the end-user) has been a rocky road at best, but that read like such a scumbag move. If it had just a bit more said, like, “…but I’ll look into it,” or, “…but maybe the post was edited before I saw it,” we’d know that you weren’t complicit with the “cover-up”.

And to think I was hoping to sink into some of those deals later (as in on Wednesday, when the Store is finally back to working order; how is it the “faster, HTML5-based” Store app (aaaapp…) can chug about like a flipbook?). Well, next Wednesday, I guess!

  • @151 PrimeroIncognito – THIS. SO HARD. Why would I want DLC sorted into categories BEFORE they’re sorted by game? Add-on can’t be run without a game, so I would logically look for the game first, and THEN see what kind of DLC I want (such as the character licenses for Neptunia mk2 last week, as opposed to all those costumes). I know there’s a DLC list on a game’s page, but there’s no way to SORT them, so it’s off to a manual scroll (like in the Download List!). That, and since some “Full Games” are still disc-only, I’m not sure if they have game pages, but this is conjecture on my part; I wouldn’t be surprised if this, for once, isn’t an issue.

@163 BenTheWicked – Just change the way games sort. Still no alphabetical (which there should), but you can sort by when they were last played (though for some reason games that haven’t been booted up yet like to float at the top regardless), and if you insist on getting them alphabetical for the time being, just go through…all those games…booting them up…in reverse alphabetical order…

Okay, WHY are these our two options for a sorting system libraries have used for seemingly forever?

  • @Anyone chuffed over UNCHARTED: Fight for Fortune’s “Day 1 DLC” – It’s separated so you don’t have to buy those parts. For a lower price, you get the game itself and the cards based on a few Uncharted titles. However, I’m in agreement about the expansions costing more combined than the game itself, but considering the content is not just “new” cards, but added campaign, it’s not entirely despicable. Still, $1.99 is a much more appealing price.

  • Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 DLCs are listed as “50% off” but when I put them in the cart it display the full prices instead of 50% prices….

    Is it an error?

  • MASS EFFECT!!!!

I have ME2 and ME3 and I would buy the collection if it would actually include ALL of the DLC. I think I will just wait to see if that happens because DLC are so overpriced it isnt funny (example – Fallout 3 New Vegas DLC are more expensive than buying the Ultimate edition – it makes no sense).

I may get the bug and buy it on PSN just to have it while waiting for EA to get it’s head out of a dark, dark place.

  • Hi there, any updates on getting the Course Pack for GT5 available again on the US PS Store? Thanks for bringing back the Speed and Motegi DLCs!

  • BioShock 2! Thats awesome. Looking at just downloading Far Cry 3 instead of buying the disc.

  • Two questions
    1. Is Mass Effect released on disc or digital only like Killzone HD?
    2. Can I import Mass Effect save into Mass effect 2 or does only the comic on Mass Effect 2 carry over the choices?

    Thanks

  • Omg!!! Guilty Gear here at last!!! YES!!!

  • Thanks for the reply Grace its nice to know that we can keep those funds from the promotion and they do not expire if its already added to our wallet.

  • Mass Effect… now I can get rid of my PC version and start a new character from the beginning to the end, at last… Thanks Bioware. It’s a great Chrismas present, even if it’s not free :)

  • Come on, waht’s going on with you!?!? Bioshock 2 for the PSN+?!
Why the hell the European version of PSN gets Batman Arkhan CITY (CITY! I’M TELLING YOU, CITY!!!!) nad we, on america, Bioshock?!
Not saying that is not a good game but, look at the european updates!!!! Is not even compare with the America’s one!!!!!!!!!!
Why I’m asking you, WHY!?!??! Why european gets the real goods?!

  • Every week I just get more and more pissed off with Sony, I try and they just keep doing worse.
    – My pre-order DLC in PSABR doesn’t work on my Vita, the system I bought the game for and no one fixed this yet,
    – ALL I’ve wanted to do is Play crash Bandicoot 2 and CTR from my PS Vita more then anything!! And for some reasonSony chooses NOT to get the game up for Vita in NA when EU had it from long time, How the he.. Am I suppose to respond to this.
    – FFV really every FF on PSOne works on Vita but FFV, really and no one is doing anything about this.. really.
    – DL List in the PS Store is just completely annoying no alphabetical or search!
This is just a few issues
I was screwed by Sony with the LBP Vita Pre-order DLC and NO ONE would respond to me on the blog and would ignore me etc.

    • Unfortunately I won’t be able to address all your points, but in regards to the PSASBR pre-order DLC, I just want to confirm the problem you’re having as it’s not really clear. Did you buy it off PSN or retail? Did you only buy the Vita version? Is a code not working? The more details you can provide the better. :) I know the team is working to correct some issues with pre-order DLC for PSASBR, but not sure what specific issue you’re having.

  • thanks so much for ME1 … snagged it last night & got my character up & running. always knew there was a reason I waited on playing my disc copies of ME 2 & 3 …. fantastic ! as to the IGC games, everything is relative & not all will be happy with the choices … for example, I own Batman AA & AC, so for me, Bioshock 2 is something I don’t own & have never considered before, but with PSABR, I have played as Big Daddy & my interest is increased. as well, Sony is using the plus service as a marketing tool – we all understand that, right ? as Bioshock Infinite will drop soon, they want to increase awareness & buzz for the launch … some of these comments are pretty amazing really.

when the preorder costumes for PSABR is resolved (the Vita version) hopefully something will be posted so we know they are available … while it’s certainly disappointing not to have them yet, it does not interfere with actually playing the game … 1 trophy away from my platinum – yea ! hoping for a Christmas sale …. :-)
