I miss the ps blog 4 or 5 months ago when people actually had good opinions and good points about content well that’s before this new wave of whiners that think that ps plus owes them free recent tittles , you people are not entitled to any content, and for the record you should read the user terms of this service, not all the titles are exclusive for you own fun only, people here have different tastes and you know what you get.

Have you ever thought about the fact that the current poll results might influence a person’s decision on what to pick? All the negative comments will be read by people who like the service and seeing comparison after comparison to EU PS+ will make their outlook on US PS+ negative even if they think they’re getting their money’s worth. IMO SCEA made a common sense decision by making these polls private. At best they should reveal the results at the end of the month.
I just want to say that I am happy. I like to voice my opinion about my favorite genres and keep my fingers crossed that I don’t already own the games being offered. And I’ll definitely bring it up if we get another fighting game anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean I’m not extremely happy. That’s just a debate about genres and variety and that’s reasonable.
This should only be a debate about genres and format, because for $50 a year the value is unbelievable. I can’t imagine a better/more valuable/more fun way to spend $50 on gaming in a year, and I’m dumbfounded at the negativity. My best guess is that the majority of the complainers aren’t the ones spending that $50.
I’ve been pretty disappointed with the last few updates, and this one’s no better. Megaman is better than NBA Jam, but quite a letdown, especially after seeing the EU updates.
Recently my favorite updates have been the large widespread sales like the Halloween Sale and the Holiday Sale, because it gives you a good chance to find something you really wanted for cheap. In today’s poll I voted for all of the different types of RPGs — something like Disgaea or Rainbow Moon or Mass Effect would be awesome — as well as my other favorites like Puzzle games and Platformers. I think it’s very fair to say that RPGs (especially when you clump together western and japanese) are a very popular genre that hopefully get a little more love from PS+ in the future.
But overall I vote for variety, as long as it’s spread evenly. Keep up the good work!
TehCro same here , full retail games take up sooooo much space idk why ppl are crazy about them digitaly. Psn games are worth it they dont take up to much space. i do get retail games sometimes just like i got just cause 2 last tuesday. realy depends but its pretty rare when i do.
Maybe in one of the poles you can put 5 games you are trying to secure for a ps+ future update and allow people to vote on what they want and if the polls are hidden it can still be a surprise. That way you can give a majority of people what they want lets say you do that one game out of every month. It also increases peoples opinions and feels like they are being heard. I know that would be hard to do with securing games that close to a deadline but you could have the community vote on a game that we might get in two months.
I know this is late in the comments and hope that this gets heard and not lost.
About the polls, don’t make us choose one thing we liked. Instead, let us assign a value to each choice that pertains to how well we liked something. If I liked 3 of the 5 things offered this month, but am only able to choose one as the something I liked, that’s not very representative is it? That says that I didn’t like the other 4 choices, and that is incorrect.

Point is, yes, very unbalanced (shamefully so), but I, for one, am just as well.

Ummm, yeah. So your own poll shows just how divided your customer are over what kinds of games they want to see. Once again, you will ignore this fact and arbitrarily choose games to be free that will not appeal to the majority of your customers.
When will you figure out that we want to choose the games we get for free. Not only will this alleviate all the concerns gamers have over which titles they want, but it will PREVENT games like me that consistently get games offered they already paid for.
@466 From what I understand S-E is working on an HD collection of 1 and 2 with the Final Mix versions as well but so far only the Japanese one has been confirmed with no release date in sight. Don’t expect it for awhile, though, we’ve still yet to receive anymore word on the FFX HD update they announced a year or so ago.
I agreed with the team hiding the response to the survey. With the results that everyone can see before the voting is over creates bias to the poll. With all the results hidden, people can vote more level-headed and you can get better results.
I also think that people should stop complaining, Plus is a great value as it is right now. Even if you only owe a PS Vita, they gave you uncharted, wipeout, gravity rush and a few other ‘full game’ for 50 dollar not including the monthly updates, what exactly are people complaining about?
If you do not think that Plus is a great value, you are free to unsubscribe, but good luck getting same amount of value for 50 dollar (price of 1 full price game). For people who already has the retail game they give you; you can trade in or sell your game on amazon and get like 10 dollar or more back on most game, that will lessen the hit on your Plus subscription as well.

NBA Jam really sucks (I loved the older versions of the game but this one is just not the same) and Mega Man 9+10, hey I love Mega Man but I feel like that should be an extra little freebie than stand alone content for the entire week. Overall, while very new to the service, I don’t feel like my 5 bucks a month entitles me to whine every time i get some stuff i don’t like. If I didn’t think it was worth it I would stop buying it.
You see how divided the gaming taste is on PS3? We enjoy every type of game, what if someone really like NBA Jam and hates JRPG? You should keep your preference and opinions to yourself. The 3 months I have joined Plus I have received every type of game thus far. Resident Evil (Action/Horror Adventure), NBA Jam (Sports), Bioshock 2 (FPS), Quantum Conundrum (Puzzle), KOF and SF (Fighter), and bought many others like Tokyo Jungle (Japanese niche), Dungeon Defender (Tower Defense + Action). They are providing variety, if you are unhappy you need to stop crying fowl and grow up, you are all adults now if you don’t like Plus then unsubscribe, but everyone of you probably got your 50 dollars worth already within first few months so stop being downer.
I’ll just say what I feel that I must to say: I’m new PLUS and I just have a PsVita, so, nothing for me this week… Why? why is this like this? I expected a Psone Classic or a Psp game, there is a lot and I dont think that all of them sell very much… I really hope you consider drop us some more bones in the near future…

