  • @AuralPrincess

    1. Statistics would disagree with you.

    2. “I’m not undermining PSN games by any means, I’m simply stating that most people cringe at the thought of us getting these types of games while EU gets THOSE types of games.”

No no no… that argument is definitely invalid, and it’s definitely due to it’s opinionated nature. See, the first mistake everyone is making, is looking at what their neighbor has instead of appreciating what’s right here at home. That’s at the heart of much of the complaining. This EU vs. NA thing was started by those who have a hard time appreciating what they have (as well as those who lack knowledge of regional laws), and the rest of the materialistic segment jumped on the bandwagon. A bunch of parrots all repeating the same thing. “EU is better!” The value of each individual game to each individual is decided by the… individual. If people even have their own minds anymore…

  • heck no theres nothing updated in Plus section of the store theres no mega man & No God of war Us Members get Screwed Again

  • Buenas tardes que hora montan el Beta, me meto en la Parte de PsnStore de Betas y solo aparece Resistencia 3 … AUN NO MONTAN el Beta de Dios de War Ascensión …? respondan estoy ansioso por probarlo…

  • @ PrimeroIncognito

1.- No they do not, a lot of people cannot stand 8 bit/16 bit games anymore. A lot of us find them cheap and unplayable in this day and age. Megaman DOES not cater to most players. That you like the games does not voice the opinion of most (read all the comments and most people did not like they update, so speak for yourself).

2.- Retail games might not be received better (look at kof 13) than PSN only games nor they are necessarily better games but they give the perception of better value to the customer and even if we do not like the game, we are satisfied because it talks well about the effort of the company in plus. Giving us cheap 8 bit games, bad games like chronovolt and 16 bit games like NBA jam is only gonna look like you do not give a crap about your customers if they do not like those games. Now, a lot of people did not care about bioshock 2 (because most of us that actually cared for the game, already played it ages ago) but the feedback was largely positive in the comments because its actually a good game.

  • @DonkeyKongKilla ppl like primo are just old and alone and doesnt know what to do other than come to a blog and pick up arguments with others.

  • @sab_krit – and you know what, he actually claimed others more than half the time start it with him…. Um, Not one comment I seen until he opened his big loud mouth had his name in it…. am i correct?

  • @dragoon2659 – not yet, they tend to do it more later on the day…. expect it in a couple of hours.

  • 1. Sales would disagree with you.

    2. People would be more appreciative if everything was fair. Regional laws or not, if one can’t have said item, then the other shouldn’t because it isn’t fair. People do not feel comfortable paying for something that feels inferior to them, nor do I. You are diminishing everyone’s opinion by doing so, when you pay for something you have a right to complain if you feel you are being treated unfairly, if it was a FREE game (as in not PS+, just overall free) I would agree with you 100%, but this isn’t the case. Imagine if you were paying the same amount of money your neighbor has for a cable service (example) but he gets more channels, features, service, etc, would YOU keep paying for a clearly inferior service?

  • @AuralPrincess

“I only said they felt like bigger experiences, because, omg, they are. Bigger budgets, actual voice acting, story, etc, AKA a more COMPLETE EXPERIENCE”

How do bigger budgets lead to a more “complete experience”? Can you even define “complete experience”? What leads to a “complete experience” FOR ALL? Isn’t that just another thing that’s ultimately decided by each individual, due to more defining factors, such as immersion and emotional satisfaction? Special effects and voice acting don’t necessarily lead to greater immersion, satisfaction, or a more “complete experience”. Imagination is the number one motivator to a “complete experience”, both on the developer’s end as well as the player’s.

How many big-budget games have been absolute stinkers? I’ve got a few opinions there, and I’m sure you do too.

Point is: big budget =/= better experience. It’s all about the talent of the dev. team.

Limbo is a perfect example of what I’m talking about.

  • @DonkeyKongKilla – Absolutely, he is like a home alone dog with seperation anxiety who keeps barking at something which is of no concern to him.

  • @ afr1234 – Well Said. Someone appreciates the value of perception and offerings.

  • they need to get get on the ball

  • NO HAN RESPONDIDO MI PREGUNTA ALGUN ADMI DEL SITIO… A QUE HORA MONTAN EL BETA DE GOD OF WAR ASCENCION? AUN ESTOY ESPERANDO QUE ESTE DISPONIBLE

  • HAVE NOT ANSWERED MY QUESTION, ANY SITE ADMIN …? A TIME TO RIDE THE BETA OF GOD OF WAR ASCENCION? Still waiting to be available

  • @ Donkey

“rcr was definitely not made for hd seeing how its all pixels you can see”

Umm… 720p would disagree with you. Even better, the game’s developer would disagree with you too. For the last time, the “pixelated” appearance is intentional for a reason… a very good reason.

