  • Grabbing LBP Karting for sure! Great way to kick off another semester.

  • Well i guess it’s not bad for the end of the month… could we get “Journey” free for PS plus members? Or is it too soon, i am grabing “The unfinished Swan” and “Machinarium”

  • Esto esta buenísimo q lo disfruten todos” saludos”

  • Yea, big Sale.

The unfinished Swan is so mine.

I might pickup 4-5 more things with the great price. I bought LBP Karting from Best Buy for $20, but I’m going to return it and get the digital copy instead. Even though I think with that price it’s on the IGC soon.

  • How long will this sale be running for?

  • Great sale! The best I’ve seen in a really long time! I hope you do this more often for newer bigger titles. I’m a yearly member of PS+ and I would love to see me getting THE MOST OUT OF IT! :D

  • Are any of those 13 games available for VIta?

  • Normally I would be annoyed at Foosball, but you gave us Darksiders last week so I’ll give you a free pass, :P

  • The sales are really good, but you guys are dropping the ball bigtime for Plus on Vita. No Vita sales to be found, and aside from the initial game collection the freebies have been miserable in both quantity and quality. Y’all need to stop treating Vita owners as secondary when they paid the same price for Plus as PS3 owners yet get so much less in both monthly games and sales. It’s like you want the system to continue the path to failure and it sucks because us Vita owners don’t want it to fail. We want YOU to actually support it proper.

  • @338 EdwardCORE – Oh, that was correct as it is. To be a bit technical, the first-person pronoun is the object of the preposition “for”, so the correct phrase is, “for my kid and me,” (were the first-person pronoun is last). The most incorrect way to phrase it without being full-tilt crazy is, “for I and my kid.”

As is often the case on the Internet, those whose second (or lesser) language is English are often more literate than native English “speakers”.

  • I’d be angry about the inclusion of Foosball as the free game if I wasn’t laughing so hard about it. SCEA with the troll of the year in January.

  • Sevyne, I agree with you but we have to face facts. SCEA doesn’t really care about the Vita and the lack of sales gives them little incentive to support it.

It’s a shame too since my Vita sits on the shelf with little to no use. There is a lot SCEA could do with PSN between PSP, PS1, and Vita games to get some good will. But they fail to do so.

  • Why cant you include PSV, PSP, PSN, PSM, and Mini into the Sales…. like 13 great deal for each plateform.
So much love for the PS3 owners, and…. Foosball for the rest of us ?

Is there really no way to include at list one or two “must have” psp titles to the instant game collection for Vita owners.
Is there no way to offer PS1 games like Abe Exodus IGC
Is there any way to propose weekly discount on unpopular/expensive PSV games ( army corpse of hell, modnation, dungeon alliance )
Is there no way to see a global discount on PSP games… 40$ for Socla, when you can find it, as low as 5-9$ in stores ???
I mean, does sony really care anything else than its home console ????????
As a huge PSP player, I thought the PSV release would start a global PSP games price drop, to a 15 $…. price tag ( above PS1 ) NOT AT ALL….most games are still more expensive than the umds…but i can’t play them neither on my PSPgo or my PSV…
Come on sony, it is really not hard to rectify the wrong PSV start, just give it some love, some attention, and stop carring the PS3 only, PSV needs more love…

  • After already owning Darksiders and having the platinum for it, this week is another “nothing for me this week” again. I wanna know if there is going to be amazing content like before I subscribed to plus. I feel like I have terrible luck.

  • Only that catches my eye is LBP Karting. Hope to see more deals like this to make PS Plus worthwhile. Great deals and great discounts but would like to see more popular games at a discount. I would break out in tears once I finally see Monster Hunter Freedom 3 or Freedom 3 HD in the US like japan is enjoying it…

  • @BlueBl1zzard

I have not considered my subscription to Plus a waste of money as of yet. I was speaking mainly about the past two months. I used a trail during the first month for Uncharted and Gravity Rush and afterwards paid for a full year because the service seemed promising. The previous post is about the 2 months between the first and this month. I thought I clearly made that point but perhaps I didn’t. From the point at which I put any money into Plus, and now, my money has been wasted. Also, good deals are plentiful. I can, and have received a higher volume of good games during Steam sales with my $50.

  • When will the New Sly Cooper Demo be out?