@Morgan, DO NOT say your repetitive “Just wait till you see what’s coming” and than give us nothing. Bioshock 2 is an awesome game but EU got the new Batman game last month. We get a good game from years ago and EU get great games from a year ago. I’m asking for you to give us a game that is not just within a year old and a blockbuster game equal to the content on EU. Also please don’t say “It’s different because of the markets” Because this is America, biggest gaming market, so in turn you should be able to secure same titles as Europe. Also, bring us an RPG. A year I’ve seen post after post asking for one and you keep saying “Thank you for the feedback” and nothing comes. I don’t care if it’s Two Worlds 2, just give us an RPG. We get sports, fighting and FPS and the occasional action game but why not make it a point to release a different genre every month. If you give us sports in January, than February, give us an entirely new genre. One month sports gamers get their fix and the next month RPG guys get theirs and Action and so on. We’re your customers, we have demands and you have gone over a year of avoiding a huge group of us. That’s not good business practices. So let’s change that in 2013. OK?
So a recap, if I may: Two updates for PS+ so far this year, not one game I’d download for free yet. So far this year, 0-2 Sony. I’m counting down the weeks until my Plus membership expires, because at this rate, I’ll never re-enroll. Step it up!

On a side note: I don’t care about the polls. We don’t need a poll to know that people didn’t want NBA Jam and while I like Megaman , I’m 33 and grew up playing the franchise, I don’t think this genre of game is going to appeal to the majority of members here. Don’t get me wrong, I like that you give us a few cult game favorites to appeal to some smaller groups. But you need at least one BIG game that appeals to the masses. @Morgan, knows these last 2 offerings we’re very weak. You can’t think NBA JAM or Megaman is going to be well received. I know you have to keep us happy and attract new customers but come on, you can’t seriously think this content is attracting a large audience of new customers. Maybe a couple older gamers but doubtful as Megaman alone isn’t going to get their attention.

Hey great idea “lets hide the poll to keep people from talking about it ” …..serioursly it worked the complete opposite. I see more people asking about it then ever. If you are ashamed of the feedback you get maybe you should try to listen to what the community is telling you and stop giving us sub par content!
It’s not like Sony was begging the Dora the Explorer publisher to put their games on the PS3. They wanted to and Sony allowed it. I doubt the PS2 Classics actually have to be classics. If I’m not mistaken they put Trigger Man on the store, which is a terrible game that no one should play.
Considering people don’t understand that all positive options would be added together and then compared to the one all purpose negative option, I am not surprised the results are now hidden. People don’t grasp simple statistics. Them being different options, doesn’t mean they’re not all positive options.
Only way to actually take the poll as is would be if the poll was “Are you happy with the content this week?” “Yes” or “No”.
At least it’s starting to become easier to tell the difference between the people that give legit feedback and leave suggestions on how to better PSPlus and the ones that are just jumping on this silly Plus sucks bandwagon for one reason or another because they don’t get so and so for their $50 dollar plus sub (free subbs in some cases) crowd. The demands and insults are just getting so childish it’s hard to take them serious anymore.

NBA Jam really sucks (I loved the older versions of the game but this one is just not the same) and Mega Man 9+10, hey I love Mega Man but I feel like that should be an extra little freebie than stand alone content for the entire week. Overall, while very new to the service, I don’t feel like my 5 bucks a month entitles me to whine every time i get some stuff i don’t like. If I didn’t think it was worth it I would stop buying it.

You see how divided the gaming taste is on PS3? We enjoy every type of game, what if someone really like NBA Jam and hates JRPG? You should keep your preference and opinions to yourself. The 3 months I have joined Plus I have received every type of game thus far. Resident Evil (Action/Horror Adventure), NBA Jam (Sports), Bioshock 2 (FPS), Quantum Conundrum (Puzzle), KOF and SF (Fighter), and bought many others like Tokyo Jungle (Japanese niche), Dungeon Defender (Tower Defense + Action). They are providing variety, if you are unhappy you need to stop crying fowl and grow up, you are all adults now if you don’t like Plus then unsubscribe, but everyone of you probably got your 50 dollars worth already within first few months so stop being downer.