“Now why don’t you try and be helpful to people besides trying to be a jackass”

Be helpful… That’s exactly what I’m trying to do. Don’t get all testy just because I’m right. :)

    “Ignoring you for now on.”

I wouldn’t mind that. We’ll see if you follow through with it though…

Peace Donkey. Have a good one. :)

  • @Primo

afr1234 Said it better than I could. It shows more effort on the Team’s side rather than going for the most cheap available options.

  • @afr1234

“No they do not, a lot of people cannot stand 8 bit/16 bit games anymore. A lot of us find them cheap and unplayable in this day and age.”

Why? Explain this strange phenomenon to me…

    @ AuralPrincess

    “Sales would disagree with you.”

You mean the sales numbers that developers see that encourages them to keep producing “retro” games? I think sales would disagree with YOU. Both sales and statistics. I like how you ignored the point about statistics too… you’re starting to crack… you’re starting to remind me of that guy from last week… if you remember, the lonely old man…

  • @sab_krit – Honestly, I just think he’s lonely… Even people that would agree these are bad games are arguing against him. If that’s not a big red flag, I don’t know what is.

  • – afr1234 said “A lot of us” he didn’t say “All of us”. Nothing strange there, seeing as how I myself would have loved something other than Megaman 9 & 10.

    – Nope, I mean the sales numbers that keep giving Activision and Ubisoft the go to keep making mediocre yearly sequels instead of making quality games like Far Cry 3, Dishonored, etc.

  • Donkey: “he actually claimed others more than half the time start it with him…. Um, Not one comment I seen until he opened his big loud mouth had his name in it…”

This is all a continuation from the past weeks, goofball. That’s when YOU started with me.

And sab_krit, AuralPrincess, and asf1234 are ALL perfect example of this, actually.

Are you blind Donkey? Three people (not even including you) have ADDRESSED ME FIRST on the last two pages!

  • @619 If explained, you cannot grasp it.

Dude, When there is a psn game priced 59.99 on the release date, you can talk your point till then. PSN game is not equal to a retail game.

    Hmmmm Psycho.

  • @ DonkeyKongKilla lol you are right he’s still yapping at you. He just said you started the argument with him, when clearly its him who started it. Damn that old lonely man cracks me up.

  • Wow, so sick of hearing the NA/EU comparisons. Please do us all a favor and not renew if you’re going to throw a hissy fit week after week about it.

All the adults thank you for not renewing. How can anyone have anything to complain about. You do realize its only $50 for a year right? If you somehow think the content being offered is somehow not worth it, I feel sorry for you.

  • AuralPrincess: “afr1234 said ‘A lot of us’ he didn’t say ‘All of us’. Nothing strange there, seeing as how I myself would have loved something other than Megaman 9 & 10.”

How does you (AuralPrincess) and asf1234 = “A lot of us”? You’re sure speaking for a lot of other people there…

If I had Plus, and I didn’t already have MM 9 & 10, I’d have loved this update! I see lots of comments that are happy too…

Of course the complainers are here as well, but what else is new… same old blah blah blah from ungrateful brats who only have themselves to blame for not looking into what Plus was all about before they came aboard.

  • @DonkeyKongKilla – For all we know that old lonely man might be trying to get a hard… (ya know) just arguing at ya.

  • @Anyone calling Primo names – please stop. There is no need to call anyone any names, this is a discussion about the PS+ service.. and apparently Retro City Rampage. Calling people names shows you are immature, he isn’t calling any of you by names, so give proper respect.

  • sab_krit,

So Walking Dead which was a PSN game for 7 months first before hitting shelves in Dec, is not equal to a retail game? Hmmm, I’d have to agree, its BETTER. Has to be the best game I’ve played on the PS3.

    Fail.

  • @msstrings Absolutely right, At this rate I wont renew this crappy service, but damn I have paid for one year so Sorry you need to hear me complaining till my subscription lasts. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

  • Be careful mnstrings! These angry crybabies will attack you for speaking the truth!

Oh wait, no they won’t… I notice how there are at least 20 other people saying what I say, but none of them get any responses. As soon as I show up and say the exact same thing, I get jumped by 5 people at once. I feel so popular… :)

  • @mnstrings So give me walking dead on plus instead of NBA JAM on fire.

  • @msstrings So that is also releasing as retail stuff. Damn so its not just a PSN game anymore, its a retail release.

    Fail.

  • @AuralPrincess

Actually, it doesn’t bother me to be called a psycho. In fact, I rather like it!

