  • I’m all for free games on PSN, but some games just don’t lend themselves to digital downloads and SSFIV Arcade Edition is one of them….18GB!?! That’s that Bluray is for.

Not to mention that most Street Fighter fans already own it by now.
I’m not sure if this is a plan to get more people to upgrade to a 750GB “Slimmer” model (yes I know you can upgrade the hdd yourself, but then you risk having skipping FMV and other issues).

Or perhaps they don’t want us keeping many free games on our PS3 at any one time so this would make a perfect game to keep us under control.

If L.A. Noire is given away free I think I’ll have my answer!

  • Also,
    PLEASE FIX MUSIC UNLIMITED!!

It seems like every time I actually try to use it I get I get an error saying their server is down. :(
I’m beginning to see why it was marked down so much.

Just tried to connect on my iPod and I got this message… Now trying the PS3…

A CONNECTION TO THE SERVER COULD NOT BE ESTABLISHED.
PRESS THE PS BUTTON TO CLOSE THIS APPLICATION.

    Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghh. Seriously. PLEASR F. I. X. T. H. I. S.

  • @250 Any game you download is added to your download list, which is kept on forever. I tend to play games once, then never return to them.

Bluray can hold up to 50GB dual layer. I have to clear off 25GB on my PC, just so I could play WOW.
Its a pain to need a bigger hdd on 360 since you can install every game disc to hdd. Unlike PS3, which doesn’t do that often, but the downloads can get huge.

As for me, I have a 160GB PS3 and I prefer discs over digital.

  • @251 *insert Nelson Muntz’s “Ha-Ha” image here*

But seriously, try again later. Sometimes the server does go offline for maintenance.

  • $15.99 for gtasa? Really?

  • Has the issue with Big Sky Infinity not being counted as a cross buy purchase been fixed?

  • I am a bit disappointed by this update… Nothing for the Vita except Bigsky, which is free for the European PS+, but full price in the US ( not even a tiny discount )… Further more, the PS3 still gets some PS+ new deals, and the Vita… Nothing… Not even a simple PS1 or PSP game… not a single discount… Nothing…

Come on Sony, the effort for the Vita has to be constant, you are making again and again the same mistake by doing it one shot, and let go and focus for the million time this year on the PS3

Since The vita was released, i can tell that the US PSN is really lacking handheld love compared to the EU PSN… PSP games are way too expensive for some ( 20 bucks for Midnightclub ??? Seriously ??? and people complain about 15 for SA… )

How about releasing all the missing PSP games on Vita, and all PS1 as well… We are waiting for something that exists for ages… What makes it so damn difficult to unblock it for the PSV ???

I hope the next update will be seriously better…

  • I’d like to know what’s going on with the Motorstorm Pacific Rift track packs. I looked for them again today and both packs are still missing. I know it’s an old game and that it doesn’t support online anymore but there are still people saving up their pennies to purchase these two packs. Love them to return and love them even more if they returned at a severely reduced price.

Now someone will tell me they were online only so that’s why they vanished…

  • @255 The month isn’t over yet, so maybe next week we’ll see some Vita titles.

  • @257
I really hope so… and i really want Sony and Third party to include PSP, Minis and PS1 games as instant game or heavy discount in the PS+ offer…

And NFS Demo could be a good thing too..

  • 15 bucks for a PS2 classics?

    what?

Rockstar can make an enhanced version of GTA for iOS but why they have to put these cheap, lazy versions on PSN???

at least make it a port, not a PS2 classics that run on the emulator with terrible graphics.

  • Still no price drop on LocoRoco, when you can buy LocoRoco 2, LoroRoco: Midnight Carnival and the LocoRoco LBP costumes and still have money left over.

It is ridiculous how poorly managed your content is, and that’s not even including the horrible new store.

  • I meant, that LocoRoco’s price is so high you can buy all the SEQUELS and more for the same price as the overpriced original. Forgot ‘for the same price’ somewhere in my last comment to make that more clear.

  • Can’t wait to play SSFIV:AC and Rochard thanks to PS+! :)

    I have a quick question.

Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, the PSP classic has disappeared from the PSN since March 2012. When will it reappear on the digital store so I can pick it up for my Vita and PSP GO?

    Thank you!

  • Just wanted to tell someone I’m also having Big Sky issues. I bought it on the PS3 and when I go to it in the store it wants to charge me 9.99, I downloaded it from my recently downloaded list but it errors on install. I wnt back to my PS3 to download it and the PS3 store wants me to buy it again, so I went to the PS3 recently downloaded list and got it, still won’t install on my Vita.

Also what is the day one patch to 1.01? Why couldn’t the download be 1.01 already?

  • Since a Classic release made front page card, I’ll ask about another classic.
How come Medal of Honor for PSOne went M.I.A. from the US PS Store? It’s neither in the lists, nor in search.