I’ll just say what I feel that I must to say: I’m new PLUS and I just have a PsVita, so, nothing for me this week… Why? why is this like this? I expected a Psone Classic or a Psp game, there is a lot and I dont think that all of them sell very much… I really hope you consider drop us some more bones in the near future…
I have to say that the GoW:A beta is a good deal, and the sport game, I’m not a big fan of those games… I love Megaman! but PsVita? no? u.u
I still have hopes for Sony and my PSVita, btw…

Meh, nothing for me in this update but I’m fine with that. I think Plus is a great service anyway, at least you get your moneys worth with a ton of free stuff, unlike Xbox live

If only more people had such a levelheaded mindset. I believe one(MAYBE two) month of PS+ more than pays for itself with the discounts/cloud storage/automatic patch downloads/trophy sync…..and oh yeah FREE games!*
If you aren’t really happy with what NA is getting, then don’t know what to tell you, I guess you can’t please everyone.
At a great price of $50/year, I am continually in disbelief how much content we are getting in addition to the automatic 1GB of cloud storage and updates

@Morgan, DO NOT say your repetitive “Just wait till you see what’s coming” and than give us nothing. Bioshock 2 is an awesome game but EU got the new Batman game last month. We get a good game from years ago and EU get great games from a year ago. I’m asking for you to give us a game that is not just within a year old and a blockbuster game equal to the content on EU. Also please don’t say “It’s different because of the markets” Because this is America, biggest gaming market, so in turn you should be able to secure same titles as Europe. Also, bring us an RPG. A year I’ve seen post after post asking for one and you keep saying “Thank you for the feedback” and nothing comes. I don’t care if it’s Two Worlds 2, just give us an RPG. We get sports, fighting and FPS and the occasional action game but why not make it a point to release a different genre every month. If you give us sports in January, than February, give us an entirely new genre. One month sports gamers get their fix and the next month RPG guys get theirs and Action and so on. We’re your customers, we have demands and you have gone over a year of avoiding a huge group of us. That’s not good business practices. So let’s change that in 2013. OK?
So a recap, if I may: Two updates for PS+ so far this year, not one game I’d download for free yet. So far this year, 0-2 Sony. I’m counting down the weeks until my Plus membership expires, because at this rate, I’ll never re-enroll. Step it up!

Make an effort and offer some AAA PSP and PS1 titles ???
I mean a free Final fantasy 6, or chrono cross, or Ghost of sparta… Thoses plateforms are full of gems, and it could be a great opportunity to offer some to PS+ members.
Can you also push SE to localize FFtype 0, and release Crisis core and Birth by sleep on the PSN ????

On a side note: I don’t care about the polls. We don’t need a poll to know that people didn’t want NBA Jam and while I like Megaman , I’m 33 and grew up playing the franchise, I don’t think this genre of game is going to appeal to the majority of members here. Don’t get me wrong, I like that you give us a few cult game favorites to appeal to some smaller groups. But you need at least one BIG game that appeals to the masses. @Morgan, knows these last 2 offerings we’re very weak. You can’t think NBA JAM or Megaman is going to be well received. I know you have to keep us happy and attract new customers but come on, you can’t seriously think this content is attracting a large audience of new customers. Maybe a couple older gamers but doubtful as Megaman alone isn’t going to get their attention.
Pretty weak update, nothing for me this week.
Anyway, is this the place to complain about the sluggish store? I really would prefer to go back to the old PlayStation Store but I guess it doesn’t matter if the updates stay this weak.
You know, the PS2 was an amazing console, I know there are better games than Dora the Explorer.

Hey great idea “lets hide the poll to keep people from talking about it ” …..serioursly it worked the complete opposite. I see more people asking about it then ever. If you are ashamed of the feedback you get maybe you should try to listen to what the community is telling you and stop giving us sub par content!

It’s not like Sony was begging the Dora the Explorer publisher to put their games on the PS3. They wanted to and Sony allowed it. I doubt the PS2 Classics actually have to be classics. If I’m not mistaken they put Trigger Man on the store, which is a terrible game that no one should play.
Sadly I own both MM9 and 10, but they are fantastic games and it’s nice to see them offered.
I don’t understand all the negative comments on here…….just don’t get it.

If you want old school games, put good games, mega man is not.
European Plus still like 5x+ better than US.
You should think about that or people will start leaving.

Considering people don’t understand that all positive options would be added together and then compared to the one all purpose negative option, I am not surprised the results are now hidden. People don’t grasp simple statistics. Them being different options, doesn’t mean they’re not all positive options.
Only way to actually take the poll as is would be if the poll was “Are you happy with the content this week?” “Yes” or “No”.
At least it’s starting to become easier to tell the difference between the people that give legit feedback and leave suggestions on how to better PSPlus and the ones that are just jumping on this silly Plus sucks bandwagon for one reason or another because they don’t get so and so for their $50 dollar plus sub (free subbs in some cases) crowd. The demands and insults are just getting so childish it’s hard to take them serious anymore.
The blog needs an ignore function so we can ignore the people that hop on here week after week with some immature comment so we can just skip those children’s “opinions” all together.

I’ve been a Plus member since the beginning and I gotta say the service has been lacking for quite some time now. I am one of the people wishing we got what EU gets. The funny thing is people over there complain saying they want what US gets. That boggles my mind, but I guess you can’t please everyone.