I take it as a compliment. Thank you sab_krit. :)

Besides, it gives me the freedom to call them names back, which can be fun at times… heh heh…

  • @Psycho Yep you are infamous :)

  • @sab_krit – exactly, He said something to me first, and all i took from it blah blah blah have more respect for crappy made games because it was designed to be vintage instead for the current era and didnt notice the fact that this post, all i really been doing was answering questions and agreeing and disagreeing with statements, none of which was his, because he starts his comments with starting drama.

  • sab_krit,

really? The first two episodes aren’t enough? Go out and buy the last three. You that cheap or something?

LOL yeah 1 GB of storage, and updates is such a waste of money, plus access to all these games, man oh man why did I “waste” my hard earned $50, AHhh, now I won’t have money to use the parking meter for a week at work!

Can’ tell if you are trolling or seriously complaining over this.

  • Just do what some have done already. Research online, make a EU account get a one year sub. If you want only do a three month NA sub, until it improves. Problem solved.

    @AuralPrincess

I totally agree with you.! I don’t want to play or “rent” any 8-bit or 16-bit, in the modern age. If I did I would still have a Nintendo, SNES, Genesis.

I started with Atari 1600, it was great in that era. But I shure wouldn’t want to play Pitfall, Zaxon, Defender again. Especially in the modern age with a modern service.

  • @AuralPrincess look at #634 proves he’s mentally unstable.

  • @sab_krit – to add on, he’s stuck in the past, times have changed and he’s like old style games are still the best blah if that was true we wouldn’t be moving forward into the technology and future of gaming.

  • @ sab_krit

Ah well, at least people know who I am and I’ve made an impression.

You’ll be completely forgotten by the community once this discussion dies down…

Being insignificant must really burn… ;)

  • @ sab_krit,

“msstrings So that is also releasing as retail stuff. Damn so its not just a PSN game anymore, its a retail release.

    Fail.”

A $30 retail, versus a $20 PSN game, so an increase in $10 somehow makes it more worth it? Your logic is not very sound….

If I were you I’d quit while I was behind, genius.

  • @DonkeyKongKilla – No not really, like I said he just gets pleasure at irritating plus members by praising the crappy service that he didnt pay for.

  • @ Donkey

    “he’s stuck in the past”

My profile (trophy/games list) would disagree with you. I embrace all eras.

  • @sab_krit, @AuralPrincess, @DonkeyKongKilla –

You guys are total a–holes. It’s as if all three of you live in a freakin’ bubble in which you can’t hear anybody else talk unless they’re in the bubble with you. You all seem to concentrate on Primero and say that he’s alone in his arguments when there have been numerous people on this blog that have expressed appreciation for this week’s (and the previous weeks) games. The games that have been delived by PS+ may not be for some people, but please stop using words like “everybody,” “most people,” and “majority”…DON’T SPEAK FOR ANYBODY BUT YOURSELVES! You are simply acting like cyber-bullies…creating an illusional gang of dissatisfied customers to try and make yourselves heard and more relevant. And attacking Primero because he had the gall to say that blog posters (including you three) shouldn’t act like boneheads!? See the statement in the right margin?…”OPEN TO EVERYONE, BUT DON’T BE A JERK. Observe it…

@Primero…well done dude. I think the majority (see what I did there?) of people know how to express their dissatisfaction constructively. Just know that not everyone on this blog is classless.

  • yes as you answered it makes it worth by $10 as you said. So what exactly is your point?

  • @mnstrings – While I agree that The Walking Dead was an amazing idea for PS+ because, hey that paved the way for people to want more and eventually buy the latter episodes, it’s promotion for sequels, an idea I threw out earlier, and what the EU offering did in a much better way. (Offered Darksiders 1, Dead Space 2 maybe some others)

The 1Gb Cloud Storage should have been free, or atleast an upgrade. Standard for free, 1Gb for Plus, then I would have called this fair. And sure, all these games that are (to me and a lot of other people) inferior to another existing service of the same name. That sounds swell.

  • @ sab_krit

“he just gets pleasure at irritating plus members”

    Are you irritated?

  • @GStyles1980, For this comment I am not going to use I, me or we.

YOU are an a-hole. Happy. See what I did there? I guess calling YOU an a-hole makes YOU happy.

ok, YOU should pass your english classes before writing YOUR comments.

  • GStylez1980

Nobody’s being a jerk to anyone, in fact I called out people that keep calling Primo names for no reason, you’re the one doing so at this moment.

Nobody’s acting like a cyberbully. I called out Primo’s original 3 points because it argued what I had written in a previous article last week, but this was in NO way directed at Primo, his opinions are his opinions and I’m not diminishing them in the least, I was simply stating that a lot of the end users feel gipped at what a glance is a much inferior service, and argued WHY it feels like one.