  • Great update, but there’s nothing that catches my eye. No VITA games in the discounts is sad, It would be awesome to more PSOne Classics or PSP games in the Instant Collection, that’s why I subscribed to PSPlus! I can’t really complain, we get tons of cool PS3 games, and I bought Two Worlds 2 for $5! :B BUT GIVE SOME LOVE TO THE VITA!!!! :D

  • @mnstrings

You say Steam and PSN are different beasts but I’m not sure how accurate that is. The features were speaking of are on both services with the only difference being on charges a premium while the other offers the same feature for free.

I also never made any claim that PS Plus should have deals as good as Steam. As I have said, I don’t think it’s reasonable to excuse the current lack of new games because we get a feature that by all means could be offered for free.

In the end, your rebuttal is seemingly that we shouldn’t expect PSN to be on the same level as Steam. Also that they are purposely providing lack luster updates for Vita, because it is not designed for people with only Vita’s.

I guess I expect a little bit more for my money than you do.

  • @ 365,

Oh boohoo, Steam has better deals!

Then leave already! Glad you “wasted” your money, thanks for helping out Sony’s bottom line! LOL.

Didn’t someone already put you in your place about comparing this to Steam?

Here’s a thought genius, do a Google search “why is Steam so cheap?” Then realize why you look like a tool trying to ask yourself why companies like Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo can’t match their prices.

  • @TitleOne

$10 for $30 worth of games was an example and I did not even attempt to calculate the worth of currently available games.

I thought it served to illustrate my point pretty well. Also, read above as I believe you’re confused.

  • @TitleOne

I’m not sure where your anger is coming from. My reasoning for being unhappy with PS Plus was challenged and I have defended it. There is no reason to provide criticism of the service (as they have advised us to do) when anyone with a negative viewpoint is insulted as you have insulted me.

I will clarify once again that I have never said anything about PSN offering Steam level sales. Only that features like autoupdates and cloud storage hardly seems like something worth $5.

Free email clients offer storage for free, is that a better example?

  • So just tried adding funds to my wallet using that new paypal feature (not being advertised) and it doesn’t work.

  • @ 348 !
    I want Vita Games + Trophies !!
i don’t care about ps 1 and psp

thx morgan for foosball 2012, as long free vita game + trophies i am happy :)

  • I do understand having smaller titles switching around and keeping the evergreen ones up, albeit Foosball falls short for me. Still waiting for the title that’s going to restore my excitement with the service.

On the other hand, the deals are amazing for whoever is interested in these games, they are practically free for 75% off. I might snatch a few for the heck of it. I’m slightly envious of the FF deals going on with EU too as I would love to buy half of them (which I don’t own yet), oh well, moving on.

    Have a great day Morgan!

  • Can someone please give a complete list of PS+ Instant Game Collection for Vita?

Is it true that they’ve already removed WIPEOUT 2048 from the list already and are planning to replace FF TACTICS: WOTL with FOOSBALL?

If so, this is disappointing and gives me little reason to join PS+ ….

  • Is there any possible to put some psp games for plus next week? Since there’s not many vita, YET. Like Monster Hunter games? I think most some people don’t even know this game. please please….

  • hell yea thats was up gonna get shank 2 for $ 2.50 good price out of $ 9.99 and thanks plus for put darksiders for free love that game thanks ps plus

  • Jak & Daxter for only 2 bucks!? And Psychonauts for only 50 cents more!!?? Heck yes!

  • Wow, awesome sale! I’ll probably be buying most of those except Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 since Hot Shots Golf will be my golf game of choice and Jet Set Radio and NiGHTS since I already own those.

I also want Shinobi and Siren for PS2 to have a sale!

When is Okami HD, Renegade Ops and Sine Mora having a sale?!

  • I have had plus since the beginning, minus about 6 months that my ex broke into my house and stole my PS3 and all my games till I replaced my system. I have received 79 games on the PS3, and 8 on the Vita. That is awesome. Sometimes you guys give things away that everyone already has, like Uncharted Golden Abyss, but that’s a game that everyone that has a Vita should experience. That game is the reason I bought my Vita, and probably the reason that everyone else bought a Vita. Anyways, wow guys that is a lot of free stuff. All the sales that we have had since October, have greatly added to my digital library, and this week, I will be buying 12 of the 13 games. I am not too sure about the foosball however. It may suit my Vita better. I feel the idea of the controller for foosball on the PS3 would make it lackluster. Any chance that it has move compatibility, or the they could update it for the move? That would rock. Anyways, thanks. A huge thank you for Darksiders last week. I finally got to finish it, and get my platty.