  • I didn’t even realize there was a “Spend $60 USD and get $10 USD back ” promotion for Black Friday…whoops.

As for the NISA sale, I didn’t even realize ZHP would have been discounted.

That game is worth $30 USD IMO….at $15 USD…that game is a steal.

It’s my new favorite game of all time.

  • Wow $15 for GTA: SA? Was going to get but not for that price. Totally agree with @255. Show some Vita love!!! Don’t you want to sell the Vita and memory cards? PSP games are too expensive. Where is Wrestlefest?

  • #212 the deal is I bought a ps3 that played ps2 games for 500$ at launch. That is the reason I paid that much for it because that is one of the functions I wanted on it. So just because sony wants to sell these remade game on psn to suck a little more money out of us they take a function out of there machine That was a selling point for me and many others. Now most of these machines are braking from overheating. That is what they are known for. Then warranty can not even replace what I bought with the same ps3 I had. They have to give me a second rate ps3 that does not have all the functions as the one I paid for has. WHY?? Because sony wants to make more money of off people for that function. Changed my way of thinking. Sony I will never and I mean never buy a gaming system from you at launch again. I will give it a while to see what you do with it first.

  • Woah, a language pack for AC3? That’s amazing! I wish this was standard for all international releases from any country. I’ve been wanting to buy Ni no Kuni here in Japan, but it’s probably got no English support considering it is just getting released in English. I’d jump on the opportunity if I knew there was an English language pack made available, even if there was a small fee involved.

  • I really think Sony should let the PS2 Classics emulate on the PS Vita.
It would make those $15 releases more tempting if we could have a choice of playing it on the go, not to mention the resolution would be more fitting to the PS vita’s screen.

I always thought this was the plan from the start.

    1. PSX classics for the PSP
    2. PS2 classics for the Vita
    3. PS3 classics for the ?!?!
    4. PROFIT! – Or something like that. ;)

Speaking of PS1 games, let’s get the Crash and Spyro games over to the Vita once and for all! It would make a lot of people happy.

  • Not buying much of anything on PSN, same games can be had for half and even 1 third the price on steam and even retail outlets its idiotic. Steam is so much better then psn. 14.99 for San andreas and its not even a hd ramake ROFL. Sony how you dissappoint with your PSn pricing.

  • Why are psn games not available for vita? And did you forget to add more ps one and psp titles for vita? It’s like sony is trying to fail with the vita. everyone sees the issue but sony it seems.

  • I just wanted to say that I like the new store layout. It’s a little slow, but I like navigating through the categories. Keep working on the store’s bugs because I love the look and just want to see it run a little smoother.

I said it last week, and I’m going to stick to my guns: The most important update that the PlayStation 3 needs is alphabetical ordering of my download list in the store and on my console.

Seriously, when you don’t allow me to alphabetize my digital game collection, I picture your offices as the messiest place on the planet. Who needs an organization system when you can just throw your stuff all over the floor?

  • Regretting my vita purchase big time. When is Vita going to get monster hunter? I bought a ps3 for monster hunter and that never happened other then the hd version i imported in japanese and now 3ds is getting it 3g and 4. What am I doing with this thing. Heck the trade in value on it is only $55 so im basically stuck with it now. Feeling really let down by sony on this purchase.

  • @258 NFS Demo? There is already one out for PS3.

@264 I think it was the one included with Medal of Honor Limited Edition.

  • I hear you talking beastxjason and then they wonder why they are in third place for console sells and the vita not doing what they want it too. For some reason they will not hear our request for them, or even acknowledge that we are asking. Other companies do and it works for them. I do not understand it. It has changed this sony fan way of thinking of them. It is kind of sad for someone that has always had nothing be sony products. They did not use to be this way.

  • Last time I checked the store was months ago, and the ps1 classics list for vita is still awful. Did they really think everyone wanted to play fishing and bowling games? The vita is a great system and all but if scea are going to keep half***ing it’s content like this then count me amongst the buyer’s remorse crowd.

  • @274/5/6, anyway Dukenator
The original MoH was available separately in the Classics section, for $6. MoH Underground is still there. MoH is still listed on playstation.com
    http://us.playstation.com/games-and-media/games/medal-of-honor-psp-ps3.html
Actually, Underground is not in the list of Classics on the website O_o What gives, Sony?

  • @279 I prefer MOHAA. I was thinking of MOH: Frontline

  • @mcbuttz78,

“stay away from pork and coffee”

    *Vadernoooooooo.jpg*

  • Damn I would like a demo for Big Sky Infinity too…anyway nice update…I’ll be getting Rochard and Dunwall City trials also I’ll have to check out the Black Knight Sword demo…Never heard of that game…damn. Also Sony Its about time to announce some christmas deals…I’m just waiting to buy a $50.00 card.

So here I’ll ask again…would you guys PLEASE take out that stupid “proceed to checkout” when we’re about to download an demo…its really annoying, useless and unecessary.

  • Rockstar commented on the SA price:

Hey guys, we hear the feedback on the pricing and would like to point out that the price point on PlayStation Store is consistent with digital versions of San Andreas everywhere. We hope those of you who pick it up enjoy heading back to Grove Street.

    https://blog.playstation.com/2012/12/11/grand-theft-auto-san-andreas-ps2-classic-hits-playstation-store-today/

Like many have said, it’s not Sony’s fault. Publishers make the pricing and this price is consistent with other places.

  • That Judge Dee game is pretty good for a point and click game so far, but i still think $5 is a better price tag.

  • So, Europe gets Spyro on Vita and another Christmas sale, and what did we get? An overpriced PS2 Classic and a Vita game that can’t even be properly installed on it… Kudos, SCEA. I can’t wait to see how you outdo yourselves on the Vita’s 1 year anniversary ¬¬

  • @BEASTXJASON I’m just the opposite. I love my Vita. First, I knew what I was getting BEFORE I purchased it. I didn’t buy it hoping a title I really want was made for it. That was probably your first mistake.

I bought the Vita when I saw the Instant Game Content they added to PSN Plus which I was already subscribed to. Gravity Rush and Uncharted are some great games to start off with on a new, shiny Vita.

Also, I bought mine during the Best Buy BF sale bundled which came with Black Ops and a memory card for $200, another great win for me.

All-in-all, I’m one satisfied Vita owner. Can’t wait to buy Persona 4 after I catch up to my backlog of Vita games.

  • @ estoc1

the WiiU isnt kicking anything except itself in the butt!

  • Why is Rochard only free for a week? Doesn’t each game that joins the IGC stay free for atleast a month or two?

  • Thank you very much Grace Chen for keeping me updated on the situation regarding the voucher for those who bought the Alice Madness Returns Ultimate Bundle (Edition) game on november 20th that did not included American McGee’s Alice.

I got the voucher today, downloaded and installed it on my PS3’s HD with success.

    Thank You !!

Now i just wish the next (last) 2 updates of the year on the PS Store to be as magestic as the update on december 2011.

PS: Wondering when Okami HD and Sound Shapes PS3 will have a special discount.

  • Will we ever see more Neo-Geo Station games? It’s been, what, 2 years now?

And yet they still sit on the main page as a featured item on the PSN Store.
Let’s see some new releases for it. I’ll buy them all as long as you add Trophies, Vita support,
and sell them for $5 a pop.

Hell, I’ll even buy the old ones all over again!

  • sorry to ask again but, i have super street fighter IV, if i renew my plus can get the arcade edition update only o have to download the full game?

  • whens this update going to be hitting the store? im pretty keen on dunwall city trials but i cant seem to get the store update

  • WE NEED SPYRO AND CRASH BANDACOOT ON THE VITA STORES!!!!!! Europe got spyro already on the vita store why not in US?

  • I think it’s kind of lame that we have to download the whole game for SSFIV: Arcade Edition. I would have been great if you had unlocked the Arcade Edition DLC for SSFIV at the same time. You should have thought about those who already own the game. I want to play Arcade Edition but there is no way I’m gonna wait for hours (and take almost 18GB of my HDD) for that game to download… Please see if you can do something about it!

  • Oh yes…Vita compatibility for Patapon 3 and Valkyria Chronicles 2 please!

  • Ok so no major updates, The plus games were a bigger disappointment then I thought it’d be, It took 6hrs to download and install street fighter for 10 mins of gameplay and a 30 min delete… Rochard game was a bust.

No big guns came out, just kiddy things besides GTA, which many say is overpriced with no trophies or in HD at least

Oh and the NFL dynamic themes for 3 bucks, I’ve noticed a a lot of dynamic themes that just, well its just awful, The background can be internet searched and the theme settings aren’t really special at all, just changed the color it looked like and that’s it. I’ve seen free ones on sites that looked better than that, hell could make your own that would look better then them.

  • ATTENTION GRACE THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BLOG SHARE:

Idea 63372: NEEDS TO BE PLACED UNDER IN ACTION NOW SENSE THE STORE HAS THE DYNAMIC THEMES/AVATARS FOR NFL NOW

    thanks :D

    just trying to help out

  • I love my Vita. I also wish Sony could be doing a lot more for it, and think some of these problems could be avoided.

But seriously, complaining about it publicly on here isn’t going to do anything except make the problem worse. People who are contemplating buying a Vita most likely will be scared away when they read about all the problems and complaints. And without new adoption, Sony will be less likely to put resources into fixing issues and more into new ideas to generate sales.