  • lol. just sold my move bundle to buy a new game.
still well worth it and wont be getting ps+
i don’t need to pay netflix prices for bargain bin games.

  • Fantastic deal, I didn’t love what I played of LBP Karting but I did have some fun with it and for $10 that’s way too good to pass up. I’ll also be buying Machinarium, wanted to hold out for a Vita release but now it’s only $2.50 and by all accounts is a fantastic game so I’m not waiting any longer. PS Plus pays off once more.

  • I agree with the person that said you had a missed opportunity with Unit 13, for $13 for the 13 for ’13 sale.

  • @356: Maybe Jet Set Radio, but since the rest of the list is all PS3, I’d assume that the version on sale will be the PS3 version. Unless they’re doing it right, and doing it for both.

I guess we’ll see later today.

  • Yes! I am really digging the emphasis on discounted merchandise this week! I hope this is the focus PS+ will have more often!

  • Haro, in the next weeks we will have some kind of discount for PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale?

    Thanks.

  • Those discounts need to find its way to the Classics and Add Ons sections.

  • Damn. I recently got Psychonauts for $9.99.

  • What ever happened to the PS1 games? Used to be there were these amazing deals for like, every Resident Evil game and such. Now we get…. fooseball….

  • The Unfinished Swan for 3,75$? Sold. LBP Karting is also tempting (but I have too many games to play already… but it’s 10$… but too many games already… but it’s 10$! AAARRRGGGHHH) ;)

But seriously, while Foosball 2012 looks fun, it is hardly the reason why PlayStation Plus looked appealing to me when I subscribed. And this makes it harder and harder for me to convince friends to subscribe.

I know, I know, it is still the first month of the year… but still… I can’t help but feel that January has been a pathetic month for North Americans Plus subscribers…

Don’t get me wrong, I love PS+ way better than what the competition gives me (nothing, actually), but if SCEA actually wants people to think highly of the service and to recommend it to their friends, they need to offer something more substantial than this. The sale is nice, no doubt, but come on. It’s like we’ve been waiting forever for a worthwhile addition to the instant game collection (either for PS3 or VITA).

  • Fosball is the worst game ever…

  • I wish the sale was 13 for $13.

  • To the people complaining about the Vita content:

    Uncharted 40$
    Gravity Rush 40$
    Wipeout 20$

That’s two years of membership, nevermind the other 30$ or so worth of games (Chronovolt, JSR, Fooseball, FFT)

If in two years your membership still hasn’t paid for itself, let me know.

GRANTED these deals are launch titles and if you had a Vita I’m sure you had some of them (personally I had Platinum on Uncharted and Gravity Rush, but I’ve sold the cartridges, nice to have them back!)

I’m still getting the value for the Vita aspect alone, with Wipeout, FFT, JSR, Fooseball and maybe Chronovolt (it’s fairly bad I admit)

Lots of these games are new, they can’t make them free off the get-go, the catalog is small and if you have a Vita, you obviously don’t want the developers to give up on the system, right?

  • If I have choice to have middle ware vita games, like 20$ orgaritim or 15$ kyntt or 15$ odd world I would be glad to have vita game

Yet we only have what? 57mb RCR? 5$ Chrinovolt? And noowwww, foozball?
Of course me and so many others will choose over psp games than these

Well we ll see next Tuesday what vita will bring.
I really put my high expectation this week because fft is a big title, yet only replaced by…

  • I’m a vita owner, and I regret paying for ps+

  • WITH PSN PLUS. OH YEAH, VERY COOL.
WITHOUT PSN. OH NO, VERY NASTY!! BRAZILIAN PLAYER SUFFERS.

We always state that sales end before the store updates on the following day. Since the Store can up update at varying times, we wouldn’t want anyone to assume that the sale ends later in the day on Store update, and be bummed out when they miss it. But yes, if you get the jum on the Store update on the 29th, you may still see the sale in action. Don’t wait any later than 10a PST to be safe.”

Hope that helps, I’m guessing next week and I think most if not all sales are formatted this way.

  • Uh-oh can’t pass on 10$ LBP Karting.
